Great food! Great salesperson, *** ***, knows everything that's needs to be known about the foodWill be purchasing again

Hi pressure sales tactic used on my wife, she bought into it She paid with a check she did not sign and the fellow ran right to the bank and cashed it When I got home a half hour later she met me in tears and told me about the ordeal I went straight to the bank website to put a stop payment on the check and found it had already been cashed I wrote a cancellation letter to them and tried to call many times, finally got a hold of them and they did get the letter After many more calls they picked up the meat (which we had not touched) We are now waiting for the refund check that was supposed to be to us in 5-days It has now been a month and I have called and sometimes am able to talk to *who says *will return my call, I just wanted to know if they were going to make good on the refund So now I am getting the bank involved and filing a fraud claim and they will see if they can get the money back They could have made this so much easier on themselves had they just returned my call I may also be filing a complaint on this site along with this vent if the bank does not have success

Residential Gourmet is my favorite of all of the delivery services out there.

We have tried Shwans and Omaha but these guys are much better.

We have been using them for over two years now and would recommend them to anyone who loves great food.

Review: I was pressured to buy steaks from a Residential Gourmet employee at a very high price. I have attempted contact this company a number of times with no reply. I called their office to request them to come and pick up the steaks, and I had no response. I sent them an e-mail asking the same issue and I explained that there was a stop payment on the check. Again no reply. There are many e-mail addresses on their business card and they all came back deliverable. I went to their web site for a different phone number and e-mail address and I experienced the same problem.Desired Settlement: I just want them to come and pick up their steaks and never come to my home again.

Review: One of Residential Gourmet's meat sales trucks/men came to our door on 1/27/16 and sold us 5 cases of meat with a promise to deliver an additional 2 cases as agreed on during the sale by the following Tuesday since they didn't have those particular cases on the truck and needed to go to Tucson to get them. Those cases didn't arrive as promised so we called the Tucson office where Dez told us the salesman had been sick the 1st time we called then shut off his phone for every call we made to him after. When we called their Phoenix office they gave us the same information about the salesman being sick the first time then didn't return our next 4 calls. Corporate HQ didn't return our calls at all, and the man who sold us the meat to begin with sent us two text messages claiming he didn't know us despite his signature on our sales receipt and was extremely rude to us on the third call. We'd like Residential to honor the deal they made with us and give us the 2 cases of beef they promised but at this point it looks like they've scammed us, cashed the check, and have no intention of making good.Desired Settlement: We would like Residential Gourmet to make good on their sale and deliver the two cases of beef they promised and we paid for.

Review: I made a purchase of beef and seafood from a persuasive door to door salesman. The purchase included a flyer for their company with their guarentee and rights to cancel clearly stated on the back of the brochure. Rights to Cancel (if our sales force solicits our products at your door this is a home solicitation sale. If within a 3 day period you decide you do not want the goods or service offered you may cancel this agreement by written notice to the seller.) I purchased products on 25 jun 2014 and sent a certified letter 27 th jun after deciding against this purchase. I have called numerous times to find out how to return their product as well as credit my credit card. I have called numerous times to both my salesman [redacted]...who directed me to call the main office and has now blocked my calls. I have left many messages with the main office and on 7/9/14 finally had a [redacted] answer the phone only to be put off until he could talk with the owner [redacted] . [redacted] promised he would for sure call me the following morning with instructions for product pick up. You guessed it .... no call ! I just want to clear my freezer out and be done with this company. By law I have done what I needed to do for this to be canceled.

Review: Bought a meat pkg and a fish pkg. The salesman said it was 100% guarantee. They both tasted awful. Tried e-mailing company for refund. Tried calling. No response. So I called salesman he said they would exchange the meat and fish. I told him I just wanted a refund. He said since I had it longer then 3 days no refund!! That he would bring out new pkgs of meat and fish. Well I don't want an exchange I want a refund. The beef and fish tasted awful. They were very tough.Desired Settlement: Just want my money back. I do not like the product.

Review: On October 2, 2014, we purchased a $599.00 meat package from Residential Gourmet Home Delivery at our home. A man named [redacted] was the salesperson, and with him was a trainee. It all sounded great (1 year guarantee replacement for any reason), so my wife purchased it. After they brought in the meat, [redacted] met me outside and told me to not hesitate to call if not completely satisfied with their product. He emphasized how they took great pride in keeping their customers very happy. I thanked him and they were on their way. A few days later we decided to try the filets. What a disappointment! They were tough, with a lot of fat and basically tasteless. Then we tried the chicken. It was tender, but tasteless. Next were the pork chops which were tough and tasteless. Finally, we tried two steaks, and were not surprised to find the same result. It seemed the meat was old. It didn't taste rancid, but tough and old. No one got sick! In mid October, I called their number and left a message about my concerns with meat. No return call. I tried again and again to no avail. My wife said she would try, and did get to talk to the owner, Brent Michaud, the owner. They conversed and he agreed to send someone out early the next week. No such person showed and neither were we contacted. I tried to make contact again several times and finally gave up calling. I made one last effort Friday November 28, 2014, and sent an email with no response.

