I had already signed my trade title and Laura was explaining extended warranty when I asked about the 7-year/100,000- mile powertrain warranty Laura (finance person) stated that was the certified warranty and this vehicle was not certified which was a shock since I had the print out of the [redacted] ad that was very specific in stating that this vehicle had been Nissan CertifiedShe got sales manager Simon who told me the vehicle was certified eligible NOT certified and it would another $to get it certifiedI did get the certification at no charge but I feel only because I had the print out that stated it in print the vehicle was certified The entire experience with this dealership was a nightmare

We do apologize for any inconvenience.Unfortunately, as an independently owned and operated franchise, we cannot provide any further assistance at Nissan dealerships other than oursWhile we would consider a number of accommodations, we cannot do what has been requested. The GM would certainly appreciate the opportunity to re-earn your business, but it would likely be in the context of some sort of refund. We appreciate all of the Revdex.com's assistance in bringing this situation to our attention.Regards, Eric Compliance

Very shady! I walked out and they called me multiple times since then

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
You are the umbrella company that oversees all the dealerships and I am unhappy with how a representative of your organization treated me and lied to me about the time it would take to service my vehicleI have received no response or apology nor any offer of reimbursement from the dealership
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above

Please be advised that while my client is deeply concerned about our customer's claims, our service facility has now road tested the vehicle multiple times, without the ability to duplicate her concerns or download an error code in the vehicle's computer system that would indicate what might
be wrong or that something even occurredAll of our information on this vehicle indicates that not only is there nothing wrong, but that the claimed incidents of stalling are not in the vehicle's stored history on its computer. We must emphasize that Nissan North America must be involved with the solution, as they would ultimately determine the warranty coverage and status of the mechanical issuesThe present issue is that the customer, has been abusive in her dealings with our staff and has made a crusade of disseminating negative information via social media and other publicityAt this time, my client would prefer that the vehicle be brought to another Nissan dealership, one perhaps that could serve her better at this time. Nissan's consumer info line is ***A new local dealer can be selected and Nissan itself can be made aware of sameAt this time, my client has concern for the well-being and safety of their personnel and elects to end the relationship before it gets worse. Additionally, if the vehicle is left at the dealership as threatened, it will be handed over to the bank and treated as a voluntary repossessionWe must repeat for point of emphasis that no direct contact with dealership is volunteered or desiredWe will await instruction from Nissan North America as to the next stepsWe would also appreciate that the libelous and slanderous activity cease as well. Thanks, Eric K***Compliance

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The response provided by Rockaway Nissan is completely insufficient and does not address the fact that my money was procured from Rockaway Nissan under false pretenses – as outlined Rockaway Nissan acquired the loan agreement from NMAC using falsified information (when I called NMAC on 5/**/17 to confirm what rental amount was submitted to them by the dealership, the NMAC representative confirmed that the falsified number of $400 was submitted, not the $815 I signed off on). The facts presented regarding the unscrupulous business practices of Rockaway Nissan are further substantiated by the written testimonies of other individuals who presented similar claims of unethical and unfair practices by Rockaway Nissan, hence the fact that as of the writing of this response (6/*/17) the business has a rating of “D-“ with the Revdex.com. The car still vibrates when driven at 65 MPH (as confirmed by [redacted]’s representative on 5/*/17, 3:12pm). The fact remains that, today, the car is still in service at [redacted] in Pennsylvania in disrepair - it was towed there from off the side of the road due to a failed transmission 8 days after purchase (on April **, 2017, a fact confirmed by [redacted] records). The car has been out of service for over a month as of today. The 15 days allotted by the Lemon Law for the vehicle to be fully repaired was exceeded as of 5/**/17 (three weeks ago). The so called “reimbursement” Mr. K[redacted] refers to is: (1) the cost of a bus ticket home from Pennsylvania to NYC after the car was towed off the side of a Pennsylvania highway a mere 8 days following the purchase of the vehicle; (2) the second “reimbursement” they are indicating they offered is for the rental car costs I’ve incurred while the car has been in disrepair. The few hundred dollars they are offering is not sufficient penance for the fact that Rockaway Nissan falsely advertised this as a car that had been manufacture certified by Nissan (a fact confirmed by a representative before I test drove the car), then it was only after they charged my credit card for the first down payment that the dealership then revealed that the car (contrary to their advertisements and the word of their representative) was only “eligible” to be manufacturer certified. The “bait and switch” business practices Rockaway Nissan employed to acquire my business and my money under false pretenses is tantamount to willfully advertising and selling cubic zirconia at the cost of a diamond then – rather than correcting their wrong – offering an infinitesimal penance compared to the amount wrongfully acquired – it is insidious and unethical.  Further speaking to their unethical behavior is the statement by their lawyer, Mr. K[redacted], herein, in which he indicates that I said “the vehicle was ready on May [redacted].”  I never stated that the car was ready – It was actually [redacted] who sent me an email indicating the car was ready on May [redacted], however, as Mr. K[redacted] is well aware, Nissan's testing of the car on May [redacted] revealed that the car still vibrates at 65 MPH, an issue of disrepair that remains today (the 5/*/17, 3:12pm email from [redacted] confirming this fact is in Mr. K[redacted] possession). The fact that even the dealership’s lawyer misrepresents the facts within his possession, is further evidence of a culture of unethical behavior throughout Rockaway Nissan.  The facts presented, the misrepresentation herein by Rockaway Nissan’s attorney, as well as the written testimonies of others regarding Rockaway Nissan, bear witness to a consistent trend of unscrupulous and unethical practices at Rockaway Nissan. The issues at hand remain unresolved by Rockaway Nissan.
