Ride Cali

Currently fighting with the owner, ***, to receive a refund on a very poor service provided in September. I spoke with *** and rented a bus for my friends bachelorette party in mid September for $295 and paid in full in advance. We were promised that the vehicle would be ours for the night and water would be provided. The day before I was contacted by *** who stated he didn't have my payment and asked for a screen shot proving I had paid. On the day of our service our driver was 30 minutes late and the vehicle reeked of cigarettes. When we were ready for our ride at the end of the night the driver told me he took another call and wouldn't be back for over an hour. I called the next morning to let *** know my frustrations and he responded that I shouldn't have been promised those things and that I was undercharged. Over the course of the next week over numerous phone calls, *** told me a fare that small wasn't worth his time and I didn't understand how business worked. After insulting my intelligence and hanging up on me on several occasions he agreed to refund me in the form of a business check for $160, this is after he let it slip that he had other refunds to process. After texts back and forth asking for my home address and constant follow up from myself he is stating that he has filed bankruptcy. Now several weeks later and multiple inquiries for proof he has blocked my number and refuses to comply. When looking further into the matter, *** has reopened his business under the name of Cali Car Service. He has also posted on his Facebook page that he is not closed and it just reinventing the business.
