January 6th I dropped off my vehicle at Rubes auto in the presence of employees stating that I was experiencing the following issues:
1) Coolant Loss of 1-inches in the reservoir and loss of heat within a few days even after topping off the coolantI had added a UV dye but was unable to locate a leak myselfI requested a head gasket test be performed (compression test / test for combustion byproducts in the coolant via chemical marker kit)
2) Oil visibly dripping onto the exhaust and burning off
I had requested an estimate to be given before work performed as although I have an extended warranty I purchased the deductible is quite high at $and if the repair was minor I wanted to bring it elsewhere to get it performed faster since they were shorthanded
January 8th I called, no estimate
January 12th Spoke to Clayton, no estimateHe stated that the deductible / warranty was the reason they weren’t getting to it in a timely fashionI informed him that I’m losing hu

On October 31, *** purchased a Jeep Grand CherokeeUpon purchase of the vehicle and signing paperwork, he signed A Buyers Guide, which stated he purchased the vehicle "No Warranty." At the time of purchase we were
asking $He offered over the phone $7,and would bring a cashiers check for that amountUpon coming and looking at the car he offered $due to some discrepancies on the Jeep, and would take care of those discrepancies on his ownRubes Auto will not be paying for anything to be fixed on the Jeep Grand Cherokee

**Revdex.com NOTE: As initially submitted, complaint included the text of a Dec complaint from another consumer, published on Revdex.com.org -- was about failure to pay off trade on a Mercury MilanThis is the vehicle Mr *** references in complaint below -- wanted Rube's Auto to know that he is aware of this previous payoff dispute / historyFor clarity, have redacted the text of that previous complaint.**We purchased this same vehicle, { vehicle color black} and found they lied about the condition of the vehicle, ( HAD sugar in the gas tank..) and it has cost us over $to repair this car to even make it over a hill they have yet to send us the title, mentioning a lien issue.( see above complaint)we purchased in February, and as of this date, no title..we want Rubes to take this car back, give us the money we paid for it, and reimburse us for the repairs made to itThis dealership has scammers written all over itRead: Rubes! They should be put out of business

Upon the purchase of this vehicle, the customer had written us a checkThen called after the purchase and asked us to hold the check for a weekAt that time, we did not transfer right away as we were making sure the funds from the check
would clear our bank and it would not come back NSFUpon the customer calling us prior to the letter/complaint, the transfer was completed and the tabs were mailed to the customerAlso the titles are sent to the customers from the State of Minnesota and as of January 7, the state shows that the title has been mailed to the customer as well

Rubes Auto had taken this vehicle in on trade, when we received the payoff amount from the customer, he told the finance company that he mailed them a payment and to take that off of the amount, finance company stated to call back in 7-
business days for accurate payoff information, being that he stated he sent a paymentWe called the 7th day and stated they had not received the payment and to call back the 10th day, we did as they asked, and at that time they still had not received the payment and we received a day payoff at that timeThe check was mailed the next business day to the finance companyAs of December 17, 2015, the payoff check has cleared Rubes Auto's bank account, and we still have not received the lien release

We needed to replace my wife's carWe didnt have down paymentBut we had her old carThey took the old car as a down payment and helped us get into a much better carThey repaired all the issues we pointed out and also fixed a problem that popped up in the first daysThey provided a loaner car and picked up and delivered the car we purchasedThe customer service has been wonderful

We purchased a Subaru Impreza from Rubes Auto in Mora, MN on September 30, We still have not received the title and are unable to get tabs for the vehicle despite numerous contact attempts with Rubes We contacted them in January letting them know we had not received title and their response was due to the MNLARS system it was delayed but they reassured us they filed all the correct paperwork with the StateWe contacted them again in March of and were given the same info but reassured that by the time the tabs were due we would have the titleThe tabs are due in June On May 29,I went to the local DMV office and said I needed tabs but had not received thee title The DMV informed that the dealership had not transferred title The said the could see where the dealership applied for a replacement tile in August and then again in October 2017, but they did not put in a 'dealer conditional transfer'That day I contact Tyler (Rubes owner) and he apologie

Not having received response to date, Revdex.com called Rube's Auto to get business response -- spoke to Joe, Sales Manager. Joe says Mr *** initially came in about needed repairs to his travehicle, which proved to be quite extensiveHe says Rube's Auto performed some repairs, but that Mr
*** could not afford the full extent of necessary repairs, and indicated he wanted to trade the vehicle in on something elseAs Mr *** had not paid the repair bill on his trade-in, Rube's opted to put a mechanic's lien on the Aviator(Joe says owner Tyler *** was handling this aspect of Mr ***'s situation, and he is not As for the condition of the Aviator, Joe indicates that although the vehicle was purchased "as is" under Minnesota Used Car Warranty Law, Rube's Auto was willing to inspect the vehicle and potentially work with Mr *** on repairsHe says Mr *** actually set an appointment with Rube's to bring the vehicle in, but subsequently cancelled that appointment to have a facial tattoo doneHe says the owner of Rube's Auto, Tyler Rubin, has interacted with Mr *** on a number of occasions and attempted to get him to bring the vehicle in for inspection, but Mr *** has declined each time, citing various reasons for not being able to stop in with the vehicleJoe adds that Mr *** has been challenging to work with throughout this process, becoming combative with staff and using profanity in front of customers, which has made Rube's Auto less inclined to work with him, or have him back into the businessJoe says that at this point, Rube's Auto will not be able to assist *** further

