Mr*** called on 9/12/to speak with our Customer Care, he alerted us to
his issue. Following his call, our
representative personally went to our Returns Department to investigate the
issue and found Mr***’s shoes. Mr*** shoes were set aside for our research team in an effort to find the owner of the
package, because unfortunately there was no return paperwork included with the
package, to link the package to the owner.
Additionally
the representative Mr*** spoke to on 9/12/personally issued a refund to
MrPerson, and sent him an email confirming what actions were taken. All of this took place on Monday 9/15/as
promised to Mr. ***
We
apologize that Mr*** was unable to receive the correct size when he
ordered his shoes on our website, and again by phone. We also apologize for the time it took for
his return to reach Road Runner sports for processing

details of the complaint filed, [redacted] had placed an order on Roadunnersports.com.  At the time of submission of the order, [redacted] had the option to select or edit the delivery address before completing the order.  When Road Runner Sports received the order, the delivery address selected was the address where the package was mailed to.  [redacted] contacted Road Runner Sports to inform us that he did not receive the package, since it was delivered to an address that he no longer lives at.   At a cost incurred to Road Runner Sports, we attempted to re-route the package with the shipping vendor. This was unsuccessful since the package was already delivered.  Additionally, since the shipping partner accurately delivered the package to the address requested, a reimbursement could not be issued.  Normally, Road Runner Sports would be under no obligation to replace/refund the purchase, since the package was delivered to the address requested by the customer.    In an effort of good faith to resolve this customer’s complaint we have refunded the customer’s [redacted] account, as a one-time exception.  We are confident that this action satisfies the desired settlement requested of a refund or replacement.      Sincerely,     [redacted] Road Runner Sports

This message is in response to Mr.[redacted]’ rejection to the initial resolution provided by Road Runner Sports.    The complainant, Mr. [redacted] was a Road Runner customer since 2009, and had twice joined the VIP Club. The first time was by web in 2009, and the second by phone in 2014. Currently, any web customer that is about to purchase a VIP membership receives this notification on the online order page:   EACH YEAR YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW FOR $27.99 AND BE CHARGED TO A VALID CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ON FILE, WHICH MAY BE UPDATED BY THE CARD ISSUER, OR AN EXISTING PAYPAL ACCOUNT. YOU MAY CANCEL YOUR VIP MEMBERSHIP AT ANY TIME AND BE REFUNDED THE REMAINING BALANCE BY CALLING (800) 543-7309. BY ADDING THE VIP MEMBERSHIP TO YOUR CART, YOU AGREE TO THESE VIP MEMBERSHIP TERMS. See the description tab below for complete program details.   Our Phone and Retail scripting follows this format.  Additionally, each VIP member is mailed an anniversary letter through the US Postal Service one month prior to renewal advising as to the coming automatic renewal.   It is fair to say that the level of disclosure concerning the renewal terms has increased and improved since 2009, when complainant, Mr. [redacted] first joined the VIP Club.
