After a little research, all these models of pioneer appear to have the same design flawThey require a memory chip to be replaced "IC851" and a change in a resistor "R792" 43ohms, for the memory chip clockBased on the service manual, the problem appears to be that pioneer used a memory chip (M12LXXXXXXXA-5TG2S) only works above 0C that is not "automotive grade" (M12LXXXXXXXA-5TVG2S) which would work above -40CPacparts sells the chip as "Pioneer M12LXXXXXXXA-5TG2S"

Car stereo head unit has been in for warranty service for weeks Supposed to receive replacement, but has not shipped
On Nov 1st, 2015, I purchased my car stereo (Pioneer *** from a Pioneer Authorized Dealer Since then, it has developed an issue with the Bluetooth functionality
On May 6th, 2016, I spoke to Pioneer Electronics about my problem, and they had me perform a factory reset They also informed me that if it did not correct the problem that I would need to take it to an authorized repair center for warranty service I performed the factory reset It corrected the problem for about a month, until the problem came back again, requiring me to take it in for repair
On July 15th, 2016, I took the unit to the Pioneer authorized repair center (European Hi-Tech in Torrance, CA) for warranty repair service The technician, with the help of a Pioneer Electronics engineer, diagnosed the problem to the Bluetooth Module The part was back-ordered by Pioneer Electro

Purchased a new Dcontroller in April Unit retailed for $ Manufacturer warranty is only a year warranty, however within months of very use, on Christmas evening, the power supply fails on the unit while working a job All I did was press play and the DJ controller shut down I had to get the unit serviced for over $for a faulty power supply by sending it to an authorized service center I also had to pay over $which I did not have an issue with It also appears others have had the same issue based on comments on the Pioneer DJ Support Forum Unit fails and then a red light flashes for the Wake Up button I do not believe a power supply for a $piece of equipment should fail in less than years under use for the device Pioneer would not even meet me half way or any way on the issue as it caused me a huge inconvenience

Pioneer Electronics has hands-down THE WORST customer service in the business
I have been reaching out to Pioneer for over two years now trying to see if they are going to resolve the ongoing, and well-know, systemic issues they have with the APP Radio products and software I purchased the Pioneer AppRadio SPHDAback in Jan Shortly after spending over $1,to install this Head unit I find it barely works as advertisedFor extended periods the radios is simply unusable for its designed purpose
Currently this radio simply does not work with the iOS apps on my phone, and after even just brief use it has become very clear that the product design is very unsafe to interface with as a car head unitThe radio requires human interaction for each of the several disclaimers you are required to read and acknowledge every time you try to use the radio
