I was charged $49.60 and didn't sign up for this please refund my money
I was charged for this and I want my refund and put it back in my bank. I didn't them permission to take any money out

They’ve been charging me and I wasn’t aware
I’m not sure who this company is but I did try to log on and retrieve my password it ended up being a 310-693 number. I stay in GA I do not have a California number have no reason to set a password with a CA number. I have no reason to pay for any of these services. I called customer service waited 15 minutes only to be given a survey asking how they did. I never spoke with a representative. Please refund my account. I’m not sure what your tied to in order to get my information but I did not use your service.

Dan was pleasant to work with and helped me resolve my issue with concise and expert knowledge. I am appreciative of the level of professional customer service he displayed.
I will definitely refer this company.

Y'all must work for company. Lol your username is d. Dennis.. lol I bet Dan was pleasant to work with. Your D. Probably stands for Dan right because it's you your talking about. The D. Should stand for dumb

Agent is very knowledgeable and helpful in fixing my problem and corrected everything within minutes.

I just found 2 companies on on bank account. I remember going through the trial and called the number in my email but never talked to anyone. I truly believe that this company and rent2own are the same. They charge same amount and take money out days apart. I would have never known if my account got overdrawn. Not from these companies but it helped me find these charges.

Thank you for notifying us of our customer’s complaint. Our understanding of the complaint is that our customer claims she did not authorize the $49.60 charge billed to her card and that she claims another company and Rentbeforeowning.com are one in the same companies. To summarize, our records show that on November 2, 2019, our customer visited our website Rentbeforeowning.com and successfully registered for a 7-day $1.00 trial membership with a recurring monthly billing amount of $49.60 until canceled. Registration is always required for a customer to receive our rent-to-own property listings. Our findings are that the customer did in-fact knowingly authorize the $49.60 charges by completing all the necessary steps to complete the registration and purchase process shown below. Regarding her allegations of use being the same company as the other company charging her are unsubstantiated. There are several rent to own companies and the difference between all of these companies is from which listing syndicators the information is purchased. We take various measures to ensure our customers are fully aware of the price and terms of our service before completing their registration and purchase. We clearly state on our site that when our customers sign up for the $1.00 7-day trial membership, they will be charged a $49.60 monthly subscription fee after trial expiration unless they cancel during the trial period. Our customers would see this not only on the Terms of Use page but more importantly, on the registration page where they enter their information. Therefore, in this case, the customer could not have completed the aforementioned process without first seeing and agreeing to the subscription pricing terms. Our website explains that cancellation can be done at any time, 7 days a week, by emailing the cancellation request or by calling our Customer Service Department. This is reiterated during the registration & purchase process as well. Our contact information is also clearly stated on our website & the customer’s credit card statement. Our Customer Service Department offers both live & email support 7 days a week, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST Monday through Friday & 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST on Saturday & Sunday. In this case, the customer would have seen our cancellation terms stating that she would be charged $49.60 if she did not cancel during the 7-day trial period.Once a customer successfully completes the purchase and registration process, they receive a Welcome Email providing various types of helpful information such as confirming their active account status, confirming the important terms of the subscription, confirming the date the 7-day trial period will end, confirming the amount of the post-trial monthly subscription fee of $49.60 as well as providing their account log-in information. This is important because it is another measure, we take to ensure our customers are fully aware of the terms they agreed to. Our records show that we sent the Welcome Email the same day as the registration, to the same email address the customer used in her Revdex.com complaint and that we did not receive any undelivered rejects or errors from the email servers.Even though we fully provided our services to the customer, on February 27, 2020, in good faith, we refunded the $152.80 to the same card she used during the initial purchase. We canceled her membership as well. It is without question that our customer completed all the steps necessary to complete the registration & purchase process. Therefore, we firmly believe our customer did in-fact knowingly authorize the $49.60 charge & that the complaint is without merit, respectfully. Thank you

I was recently charged 49.60 for something and I have no clue as to what this site is or how it even got my card information but I would really like my money refunded to my account

I have tried to contact this company several times to get this service cancelled. There is never an answer and I want my money back. This is a scam. They said they could not help me but charge me every month or try to. I have had to block them from my bank accounts.

