We were unaware that this job had been cancelled. We never received any correspondence or communication from Ms***,And thought the job was on hold, not cancelled. We spoke to Ms*** and are sending her a full refund. She was very understanding, and all should be
well.We regret any inconvenience this may have caused her.And hope she holds no ill will toward us

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Although the company has apologized they seem to lay the blame for this mishap on miscommunication. In fact there was a great deal of communication, including a voicemail from *** *** saying he would return the deposit for the doors. Also there is the matter of the $that was given to the workers at Mr***'s request. Has he acknowledged that this occurred? The President of this company wants to just, it seems sweep this under the rug. Also we never told them that we had another contractor. In fact they sent about two emails, that I still have, stated that they would be sending *** to premeasure and that he would call. The next thing we heard from the very smug *** *** is that the second card they had gotten for us with $22,was canceled. Did they have it cancelled so that we could not go to another contractor? Regards,*** ***

In response the the complaint files by *** *** File ***
Rehab Associates did indeed install a new roof for Mr***During a roof installation there is always a lot of hammering and bangingMr*** claims that his old skylite shiftedWe sent our foreman
there and he showed that there were no roof leaks and we did advise Mr*** that we do not do interior work and some movement in a house is expected when you install a new roofThe issue can probably be resolved with a tube of caulking. We are going there tomorrow 5/19/to magnet up any loose nails that are on his property and clean up any additional issues, and we will try to resolve the skylite issue then
tooWe have been in contact with Mr*** today, and he is ok with our effortWe hope that after tomorrow, everything is A OK and we have another thoroughly satisfied customer

Mr*** first contacted us THIS year about a leak
His roof was installed in
We have no records of any messages left to the contrary
Again, We will be glad to see what the problem is at no cost, and provide Mr*** with a reasonable estimate, due
to the fact that he is a previous customer, and we want to resolve this complaint
However, This roof is years out of warrantee, which is in BOLD writing on his contract
And there have been hurricanes and many other weather related issues in the *** area in the past years
Again, if Mr*** is ok with it, I can send a roofer to his house and provide him with a reasonable estimate, for the repairs
But Mr*** did not purchase a service contract for repairing his roof for the life of his home
I hope Mr*** agrees to this, and we can fix his roof at COST, and we all can go forward

In order to satisfy our customer, we went back and swept up all nails and any other debris we could find.We are also going to schedule a time to try and seal his skylight, although the customer admits its not leaking, apparently it did shift during the roof installation, and we will work to resolve that issue too.Rehab Associates Prides itself on the quality of our workmanship and the relationship with our customers, and we are certain that we will leave this job with a happy satisfied customer.Sincerely,[redacted]PresidentRehab Associates Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as long as they do come out to do the sky light. It has been over a week since they cleaned up the nails and nothing has been done with the skylight. If they intend to come out then this is acceptable.

Mr. [redacted] purchased a new roof from us in July 2010
We offer only a one year warrantee on labor and sold Mr. [redacted] a roof using 30year material, and this is stated clearly in the contract.
Mr. [redacted] called us this spring for the first time to complain of a leak...

four years after the job was finished.
We advised Mr. [redacted] of his warrantee, and that there have been 2 Hurricanes since his roof was installed. Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene.
That we would be happy to fix it, but there would be a service charge. That the fee should be minimal since this is a relatively new roof, and he is a customer of ours.
He got nasty on the phone and didn't want to pay and hung up.
We haven't heard from him till now.
We will be happy to repair any damage to the roof , but the customer must pay for the service call.
Rehab Associates is proud of our record with the Revdex.com, and we do try to accommodate most reasonable requests.
If Mr. [redacted] wants, he can call us at [redacted] and we can set up an appointment for an estimate/repair.
I hope this is ok with Mr. [redacted], and we can both go forward satisfied.
Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

In 2015 we contracted with [redacted] to replace her roof. At the time she did not want us to replace the Yankee Gutters. Replacing them would have cost almost as much as her roof. But we did advise her that they would need to be replaced at some point. Our contract specifically states not to...

replace the Yankee Gutters. In January of 2017 she called us to say the roof is leaking near the gutters. We contracted with her to reline the old Yankee Gutters but after she signed the contract, she had a change of mind and cancelled. This past week she called and told us that we covered her old gutters and that is why it is leaking and that we should put a hole in the roofing to allow water to drain into the gutters. Without seeing what she is talking about we think this is a bad idea, because we believe the gutters are rotted and this would cause potentially a lot of damage to her house. We spoke to her this afternoon and we all agreed that our roofer will go and look at the problem, and that we will get her a price to fix it.Rehab Associates prides itself on doing A+ work, and we will treat our customer well and give her the best advise on what to do going forward.Sincerely,Rob B[redacted]President Rehab Associates Inc.

