I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I am not satisfied with the resolution to this situation because first of all they are telling lies about how this happened! I was not being a BULLY, I just informed them that I would report them to the Revdex.com because they were taking our money and they did nothing to try to get us the dates we wanted. They were the BULLY! I am a senior citizen but I don't back down when I feel someone or a company is trying to take our money that don't deserve it and these people do not deserve a DIME of our money because they NEVER sent us THREE request forms to fill out, they are liers!
We only received ONE request form which I filled out according to the dates we could travel but they were unable to get these dates and told us to send in three different dates in which to travel and I told them I sent in the dates that WE could travel and that my husband could travel because of his job! They said they would send me another form to fill out and to call them and they would help me fill out the request form but, I did not need any help I had already given them the dates WE could travel,
they were unable to secure a HOTEL for us on the dates WE wanted so why should we travel when they want us to travel? We got so frustrated with the whole situation about the money they were to keep and them not having anything for the dates we wanted and not being able to travel either just before a holiday or right after a holiday made it impossible to use this voucher so we requested our money back because we didn't feel it necessary to cause further frustrationThey informed us that we would get $back from the $136. plus the $processing fees for which we feel was unnecessary since they are there working anyhow and this is part of their job at the redemption center, and they NEVER sent us THREE request forms to file, they are lying through their teeth. They want to make us look bad but, they are the ones who are looking badSTAY CLEAR OF THE REDEMPTION CENTER! Nothing but money grabbers!

To whom it may concern; In their latest Revdex.com response, the consumer states that,"I provided three destinations and dates as required in the Terhs (sic) and Conditions."
Unfortunately,
this is not the case The consumer did indeed submit a signed
reservation form, but the claim that they provided "three destinations
and dates as required in the Terms and Conditions" is incorrect As you
will see from Appendix A ( a copy of the reservation form the consumer
submitted ) they only provided one destination ( Lake Tahoe, CA)
Perhaps the consumer MEANT to list Lake Tahoe in Destination Choice
and Destination Choice 3; however, as you will see from Appendix A, they
did not Since we are a fully licensed travel agency, we are legally
responsible to process complete reservation forms when booking travel
We cannot make assumptions for the consumerThis is a legal
obligation, and not a private company policy we're choosing to enforce
As you will see from Appendix A, the consumer did not complete the form
with three destinations Also, the consumer did not submit an
alternate destination as required in the Terms and Conditions We were
simply unable to process the form as is.
We
provide complete customer service for consumers using our travel
offersIf a consumer has questions on concerns, they are free to
contact us directly at our toll free number, as well as use the "Contact
Us" feature located on our redemption website We guarantee a response
within one business day
The consumer also states in their Revdex.com response that, " They expected me to pay an additional $to reinstate the form I submittedTo me this is a company out for your money."
As
part of our contract with the hotels and resorts we partner with, once
the deadline for properly submitting the reservation form has passed, we
are required by contract to charge an additional $to extend the
offer This is part of our contract and is non-negotiable Not to
belabor a point, but if the consumer had submitted the reservation form
earlier, and not submitted it two days before the expiration date, we
could have addressed the mistakes in their reservation form much sooner
and been able to assist them with submitting a new reservation form As
it is, we did not receive the reservation form in an adequate amount of
time to work with the consumer in completing a new reservation form

It appears that the complain is directed to *** ** *** ***. We are not in any way affiliated with *** so we ask that you redirect the complain to the appropriate party. We ask that the Revdex.com does not put this complain on our record as it was misdirected. Thank
you

This complaint is NOT against *** *** *** ***, it is against The Redemption Center! THE REDEMPTION CENTER IS THE ONE THAT GOT OUR MONEY AND WON'T RETURN IT AND OUT OF THE $136. PLUS $PROCESSING FEE, THEY WNAT TO RETURN TO US $CROOKS!