I signed up for a free trial. I tried to cancel my free trial. They do not have an option to cancel online as they advertise. No one ever answers their customer service line. They don't send Any type of confirmation emails about their site. This site is strictly set up to extort money from people. Their listings of property are NOT exclusive. Definitely not a reputable site. I want my money back. This wouldn't have been an issue if people could cancel their service on the website! I want my money back! This company is horrible!

Once a customer successfully completes the purchase and registration process, they receive a Welcome Email providing various types of helpful information such as confirming their active account status, confirming the important terms of the subscription, confirming the date the 7-day trial period will end, confirming the amount of the post-trial monthly subscription fee of $49.60 as well as providing their account log-in information. This is important because it is another measure, we take to ensure our customers are fully aware of the terms they agreed to. Our records show that we sent two Welcome Emails the same day as the registration, to the same email address the customer used in her Revdex.com complaint and that we did not receive any undelivered rejects or errors from the email servers.
Even though we fully provided our services to the customer, on January 2, 2020, in good faith, we refunded the $49.60 to the same card she used during the initial purchase. We canceled her membership as well. Our customer was only charged once $49.60 not the $128.00 noted in her complaint.
Thank you

This company charged me 49.60 for a service I was told I could cancel within 7 days. They make it impossible to cancel. Ive been calling emailing. This is a total scam. I talked to someone 1time he wanted my card number. Experation date, because he couldnt find me in the system.

Rent Before Owning.com Response • Jan 25, 2020

Thank you for notifying us of our customer’s complaint. Our understanding of the complaint is that our customer claims she canceled her account within the 7-day trial and we still charged her.
To summarize, our records show that on December 6, 2019, at 11:25 PM PST, our customer visited our website Rentbeforeowning.com and successfully registered for a 7-day $1.00 trial membership with a recurring monthly billing amount of $49.60 until canceled. Our findings are that the customer did in-fact cancel her account at the end of the trial. However, our service charges the customers exactly 7-days, on the hour, from the date and time you originally registered, the monthly charge is not done manually. Our customer sent us an email on 12-14-2019 03:36 PM PST requesting to cancel her account, but her account had already been charged.
Even though we fully provided our services to the customer, on December 14, 2019, in good faith, we voided the $49.60 charge to the same card she used during the initial purchase. We canceled her membership as well.
CONCLUSION: It is without question that not only did our customer create a membership account on our site, she also canceled and the charge was voided the same day the trial ended.
Thank you

Have repeatedly tried to contact. I had canceled but they are still taking my money. If I can get them on the phone, they say they are going to transfer me, but instead disconnect me. They are stealing my money. I’m going to have to cancel my bank account if they don’t stop. I will be also reporting them to the state attorney’s office. They are taking advantage of people, and I see from the other cases they didn’t resolve. I’m sure they haven’t tried to make right with anyone. That’s a blatant lie

My friend had used it to see if she could find her a place to get herself out of a situation and when I called to cancel the lady at customer service said she sent me an email with the cancellation verification but I never received it and I’m being charged $49.60 every month which I cannot afford with all of my bills

Rent Before Owning.com Response • Jan 24, 2020

Thank you for notifying us of our customer’s complaint. Our understanding of the complaint is that our customer claims she did not authorize the $49.60 charge billed to her card. Her actions are completely contradictory and inconsistent with her aforementioned claims.
To summarize, our records show that on August 18, 2019, our customer visited our website Rentbeforeowning.com and successfully registered for two 7-day $1.00 trial memberships with a recurring monthly billing amount of $49.60 until canceled. Our findings are that the customer did in-fact knowingly authorize the $49.60 charges by completing all the necessary steps to complete the registration and purchase process shown below.
In this case, the customer would have seen our cancellation terms stating that she would be charged $49.60 if she did not cancel during the 7-day trial period.
Even though we fully provided our services to the customer, on January 24, 2020, in good faith, we refunded the $49.60 to the same card she used during the initial purchase. We canceled her membership as well.
Thank you

Dear Revdex.com, thank you for sending customer D's comments. We have researched the account history and found the account registration and charges were valid. There is no indication of fraud.

