Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to provide clarification.  We have been in contact with this customer for the last couple of weeks.  The customer registered her cat as an Emotional Support Animal in accordance with the HUD Federal Fair Housing Act on January 23, 2015.  The...

registration was mailed to her on January 28, 2015.   The vest and safety kit was ordered separately on January 29, 2015 and was shipped to the customer on January 30, 2015.  We received a communications from this customer regarding her orders a couple of weeks ago.  Attached is copy of the original invoices that indicates she registered her cat as an Emotional Support Animal and not a Service Animal. The customer is confusing the ADA laws and the Fair Housing Act Laws.   Under the ADA, only dogs and miniature horses can be service animals.  The ADA does not have any jurisdiction over emotional support animals.   The Fair Housing Act is the federal law that covers emotional support animals which can be a cat, rabbit, dog, etc. We have explained this to the customer several times via email and over the phone.  The customer is quoting the ADA laws (ada.gov) when she should be quoting the Fair Housing Act (hud.gov).   The ADA and HUD (Fair Housing Act) are two separate federal agencies.   The customer states ADA service animals are not cats - that is correct as that is why we registered her cat as an Emotional Support Animal.  The customer ordered a vest, registration, and safety kit for her cat.  Attached are copies of the email correspondence regarding our attempt to explain the laws.  We do not refund custom products (registration ID cards) and the vest cannot be returned because we only allow exchanges / refunds within the first 90 days after purchase if the product has not used and still has the original tags attached.   Thank you,

There in NOTHING on there web site that says ADA don't see cats as ESA NOTHING that's what I told them when I emailed them as well and there not wanting to hear that! Like I told them the state I want to move back to I cant use anything I bought from them to take my cat that HELPS me with my illness in stores restaurants ETC like I can in Virginia for the moment until this gets out about the ADA. I am very angry I spent all that money and cant use anything I bought from this company.

I have been trying to call and email about my emotional support cat. I have severe postpartum and ptsd. Still no emails or mail with my registration. What a Scam! I want my money back! I knew I should have tried another company.

I have been working with the staff at Register my Service Animal for about seven years. The staff at this organization is competent and totally professional. The service is quick and competent.

I contacted the customer via phone to discuss the Emotional Support Animal registration and vest she purchased for her cat.  I explained the ADA does not have any jurisdiction over emotional support animals.  Emotional support animals are allowed in pet restricted housing and are allowed to travel on an airline for free.   All other access is by courtesy and not law for emotional support animals. Only dogs and miniature horses can be service animals.  I asked the customer what resolution she was looking for and she hung up on me.   I called her and left a voice message for her to call me so we can resolve this problem and I have not heard back from her.   The customer was registered correctly.  The customer believes her cat is a service animal but this is not allowed by federal law.  If the customer wants to return products in original condition we will refund her money.

I run a non-profit and needed to get our animals registered. Register My Service Animals was great and took care of all of our needs. The process was super efficient and the turn around time was immediate! Customer Service was immediately helpful.

This place is very understanding and very friendly. I would recomemend them highly . I have had a pleasant experance with them and if I need to register again I would do it with them. thank you to all the staff at register my service animal, llc.

I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and Anxiety. I have two cats that are brother and sister that play such a huge role in keeping me sane. Register My Service Animal, LLC has helped me be able to keep my babies as the new home I was moving too was insisting that I get rid of my animals and I had to assure them that the cats would not be a problem. I was having anxiety attacks and slipping further into depression as I didn't know what to do. If it was not for Register My Service Animal, LLC I would not have been able to keep my cats. I can not thank them enough! Quick service, I received my cats registrations, tags and ID cards in a matter of a couple of days. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Great service. Post office lost my vest. Called and they got me anotheer within 3 days and had my dogs name on it as well just like I ordered. Will be ordering more products again.

I wanted to take the time to thank Ann. I placed my order online, and noticed I had made an error with my ship to address. I called the business ( expecting to get voice mail) and was pleasantly surprised when I reached Ann. She quickly fixed my address, and then again, to my surprise told me that my order would still go out that day. I was moved! A friend of mine who has recently become displaced/ homeless has a service dog and papers, but needed a vest to be able to apply for an apartment. With Ann's help she is on her way to independent living once more. I can't say thank you enough for the quick response, and kindness she has shown. The vest arrived today and it brought my friend to tears. It is a rarity that businesses these days have that human interaction, and it has made all the difference. Thank you!

Review: Register My Service Animal, LLC is saying cats can be a legal ESA animal and I am just finding out I paid after spending a lot of money on the vest and papers that the ADA DOES NOT see them as a legal service ESA animals.Desired Settlement: I want my money back money back I paid $65 for her vest and $85 for the papers. There lying to people to make money. Below id the ADA's site to prove it.

Customer Service is amazing! I spoke with a gal named [redacted] who was pleasant, really friendly, and extremely patient and really took her time to listen to me and even helped to customize my order to personally fit my needs.
They go out of there way and I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to register their pet!