We would like to apologize to this customer that he is unhappy with our processes. Everything was stated to him on our redemption website BEFORE he redeemed his certificate. If he did not agree to our processes, maybe he should not have redeemed the certificate. This customer has
not paid any fees to redeem the certificate, therefore is not forced to take advantage of the certificate. Again, we are sorry that the customer is not happy with our processes. This is not a retail travel package but a discounted travel voucher which would save the customer anywhere from 70-90% off the retail rate. We have cancelled the redemption null void

In the complaint
issued, the traveler states that,” This exchange left us feeling very
disappointed
and cheated since after donating a car, paying their processing
fees and waiting a significant amount of time we ended up with nothing.”
It is important to
understand what WE do and who WE are.
The Redemption Center provides discounted travel certificates,
restaurant certificates and other coupons to thousands of businesses in the USA
and Canada. These businesses remarket
the certificates as a promotional incentive gift to their customers to motivate
purchases as well as customer loyalty We are in no way affiliated with the business
that gifted the traveler with our travel certificate
As The Redemption
Center states on the FAQ section of our website,”
The reason why we are able to do this is because hotels and resorts rarely
experience full occupancy yet they are always open and still have their fixed
costsSo what they do is contract with companies like us to give these rooms
out to get people to come in to see what they have to offer.” (Appendix A)
Although
our certificates offer a 60-90% savings on travel, because we book unused
hotel/resort rooms, all of our bookings are based on availabilityThat means
there is no way we can 100% guarantee that we will be able to book the
traveler’s requested dates.
As we also state
on the FAQ on our redemption site,”Since you are
required to give the travel agency three different travel dates and multiple
destinations in most cases we do not suggest that you use this for a special
date committed engagementIt is helpful if you are aware that you will need to
be flexible to give you the best possible experience.” Once again, because we are filling unused
hotel and resort rooms, we cannot 100% guarantee we will get the first date and
therefore we request three separate dates.
If we cannot get the first date, we will proceed to search for the
second date and so on
If
we are unable to fulfill any of the three requested dates, we offer the traveler
a full refund of their fees, taxes and deposit.
In the case of this traveler, we were unable to fulfill any of the three
dates they requested The traveler was
refunded the full amount of money they initially submitted ($116, Check #3585)
The
traveler also states in their complaint that,” Registering for the hotel stay was difficult and confusing
and required a non-refundable processing fee and a significant deposit to allow
double occupancy on a weekend.”
As you will see from Appendix B, a copy of the Night Hotel
offer the traveler redeemed, it clearly states, “In order to guarantee that you will show
up to your booked reservation you will be required to pay a REFUNDABLE $
“Reservation Guarantee Deposit.” The
certificate also states,” Friday and Saturday nights will require a surcharge
of $per night.”
The traveler was
made fully aware of these terms and conditions multiple times before redeeming
their certificate, because not only are the terms and conditions listed on the
actual travel certificate. The
Redemption Center provides a “Details” tab on our fulfillment site that details
the full terms and conditions for the fees involved with this offer (Appendix
C).
If the traveler
likes what they see they can go ahead and click “Redeem Now” and fill out all
purchasing information (Appendix D). As
you can see, after filling out all of the purchasing information, you have to
click a box that states, “I agree to the terms and conditions stated
below.” And then right below all of the
Terms and Conditions are listed again, which is the 3rd time this traveler
would have seen our Terms and Conditions
As was previously
stated, if we are unable to fulfill any of the
three requested dates, we completely refund the traveler their fees, taxes and
deposit. We also offer with that refund
a $Dining Certificate (Appendix E) as well as an added gesture of good
customer service. We issued this
traveler a $Dining Certificates as compliments for doing business with
us. The traveler reviewed the terms and
conditions for the certificate and chose to redeem the offer.
The traveler
states in their complaint that,” The value of the club membership itself was
questionableThe club provides a $coupon every month for a year for a very
limited selection of local restaurants; mostly bars and hole-in-the-wall
sandwich shopsAt least $had to be spent to redeem a coupon, which would be
difficult to do for two diners at most of these establishments.”
The Redemption
Center has partnered with Restaurant.com, a well-established company and the nation’s largest
dining deals site. Restaurant.com has
partnered with over 15,restaurants nationwide and offers diners an
extensive list of restaurants to choose from
The terms and conditions for the $Dining Certificate state that,”… you will receive a $Restaurant
Certificate every month for the next months as long as you log in to your
Dining Savers Club account area.” If a
person were to purchase a $Restaurant Certificate directly through Restaurant.com,
the price per certificate would be $10.
As you can see from the terms and conditions for the $Dining Certificate,
the one-time processing fee is only $The savings is immediately
apparent
The traveler opted
not to continue with this dining offer and as they stated in their
complaint,”…we requested and received cancellation of the club membership and a
refund of the meal-club processing fee.”
The Redemption Center immediately processed their request and refunded
the $processing fee
It is unfortunate
that The Redemption Center was unable to book the traveler’s requested dates;
however, it is made clear that these bookings are based solely upon
availability, and in no way can we 100% guarantee we will be able to book the
travel. The Redemption Center
apologizes once again to the traveler and has already refunded any monies they
paid us.
Redemption Center

