Had our driveway milled in January via (Asphalt Millings) Less then months later we were in contact (with the very rude) *** *** (owner) because horrible pitting had occured in the "freshly" milled driveway He supposedly sent someone out to inspect the issue and said nothing was his fault but he would send us millings to fill the pot holes up Had half a truck of millings dumped at our house today (7/31/2018) months later but no one to repair the pot holes Even his own employees who dropped the millings off said our driveway didn't look right and the millings basically looked more like crush and run instead

Not at all happy with customer service Sealcoated driveway fall 2012; during winter driveway turned into black sand soot - in garage, on shoes, in house Emailed several times, no response - finally wrote letter to President and it was determined that it was the "product" and maybe all the trees lining my driveway! They came out to pressure wash - great! Sealcoated driveway again (comp), same thing happened again during winter Continued to email and ask to come out and look - I didn't expect another sealcoat nor did I want one Never came out to take a look It would have been nice to have received a call or email sharing with me what the problem was the second time!

Good Afternoon,We did install a concrete pad in and Richards Paving replaced the concrete pad in 2014, even though it clearly states that we are not responsible for any "cracking after concrete installation" (please see attached contract).Mr*** did stop in the office and
spoke to another Estimator, *** ***, but we have no record of any phones and/or letters until we received his certified letter in July I called Mr*** when I received the certified letter and told him that his Estimator, *** *** would be out, which he was and took pictures.I spoke with Mr*** this morning and explained that we've already replaced it once, even though it was our opinion that the extreme cold temperatures we experienced caused his cracking and we feel that the most recent cracking again, is a result of brutally cold temperatures Unfortunately, we can not control the weather I explained to Mr*** that we felt this was an act of nature (cold temperatures) and per his contract, we are not responsible for the cracking.I told Mr*** that I was aware of his complaint with the Revdex.com and that I was going to reply today with a copy of his contract, which is attached and he kindly stated that I would be hearing from him.Best Regards,*** ***

customer service and poor workmanship I am disgusted that this comp

Although our contract clearly states that we do not guarantee 100% water drainage, Richards Paving will return to BFM when the weather permits to install additional asphalt in the one low area and infared the edges. Good Morning Revdex.com,
Our Sales Manager, [redacted], scheduled a visit with [redacted] on May 12, 2014.  After meeting with [redacted] she agreed to let Richards Paving come back in July or August ([redacted] chose this time frame) for us to come back and re-sealcoat her...

driveway (at no charge, of course).
Please let me know if there is anything else you require of me, as it is very important to me to maintain my A+ rating with the Revdex.com!
[redacted]

I was very unpleased with the customer service. We spent more than $2k to have a driveway tear out and re-lay down in April 2014. We contacted the company in March of 2015 before the 1 year warranty was to expire to have them check on the driveway because of the winter weather and the significant frost heave that we believed we experienced. The company did come out to assess but, much to our shock, their only response was that the driveway needed a seal coat, and it should have been seal coated within 90 days of the new driveway being laid. If that was the case, why weren't we told that? Why wouldn't they just have scheduled that service when we spent over $2k on the new driveway/signed that contract? Surely we would have spent another $250 to get the timely sealcoating and protect our investment in the new driveway. Upon being advised this, we signed a contract on April 14, 2015 for a seal coating. As of July 17, 2015 it's still not done. Some other examples of poor customer service along the way are as follows. After being advised on at least one prior occasion that it would be done but it wasn't, we were last advised on July 2nd, that it would be done on July 7th. It was not done and no phone call was made to advise us that it wouldn't be or to reschedule it. We called the company to follow up on July 17th, and spoke to the "owner's wife" who did nothing but point out that some handbook allegedly advised us of the 90 day sealcoat need (which, candidly, was no longer our issue because what's done is done, but rather just something we raised in the context of inquiring why the sealcoat still wasn't done for us after having booked in April 2015), and then she interrupted to point out that while we signed in April, sealcoating didn't start until mid-June so it hadn't been that long. However, what she didn't do was speak to why ours was still not done and why we didn't get a call regarding the July 7th scheduled date. All said and done, it was a frustrating customer service experience, had a 'used car salesman' feel since we kept getting strung along, and we cancelled our agreement and moved to another vendor.

