Red Mountain Funding, Inc. Reviews (31)

I've had several loans with company.

Each time they go over my paperwork and explain & answer any questions that I might have.

When my wife was sick and we were a bit behind, they set up a payment plan for me and we were able to get current.

They always say that if your a person of you word, then it makes it easier to work with you.

I will continue to do business with them and refer business as well.

Red Mountain Funding uses the law to scam people out of their money. They financed a car for us and we never received any paperwork on the car. Never got any responses from our emails or text to them. They repoed the car after just 13 days of being late with the payment. When asked what the payment was and the due date, we never got any response. After they took the car they would not let us remove our things from the car. They take advantage of people. We moved during the time we had the car and they say we never told them. That is not true. Along with one of my payments I told them what our new address was. They do not tell the truth. I'm sure there would be more complaints if people knew they could complain about this company.

Review: I am went to purchase a vehicle and saw that this place had on my credit report that I have an open vehicle loan with them? Which I do NOT have any vehicle from this place.Desired Settlement: I would like them to remove this false information from my credit report please.

Response:

We purchased the contract from [redacted] in October 2012 on a 2004 Ford F-150. The balance on the credit report is the outstanding balance still owed to Red Mountain Funding. If Ms [redacted] feels the amount is incorrect, she can contact our office and speak to the manager and try to resolve this issue.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This account was a voluntary repossession because of being laid off from my job at the time. The account shouldn't show as open as if I still own this vehicle as I do not it went back to the dealer. This should show as a repossession ONLY. Regards,

Business

Response:

We show that our records reflect that this is a "Voluntary Surrender". We report to the credit bureau by the 15th of each month. The record will be sent to the bureaus by 09/15/15 to reflect the correct status of Ms [redacted] account. I will have my manager follow up by 09/21/15 with the three credit bureaus. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope this will resolve the matter. If Ms [redacted] needs a letter from my office, please have her call [redacted] @ ###-###-####, ext [redacted].Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: This company is reporting to my credit falsely . It states that I opened two loans with this company and I only had 1 account open with them. On the unauthorized account they are continuing to report me as 180 days past due for the last 4 years . I my account that I did have with this company was closed over 4 years ago . I have contacted them and have not been able to resolve my issue due to rude costumer service or no contact from the creditor. My credit report shows them reporting me every month past due when any account I did have with them has been closed . This is a deliberate attempt to further damage my credit and make it impossible for me to finance anything .Desired Settlement: I want this fraudulent account removed from my credit report .

Comical to say the least. Lies, lies and more lies. The business tactics of Red Mountain and USA Auto should be investigated and believe me, they hit the wrong person this time because I wont stop and lie down for these shysters! They do lie. My contract was also "bought out" by this "company" which is nothing but a repo front for the "dealership" USA Auto. I was NEVER told it was changed to Red Mountain, never spoke to these people in my life. There is no communication between anyone here and then they think they have a reason to take your car. I wasn't even late!! They were never given the updated info OR PAYMENTS from the so called "dealer", then came to my work after calling everyone I know (most without leaving a single message) except ME! Get your facts straight because you do lie! This is the operation you do. You have no intentions on financing anyone. You are laundering peoples autos EVEN PAYING CUSTOMERS with the intent of doing nothing but that between you and USA Auto. We shall see you in court! You best hope you don't end up in my business...KARMA

Review: [redacted], manager of Red Mountain Funding, is the most unreasonable and unethical person in the industry. He violated the car loan terms of agreement and refused to take payments innumerable times--even if the payment was a day early. His intentions were to communicate solely about his own personal family problems ie that he had a son with 2 DUI's and that he had 6 children and had his own problems. He was unprofessional during every phone conversation and no one even wanted to hear about his personal challenges. He repossessed the car, and he deliberately sent up a way to not take the payment a day early. [redacted] is the worst of the worst in the consumer world, and he needs to be removed from the industry. He relayed to many people in the community info about my family problems and was unethical in his business practices. Even though he repossessed the vehicle, he still put a fine of approximately $2,000 on my credit report! What a pathetic example of an undiplomatic, unreasonable, unethical, and totally self-centered piece of humanity.Desired Settlement: $10,000

Business

Response:

Red Mountain Funding NEVER refuses payments from customers that pay on time.

This account was turned over to the [redacted] department and [redacted] was being pursued Under [redacted] §13-1813-1, §13-1813-1, §13-701 and §13-801 on 11/20/2013, failure to return vehicle.

The vehicle was repossessed on 03/25/14. The account was over 240 days past due. Vehicle was sold and there is a deficiency balance of $1884.91 that [redacted] is still liable for.

We will gladly allow [redacted] to make payment arrange on her balance & report it paid once the balance has been satisfied.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The response from Red Mountain is totally inaccurate! The manager, [redacted], set up a situation for failure on the part of the customer. Red Mountain manager would never take a payment early, in order to secure late payment fees for the vehicle. The vehicle was made available for Red Mountain to repossess in front of a specific residence, but the manager, [redacted], wanted to rack up late fees and allow his ego to get in the way of working with clients. The $1800. plus in late fees came from where?????? Ths is truly the worst company to deal with for auto financing and [redacted] needs to remove these fees immediately.

Regards,

Business

Response:

[redacted] vehicle was sold on 03/25/14 for $6750.00. Her principle balance at the time was $7884.91. We paid a Repossession fee of -$350.00, a Skip Tracer -$275.00 & we had the car detailed for -$125.00. This leaves $1884.91 principle still owing to our company.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Thank You

Review: Hello my name is [redacted]. I have been financing my car through. Red mountain funding sense March of 2012. Business

Response:

Let me begin by saying that ** does not use his personal cell to text anyone. What our company uses is a computerized text service.

