Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[Be advised that many people are disgusted by this business' policy of trying to obtain a month of payment by first offering only a three day initial offer. This is shoddy business practice and does not lend to repeat business. The internet is full of complaints regarding Roomster's lousy website as well as their poor policies. Obviously, this company is "fly by night" if they don't try to work with customers. I ONLY agreed to a three day trial and now I will never give a debit card number out again. If this matter isn't resolved I will not only blogg about this company on numerous sites, but I will also contact many other people in authority if this is not resolved by the Revdex.com serving as a mediator. I have owned a business and I know that this is not the way to promote repeat business. An initial offer should not be negated by their trying to catch your money by reading all of their web site details. To me an upfront offer is an up front offer. Period. Any good business wants to keep your loyalty, obviously Roomster has major issues and doesn't care about promoting customer loyalty. Most companies that conduct business this way are only offering very, very poor service/services.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

To whom it may concern: We have received a Revdex.com complaint letter from the [redacted]. We have found his account. He has never contacted the Helpdesk about any issue. Had he contacted the Helpdesk we would have assisted him with the issue. Also If person thinks that someone is a scam...

Revdex.com:I appreciate that the business has responded and refunded the amount, but according to the dates and times given, the services were charged before the 72 hour mark-- 2 days, 13 hours, 22 minutes. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,

