Great Experience! I book a hunt with Tim the owner of Red Dog Outfitters through Instagram. Tim did everything he said he was going to do. When I got to town Tim meet me and I followed him to the cabin I was staying in for the week. Once there he helped me unload my truck and then we started reviewing pictures of the bucks on the farm I would be hunting. Tim took me to the farm showed me where the stands were from a distance so we wouldn't bump any deer being I wasn't dressed to hunt since it was middle of the day and my hunt didn't start till the next morning. Once we were done he told me to get changed and start hunting tonight. My hunt was a semi guided hunt so he supplied the hunt and the lodging and that was it. Tim checked in with me morning and night making sure I was seeing movement and offered suggestions on stands to hunt for the next day based on wind. Not something you expect when you pay for a semi guided hunt. I killed a nice 9 point and called Tim to let him know. He told me to sit tight and wait and he would come help me track, again not something that typically happens on a semi guided hunt. There was no tracking involved and I told Tim that, he insisted on coming anyways to help get the deer out, again not something you expect to happen on a semi guided hunt. Tim showed up about 45 minutes after dark with his two kids with him.

My lodging was perfect. It was a two bedroom, one bath cabin I had to myself with a full kitchen.

In short I would recommend Tim *** and Red Dog outfitters to anyone. I will in fact be back out there next year to hunt with Tim again.

Amazing hunting experience and great guide service! I could not ask for a better hunt.

Great hunt with an honest hard working outfitter!Saw bucks most sits and would not hesitate to go back!

Tim is the hardest working outfitter and you can see on instagram the caliber of white tails that he has on his leases. Can?t go wrong with Tim.

Thank you Steve for leaving a review! See ya again real soon and thanks for stopping by with your Boy in Harrisburg!

It?s like Tim says on his website....if you want the plush lodges and the filet mignons for dinner every night....then don?t book a hunt with Red Dog....but if you want someone who will work very hard to get you a buck you will be happy with, then Tim Clark is your man!!!! Took my best buck ever with Red dog in October of 2017!!!!Jon

Thank you! The countdown to the rut has begun, already looking forward to this Fall. Thanks again Jon!

Took money for services which were completely unrendered.
In the *** I booked a hunt for wild turkey with Red-dog outfitters. Said hunts were to occur in both states of *** and ***. Upon arrival in ***, I quickly learned that they were falsely advertising the accessibility to land. I had paid in full on my arrival for the *** 3 day hunt and also gave % deposit for the following 3 day *** hunt. It became apparent on day 1 in *** that they did not have access to land as originally stated, and that the proprietor there said we would drive "roads" to locate turkey on private property, and that is located, we would attempt to gain access/permission from the landowners for land access permission. I stated to the proprietor that I paid good money for what I was lead to believe a hunting experience on their land access's, and I ultimately left on day 2. Fearing the same result in the 2nd state, ***, I elected to not pursue my endeavors any further with reddog. I returned home in a day and a half of my 3 day hunt in , never went to ***, and they took monies for the full *** hunt and % for the *** hunt which I never attended. The owner of RedDog never spoke with me about my concerns of being deceived, before, during or after.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $*** for downpayment of a hunt that never transpired or a similiar restitution.

Subject: Re: Case #*** John ***

John *** had booked a hunt, a deeply discounted hunt with his party's leader ***. *** had worked a deal out with *** who is a contractor at Red Dog. John did arrive late for his hunt but was put in a blind by *** on the first night. He was then found walking back to the lodge that night during hunting hours and I remember him having issues with the terrain; it didn't look like turkey country to him. Despite taking him hunting again he decided to leave early after paying only part of what was a *** dollar two state hunt. We had cut a deal for the TV show which never transpired. Then there was a bigger misunderstanding with the group which red dog absorbed financially and let the hunters finish with only the the fraction they paid.

Further, this hunters friends did all see and shoot turkey. The only one that didn't left early, John. We have never driven "roads" to then later gain access as an outfitter. I've Outfitted hundreds of hunts in my career and have never once mislead someone. I also never heard from John and was told the land wasn't suitable. Given that he had not paid in full and was already gone I believe I left a message for him in attempt to get him back and finish this hunt as planned. My refund policy is stated on my Website. If a customer cancels they're not due any refund. If they hunt one time they owe the full amount because contrary to Johns description we are a national leader in success, just search me. Some hunters tag out the first sit, there are hundreds of examples of successful hunters on my website and social media. Going into my 10th season, this is the only formal complaint I've received. John never contacted me for any reason, before, during or after. His own friend *** will be Happy to testify against John and these claims. What I've just read has never happened at Red Dog, and further explains why we do not deal with "TV Shows" any longer. This was actually a hunt that was worked out with My guide before he started working for me. I did accept the job to help him and put my name on it, I still back my decision to do so. I do not feel it's my fault that this man left. He got to hunt and if he had actually spent the time afield that his friends did he would have probably gotten Turkey, as they did.