Met with customer and we have agreed to replace driveway. Process has begun. Sent on: 10/3/2015 8:15:18 AM

Worst job ever ! The average parking lot looks better than my driveway. They did my driveway over 30 years ago so thought I would get the same perfection, wow how I was so wrong. I had my single driveway turned into a double. From the estimator to [redacted] himself what a total let down. Nothing but excuses, I guess when you get so big a little job means nothing to him. The driveway looks so smooth in spots and large stone in others. So many seams and high lips, it really looks like crap. They also cracked the concrete curbing with their paver and have yet offered to replace or repair it. Still waiting for them to come back and try to fix the appearance of the driveway if they can now.
Please read this and take second thought of hiring Richards Paving as there are better pavers out there at a better price.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Although the majority of their response is accurate, there claim that only 2 inches for the low areas was agreed upon is false and not in the contract. The contract states they would "fill in the low areas" and they did not. When [redacted] came back to the Facility NO MENTION of a drain being needed was spoken about. As soon as he walked up to he said " I can clearly see the low area". BFM did agree that we would not have 100% drainage but we never agreed to have a lake at the end of our driveway. If the drain was needed, why did Richards not tell us that when they gave us the estimate? Why would they pave over something and then tell us we have to tear it up and add a drain to not have the Lake at the end of the drive. The driveway now holds more water than it ever did before and that was the issue we were trying to resolve with paving in the first place and what Richards told us they could assist with. Again it was not to be 100% drainage but there was also not to be a puddle 3 inches deep and 10 ft long and 5 foot wide at the end of the drive.

The Owner would like to schedule a time to look at the [redacted]' driveway.  Please call [redacted] to schedule a time.

Review: My driveway was re-paved on 6-11-15. I was told not to park on it for at least 3 days. On 6-16-15 I parked my car on the driveway. After moving my car on the morning of 6-17-15 I noticed deep depressions where the front tires had been. I waited until 6-23-15 to park on the driveway again. With the same results. Contacted the representative for my account on 6-24-15. He said he would have a look at the problem. Did not hear back from him so I called and left a voice mail on 6-30-15. He called back and said that the owner told him they would not be able to resolve the issues until late August or September. I told him that that was un acceptable to wait that long to have the repairs made and would pursue getting my money back from the credit card company and or taking legal action to get the money back.

He said he would speak to [redacted] again and try and get it moved up. On 7-10-15 received call from rep. saying that [redacted] agreed to move up the repairs to the week of 7-13-15 or 7-20-15.

On 7-20-15 I sent a text message to the representative with photos of depressions all over the driveway . He responded with a message saying I was not on the schedule for that week and that he would have to come back out and take a look at the driveway to see what solution would work.

7-28-15 after sending another text to the representative he called me back and said that he did not have the resources to do the job that week or the next week. Aug- 3,2015.

7-31-15 I called the main office and spoke with the owner's wife and was told that the equipment needed was not available and that [redacted] would call me to let me know when the driveway would be repaired.

As of today August 13th.2015 I have not heard anything back from the company.Desired Settlement: It is my belief that the foundation for the driveway was not properly compacted prior to the asphalt being installed. Because to this date anywhere you park on the driveway indentations are left by the tires. I think that the asphalt needs to be taken up and the foundation properly compacted to support the asphalt.

Review: In September of 2013 we had a concrete pad & an asphalt driveway installed by above company,(not as what was there before) less then a year a cracked formed in the pad, after finally getting someone to address the issue after numerous phone calls ,messages & going to their office the one pad was redone after being told that the whole pad would be re poured. When a representative of their company was here to redo the work he was asked about why stone was starting to show through we were told it was probably a bad batch of concrete. During the time trying to get that issued addressed another crack form in the same pad as the previous pad in the same area. After writing two letters expressing concern & trying to get the issues addressed I finally sent a certified letter on July 18, 2015 that was signed for and received by the above company on July 20, 2015. On July 27,2015 I finally received a call from the owners wife stating she received the certified letter but never received the other two & that they have an elaborate phone system & I have never made any calls to their business. I was then informed by her that she would give the letter to the salesman named [redacted] that handle the sale and have him call me. On July 27,2015 I received a call from [redacted] stating again that they never received letters & asking me was going on & he told me he would be out later that afternoon or the next day to look at the pad & gave me his phone cell phone number if I needed to reach him. On July 30, 2015 I called [redacted] to see what the status was of the pad being repaired and was told by him that he was out, took a video of the pad & would show it to the vice president tomorrow & would call me later in the day. At the time of this filing I haven't herd from him or anyone else since our last contact made by me.Desired Settlement: To have the concrete pad re poured to code same as the pad they removed as in height & thickness. If repairs wont be made I would like a full refund. If repairs are to be made I want to document each process as performed to insure the quality & safety of my family.