{text-decoration: underline} To Whom It May Concern: We received a Revdex.com customer complaint letter from [redacted]. Customer made in-app purchase. Customer purchased a subscription through the Apple, not through us. We do not have his credit card on file. He deleted his Roomster account and didn’t cancel his subscription. Had he canceled his subscription at his Apple account, Apple would have stop charging him. [redacted] Special Cancellation Instructions for Mobile Application Users. If you sign up and pay for a Full Subscription using a third party service through which you have downloaded one of our mobile applications, e.g., the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (each, a “Third Party App Store”), your payment will be processed by the Third Party App Store through which you downloaded the mobile application and you must cancel your Service subscription through the applicable Third Party App Store. When he created a new Roomser account and contacted Helpdesk, account representative explained to him how to cancel subscription to prevent future billing and we transferred the subscription from his deleted account to a new one. We consider this matter is closed and waist of Revdex.com’s time
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
This seems to be a constant trend among your site. 141 files charged against you on Revdex.com, 35,351 complaints on Complaints board, and the first thing I see when I look up your founder and CEO John S S[redacted] is "Criminal billing practices". It is a shame this site is still up! Your business is rated terribly for your services and has been filed against countless times for this same issue and I find it hard to believe every customer is just blind to these "obvious" subscription renewals. I feel like your blaming your customers for you taking money out of our pockets. All that I am asking for is my refund. As a dissatisfied customer with your website and your customer service. I deserve that much. I feel that if your subscription was so obvious as you make it out to be. Then I would not be having to go through all of this. None of the other customers who asked for refunds would have had to go through this. It seems that it would not have mattered if I canceled it or not you would have still charged me. I can pull up plenty of cases filed against where that has happened. This matter is still not closed until I get my money back. I don't wish to invest ANY of my money into this business. This is absolutely outrageous that I have to go through all this. It's my money and you're being combative and rude by sending me the same thing as if you're actually solving anything. This is a small settlement and you're being disobliging and not to mention you've shown me no courtesy with your dismissive replies. No wonder you've been discredited as a business. You have no intention of having this matter resolved. And I will not be done with this issue until I get my money back. If you continue to refuse I will make it my job to take matters further because this is ridiculous. I am already processing a case on pay pal as well as reported your site on there. I will escalate this matter by filing complaints to FTC, internet crime complaint, and [redacted] to have you shut down. If you continue to be negligent about my refund, I will have no choice but to take these procedures to getting your site shut down. Because I have never seen a business so criminal! In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved. As a former Business Associate of Channel 11 in Dallas's Imvestigative News Team, and having organized and launched a very successful Fraud Team that worked closely with the Attorney General's Office...I do hereby notify the Revdex.com that Roomster's is No Longer A Viable Company. The phone number is now a prank voicemail that cant bt responded to...Roomster's FRAUDULENT USAGE OF THE TERM "TRIAL", COMBINED WITH THE FAILURE TO SEND A RECEIPT FOR THE AUTOMATIC SWITCH TO A MONTHLY CHARGE, CLEARLY DEFINES THEIR DEVIANT ACTIONS AS "BAIT AND SWITCH", WHERE FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING IS USED AS A GIMMICK TO RUSE AND EVOKE THE CONSUMER'S TRUST, AND SINCE ROOMSTER'S PERSISTENTLY FAILS TO SEND ANY OR ALL CONSUMER'S A RECEIPT FOR THE SWITCH FROM "TRIAL" TO MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP, AND FINALLY, 3 DAYS FOR A "TRIAL" OFFER IS NOT USUAL, CUSTOMARY, NOR IS IT CONSIDERED FAIR. TRIAL MEMBERSHIPS ARE USUALLY FOR 1 MONTH ([redacted]. THE ADS SELECTED WERE IN A SPECIFIC CITY. NONE OF THE RESPONDENTS CONTACTED ME FROM THAT CITY. THE PERIMITERS PAGE WAS CONVOLUTED AND CHANGEABLE. IF ANYONE FROM THE DESIGNATED AREAS WOULD RESPOND IMMEDIATELY WITHIN 3 DAYS, AND ROOMSTER'S REPLIED WITH AN INVOICE EMAIL-RECEIPT, THERE WOULD BE NO VIOLATION TO SPEAK OF-AND OF COURSE, THE PHONE # WAS IN WORKING ORDER. THEY (CS) PROMISED WITH EACH EMAIL TO RESPOND WITHIN A TIME FRAME, AND THEY FAILED TO DO THAT PERSISTENTLY AS WELL. DUE TO THE MISSPELLINGS AND POOR GRAMMER, I AM INCLINED TO BELIEVE THEY ARE FOREIGN, LACK ANY UNDERSTANDING OF CONSUMER LAW (BAIT AND SWITCH IS UNDERSTOOD UNIVERSALLY IN THE U.S. I HEREBY NOTIFY ROOMSTER'S THAT SURROUNDING BUSINESSES TO THEIR ADDRESS WILL BE NOTIFIED TO VERIFY THEIR EXISTENCE TO THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS LISTED, AND BOTH THE ATTY GENERAL AND INTERPOL WILL INVESTIGATE THEIR ADDRESS IN THE UK. I BOLDLY ASSERT THE ASSETS CAPTURED BY ROOMSTER'S IS TAINTED BY FRAUD, AND LAUNDERED BEFORE IT ARRIVES TO THE UK. A LENGTHY REPORT WITH ALL ADDRESSES, PHONE NUMBERS, AND EMAILS WILL BE FORWARDED, WHICH REFLECT "NO RESPONSE" FROM ROOMSTER'S AND "NO BUSINESS RECEIPT" OF THE 2ND TRANSACTION. MY BANK HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND IS ADVISING ME TO REPLACE MY CARD, DUE TO FRAUD...AND, I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING 500+ FRAUDULENT SPAM EMAILS WITH FALSE ADDRESSES (WHEN GOOGLED) REFLECT A UPS P.O. BOX. I BELIEVE THEY ARE INFORMATION BROKERS ALSO, AND EXPLOIT CONSUMERS IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. SINCERELY,[redacted]PATTERN ANALYST/SUBVERSION SPECIALIST

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
My complaint is the fact that Roomster is unsuccessful in stopping the abuses of your Affiliates on [redacted]. There is only so much [redacted] can do to limit your Affiliate’s spam mail, such as by having users flag them, and blocking terms, such as ‘Roomster.’ It’s a matter of opinion whether Roomster is doing enough to stop these abuses, but I suspect that this problem has to do with Roomster’s business model. I haven’t encountered any other roommate matching business soliciting fake ads on [redacted], yet out of 15 roommate ads that I responded to, I was contacted 4 times by phone text message or e-mail with fake roommate links to Roomster.
You mentioned that this type of issue is a waste of time for the Revdex.com. Yet, Revdex.com has a specific category on complaints for ‘Advertising Issues’. I’m not the first person to bring up this same complaint on advertising against Roomster with the Revdex.com. Let’s hope I’m the last one to do so and that Roomster can stop wasting the time of potentially thousands, tens of thousands, or more individuals seeking shared housing annually on [redacted].
