I am writing to you today in regards to the above mentioned consumer/ complaint ID#***We did contact Ms*** with regards to a past due debt that our office purchased back in September Ms*** verbally disputed this debt because the address on the file did not matchWe asked Ms
*** if she knew anyone at any of those addresses, that perhaps some one had committed identify theftShe became very agitated and would only insist that she was not responsible for the debtHer file has been placed in a dispute status and has been forwarded back to the broker in a closed statusThank you, MsKayla T

I am writing in response to the above mentioned consumer and complaint ID #.We did attempt to contact Mr*** regarding a past due debt that was opened using his name and social security numberThe attempts to reach Mr*** included a phone call to his brother, whom Mr*** listed as a
reference on the application for creditWe did explain that this was a personal matterMr***’s father came onto the phone and explained that he handled all of Mr***’s financial issues and was serving as power of attorney. Our representative never claimed to be calling from a law firmWe advised that we do purchase the debts with the intent to liquidate or pursue judgementWe NEVER mentioned anything about his Homer Owner’s AssociationThe topic of discussion was solely the debt that Mr*** opened, used and neglected to satisfyMr*** claims that this is not his debtHowever, we never received any type of dispute notification in response to the dunning letter that was sent to his home address on 6/15/2016.The dates Mr*** quoted in his complaint do not prove that this debt was not opened after his employment at *** *** endedWe purchase all of our debts from a reliable broker and have not had any issues in the past with questionable open or charge off dates. As a courtesy to Mr***, his file has been placed in a dispute status and all contact information has been removed from the file.Thank you for your timeSincerely,MsKayla T

To whom it may concern, I am writing to you in regards to the above mentioned complaint ID#/Consumer We did indeed contact Ms*** with regards to a debt that was purchased by our office on 7/25/We advised Ms*** when we spoke that we were able to provide her with the bank
name, routing number, account number and date that the funds were direct deposited toUnfortunately, that is the only information provided to us, besides the consumer’s name, address, telephone number and social security numberShe stated she wanted to her own research and get back in touch with us, which we agreed toThe reason the loan was for $and the payback amount was $is because it was a “payday” or “quick cash” loanThese loans have a high interest rateAs soon as Ms*** emailed us back with the findings of her own research, we put her file into a dispute status and removed all contact informationIf there are any additional questions or information required, please let us knowThank you, MsKayla T

I am writing to you in regards to the above listed complaint ID *** and consumer. We did contact Mr*** on 5/31/regarding a past due debtOur office does obtain these debts to either collect the past due balance in manner that is amicable to both parties or refer it for
possible judgementHowever, we did not portray ourselves as a law officeIn fact we did advise him that the representative he first spoke with was NOT an attorney and the supervisor he spoke with was the director of operations. Mr*** never informed us that this matter had allegedly already been paidIf he had, we would have taken steps to ensure that the file was closed out properlyInstead he simply advised us that he had no intentions of handling the matter. At the consumer’s request all contact information has been removed from the file and he will not receive any further contact from our office. Please advise us if there is anything else required

1/4/2016Re: *** *** complaint ID #***Dear *** *** *** or whom it may concern,I am writing in response to the above listed complaint ID number. First, my apologies for the delay in response, we received both complaints (dated 12/17/and 12/31/2015) just todayOur office
was closed for the holiday week. We contacted Mrs*** husband in regards to a debt of his that was placed in our officeMrs*** said she handled all matters and we did not have the opportunity to speak directly with Mr*** at any timeMrs*** asked we send information to her email address, which we didThere were two account numbers because there were two accountsThere was a *** ending in *** and a *** card ending in ***We sent her the balance letter on the *** to which she stated she had paperwork showing it was paidWe asked her to send in proof that it had been paid, which we never did receiveWe then offered her a settlement on the *** card ending in ***Shortly after sending her the documentation regarding the *** settlement, Mrs*** emailed us back and accused us of being a fraudulent company and of trying to scam herShe requested that we did not contact them againPer the FDCPA, this was considered a written cease & desist notification and all points of contact were removed from Mr*** fileShe sent us one additional email after that; to which we did not respond. As for her allegation that we have been trying to contact her daughter, that is completely falseIn fact, there has been absolutely no activity at all on that file since 12/15/2015.If you require any further information, please feel free to contact me.Thank you,*** *** ***