So I am asking you to try to help me as best you can in this matter. We are a retired couple on a fixed income and don't mind paying for a good product. We feel we were taken advantage of by someone who doesn't back up his word or advertisements.

We thank you for the opportunity to file a complaint with the Revdex.com.

Sincerely,

[redacted] and [redacted]Desired Settlement: We would like a refund less what we have used and be finished with Residential Gourmet.

Review: I bought frozen food from them, poor quality they said I could exchange it and that they won't even return the phone callsDesired Settlement: Refund.

Review: On March 4, 2016 I purchased steaks from a door to door salesman.

After my purchase, the guy selling me the steaks switched what he had sold me for something else.

After he left, and I had time to think about it, I tried to call his company and demand a refund. When I went to the website, it displayed a message that the domain name was for sale. I tried calling, but got a message that the number I dialed was not a working number. Later, I discovered that when I typed in Residential Gourmet.com, I was directed to a similar site (Resident Gourmet)... don't know how that happened. I was speaking to a local sheriff, hoping to file a police report and as we were speaking (on the phone) the sheriff tried the site and was able to log on. The sheriff told me this was not a criminal matter, but a but a civil one.

I sent a registered letter to the company, demanding a refund. They called me on March 16th, and again on March 17th, when a man by the name of Brent assured me he would refund my money if it was one of his people. He never called back and though I've made several attempts to reach him, I cannot. They never answer their phone... all calls go directly to voicemail.

This was a classic bait and switch scam. I'm 73 years old, live only on my Social Security, and cannot afford to lose $110.00 to a company that pulls this kind of stunt. I've done everything I can to resolve this matter, but this company apparently does not want that.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. I told them I would gladly return their steaks. So far, this has cost me more than what I paid them, due to fees for sending them a registered letter, and fees I paid to a website that claims they can help me with his, but all I want is for them to return my $110.00 and I will return their steaks.

Review: Unable to make an exchange of the product; person selling in our street was suppose to call and make the exchange. The first time he wanted to do this I had to take my husband to the doctor. Never heard from [redacted] again. I have called his cell/land line several times, he never returns the call. I have tried to contact Residential Gourmet to no avail so I had to revert to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: The deal was to replace the fillets with the pork chops which was last Friday, 2/6/2015. [redacted] was going to call me when he would be able to make the replacement. Never heard from him. I spent quite a bit of money on this meat and expected it to be excellent. My husband couldn't eat the fillets because they were so tough which is why I wanted the exchange. All the other meats I tried were fine so far. I don't want the money back, just an exchange.

Review: I purchased a fish box from Residential Gourmet's delivery man, [redacted]. I wanted to pay credit card and he said the system was down. I gave him a check which he immediately went to my bank and cashed the check. The fish was spoiled. I tried to call the Phoenix number and it was not in service. I called New Mexico and was told it would be up and running to keep trying. There is a money back guarantee on the brochure. I am furious that he sold me rancid fish and I want to return the rest and get my money back.Desired Settlement: Iwant my money back and am happy to return the fish I did not discard. I paid $170.00

Review: We purchased several hundred dollars worth of beef and fish from Residential Gourmet. The beef has been good but the fish has been horrible. We had a representative stop by right before Christmas, we told him the fish was bad and he said we needed to call the main and that he would be in our area for a few days. We immediately called the main office. No answer, left a message. We received no return pone call. We called several times while the rep was in our area and no one called us back. After we knew the rep was gone, we continued calling and finally got a hold of a [redacted]. She too our information and said she would pass it on. We waited several days and still no one called us. Finally got a hold of [redacted] again and she said she had passed on our information and that the owner [redacted] was in the office at that time. I immediately called the office and still no answer, left a message and no return call. We have made several attempts to contact them and they DO NOT make return phone calls. We live in Colorado and realize the reps don't come up here on a regular basis but it would be nice to know when we could expect them to come get the bad product. We were going to ask for a replacement of product but after no consideration of a return phone call on their part we want a refund.Desired Settlement: A phone call from some one that can tell us when a rep will be in our area and a full refund.