To whom it may concern:
On 8/30/2014,
the customer submitting this Revdex.com complaint redeemed the Night Hotel certificate they had received as part of a promotional offer Once a customer redeems a certificate and pays the one-time processing fee of $14.95, they have a full six months to submit the reservation form with the appropriate fees and taxes as outlined in the reservation form that the customer signed acknowledging and agreeing to We have this signed form on file as well
The customer states in the Revdex.com complaint that,"I sent my reservation within the required time frame but received an email stating that my certificate had expired and they cannot process my reservation."
The reservation form was set to officially expire on 2/27/ The envelope with the reservation form and fees and taxes was postmarked on 2/25/ The customer fulfilled all of the reservation requirements in that regard; however, as it is clearly outlined in the online instructions and the terms and conditions on the actual reservation form, that again was signed by client, when completing the reservation form, we require three dates and three destinations Unfortunately, the customer in question submitted only ONE destination on their form, rendering their reservation form incompleteLet it be known that by the time we received the new fully completed reservation form, the expiration date had already passed It was too late to have the customer submit a new reservation form at that point If the customer had submitted the form earlier, and not waited until two days before it expired to submit it, we would have been able to work with the customer on getting a new reservation form completed correctlyWe strive to work with our customers and make sure they receive first-rate customer service
It is unfortunate that we were unable to accommodate the customer with their travel

Got a cruise certificate from a Diamond Resort time share presentation. Told that the cruise certificate was worth around $1100. Been to book and the price works out only slightly cheaper than booking it with Thomas Cook. Also told by Thomas Cook that they will match the price and I could get an extra 5% off using match IGH rewards card with MSC. Therefore the certificate is a waste of time using it on the cruise that I want.

The customer in question mailed us a reservation request form which said customer signed and dated, agreeing to the terms and conditions of the promotional travel offer.  the travel offer states that the "reservation guarantee deposit" is non refundable if the customer does not allow us to book...

A reservation for them after mailing a reservation request form to us for processing by our staff. On page 2, of the signed and dated, reservation request form states the following regarding submitting the required amount of arrival dates and destination choices as well as the non refundable deposit disclosure:reservation:  all reservations require a 30-day advance notice from the postmarked date printed on the envelope that you mail the reservation form in.  along with your reservation request form a $50 "reservation guarantee deposit" will be collected payable by check or money order.   if you send in your travel dates, etc and you do not end up traveling then the reservation guarantee deposit will not be refundable.  reservation request procedure:  you have 6 months from the date of redemption to request reservations.  please locate the “register by mail date:” printed on the 1st page of this reservation request form.  once we receive the reservation request form for processing we will contact you by email letting you know we have received your request and will start searching inventory.  reservation requests require a minimum of three (3) different arrival dates, 30 days apart.  all reservations require at least a 30 days advance notice from the date you mail your reservation request form to us.  if the postmark printed on your envelope is after the “register by mail date:” printed on the first page of this reservation request form, your reservation request will become null void.  we typically start searching inventory within 30 days of your requested arrival dates since this is when we have the most excess inventory available to us.  we will notify you no later than 21-14 days prior to one of your requested travel dates by phone, email or first class mail with a confirmation or status update.  if we do not have available inventory during any of your requested travel dates we will notify you by email offering you to resubmit your reservation request form for additional travel dates.  the redemption center reserves the right to place you in the vicinity within a 25-mile radius of your destination of choice.  by submitting your reservation request form you are authorizing us to book any one of your requests.   if you choose the same destination on all three (3) arrival dates you will be required to submit an alternate destination.  by submitting an alternate destination you have agreed to travel to either your primary destination or your alternate destination on any and all of your arrival date requests.Again, the customer has already signed and dated the reservation request form agreeing to these terms and conditions and now she says that she can only travel when she can travel.  while we understand that this promotional travel offer does not work for everyone, the customer did agree to allow us to book travel for her according to the terms and conditions she agreed to by signing and dating both pages 1 and 2 of the reservation request form.  since the customer has asked to cancel the reservation request before we could book something for her, she does forfeit the $50 deposit.  we would have booked a hotel stay for the customer if she would have followed the terms and conditions of the offer that she had already agreed to.  redemption center support