In response to this complaint. The customer agreed to a contract for siding, leaders and gutters for $22800 which we helped obtain financing. That job was done and completed to 100% satisfaction.Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] then wanted us to get them doors.Mr. [redacted] is not an expert on...

the type of doors the customers wanted and admittedly there was some confusion as to the type and price that the doors should be.Originally we charged the customer $1831 for doors that was a gross undercharge as the doors they wanted and insisted on approving were way more expensive. We sent our Door Contractor there to measure and he gave us samples which the customer picked out some that were out of stock. The customer eventually chose some very nice doors for a new contract of $4800.A small deposit was asked for as there was a building permit that needed to be taken out. and the doors were ordered. After three weeks, our supplier advised us that The [redacted] doors were accidentally sold to another contractor. We advised the [redacted]s, and they at this time were angry at all the delays, changes in prices, and told us to forget the whole thing, that they contracted with someone else. They told us that they were happy with the siding and would recommend us for that, but they were very unhappy with our salesman Mr. [redacted], and the whole door situation. We ended the conversation on good terms, and we thought this was the end of it.I am very sorry things didn't go better. There should have been better communication, and sometimes in Home Improvement, things don't always go 100% smooth.Since, the [redacted]s are asking only for an apology, then they certainly have it as we, at Rehab Associates Inc. Pride ourselves on quality work and repeat business from satisfied customers, and we are very sorry things didn't go more smooth. We hope in the future, that they would consider us again it they needed anything else. And I hope that they were satisfied with the doors that they purchased from another contractor.Sincerely,[redacted]PresidentRehab Associates Inc.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:they did not advise us about any possible damage to the inside prior to the job being done. What [redacted] did say after we complained about the space between skylight and wall was that normally people have their skylight replaced when the do their roof.  He never mentioned any thing about this prior to the contract and job being done. If this is normally done then [redacted] should have address this or at least mentioned this prior to contract and job being done.

In regards to this complaint. We did indeed to work for Mrs. [redacted], However the small area that she wanted us to do was NOT part of her contract. However, since it was a big job, we did say we would fix some interior trim for her free of charge, but that she needed to be there to make sure it was up...

to her specifications, and that she would be 100% satisfied, when we were done.We made several calls to her about 6 weeks ago to try to arrange a time when we could go, and she did not get back to us.We left her  3 messages, none of which were returned. We have not heard from her as of yet since that initial conversation, until this complaint. We pride ourselves on quality work and happy customers, so we are confused as to why she would complain. However, upon receiving this complaint today, we again called and left a message for her so we may satisfy her.As of now she hasn't called back.We will continue through next week to reach out to her, but we cannot do anything unless she calls us back.I'm sure once she does and we can get back into her house , she will be more than satisfied, as most of our customer are.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I called in my complaint before either of the hurricanes.. on top of that it was a year old so called brand new roof ... I wasn't even done paying off half of the 12000 I got charged , why would I pay to have it looked and fixed. Is this the kind of business you run . On top of that the sales person should not go around and tell me that the roof " unless a tree falls through it " would be covered. He represents your company and apparently your company lies to its customers. Even your response to my Revdex.com complaint is a lie.. I called before the hurricanes and got irate because I was being spoken to with an attitude. And it took a few calls to finally get a call back. I should not have to pay to get a roof repair that you just installed a year ago. Bad business. I'm a blogger too with over 6000 followers and I will let them know how rehab associates handles their customers. I would not recommend them to anyone. I have dealt with [redacted] and their work and customer service was excellent. They work at their a+ rating before during and after the work is complete.

Review: This company is the worst. They came to repair my roof... sales man talked me in to not just repairing the roof but getting a complete make over. Told me the roof would be covered for 30 years ... In his words anything happens to the roof we will repair it , you'll have a brand new roof and as long as a tree doesn't fall through it we will come and repair it . 1 year, just one year later the roof started to leak . After about 6 phone calls the very rude owner called me back. He wanted to charge me a service charge to come look at the damage and then charge me for any repairs made. I tries to explain what the sales man had told me me but he said that wasn't true only materials would covered by manufacturer for 30 years. I also tried to explain that this was a brand new roof and should not leak within a year . This is the type of work this place does and the level of customer service they give. No one helped me and now I'm left with pots to collect the leaks after every rain storm. I am still paying off this roof and the crappy work. I have only lived in this house 4 years. Because of this now I also have to fix a mold problem that is effecting my family.Desired Settlement: Come fix your crappy work.

Review: I had some remodeling work done by the rehab doctor which was supposedly done the end of December 2014 beginning January 2015. The work is not quite completed. I contacted the contractor [redacted] on several occasions and he always promised to stop by and finish the rest of the job. However he never showed up. I called the company main phone number and my call was transferred to the owner. I left a message and he called me back. As soon as I started to complain, he remembered me and stated "you spent a lot of money for your renovation and that he will send one of his workers to finish the job. It's been 2 months and I haven't heard or seen anyone. In the mean time. My side door which the entrance to the second floor is not presentable; the front door needs to be painted; part of the floor molding in my leaving room is not fixed. All of these were part of the contract which I have been paying the loan that I had taken to do the much needed renovation of my house. I just want these things completed as I requested and stated in the contract.Desired Settlement: Get the job completed

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not received any messages from the Rehab doctor. None of the work mentioned in the contract were supposed to be for free. It's all written in the contract and I expected the company to fulfill their end of the contract since I have been working hard to pay the bills. My home phone and cell number have remained unchanged; the company can reach me on either numbers to make an appointment to get the job done. I just want this to be over.

P. S. Your excuse is unbelievable and laughable. You expect for people to believe that your company would fix things in my house for free?

Business

Response:

We have contacted this customer and will fix the trim in her house that she is complaining about in an effort to put this issue to bed.For the record, this trim is not in the contract and was not part of her job, but she feels it is and should be and we are fixing it as a courtesy. We will be at her house tomorrow.
