Many missed services and ignoring request to cancel service
I was with Rubicon Global for weekly Dumpster service since 2018 If I called them they would set up a courtesy pickup on a day we were closed it is gated and we do not provide a key for security which was a condition of choosing to do business with them. I was told I would get a credit for missed services if I called within 24 hours of missed service but was never given service day. My first request to cancel was 11/2019 with no response I made manty request on the phone and in emails I finally cancelled debit card it was the only way to get results. I mostly called the local hauler and would be told they were coming, and they didn't I began contacting them because Rubicon was not solving my problem with missed service

Their drivers are rude and never completely empties out the trash bin. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I can not believe they are still rated A+ on this Revdex.com website. that says more about the Revdex.com than this company. If you have a choice, avoid Rubicon Global like you would Covid-19.

We tried to use Rubicon for trash collection. Rubicon did not collect our trash but still charged us for collection.
In early 2019, our company attempted to contract Rubicon to do our trash collection. They never came to our facility for collection and after many attempts to contact them and get service, we gave up and hired a different company. Rubicon then charged us for 3 months of service that they did not provide. We disputed the charges and they they stated that they would investigate our dispute. This is still an open dispute after at least 6 months - they routinely request payment. Most recently they stated that our dispute is invalid and they would be turning it over to collections - this appears to us to be an attempt to make us pay a bill we did not receive services for in order for them to go away.

Desired Outcome

We would like for Rubicon to discontinue contact with us and would like for them to honor the dispute and close out our account.

Along with the Rubicon's response on this site, a customer service representative called our office and assured us that there would be no further communication and the billing would be cleared. That is what we asked for and so we are satisfied.

Rubicon Double-Billed Us for 1 year then Charged us $894.87 for contract buyout when we refused to pay until billing was corrected.
Rubicon contacted us in Jan. 2019 and offered us a better cost for trash pickup for our business. We agreed to their buyout. The biggest issue we initially experienced was that our HOME trash service (serviced by the same company that had our BUSINESS service) quit picking up. It took us three weeks to get that straightened out. Other than home trash piling up, no big deal, right?
Wrong.

Everything seemed to be going okay. My business trash was picked up weekly and my home trash was back on schedule. Then in June, my credit card details needed to be updated. I went onto the customer portal and that was when I found that I was listed as having two locations for pickup: my business address AND my home address. To top it off, I was being billed for BOTH locations and was responsible for a delivery fee (beginning fee for service) at both locations. I contacted Rubicon and said that before I update my billing, I need this fixed. (I think this was left in a message.) A rep contacted me and pulled up my account and said that they don't do residential and he was unsure why I was being billed for residential. He said that he would get Billing involved and get this corrected. I said okay, but until it was resolved, I am not updating my payment information.
I heard nothing for over a month. Trash was being picked up but nobody called me.
One day, Josh (the rep I had originally spoke to) called and asked if I had heard from Billing. I told him no. He said that he was sorry and that they would reach out to me.
They never did.
Another month or so went by.
Josh called again. Again he asked if they reached out to me. Again I told him no. He then said that Billing was not very good about reaching out to people and others had issues with Billing not reaching out to them. He said that he would contact them again.
Now we are into/close to November. I had not paid a bill since May. Josh reached out to me again and again asked if Billing had sent any emails or called and I said that they had not. And that is the truth! Josh said that he would make a notation on my account and would reach out to them.
A couple of weeks later, the container was picked up.
Now, I kind of expected this to happen. I had no problem paying for the business trash, but I am not going to allow someone to double-bill me and at this point it was STILL happening. So I called my old trash service and they had a container in place two weeks later.
Josh then called me again. I explained to him that according to my customer portal, I had been double billed all year and that now they have picked up my container. I also explained that I had no problem with paying for the business address, but they needed to figure out what I had paid vs what I REALLY owed. I also did not violate the contract, THEY violated it by billing me twice every month, one for my business location and the other for a location they did not service. Because they could not/would not fix this, then they are responsible for any fees or contract violations. Josh said he understood and would let Billing know (at this point, I began to question if "Billing" even existed).
Fast forward to today (end of January 2020). Josh called saying that Billing said I owed over $1330. I said I wanted invoices of EVERYTHING including all my payment records. He said okay and emailed me some screen shots of some statement dates. Not exactly what I asked for. I then accessed the customer portal and my old credit card statements and pooled everything together. Not only was I billed for December (twice!), but they charged me a $894.87 customer buy-out fee. I called Josh and left a voice mail over this. He returned my call. I explained that Billing's idea of what I owed was vastly different than what I figured. I also explained the whole ordeal again and why I was not responsible for the customer buy-out fee.

