Review: Middle of November, [redacted] came to our door guaranteeing his steak package was the best we could buy. He said our satisfaction was guaranteed! He said his boss is a millionaire and doesn't need money and these steaks are worth $600. He didn't have a brochure to give us as he ran out. We informed him we were going out of town for 3 weeks and would not be able to try them during that time. We tried our first steak when we had a guest over in December. The steaks were tough and I thought that type was just bad. A week later, we tried another type. Same thing. Hard to chew and very tough. We tried a third steak with the same result! He threw in a chicken package too and the chicken is horrible also. Texture isn't right as its like eating jello!

I spent about a week trying to track down [redacted] and found that he worked for Residential Gourmet. I left messages and sent emails to Residential Gourmet. Without any responses, I called again on 12/29 and got a hold of [redacted], the office manager. She informed us that their policy is a 3 day money back guarantee. That is not what [redacted] told us. [redacted] assured us she would have [redacted] contact us the beginning of the year. I have not heard from him or Residential Gourmet. I have tried numerous times to call their office (just get the voice mail during working hours) and my emails go unanswered.

On December 29Desired Settlement: I would like my money back since these steaks and chicken are not very good as advertised and the sales person told us they were guarantied the best steaks.

Review: Wife purchased meat in late September 2013, approx September 22nd. I called and asked for a refund within 24 hours of purchase as per the 100% guarantee on the brochure: 'If you are not completely satisfied with our gourmet food products, you will be entitled to a refund or exchange, whichever you prefer'. I spoke to a Female who said she would have [redacted] call me to take care of it. He NEVER called. I waited approx 2 months before I called again. This time I spoke with [redacted] who was not very happy to speak to me, but he assured me he would get the meat picked up and refund my money. Never again hearing from him, I called again approx another 6 weeks later. This time he was apologetic and assured me a second time he would take care of it. Never heard from him again. Called again around the first week of February 2014 and spoke with [redacted] for a THIRD time. Once again he was quite apologetic, and said he was going to call his Albuquerque office, which is closer to me and set up a refund. He said "I will call them and then call you back in 30 minutes." That was 3 weeks ago, and I have not heard from him. I have called twice in the past 2 weeks and left voice mails to call me, and nothing. That's 6 phone calls in 5 months, having spoke to a lady, and to [redacted] 3 times, and 2 voice mails, and no refund in sight.Desired Settlement: A refund on the product as promised in the brochure, and as promised by [redacted] for the past 5 months.

Review: I recently purchased meat from Residential Gourmet and after taking it out of the packaging and inspecting it there is air in the "sealed" package and the meat is brown and rotten. I refuse to cook this and serve it to my family. As per their brochure which I have a copy of, I am entitled to a full refund if I am not satisfied and I am not. I have sent emails, called numerous times and have left messages to no avail. I paid $250.00 cash and that is what I want back and at this point I believe storage fees should be tacked on for the inconvenience of needing to keep this in my freezer. I have a receipt showing my purchase was cash.Desired Settlement: $250.00 cash at my doorstep in exchange for the meats

Great food! Great salesperson, [redacted], knows everything that's needs to be known about the food. Will be purchasing again.

Residential Gourmet is my favorite of all of the delivery services out there.

We have tried Shwans and Omaha but these guys are much better.

We have been using them for over two years now and would recommend them to anyone who loves great food.

Review: On Sept. 16, 2014 a door-to-door meat salesman ([redacted]) with Residential Gourmet used high pressure sales tactics to get my wife to buy some meat. She paid with a check (#[redacted]). When I got home a half hour later she met me in tears and told me about the ordeal. I went straight to the bank website to put a stop payment on the check and found it had already been cashed. I wrote a cancellation letter to them and tried to call many times, finally got a hold of Brent, Sept. 18. He said they did get the letter, said they would schedule a pickup of the meat and give us a refund. After many more calls they picked up the meat on Sept. 29 (which we had not touched). We are now waiting for the refund check that was supposed to be to us in 5-7 days. I have called and sometimes am able to talk to [redacted] who says [redacted] will return my call, but never does. I just wanted to know if they were going to make good on the refund.

12-5 got a hold of [redacted] on 11-19 and 12-2 and both times he said he would have a check to me, didn't make it. I'm pretty sure he is stringing me along.Desired Settlement: I want them to repay the $359 they owe us.

Review: This seems to be the next option on getting our $320 back from this company. My husband made the mistake in purchasing 2 boxes of meat from 2 men driving around the neighborhood. He bought a box of beef and a box of pork. These so called high quality meats are nothing of the sort!! They are rotten!!!!! We've cooked 3 different cuts of meat and all were the same: mushy, foul tasting, and all around gross. We have called; the 1st time....the guy had to find out who sold it to us and they would call back, 3 weeks later and no call back, my husband calls again, today, and the guy who answered had an attitude and only got his name and number and said someone will call him back. Another 3 weeks later and we have yet to recieve a call back. We do not want this rotten meat, we want our $320 back in full! I have read all the complaints on here and on rip off websites and they are doing the same thing to us, that they have done to all these other people!Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to get all of our money back with no hassle and for the company to stop screwing innocent, hard working people out of their money.

great service even greater food. [redacted] was very knowledgable about the product and the company and gave me a great deal. I even ate the steaks I purchased even though I tend to not eat red meat the quality was outstanding!
