To Whom it may concern:Rick's Plumbing stands firm with our first statement in regards to Mrs***'s foundations issues We have since been in contact with Mrs*** and believe we have reached a solution with the customer in regards to the shower Rick' Plumbing has agreed to have the small screw hole on the new fiberglass shower repaired Rick's Plumbing has also hired a glass company to replace the glass shower door In regard to Mrs***'s comments about another consumer she spoke of, of course there are two sides to each story, but without getting into that the last text message received from customer from California was quote "Great news! I appreciate thatThank you very much If you come personally with your crew, I'd like to shake your hand, bury the hatchet and make amendsYour call." end quoteDocumentation available. This will be our last response in regards to this matter, any further communication needs to be directed to our Attorney, or Mrs*** has Rick's phone number. *** ** *** * ***

I do NOT accept this 'partial refund' of my original deposit, nor their excusesI believe I am due the whole $of my depositI will not deposit nor cash this $check until this issue is resolved to my satisfaction
As mentioned in my original complaint, I provided the new softener, this plumbing company did not provide this applianceAs both old and new water softeners are of the same brand & manufacturer, the same size, and would be put into the exact same place, then, obviously, the only 'needed parts' would have been common pvc plumbing parts, & glueIt's not my fault the tech quoted me $for a $jobThe only thing I am responsible for is being stupid not to question this extremely high quote and the reason he might have quoted this price in the first placeI had already done research on-line of the 'average cost' of installing a new water heater, but did not listen to my common sense screaming at me over the high price as I handed Mr*** the $cashWhen I called back to cancel, the woman who answered the phone acted like she wasn't going to cancel the job at all, then she said, "There will be a service call fee." My reply was, "NoYour web site and yellow page ads all say, free estimatesI did not ask for a service call, only an estimate to install a new water softener which I will provide." Then she huffed & puffed until finally she said the tech would have to call me backMr*** called me back within minutes after I spoke to the office woman and he promised me there would be NO service charge fee, the company would refund my complete $400. While Mr*** was here at my home, he said he was NOT a
service tech, only an estimator for the companyBut he also said he was
a master plumber, but at his age, he only 'did estimates" now. It has taken days to get a portion of my money back, with no word from the company despite repeated calls to their officeI had to file this complaint before I got any kind of response from Rick's Plumbing Service in Cleburne, Texas. They have had days to use my money, and even if they had had to buy maybe $worth of plumbing parts, I seriously doubt Home Depot nor Lowes nor any other plumbing supplier would have charged them any $worth of restocking feesI am a customer and am not responsible for their work scheduling nor paying their employees for work that was NOT doneMr*** also kept trying to sell me on their 'yearly service plan'For $a year, they would come out, turn on a few faucets/cut-offs/check for leaksEven after I politely said I was not interested, he kept trying to get me to sign up for their yearly service plan.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:In regards to Ricks recent response, we find the following information as facts First of all, yes we were given an option to jack hammer or tunnel to repair Because we have stained concrete floors, it only make sense to not jackhammer the entire floor to repair two pieces of pipe It would have been very costly to the insurance as well The purpose for us calling Rick's Plumbing was due to a water leak/pipe break, not foundation problems We would have called our foundation company if that was the problem The day Rick's Plumbing was doing the tunnel work, my foundation guy asked *** if he would be mudpumping the dirt back in If ***, the professional, wasn't sure if it needed to be done, he should have halted the work and contacted his supervisor It shouldn't be left up to the customer to make a decision in that manner He was our mediator; therefore, he needs to answer as to why he didn't contact upper management. As far as claiming that we had zero issues before them coming out, we never said we didn't have foundation problems We had zero issues with the new large cracks, front door not closing, etc We have already paid a foundation company in the past to repair those issues These are issues that have come up since the tunnel work was done As far as our son making a comment about the front door always having issues shutting, that is incorrect He did say that yes we've had problems with it occasionally, but that was prior to the foundation work completed We were always able to open and close it Now the door will not budge because of the house settling The front door was fully operational at the time Rick's did a shower replacement, which was 3-weeks after tunnel work was completed They carried new and old shower install through that door In regards to the tunnel being inches by inches, it exceeds well over those measurements The attached pictures show how big it was Some places under there was wider than foot because they had to "Y" off to repair a second pipe *** states that there were no piers seen A picture shows on the outside footer a pier just a few inches from where they were digging The next piling is feet over The outside grade beam is in jeopardy due to the chiseling done within inches of the pier And this pier is supporting my foundation Our foundation issues are not due to a poor slab installation It is due to movement of the dirt *** stated that he is not a professional foundation expert; therefore he is only speculating on the condition of the slab We are not putting the blame on Rick's Plumbing We are trying to get our home fixed Timing points it to be a result of their work We never said the shower door leaked We were just not happy with the workmanship The door should have been subbed out to a contractor As your response states, you aren't professional door installers; therefore you should have had a professional install it We were going to discuss as to whether or not we just wanted the door replaced or entire unit and door replaced As far as texting days later, due to it being the weekend, we did not want to bother him on his time off We wanted to discuss if we wanted to go through the whole process of tearing unit out and start over As far as shower being installed, we called back weeks later because we were informed that the shower would arrive while we were on vacation Therefore we decided to start the work after we returned home on July 31, They just need to take care of their customers We have documentation of another customer recently having trouble with them The conversation got so elevated that *** told them he knew they would be a problem in the beginning because they were from California Who says that to a customer?? Again, we have that documentation Best regards,*** *** *** ***

We are not quite sure why Mr*** has rejected our response, we have recommended he pursue his water company to have the charges on his bill waived, as we had a licensed plumber on site, and did not cause the issues he is claiming T***s. Kristin S***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***. I will accept the offer made by the business only because I have no other choice. I do not agree with their comments. I understood exactly what the Tech told me which was stated in my complaint. Please have the $credited to the card that was previously given to the Tech at the time of service.