Desired Outcome

Deduct the total amount already paid. Remove ALL the billing for the home address. Remove the December fee and customer buy-out fee.

Rubicon reached out and apologized for the issue. After discussing the issues, they reached the conclusion that I did not violate the contract therefore I was not responsible for the customer buy-out as well as the December payment along with with the residential pick-up (which never happened). They adjusted the bill accordingly and came up with the exact dollar amount I had also calculated.
In short, I paid for the services I had received, nothing more-nothing less.

READ THE OTHER REVIEWS, they all say the same thing. RUBICON GLOBAL, LLC is a joke of a company and over their heads when it comes to TRUE customer service. The "supervisors" hide and DO NOT return phone calls. I've called no less than 4 times today and was told that "A...." was going to call me back. She never did. When I went to the website to "contact us", the "expert" was named "RuBot". Are you kidding me? I too have the same story of missed pick ups, upset phone calls never returned, and 1 (800) GOT JUNK crawling through my two bins of overflowing trash cans in a visible alley. WAKE UP Rubicon. In this day and age, the difference in your services and those of your competitors, is CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I have used them for about 6 months. It was a good price and good terms so I was willing to try the service--especially knowing they were just middle men contracting out services to other local companies. In this case, they contracted recycling through Alpine Waste, a well-regarded local commercial waste company. However, about 6 weeks ago, we stopped getting pick ups even though we paid our bill. We had recycling stacking up. I called and emailed to resolve the issue and they did send out a 1-800-Got-Junk truck to pick up our recycling. I was told that service would then resume. However, we still didn't get pickups and once again recycling started piling up. It turns out Alpine Waste had stopped service as they weren't being paid. Rubicon Global LLC said it was a 'billing error' and now I am supposedly will get service again. We will see.

I don't understand how a company that's sole function is finding and paying third party companies to do waste and recycling can't pay invoices. That's seems like a huge miss.

I am only giving them 2 stars instead of 1 star as the service is still cheap compared to contracting directly with the other services. However, if it keeps up, I'll have no choice but to cancel my service and give them one star.

This company is a complete JOKE! They called me and solicited me to use their waste removal service. They promised me a seamless transition to their services with more pickups for less money. I cancelled my old dumpster, canceled my contract, and the company came and got my dumpster. Rubicon called me 5 days later after not having a dumpster and informed me they can't service the area. I verified with them 3 or 4 times over the 4 week process of cancelling and signing up with them that they were bringing me a dumpster the first week of november. They said yes everytime. Now I get to pay to resign up with my old company! Rubicon is the worst company. Just hang up if they call you because they are going to waste your time and money. Ironic they deal in garbage because thats what they are.

Tranferred service in August to new ownership group. They billed me for September and October anyway and refuse to answer phone to give refund.
Problem began August 15, 2019 when we received our invoice for September. I contacted them to advise of new ownership group (i.e. - new people paying). Instead they took the money from my checking account instead of new group. When I called them, they said they would refund. They not only have not refunded September, they have sent me a bill for October service. I tried Multiple times to e-mail the customer service team (well over 20 times) and have left multiple messages with the customer service team (at least 10 messages). We receive no response. When you call to speak to customer service, it goes straight to voicemail.

I am concerned that the one time I did talk to them and thought we had everything straightened out, they did not follow through on their stated actions. I am concerned that they do not respond to e-mail. I am concerned that they have not refunded money and I am concerned that they are not only still invoicing me, but, they are invoicing the new ownership group as well (i.e.- duplicate billing two different customers for the same service)

Desired Outcome

Simple resolution. Refund the September 2019 fee that was billed to us in error. Ensure that we are not being duplicate billed for the service that now belongs to the new ownership group (i.e. - cancel the October invoice that was billed to us in error)

Never received a dumpster. Can not get ANYONE to call back. Did not pay termination fee from other company.

I was contacted by Alexanne *** on June 10, 2019 with an initial sales call. This was followed up by Crystal *** on June, 13 at this time I went ahead into the service agreement with the understanding that we would be paying $188.00/month for service every other week, that our current dumpster service was being cancelled and to NOT contact them, Rubicon was to take care of it and the termination bill, Rubicon was supposed to have a dumpster delivered on June 24, 2019. The only thing that did happen was our dumpster was picked up from our current provider on June 23, 2019. Rubicon never delivered a dumpster. Rubicon did not pay our termination with Waste Management. Rubicon WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS OR EMAILS. I have called numerous times to customer service only to be told that they don't know why we don't have a dumpster here and they will have someone call me back. I have sent emails too and never received any response. I have not been contacted since the day I signed the service agreement.