Refund is in mail on the way to customer.   We take very specific notes in regards to when we respond to a customer inquiry, make a phone call, etc.  We cannot even take a phone call without inputting the clients information and reason for the call/inquiry.  We also cannot access any customer data without putting a reason of why we are accessing customer data.  We do have record of phone calls and every inquiry that customer has sent to us, was indeed answered.  It could be possible that the email was overlooked by customer and could even have been sent to the spam/trash folder out of our control.  Nevertheless, the refund has been mailed.  Since the customer did not allow us to book a reservation for her and she cancelled out early, customer forfeits her reservation guarantee deposit.  Therefore, only receiving a partial refund.  We have a copy of the reservation request form signed by customer on file.  She signed and dated both pages of the reservation request form.  Term and condition under Reservation clause on reservation request form:"If you send in your travel dates and you do not end up traveling then the reservation guarantee deposit will not be refundable."

Redemption Center                                     ... 7918 El Cajon Blvd N #334                                      ... La Mesa  CA  91942      Revdex.com of San Diego ID # [redacted]                                         ... September 22, 2016   To whom it may concern;      FunRewardsForYou.com provides discounted travel certificates, restaurant certificates and other coupons to thousands of businesses in the USA and Canada.   These businesses remarket the certificates as a promotional incentive gift to their customers to motivate purchases as well as customer loyalty. This customer received a 3 Night Hotel certificate from one of our members. The customer redeemed the certificate on 8/31/2016, by paying the minimal one-time processing fee of $15.95.  Once the customer redeems this certificate, the customer then has 6 months to submit the completed reservation form with the appropriate fees and taxes associated. The customer states in their complaint,” When I received the reservation Request Form it stated the only hotels are Comfort Inn, Howard Johnson & Ramada & Best Western comparable as assigned.” In order to “under-promise and over-deliver,” Fun Rewards For You states the MINIMAL accommodations available to the traveler on the reservation form. While establishments such as Comfort Inn, Best Western and Ramada are listed on the reservation form, Fun Rewards For You is contracted with thousands of hotels and resorts across the U.S.   These hotels can range from the Comfort Inn, to the Ramada, to other chains such as the Hyatt, Hilton, or Marriott hotels. We always aim for the optimal accommodations available when the actual booking occurs. As stated right on our redemption website to the customer even before they redeem online is:We cannot promise you a specific brand of hotel since all of our inventory is based upon availability and we do not know which hotels we will have available at the time we start to search our inventory for your requested travel dates and destinations. Keep in mind that we will not work with any properties that have less than a 3 star rating by other travelers on www.tripadvisor.com. This is a website where actual travelers go onto to put their reviews of hotels and resorts they have stayed at.   On 9/7/2016, the customer contacted our Customer Service department to inquire about the accommodations that would be available in their desired destination. In an effort to provide solid customer service, the Customer Service Agent reviewed some of the hotel choices offered through our travel certificate, in the customer’s desired destination but also told them that these are just examples of where we book but his hotel could be any one of these and even another not named hotel.  He doesn’t have the choice under this specific special discount vacation certificate according to the terms and conditions he agreed to initially when he redeemed the certificate. As a gesture of good customer service, we have refunded the one-time processing fee of $15.95 to this customer.  That credit will show up in their bank account within the next 4-5 business days. Sincerely, Shane Higgins President and CEO