9/24/2015RE: Complaint ID# ***, *** whom it may concern, I am writing to you again in regards to the above listed complaint. In the complaint we received from the Attorney General’s office, there were pages of online complaintsIt had appeared that Ms*** “Googled” a phone number, which is NOT affiliated with our officeAll pages that were forwarded to us with her complaint, show that the phone number came back to * . She also stated in regards to our response “take note that there is no phone number to contact them at only a fax!”I have again attached a copy of the signed settlement agreement which clearly shows a phone number in the bottom paragraph that was a direct line to her representative(which she circled when she forwarded it to the Attorney General’s office). Again, please let me know if you need anything else.Thank you for your timeMs*** ***

this debt is from it was settled in why am I being contacted in for payment

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Regards,
*** *** In response to the company that replied to my complaint I am calling them a liar No one ever faxed a copy of anything to prove they were a legit company I was emailed a copy of letter head that proved nothing I am very angered with this response as I did everything possible except give them a credit card number to pay a debt I never created When I refused to give my credit card number the man was angered and yelled at me saying see you in court *** *** I will pay the debt when they can provide me with a statement of all charges and proof that I owe this money This company is horrible with customer service I was nice to these people and was dumb founded by their complaint that I owe money to a credit card I never opened and didnt understand why they are now just calling many years later Please provide me with the proof and transactions Until then I guess I will see you in court

Ross Wright GroupPO Box 385Lockport, NY 14095FAX: 1-866-812-0592***RE: *** ***, Complaint ID#: ***Dear Sir or Madam,I have read the complaint filed by Ms*** *** on 6/11/and concluded the following: Ms*** was contacted by our in early June
regarding a past due account she has with *** ***, formally *** *** ***Ms*** was informed that the debt was severely past due and we were willing to help her rectify the situation before any further collection activity was Initiated. Ms*** states that we hung llP on her when she requested informationWe provided her with our company name and mailing address and she already had our phone numberShe was dis-satisfied with that information and kept calling backWe advised her if she wanted to have her attorney contact us that would be fine but she was still dis-satisfied. Ms *** also stated that we have been doing this for monthsThis is not possible seeing as this file was just placed with our office on 6/4/It has been with our office for less than month,In an attempt to rectify Ms*** complaint, we have placed her file into a protected statusCollection activity has ceased and she will not receive any further calls from our office. Please feel free to contact us with any further qllestions or concerns.Sincerely,MsKayla T***

I am writing to you in regards the above mentioned complaint ID # and consumerWe did speak with Ms*** in regards to a *** bank account that was purchased by our officeOur representative advised Ms*** that we were unable to provide her with statements regarding the debtHe advised her
that the only information we had access to was the information provided by our broker which included the original credit grantor, original account number, open and charge off dates and the current balanceShe agreed to that information being sent and it was provided to her immediatelyI’m sorry Ms*** believes that we are a scam, as I can assure you that we are notWe did, indeed, pur*** this debt from a reliable broker and advised her of her right to dispute this matter at the time of contact and if it was pursued for judgementWe will be happy to refund Ms*** payment of $Because she has closed down the card we used to process the payment, the process of releasing a refund check will take between 7-business daysHowever, Ms*** should be aware that she is still responsible for the full balance on the accountWe will return this file to our broker as a dispute, but we cannot guarantee that the file will not be resold through the broker, nor can we guarantee that a future agency will not pursue collection effortsPlease advise us if any additional information is requiredThank you, MsKayla T

I am again writing to you in regards to complaint ID #***I have read Mrs*** reply to our first response and have taken it to my superiorsShe has acknowledged the debt and stated that per her research it has already been paidHad she advised us of that in our first conversation, we would have been happy to close it out and send it back to our broker as “PAID”This entire situation could have been avoidedWe would never ask a consumer to pay a debt that has already been taken care ofIf the debt was sold in error, it is easily fixed. The file is now closed in our officeThe ***’s will not receive any further contact from our office and, now that we have been made aware that it has already been paid, all collection activity has been ceasedThe ***'s have already charged back this paymentThey claimed to their bank it was fraud and their bank disputed the charge on their behalf. We did not fight the reversal of payment. Therefore, they have already received their money backThank you, Kayla T

Ms*** was contacted by our office in July in regards to a past due debt that we now ownMs*** was willing to handle the matter in our office and completed her payments on 8/19/(less than days ago)On 8/19/all documents pertaining to her in house settlement were sent to her via
the United States Postal ServiceOn the cover letter of these documents we advised her that once they were signed and returned to us she would receive her paid in full letterThe documents were sent to the address we have on file, which is the same address listed in her complaint, minus the apartment number which was never provided to usAs of today, 8/29/no return mail has been receivedOn 8/23/Ms*** contacted NOT US, but our payment processing company, to advise us that the mail was never receivedAt that time she provided an email address and requested the documents be sent there insteadOn 8/23/2016, an email was sent to Ms*** using *** *** ***She was again asked to sign and return these documentsAs of today, 8/29/216, our records indicate they have not been returnedI am resending these documents to her today to the email address that she provided on 8/23/2016, which also matches the email address on her complaintBecause we own the debt, we will not update to the original credit grantorHowever, we do report to all three major credit reporting agenciesThis process has already been initiatedPlease feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concernsThank you, MsKayla T