Purchased a vehicle from Rubes auto on 6/25/I have not received a transferred title as of 5/31/

I purchased a used vehicle from rubes auto in Mora MNThere was a repair contract agreement that is documented with the purchaseThe vehicle was picked up and exchanged with a loaner car weeks after the purchase to do the repairsThe loaner car had a tire that would not hold air and the battery would not hold a charge to start the vehicleThe loaner car was exchanged with a replacement, The Windows where left open on the replacement loaner car before it was delivered and the car has a bad mold issueThis has resulted in a sick childMy family is stuck with this after our new vehicle has been in the shop for over weeksI have contacted Rubes auto many times and they have not resolved this issue

I have had the WORST experience with this businessOn 8/13/i traded in my vehicle, and purchased a newer used vehicle from Rubes Auto in MoraWe estimated my payoff amount for my existing loan at $5,and was informed by finance person to call soon with day payoff amountTurns out, my payoff amount was close to $less than what they estimated and rolled into my new loanShe informed me that they would sent the amount in, and whatever was the balance would be reimbursed by that loan companyThe problem is, they waited weeks to payoff my loan and sent in EXACTLY what I told them my payoff wasMeaning, they ROBBED me of the $they overcharged me when I traded in the car, and since they waited forever to pay off the loan, that payoff amount was no longer validSO here I am, still owing money on my previous car that I traded to them, and they swiped and pocketed the difference
On top of all this, the "day license" (yellow sticker from dealer in window) was

I have bought many vehicles in my life new and usedFrom dealers and private partiesRUBES auto of mora has been my best experience by far Professional, caring , helpful, great prices and they stand by their word and their vehiclesFamily orientated and very involved in the communityWith organizations charities just a true whole hearted business I recommend getting your next vehicle at RUBES auto of mora mn

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2015/09/23) */
The customer purchased the truck "NO WARRANTY" from Rubes Auto in JuneAs suggested with the complaint at the time, that a balance and rotate may fix the "bumpy" issueAs Discount Tire stated that they could not touch the tires due to
a safety issue, Rubes Auto contacted of their reputable tire stores that have been in business for over years, both stating that those tires that were on the truck at the time of purchase are rated fine for that truckThe truck can have a load-range D or load-range E tireThe load-range D tires that were on the truck were an ply tread tire which is required on a truck
As far as the automatic start being recalibrated, that was never offered to be done by Rubes at the time of saleRubes Auto contacted a chevy dealership and were told that it should be just a reprogram of the remote start to fix the issue, but never stated that it would be done for free

Response received via handwritten fax to Revdex.com, 3/30/-- scan is attached.Text reads as follows: "Upon purchasing the vehicle *** *** opted to purchase a service contract, which if need repairs there would be a $deductibleThe customer came in stating he needed a service contract
claim at that time we offered *** *** a service loaner which he stated he didn't needWe told him prior to leaving that the shop was booked but we would try to get it in, in a timely (manner)It was never stated that we weren't addressing the issue in a timely (manner) because of it being a service contract claimThe customer never stated he wanted a written estimate, he simply stated he needed it fixed because of being a work vehicleRube's Auto LLC fixed the vehicle @ deductible charge vehicle is on the road, customer never called to file complaint with usNo refund will be given to customer."

I am rejecting this response because:
Mr Rube himself gave me a warranty on the truck I purchased, motors later the truck stl did not run as promisedI called the bank myself and said I was no longer making any payments on the truck until kt was fixed, they in turn called rubes and stopped dokng any finance llans for tbem until my truck was running, at that point rubes tried to fix but cpuld not, the motor sounding like is was going to blow upI eventually talked with the bank again and they told .e to go ahead and find anotber truck and they would work with me on it, rubes auto cost me $5,when I sold just so I could be done with them once and for allThe scrappy llaner cars rubes let me use wers no better, blown tired, excessive fuel leak on one, power steering pump blew out on oneHis dealership is a nightmare to deal with, Tyler Rune promises the world to make a sale and it never happensHe sells nothing but junk and has cost me a lot of money to get rid of himNow that im thinking about again I am going to go file a law suit, he cannot be allowed to treat people like this and should be in jail