This Hunter could use his deposit for next year on another hunt. Being that I have lost money, I've held up my end of the deal, I'm being lied about and I have my refund policy posted I am not refunding any money. Offering to let him come back and try again goes against my grain but I'll do it for him one time, but the promotional hunt is over. *** is a credit I'll carry over, it's his responsibly to pay the balance. He could even sell his deposit to someone else, there are thousands of people that follow me. Hundreds that do, have, or are planning to hunt with me out to ***.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr *** of reddog outfitters is completely deceitful in his equally unacceptable response.

When I arrived to his contract hunt in *** I was immediately taken to a half acre of woods. In the middle of this small patch of woods was an old cattle pond. Surrounding this small patch of woods was as far as the eye can see in all directions nothing but barren, open land. ***, contractor for reddog, told me that maybe a turkey will arrive at sundown to roost in this small patch. Sundown came, one could see for miles no turkey's were approaching, and nightfall came. I waited on the road to be picked up. After 15 mins waiting in the dark, and able to see for miles that no vehicles were approaching, I decided to start walking back the 3 miles to my sleeping quarters. Halfway there, a full 30 mins of walking, *** eventually drove up and picked me up.

The next morning fellow hunter *** and myself went to the another area of land that contractor ***, working for *** and reddog outfitters, had "access" to. This "access" land for turkey hunting was approximately 1 acre, yes, 1 acre of woods....also surrounded by far expanses of open, barren land. At this point *** and myself began to realize that this was anything but places to "hunt" turkey. This outfitter had only 1 other spot to try to at least see a turkey, not alone shoot one, and this also was nothing but an acre of woods surrounded by miles of open land.

*** and myself discussed how we were told that we would have "access" of thousands of acres of land, (ideal for turkey hunting), but not when those "thousands" are barren, open land, and in reality relegated to a mere 3 acres of actual turkey hunting land. That afternoon, when *** and I returned back to the lodge, after failing to see or hear a single turkey, we decided to have a conversation with *** from reddog regarding the unacceptable conditions.

*** response and solution was that we would all get in his, *** truck, and "drive roads" to visually locate turkeys. Once located, *** said he would attempt to gain access to the land by knocking on the doors and get permission. To this I responded that that is totally unacceptable behavior for an outfitter, and the way to conduct business when in fact before arrival we are led to believe we would have access to thousands of private, reddog outfitter leased, prime turkey hunting habitat. It was a total and complete untruth.

At this point I advised *** that this was totally unacceptable and *** then contacted ***, in , from reddog outfitter. *** response was that I needed to write him a check for $*** for the rest of the hunt, and that I could come back in the future for the rest of the 3 day hunt. I advised *** that why on earth would I return to hunt for 2 days a 1 acre patch of woods, barely suitable to hunt deer not alone turkey. I wrote the check to reddog, which I have on file, and left. At the same time that I was leaving, ***, who had not shot a turkey, and his two friends, were leaving in *** truck to "drive roads" in hopes of locating turkeys on land outside of reddog outfitters prevue or lease. *** will attest to all of this.

Now on the issue of a "TV show filming". I have no idea what this is about. Where this comes from, and what it even means. If *** had made arrangements for a TV show, that's unbeknownst to me and I find that hard to believe.....something I have no knowledge of and did not hear of this until now, from reddog. But this is all completely irrelevant to the matter at hand. What is relevant is the deception and misrepresentation of the business and practices of Reddog Outfitters...with respect to their booking of turkey hunts.

I have pursued the enjoyment of turkey hunting for 35 years, across this entire country and in ***, and I can assure you I have never, ever, had such an awful hunting experience as I did with Reddog Outfitters...exacerbated with the level of untruths regarding what they advertise they can offer, and what they actually in fact can produce.

On the issue of others in our party that "shot" turkeys. Yes, that very first day that I had to walk halfway home in the dark, *** 2 friends, whom I do not know, did shoot turkeys, One individual in one acre patch of woods, the other in the one other available patch of woods. Now any experienced hunter will tell you that once you have invaded such a small tract of land, the chances of turkeys returning to that same spot in the near future, is highly unlikely and completely improbable, as it was in this case. In short, the completely inadequate access to habitat resulted in two birds being taken the first day, and none after. Four hunters, allowed a total of 8 turkey's....never saw or heard another bird after the taking of those first 2 birds.

