Not dependable. Did not deliver dumpster as ordered on two separate occasions. Even worse credit card was billed when no service received.

We made arrangements to lease a dumpster to [redacted] at her request via telephone on 6/5/2017. On the phone and in a confirmation email that was sent to [redacted] at 9:51am on 6/5/2017 it was explained that payment was required based on the total weight of the materials the cardholder placed...

Such payment terms are standard in the container rental business and are fair since we have a cost for waste disposal at the landfill based on weight.[redacted] made the required initial payment of $523.50. This payment covers the delivery of the dumpster and removal of up to 2.50 tons of waste. Any additional weight is billed at $69/ton, as explained on our website, on the phone, and in the confirmation email.After the container was picked up from your cardholder, the materials in the container were weighed as this is standard practice for roll-off dumpsters. It was determined that the weight of the materials in the dumpster was 4.02 tons. While [redacted] disagrees with this weight, please understand the landfill is owned by an unrelated party, [redacted], and uses scales regulated by the Bureau of Weights & Measures.[redacted] states that the dumpster arrived later than she wished. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery times due to a host of factors including traffic, service requests of other customers, truck maintenance, and 3rd party landfill operations. In fact, we go out of our way to inform customers to have dumpsters delivered the day before starting any project if timing is an issue.We work tirelessly to earn our customers' trust, and understand this is a very frustrating experience for [redacted]. In regards to [redacted]'s Statement of the Problem, her request that the charge be placed on a different credit card was honored and we refunded her card immediately. Our merchant processor, [redacted], releases the funds immediately as well. It may be [redacted]’s bank’s policy to not refund her...

I am rejecting this response because:: It is a fraudulent/wrong document.  I was told by Roll Off Dumpster Direct that they were using a landfill in New Jersey by Ms K[redacted].  Then I receive the requested proof of overweight document that is dated for October 25, 2016 @ 10:26am.  I already sent a copy of this incorrect document to my credit company but there is no way that my dumpster was at the landfill at 10:26am when in actuality the dumpster was still in front of my residence at 6:00pm on Oct 25.  The invoice also says it is billed to [redacted] to which I was not aware.  They have numerous complaints for the same deceptive practices that I am complaining about.  I chose Roll Off Dumpster Direct because they were recommended by Angie's List.  In reality it should have stated [redacted] dba Roll Off Dumpster Direct.  They took another dumpster to the(so called) landfill in NJ and are charging me for their weight.  RODD claims that they tape every call, please ask them for a transcript/copy of the telephone conversation on Oct 26, 2016 with a Ms K[redacted] who verbatim asked,"let me check with dispatch about the removal of your dumpster--- then comes back and says what time did you state the dumpster was still there"? I, stated that it was 6:00pm and it was still there and she responded, "dispatch says it was picked up after 6:00pm and we will send you a receipt.  This conversation happened on October 26, 2016 at 3:14pm.  I called them because I had already left several messages the evening of the 25th with no response

Please keep in mind a tarp sits over the debris while the dumpster is on the truck. It is possible a small amount of water may have gotten in the dumpster. However, please understand that had the dumpster sat on [redacted]'s property overnight, the same amount of rain, if not more (no tarp), would have been in the dumpster. Unfortunately, dispatch cannot factor in acts of nature such as rain when scheduling deliveries and removals. Dispatch acts in best faith to deliver and remove all dumpsters as quickly as possible, rain or shine.We promise no harm was meant to [redacted] is any way. We have no further information to provide in regards to the letter sent to us by the Revdex.com dated 8/17/2017.Andrea U.

Nothing has been done...have you checked into them at all?

We regret [redacted] poor experience with our service. Furthermore, we recognize that rental dumpster pricing can be confusing because the ultimate cost of a dumpster rentalcan vary greatly based on weight in the dumpster as well as rental length. We make every attempt to clearly communicate...

these factors to our customers. To that end, we always explain the charges on the phone as well as in order confirmations send via email. In [redacted] specific case, there were indeed additional charges upon dumpster removal based on the weight of materials placed in the dumpster and extended rental time. We believe these charges, while valid and fair, are the basis of [redacted] frustration with our service. We will do everything in our power to improve communication with our future customers, the lifeblood of our service based company.

Review: I specifically told this company I did NOT want the second dumpster charged to the original payment method and I gave them a different card to charge. They charged the card AND debited my bank account via [redacted]. They want to refund the amount to [redacted] now, but it will take several days to get back to my bank account during which time I will not have access to the money and will be incurring overdraft and returned/declined payment fees.Desired Settlement: I have reported this to my bank as an unauthorized charge and may be able to resolve this through my bank. Otherwise I expect to be refunded for the original charge and any and all overdraft/declined payment fees that are associated with them having run this unauthorized charge.

Review: Roll Off Dumpster Direct advertised that they serviced [redacted], NC. I contacted them on 15 Aug 2013 and entered into an agreement for a dumpster to be delivered on a certain date and paid the fee. I was contacted the next day and advised that for them to deliver a dumpster, they would have to charge me an additional $240. They were not willing to deliver without the additional fee. The advertisment was false as to where they would deliver unless I would pay the additional money. They did refund my money however it put me into a bind for the service needed and the date I needed the dumspter.Desired Settlement: Remove there service location if they can't fulfill the agreement.

We made arrangements to lease a dumpster to [redacted] at his request. As [redacted] claims in his complaint, we did discover a pricing error with our vendor and as such we required an additional $240.00 to deliver his dumpster. The additional fee was due to the very long driving distance required to place the dumpster. We have corrected our pricing structure and we genuinely apologize for the error. We immediately refunded [redacted]’s credit card and we feel we operated in nothing but good faith.

Review: Given intial permission to remove 1 payment from a credit card for the use of a dumpster for 650.00. Then they proceeded and came back and took off and additional $2200.00. for what they call overfilling of the dumpster. They stated that they had a recoreded conversation with the secretary the terms and conditions for renting the dumpster in which the conversation never happened. They never notified me of applying any second charge taken off my credit cardDesired Settlement: $2200.00

On our website (www.rolloffdumpsterdirect.com), on the phone, and in a confirmation email (see attached email sent to [redacted], dated 8/6/2013 10:25am) it was explained that payment was required based on the total weight of the materials the cardholder placed in the container. Such payment terms are standard in the container rental business and are fair since we have a cost for waste disposal based on weight.

The customer made the required initial payment of $524.00. This payment covers the delivery of the dumpster and removal of up to 3.50 tons of waste. Any additional weight is billed at $84/ton, as explained on our website, on the phone, and in the confirmation email.

After the container was picked up from the customer, the materials in the container were weighed as this is standard practice for roll-off dumpsters. It was determined that the weight of the materials in the dumpster was 29.78 tons. This is an extremely heavy load and only possible if the container is loaded with some combination of dirt, gravel, concrete, or asphalt. However, our charges remain valid.

It would be unfair, in violation of the terms of this lease transaction and an unjust enrichment to our customer, if she does not pay for disposing of all the material she placed into the container. The benefit received triggers the payment of $2165.52 (25.78 tons * $84/ton). We have not in any way overcharged [redacted].