Desired Outcome

2 options. Option 1) Pay our termination fee to Waste Management and give us a dumpster so we can continue into our Service Agreement OR Option 2) Pay for our dumpster removal and delivery through Waste Management since we never would have had it removed if it wasn't for your company and we can continue to use their service like we were before your company got us into this mess. I can provide an invoice upon request.

This literally solves nothing. We are out a dumpster now because of your company and we are left with either a gigantic termination bill or we have to pay for the dumpster take away that you ordered and the re-delivery if we want to continue to use Waste Management. I seriously doubt that your company has overwhelming positive reviews. This has been a terrible experience all around. Where we were promised that money would be save you actually cost us money. I believe your company is liable for the additional expense of the dumpster removal and re-delivery since its now obvious that you have zero intention of giving us a dumpster.

Contacted Rubicon on the 6 of June for trash service for 1st of July never received dumpster it's now July 8th .
I singled up for service on 6/6 I was quoted 90 a month And was supposed to receive my dumpster on 7/1 It Never came Laney sides said she would find out why . She called me back and said the vendor ( which she never told me they used ). Was up set at the price and it would be 125.00 a month because it was slightly out of his calling area . Being over a barrel and needing service I agreed . Now it's 7/8 still no dumpster . They will not return my calls . I have a large amount of trash and it's the middle of summer it stinks !

Rubicon finally delivered our dumpster on July X XXXX . They stated the bill would be 94 dollars . They stated they would pickup every mon so the first pickup up date was supposed mon July XX XXXX . Mon has come and gone my dumpster is full because I did not have trash service for 10 days . Now I can't get them to pick up the trash and they will not answer my calls at all . This is ridiculous !

Rubicon is unprofessional, unorganized and grossly lacking in customer service.

The representative I worked with up front to obtain quotes was very nice, responsive and easy to communicate with. The quotes provided to me though ended up being severely misrepresented based on actual costs. When I reached out to the rep I'd been working with to inquire about the costs, all communications ceased. After numerous attempts (emails and voice mails) to speak with someone, I finally received an email stating that they would look into things and get back with me, but they did not.
I received invoices with costs that were not disclosed and that were astronomical. I received invoices in May 2019 for trash hauls in November 2018. I received invoices in mid-June 2019 for trash hauls in March 2019.
Rubicon is a 3rd party broker, for most of their services I believe, for which a consumer should expect to pay a fee for their service and for the convenience of using them to source the best local price but the costs that we were charged were so beyond a "fee" that it literally took your breath when you saw the grand total owed.
I strongly recommend that you take the time upfront by doing your own due diligence and research on local vendors and obtain your own services directly from them and not use Rubicon; it will save you time, money, headaches and frustration in the long run. In this era of consumerism, a consumer should never be made to feel like the trash they are trying to have hauled.

That is a disingenuous response meant only to try to temper the negative review.
A week ago I was asked by Rubicon to provide details of the account so that the matter could be looked into.
Rubicon looked only as far into the matter to see that the account was cancelled and then decided it wasn't worth looking into any further now.
If Rubicon was at all sincere in winning me back as a customer someday, logic would dictate that more effort would be put into this matter. Since that is not the route Rubicon has chosen, you have shined the spotlight on the unethicalness of this company yourself.
Well done.

AMH was under contract with Republic Services when I received a call from Rubicon to switch to them for such services. Rubicon offered a lower rate ($199 per month versus $278 by Republic) and promised that Rubicon would cover any liquidated damages charged by Republic for terminating the contract and that I would not have to deal with Republic on the terminationRubicon would handle that. In late November 2018 I decided to switch to Rubicon. The switch went smoothly and I have no complaints with the services being provided by Rubicon. In December 2018 I received a bill from Republic for liquidated damages and forwarded it to Rubicon. From December 2018 to mid-February 2019, I received many assuarances from Rubicon that the LD's would be paid by them. Then in mid-February, Rubicon changed their story and refused to pay the LD's. They gave me two choicesthey pay the LD's and increase my rate going forward or I pay the LD's and the rate would stay. I agreed to have them pay the LD's and the new rate but lodged my position with them that this result was not right and not representative of our original agreement. I was put in a difficult position as garbage removal is important to any business.