Reddog Outfitters took my money for a 3 day hunt in *** where I only hunted 1 day. Reddog Outfitters additionally kept my deposit on another 3 day hunt which I was suppose to do after , in ***. After experiencing such an awful hunt in , I could not in any self respect continue with Reddog yet in another state. I can understand, barely and somewhat, of the loosing of the deposit of the second, *** hunt, but barely. In light of the experience in *** they could hardly expect 1 to give even further monies to a business that has already duped them out of hundreds of dollars.

I am demanding a refund of $*** for the *** lies of a hunt. For Reddog Outfitters to do nothing but offer me to come back there, and spend more money on another completely inadequate, ruse of a hunt, is totally unacceptable. And even more laughable is Reddog Outfitter suggest I "sell" my hunt to another. I am sure Revdex.com and any other who would plan on booking with REDDOG OUTFITTER would find this response, again, utterly laughable, in that I do have a conscience. As such I could never attempt, in good conscience, to sell REDDOG'S product....equally, I could never in good conscience, return to experience more personal hurt and embarrassment as I experienced with REDDOG OUTFITTER.

REDDOG OUTFITTERS took my money in an unfaithful manner. Leading me to believe I was putting hundreds of dollars down on a quality, 6 day hunt, which turned out to be 1 day of misery and a nightmare, when I realized I had been taken by REDDOG and their tactics and business practices.

Customer Response • Mar 26, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Well well.....Mr. wants "proof" of monies paid. He knows full well that a deposit must be maid months in advance for all hunters, and that upon arrival cash must be rendered for the remainder. That evening on my arrival in *** I gave to REDDOGS guide, ***, cash, in the sum of $***.....so *** required proof lies with his employee and he knows this. Furthermore, Mr *** knows full well that ***, the main contact for REDDOG for our hunting party, had submitted the required deposit for all of us to *** and REDDOG....which I had also taken care of in cash to *** on my arrival in . I can prove a $1000,00. cash withdrawl just days upon my arrival in ...my obligation to ***, to ***, REDDOGS "guide" and the $*** check to Mr. is $***....for again, 3 hours of a hunt.

That is the facts, *** knows this.....and for him to suggest that this has been a "slander" I suggest he reviews the law's criteria of such a baseless claim. His guide ***, 3 others in the party, and myself will all testify, under oath, to all that has been submitted here in the past months.

So....Mr *** desires "proof"....knowing full well that cash was rendered to HIS employee in , as every outfitter demands...is laughable. My error in not demanding a receipt from ***, of REDDOG. But no one expects this treatment.

So....Mr *** must face the reality that his charades on this event must come to a conclusion: either by restitution of $***......or by way of this accompanied hunt by Mr.....he knows full well of the cash payment and the booking by ***. Only Mr. can regain a REDDOG reputable reputation.

Subject: Re: Revdex.com Complaint # *** - John ***

I'll honor the hunt but guided by me personally at my expense. I'm not letting John go it alone because I have a feeling he will sell himself on it being whatever he thinks at the moment and we will be right back here. *** or ***. Please prove what you paid in addition to the *** that you claim you paid, leave confrontation at the door and let me put these birds in your lap for you. Here's the deal, shoot your birds and move along after sending the Revdex.com a note proving that I do deliver on my promises even after an unnecessary fiasco like this or if I cannot get your birds in 2.5 days I'll refund the *** dollars that you wanted from the get go. To reiterate;

Proof of over a thousand paid to red dog
Schedule a time to redo in either stare (subject to scheduling in either state in ***)
Must agree to go with me so I can ensure that we properly hunt to avoid any further slander.

I feel that I can place our differences aside so long as John does but this will not be a recurring hunt no matter how much john wants to come back. We will hunt and not discuss this. If and when he kills his second bird his hunt is over and he's free to go.

John only hunted one spot; a spot that was scouted properly from our end. I know he thinks it was a joke but he didn't hunt any other spots because he left early, it was impossible. Further he didn't even hunt the blind he was given. I'm simply saving my reputation online by extending this hunt at my cost to prove that I am who I say I am. I'm not willing to let John just go hunt on his own because he already proved that he's not capable of that here at a red dog. Call and schedule john; let's get those birds and update this thread with some trophy pics. Otherwise he can sell this hunt to ***, his buddy who I'm sure will be happy to because he and Two other friends booked deer with me just before this complaint surfaced.