Review: We bought meat & seafood from a vendor who rang our bell. The meat looked okay, and said we were getting it for a good price.A second man came by 2 wks later, told us, he as giving a good price. again we purchased. Both would not take a credit card, so we wrote a check. They seemed to have us in a trance, because we did not get a receipt or any info as to normal label contains, such as weight, etc. at this point we had not eaten any of the product. When we did, we were very disappointed in the taste and quality of the meat. It was awful. We called these men, but they said we should contact Residential Gourmet. We did and they came to our and exchanged it. Third man told the meat had been and refrozen. The we tried the new meat. It was full of fat and grizzle, so we complained again and they brought

us new meat to exchange. We decided,we wanted to exchange all our meat for seafood, because the last exchange was not any better.. The fourth person did not enough seafood and said would deliver the seafood the next week. We didn't hear from them and when I called the phone was out of service ([redacted] Location) Mgr Desmond Then I got a call from [redacted] (Cythina and Michael say to me they would get hold of Desond and he would call and arrange a time for the exchange. Since the 29th of Feb. I have called and called, but no one returns my calls. We truly feel the product (meat was bad). We were scamed by the first two men. we forgot to ask for bills of sale, etc. We are new to Arizona and feel badly about this ordeal and disappointed and truly hope not everyone handles business in this matter. Please let know if more info is needed. We feel that we were taken advantage of, because we are elderly. We should know better, we won't let this happen .Thank you.Desired Settlement: refund or take back meat for seafood

Hi pressure sales tactic used on my wife, she bought into it. She paid with a check she did not sign and the fellow ran right to the bank and cashed it. When I got home a half hour later she met me in tears and told me about the ordeal. I went straight to the bank website to put a stop payment on the check and found it had already been cashed. I wrote a cancellation letter to them and tried to call many times, finally got a hold of them and they did get the letter. After many more calls they picked up the meat (which we had not touched). We are now waiting for the refund check that was supposed to be to us in 5-7 days. It has now been a month and I have called and sometimes am able to talk to *. who says *. will return my call, I just wanted to know if they were going to make good on the refund. So now I am getting the bank involved and filing a fraud claim and they will see if they can get the money back. They could have made this so much easier on themselves had they just returned my call. I may also be filing a complaint on this site along with this vent if the bank does not have success.

Review: I had a salesman from Residential Gourmet come to my house on October 8th, 2013. I ended up purchasing $415.00 dollars worth of various meat products. Decided I didn't want the meat after reading reviews so I sent in a cancelation letter to the Phoenix location like their brochure says to do. I paid for overnight on this letter and made sure it was signed by someone there. The brochure says you have to cancel within 3 days of the purchase and I cancelled the very next day which was the 9th. I then got a call from the owner ([redacted]) I believe on the 10th of October and he told me he received the letter and he would have the salesman who sold me the meat come by my house, pick up my meat and refund my money. So after a week and no word from anyone I start calling the business ###-###-#### in Phoenix over and over again. No one ever answers their phone over there. Weeks go by and still no word and I can't get a hold of anyone. Finally out of nowhere, the salesman ([redacted]) shows up at my house to pick up the meat. I ask him to refund my money but he says he doesn't have the hardware to do that, he thought the company already refunded my money and tells me that they charged him for the meat already. He says he has to take the meat back to the Phoenix location, drop off the meat and they should refund my money after they get the meat back. I'm hesitating to do this because now I will have no meat and no refund. However I had no space in my freezer and figured this is probably my only chance to get my money back. So he left me a letter stating he took the meat and what he took. I sent another letter the day after the salesman took the meat to the Phoenix location and added the letter the salesman wrote, a bank statement showing that I still haven't been refunded and another letter I wrote, here is the letter:

"[redacted]: Residential Gourmet:

[redacted] picked up the meat from my house last night on November 7th. He had mentioned that he was charged for the meat as well and that he needs to drop it off in Phoenix. Not sure how you all work out the payments/returns and frankly it doesn’t really matter to me, all I want is my refund posted back into my account. I have attached my bank statement to show you that I have not received a refund yet and the receipt for the original amount in case you lost the last one. I also had him sign something to show that he picked up the food and what was picked up. As of right now, I am out of $415.00 and have no meat as well. Please take care of this as soon as possible. You can give me a call if you need to, ###-###-####.

[redacted]."

So more weeks go by, still can't get a hold of anyone and I still have not been refunded. I have done everything I possibly can to get refunded. I never ate a piece of the meat and had all of the original boxes that he sold me. This company seems very shady to me and my next step will have to be through the courts, I just hope it doesn't get that far.Desired Settlement: I just want my $415.00 dollars credited back into my credit card that I used to pay for this meat, I cancelled my order within the 3 days and did everything by the book.

I purchased meat from a young man named Chris and not only was he very polite and respectful, he gave us cooking tips. Everything we have tried so far has been wonderful! We will definitely be calling on him in the future, and Residential Gourmet. Thanks Chris!