According to our records, the account was created on 7-16-2019. As part of the registration process, the customer agreed to be billed a one-time trial membership fee of $1.00, as well as a monthly recurring membership fee of $49.60 until the account is cancelled.

In order to create an account, each member must enter their first and last name, phone number, email address, credit card number, the three-digit security CVV number on the back of the card and their billing zip code. The CVV number and billing zip code that were provided during the registration were an exact match with what is on file with the cardholder’s issuing bank. With this being said customer D did complete the registration because she was charged our monthly fee.

Customer D was able to sign into her account on 9-3-2019 and she sent us an email requesting a refund and to cancel her account. On 9-3-2019 we had not yet received her funds and the $49.60 was still showing pending. We immediately voided the $49.60 charge.

By issuing the void, we consider this issue closed.
Thank you.

It was a couple of days before they contacted me and was only after Revdex.com contacted them because woman straight up asked why I sent complaint to Revdex.com I sent to you guys because 1) I own my home and I am on disability so I wouldn't need to open an account with them and pay a monthly fee to look at homes that I would have to pay rent at I can't afford that and didn't do it. 2) everywhere on internet says that the company is a scam but they did refund my money but only after I sent the complaint to the Revdex.com so thank you for the help. I do not recall making an account with rentbeforeowning.com but I recently had $49 dollars charged to my account. I would like my account to be terminated and the payments that are being taken out of my accounts so stop.

Our Customer Service system shows Customer A visited our website and registered for a 7-day trial membership with recurring monthly billing of $49.00 until canceled.

In order to create an account, each new member must enter their first and last name, phone number, email address, credit card number, the three-digit security CVV number from the back of their card and their billing zip code. The CVV number and billing zip code that were provided during the registration was an exact match with what is on file with the cardholder’s issuing bank. In order to complete the registration, the customer agreed to the Terms and Conditions and Pricing Information by clicking the “I agree and accept” button on the registration page.

Upon completion of registration, each new member is sent a welcome email that confirms the account is active, reiterates key terms of the subscription, including the trial end date, monthly subscription fee, and provides the website login information.

We have searched our customer database using Customer’s A’s name, email and phone number and confirmed, we have never had any form of communication regarding cancellation from this customer, until receiving this complaint. Cancellation can be done at any time, 7 days a week, by emailing the cancellation request, or by calling our Customer Service Department. Our contact information is clearly stated on our website and the customer’s credit card statement. Our customer service department offers both live and email support 7 days a week, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, Saturday and Sunday.

We processed, as a courtesy, a refund for $98.00. We emphasize this account purchase and billings were valid and conducted per the customer's purchase terms.
By issuing the full refund, we consider this issue closed.
Thank you.
.

I purchased a 7-day trial membership with this company in an effort to find a rent-to-own property. Once I got into the site and noticed it was not at all what I was looking for and called them to ask that they cancel the membership. This was well within the trial period. Yet I just noted where the company has billed my debit card and checking account for $49,60. I've read numerous similar complaints against the company. Their deceiptful practices really should be put to a stop.

Rent Before Owning.com Response • Aug 13, 2019

Thank you for alerting us to this customer concerns. According to our records, Mr. S registered for an account on 6-25-2019.

Mr. S stated he called to cancel the membership, well within the trial period. We have searched our customer database using Mr. S’s name and phone number and confirmed we have never had any form of communication from this customer, until receiving this complaint.
Had Mr. S canceled during the trial period, he would have received a cancellation confirmation email, which would have provided him with a cancellation number. We charged Mr. S for two months of service and had he canceled, he would not have seen this on his credit card statements every month.
Our customer service manager reached out to Mr. S to discuss his concerns, but was unable to reach him and left a detailed voicemail message.

Although the account was billed correctly, our customer service manager issued a refund of $99.20 for all charges.

We are confident that by refunding all charges, this issue has been completely resolved.

They took my money out of my checking account. It was 49.60. That was all the money I had left. Plus I never signed up with them.