By far the most awesome experience I have ever had it was my first out of state trip and wouldn?t have wanted to do it with anyone else. Tim put us on deer everyday. I had to overcome adversity in my end but Tim kept faith in me and we got it done we put two really great bucks on the ground in less than 4 full days. My dad killed a 12 point whitetail and I got my 2x2 mule deer. I highly recommend Red Dog Outfitters Tim has great deer, great properties to hunt on and is a great guy all around.

+1

First of all Tim *** of Red Dog is the most genuine guide I have ever hunted with. He puts you where the deer are. He wants you to be happy with your hunt and successful. When the weather was hot anftthe deer weren?t moving and we were feeling suicidal he talked off the ledge figuratively kept us positive. He always was in touch when needed. When I finally shot the biggest buck of my life I couldn?t tell if he was happier than me. He showed up in his truck videotaping me , posing me and my buck for a ton of pictures. It was like he became my hunting partner instantly. This is my second year hunting at red dog.. although it?s a hell of a long drive from Massachusetts.... I?ll keep coming back. The potential at all of Tim?s many properties is there for quality bucks and a great experience. Thanks Tim and his awesome wife Patty. They work very hard to great opportunities for the average guy to experience something special. It?s hunting!!!!!!!

This was my first whitetail hunt and it did not disappoint. I saw more deer than I care to share. Tim (Owner/Guide) of Red Dog Outfitters was nothing but class and knowledge. He went above and beyond before, during and after the hunt. I had such a great experience, my self, Father, and Brother have already booked our hunt back with Red Dog Outfitters for next year!

Thank you Robert. If you ever need a reference to get into an outfitter or personal let me know. It was a pleasure hunting with you and getting to know you. Hopefully we get a good UFC fight in soon, if not season will be here before we know it. Thanks again!

Owner Tim *** knows deer inside and out, has quality land, and works very hard for his clients. I not only recommend him highly, I've never heard a bad word about him!

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 11, 2018

Thank you Scott! I appreciate you taking the time and looking forward to seeing what you get this Fall!

I have hunted with tim twice now each time beating my previous harvest. Both trips were filled with lots of activity, both whitetail and mule deer. Not only have I done well while in camp but others too. I have seen personal best harvested by other hunters while in camp. It's a great atmosphere in kansas. If your a semi guided, full guided, sit all day or come in at lunch time type of hunter, tim can take care of you. Give tim a call, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you Travis. I saw a big old nasty buck with a huge scar behind the cabin yesterday. See ya soon!

The Best whitetail hunt out there. 100% attention to detail. There are quality deer there. It is Amazing how many deer above 160 are out there. Red Dog Outfitters always finds them.

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 05, 2018

Thank you Scott! Your 2012 harvest is still one of my favorites although you really outdid yourself this past year.

I've hunted with Tim and Red Dog 3 times and it has been the time of my life every time! Excellent location more than enough deer and turkey to see plenty of stands to sit and Tim is probably the most REAL person you will ever find. Red Dog Outfitters is the only outfitters I would recommend to my friends

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 05, 2018

Awesome review, thank you Brian! I can't wait for our hunt this Fall.

Couldn't have ask for a better Turkey hunting experience. I've never seen so many birds!! Tim tried his tail off every day to put us on birds. A true class act.

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 05, 2018

Thank you Cory. I hope to see you here again, just no blizzard next time.

Tim is a great honest guide. Every time we've been out hunting with us, he's always there when you need him, and is willing to do anything to help you be successful in the field

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 05, 2018

Thanks Jed! Send pics when you get that Deer finished.

Where do I even begin because honestly the first word that comes to mind is "Family". RedDog Outfitters isn't just a hunting outfitter, it is much more than that. It's friendships, memories, laughs and unforgettable hunts. Tim and his wife made me feel like one of there own when I made my first turkey hunts in my life. The first afternoon I doubled up on two beautiful toms and that's where our lifelong friendship began. I went back this past deer season and shot my first buck with my bow and had such a great time I went back in late December for a muzzleloader hunt and shot one of the biggest bucks of my life and ended up seeing 72 deer in that one sir before I pulled the trigger on a stud 8 point. and I'm going back again in a few weeks to make another turkey hunt. If this doesn't make you want to hunt with Tim then you're really missing out. The cabin I stayed in was on a beautiful piece of property with some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen and the food is all made from scratch and tastes delicious! Honestly, in my opinion you won't find anyone like Tim who will go above and beyond to make your experience with him worth wild! Truly the best operation I've been lucky enough to experience. Family man, hunter and overall good person. That's who Tim and RedDog Outfitters is all about.

Red Dog Outfitters Response • May 05, 2018

Great property and easy to work with. Deffinately use them again.