Ross Wright GroupPO Box 385Lockport, NY 14095FAX: [email protected]/24/2015RE: Complaint ID# *** *** ***Dear *** *** *** or whom it may concern,I am writing to you regarding the above listed complaint received in my office, 9/24/Our office did
contact Ms*** on 9/11/regarding a past due account with *** ***I am a bit confused by a few of Ms***’s statementsFirst, she stated she spoke with me, Kayla T***I work strictly in the administration offices and do not speak directly with consumers via the telephone. She spoke with a female representative in my office but it was defiantly not meShe more than likely saw my name on any written correspondence because I do sign off on all settlementsThis could be why when she called back the representative who answered the phone was unfamiliar with my name as I do not work directly with most of them.Ms*** also stated in her complaint that she advised our office that she never had a debt with *** bankHowever, when she spoke with our office on 9/11/she did acknowledge the debt and asked why they had waited so long to contact herThe reason *** *** would have nothing on file regarding this debt is because it has been sold twice since charging offMost banks archive their bad debts and once it is sold, the information is no longer accessible to their customer care representatives. When Ms*** contacted our office back demanding a refund and claiming that our company is a scam, she was yelling and was belligerentOur representative tried to advise her that we are not are scam and did, indeed, purchase the debt from a reliable brokerShe did not want to listen to anything our representative had to sayOur representative advised her we would refund the money but collection activity would ensueWhen Ms*** continued to yell, the call was terminated. I have attached a copy of the return transaction receipt (please note the refund was complete before she filed this complaint) and all of Ms*** contact information has been removed from the fileIam sorry she feels we are a scam, but it is simply not trueI apologize for any inconvenience this has caused her.Thank you for your time,MsKayla T***

Ross Wright GroupPO Box 385Lockport, NY 14095FAX: [email protected] 24, 2016RE: Complaint ID #*** *** ***Dea* *** *** *** or whom it may concern,I am writing to you in regards to the above listed consumer and complaint ID #.*** I have read
Ms***’ complaint and desired settlement and I am a bit confused.Yes, she was contacted with regards to a past due debt which she acknowledged and agreed to rectify. She verbally agreed to a reduced balance settlement and then provided us with an email address ***) so that we may send her everything in writingWe sent her a copy of the settlement agreement, a payment authorization form, a copy of the E-sign Act, an electronic disclosure & consent form and a copy of our refund policyThese documents were sent to the email address provided via *** *** signMs*** then signed and returned these documents giving us permission to process a payment for the settlement amount(I have attached a copy of signed documents.) Her desired settlement states she wants a refundIf that is still true, we are happy to refund the settlement amountHowever, this does make her settlement payment null and void and the full balance will be pursuedAlso, as stated above, Ms*** was provided a copy of our refund policy, which she signed and returned to usShe never contacted us either verbally or in writing requested any type of refund or to advise that there was any sort of an issue.Thank you for your time.MsKayla T***

To whom it may concern,I am writing to you today regarding the above mentioned complaint id#.We attempted to contact Ms*** *** regarding a past due debt we received in our office. We only attempted to reach her ONCEUnfortunately, we were never able to speak directlywith Ms***On
11/23/2016, a man identifying himself as Ms*** spouse called ourofficeHe stated that his father in law did this and he did not believe that Ms*** wasresponsibleAt that time we closed the account out as possible fraud and contact informationwas removed from the fileOn 11/28/2016, Mr*** contacted our office again, unprovoked, asking us if we had filed a judgement against his wifeHe was advised there wasnothing filed and the file had been closed outHe was vulgar towards our femalerepresentative and the call was terminated. We have NEVER spoken to Ms***We have NEVER threatened to have her “locked up andput in jail” as Mr*** claimsI do apologize that Mr*** obviously misunderstoodany part of the conversation that he was a part ofBoth of the representatives he spoke withare seasoned collectors and have never had any type of complaints or disciplinary actions takenagainst themUpon review of the telephone call recordings, they did nothing wrong or in anyway violated the FDCPA.Again, this file has already been closed out as a possible fraud account and all contactinformation has been deleted.Thank you for time.Sincerely,MsKayla T***

I am writing to you today regarding the above listed complaint ID # and consumer. Ms*** had worked with our office from July through April to pay off a past due *** *** credit cardThe terms of Ms***’s arrangement had been met and we are showing her file as closed,
paid in full and updated I don’t know who this other agency is that is contacting Ms***, but they are trying to collect on an account that A) Is already paid and B) They have no right to be collecting on. This debt was purchased by our company back in July and we still own all rights this debt. We never resell residual balance debtsOnce a consumer pays off a settlement with our office, the balance is reduced to $and is archived. If this other “agency” is advising Ms*** that *** *** is not paid, they are lying and attempting to defraud Ms***. *** *** no longer owns this debt and we have already taken the steps to ensure that Ms. ***’s credit report is accurately showing this account as paid in full. If you require any additional information please let us knowIf Ms*** has any further questions for me she can contact me at ***@***.com. Thank you, MsKayla T