If an account goes past due and/or a commitment has been broken, we automatically send a text or we call by phone.

We make every effort possible to have our clients contact us in order to avoid a "Home Visit". "Home Visits" are NOT a repossession. They are used to resolve the account when our clients fail to

contact our office.

When Ms. [redacted] did finally pay, she was short a couple dollars and has not been contact as of today.

Review: As of December 3rd, of 2012, I went to purchase an advertised vehcile at the end of the day. The vehicle was a [redacted] truck. Truck was test drove, tested and no apparent malfunctions were seen at the time. Sales guys were pushy as was end of the day and I did sign the agreements and left with the truck. As of next early morning at 6am less than 8 hrs of buying this vehicle, I turned the vehicle on and all the lights came on on the dashboard regarding faulty issues. I did go to auto zone to diagnose these issues and the gentlman said so many codes ahd come up that the truck was sold to me after they had removed these lights. Had over thousand dollars woprth of issues. I called the dealership by 8 am and they were very rude to me with absolutely no help. so I called the loan company and the loan was not processed yet, so I inforned them of the issue and they said the loan will not be processed if I take the truck back before 24hrs mark. so I did anbd I did let [redacted] I was bringing truck back. I towed the truck back and let the loan company I did and everything was going to be fine. as of Sept 22nd, 2014 I am repairing my credit and I see a loan from red mountain funding that paid [redacted] the total amount for truck and have been late payments on my credit from the next day I returned truck. $671.00 a month for over 2 years was being sent to all credit agencies. they did not get the loan from the company I agreed to and signed the forms for, so they went to red mountain funding as I can see and got the money without my approval , got pauid for truck, and had the truck on premises. this is not right as they provided false information, as I am gathering a lawsuit as of 30 days from this date if nothing is resloved. I am giving them a chance to fix this issue as this is a crimial act in my eyes and should not take advantage of anyone else.Desired Settlement: I want this company to fix my credit issue that was reported to all 3 agencies for over 2 years and resolve this asap as I will proceed with legal issues as proof of everything is here. my credit report is reported as fraud for this matter as I do not even have this vehicle and a false loan was given. I need my credit fixed and this out of my name.

Review: This goes hand and hand with My Nissan Of Corona Ca

In September of 2010 I went in and told the sales person I had about 2000 down. We went to look at a nissan Sentra. Test drove it and like it. So we sat down did the paperwork and then they said, well instead of a personal check can you bring a certified check while we work finance. I said sure why not. So I signed paperwork but never took delivery of the car, we were waiting on a certified check. Because of the nature of work I do I was not abe to get to the bank until two days later. I figured car will still be there, So I go back and fiance manager says you need more down like 1600 more. I said I couldnt do it. Mind you I never took possession of the car. I brought a used truck that did me well for quite a few years and then I moved to a city with a great commute transit system. So fast foward five years and I am looking to purchase a vehicle. Imagine my surprised that I have a loan through red mountain funding for a vehicle purchased September 2010 a loan for 2 years at 850 a MONTH!! and it was deliquent. They somehow pushed this bogus loan through on a car I never took possesion of and now Im fighting it tooth and nail. Buyer be ware if you run your credit here make sure you check it again if you dont purchase from them because you may be in my situation. A 850 deliquent loan and no car to ever show for it. I drove it once for a test drive.Desired Settlement: Get whatever needs to be done together to show I didnt take possesion of car so hence no loan should be out and deliquent and fix this on my credit so I can purchase a car

Business

Response:

This is a balance that is still owed on a purchase made in Mesa, AZ.The account should show as a Write-off and we no longer have an interest in pursuing balance.

Consumer

Response:

It does not show as a write off. I am unable to get a car because of this. In fact it shows I have a car and I do not have a car. Thats what a dealer told me Saturday, oe who apparently knows the owner. You guys did that loan under false pretenses, I am contacting an attorney

Business

Response:

I apologize for any misunderstandings. If Ms. [redacted] would contact my office and speak to the general manger, AL V[redacted] he will help her get this resolved with a deletion letter.[redacted] & ask for extension 103.Again, I apologizes for the mis understanding and would like to resolve this ASAP.

Review: I contacted Red Mountain on January 28th and I told them that I had lost my job, and that I couldn't make a payment. I couldn't pay for my insurance last week because I had lost my job. When I called them they said that they had to charge me 100 per week for not having insurance on top of the car payment. I thought that was ridiculous, they wouldn't even work with me, I was telling them that I was laid off, they screw people over, because they even threatened to take the car away, I've paid over 2 years now, and I only have about another year to pay, and they won't work with you. Some of the employees are also very rude. I did read the contract and it's written in the back that they replace the insurance if I can't, I think they should be work with people, but they just wouldn't.Desired Settlement: To work with me if I'm unemployed and have not found a job, to give me at least a month to make the payment.

Business

Response:

We are sorry that Ms [redacted] was laid off, but per her Motor vehicle Contract, she is required to keep Full-Coverage Insurance on the vehicle at all time.Forced-Placed Coverage is the only way a finance company can protect their collateral if the insurance is expired or cancelled. The cost of these type of coverage are very high because it is considered "High Risk". Sincerely,

I had a car loan with Red Mountain Funding for 3yrs and I have absolutely no complaints or regrets, the trick is, PAY YOUR LOAN. If you can manage to pay your bills on time without problems, life will be much easier. This company was always friendly to me, I always received a receipt as well as an amortization table for my payments, Once my payment term was complete I promptly received my title. Nothing but good experiences with Red Mountain Funding. Bad reviews are from people that cant pay their loans
