Most of the information in Mr. [redacted]'s letter is correct. The problem started when we tried to charge the original credit card that was given to us by Mr. [redacted]. The charges were...

declined because the credit card was stolen. We called and left a message for Mr. [redacted] stating that fact. Several hours later Mr. [redacted] came into our store with a different credit card and we charged it accordingly. When my delivery drivers tried to set up the tent they discovered that the yard was too small to even set up our smallest canopy. When the reservation was first made, we told Mr. [redacted] what the space requirements were and that he should measure his yard. I don't know if he measured it or not but were unable to provide him with a tent. We decided to credit $195.00 back to Mr. [redacted]. One of my employees erroneously applied the credit to the stolen card. I discovered that even though you can't charge a stolen credit card it can still be credited. When we discovered what happened we spoke to our credit card processor. They told us to have the customer call his bank and notify them of what happened. The customer's bank then should be able to track down the $195.00 and give it to Mr. [redacted]. It was out of our credit card processors hands and only Mr. [redacted] and his bank could rectify the problem. As stated in his letter to you, Mr. [redacted] decided that he did not want to help us rectify the error and he wanted the credit put on the card that was charged $336.00. I decided to go ahead and credit the correct card $195.00 because I know that we made a mistake and Mr. [redacted] should be credited that amount. However, I would have appreciated Mr. [redacted]'s help in tracking down the missing $195.00 but unfortunately he will not help. Now Rental Depot has issued $390.00 in credits. So the question for me still remains, where is the $195.00 that was originally credited to the stolen credit card?
Sincerely,
[redacted]
President