This company is not delivering services as promised . Called on numerous occasions and have been promised that services will be delivered and they are not . But I am being billed every month for the services and my account reflects the same . Every time a phone call is made to advise them that services have not been rendered your transferred to a voicemail box to leave a message and they never return your phone call . This of course is after I spoke with the company several times to let them know that services were not being rendered for three weeks now and now I cannot get a hold of anyone .Emails have been sent regarding this issue and no one responds to emails ... if you're going to sell a service and charge for it, you need to provide it and if for any reason you are unable to provide it you need to make the buyer aware of the reason why you're unable to provide the service and not leave the buyer to have to look for other resources that are costly when they are paying for a service and not receiving it..

Rubicon called and advertised a great deal 11/2017 for business trash pick up. We did sign the contract and than the following day we heard from our current local company, Waste Management. We were not aware of our current contract with Waste Management - we immediately called Rubicon to let them know that we would not be engaging in their service as we could not get out of our current contract. Rubicon would not listen and delivered a trash dumpster the following day early in the morning when our business was closed. We called and the delivery truck was a block away and Rubicon came and picked it up. IT WAS NOT AT PROPERTY MORE THAN 10 minutes.

Since the date above we have been called every few weeks threatening to sue business and take us to court. Rubicon is stating that we owe $770.00. The charge is astronomical. The matter has now been turned over to collections and now they are constantly calling and sending us letters.

Rubicon is dishonest and is a scam that all individuals and businesses should be aware of. Do Not Do Business with Rubicon.

Rubicon, out of Atlanta, GA, basically subs out their garbage pickup to local "haulers" in your area. When haulers don't show up...you pretty much get the run around with Rubicon.

We signed an agreement to do business with Rubicon Global - there was no contract, and there should have been no cancellation fees according to the sales representative I spoke with. Before services were rendered, I contacted the sales representative with some questions to which I never received a response. We decided to stay with our current service provider who had me sign a Cancellation Rescission Letter to cancel services with Rubicon Global BEFORE services were rendered waiving any cancellation fees; however, we were still charged $1801.98. I tried to contact them regarding my concerns and, again, received no response.

This company never delivered any dumpsters to our office, yet is charging us $2200 for damages, for nothing ever done.
This company sought us out and offered us a cheaper alternative to Waste Management Company. We agreed to it, but then heard from our rep at Weste Management about what a scam they are and canceled. Nothing was every delivered here, and I canceled more than 90 days before the dumpster was to be delivered. They never paid any early termination fees to Waste Management on our behalf, I confirmed with Waste Management. Nothing was ever delivered! If I'd given 30 days notice the bin would have been installed.
I'm getting proof from Waste Management that Rubicon never paid a dime on our behalf for early cancellation. If they did, then Waste Management will reimburse them, not us.

They are claiming we owe them $2200 for absolutely nothing and are now threatening to send us to collections. This company is a total scam. I have contacted other companies in the state of Louisiana who has had this exact same thing happen to them with Rubicon.

The bill needs to be rescinded. They never provided any service for us, and according to their own contract I canceled the service within enough time to avoid any sort of fee.

There was 0 work done by Rubicon. We never met anyone from Rubicon. Nothing was ever delivered by Rubicon. No one from Rubicon ever stepped foot on our property. There is nothing for us to pay for, as no work was ever done by Rubicon!

I contacted our representative at Waste Management and discovered they were never contacted by Rubicon, and did not receive any sort of payment to buy out our contract from Rubicon. I have spoken to other businesses that have had the same thing happen to them, and maybe a class action lawsuit is in order here. I've spoken to other businesses that actually had the dumpster delivered erroneously, and filed a complaint on this website. I'd be happy to provide the official statement I received from Waste Management proving that Rubicon never canceled anything on our behalf, or paid any fees. This is a downright scam.

We have a hole in the dumpster at one of our locations and Rubicon will not replace the trash bin.
I have been contacting Rubicon's Customer Service since June 29th regarding a large hole in our trash bin. I have been told that the bin would be replaced 2 times via email. The last response I have received was on 7/18/18 and the issue still hasn't been resolved (4 emails sent out). Our store manager has called them to request a replacement as well and that hasn't gotten them to replace the bin either.

The trash is spilling out of the hole and wildlife is dragging it across our parking lot. This is becoming quite the nuisance and we don't know how else to get it resolved.

We want them to replace the bin and issue us a customer satisfaction credit since this has been going on for over a month!

Finally found a good contact that helped resolve the issue. The bin onsite has been changed out.

We contracted for $51.00 a month for twice a month pick up on July 5th 2018 to start 8/1/18. Now they say they can not do it. We already had our other service canceled and that dumpster was picked up.

Rubicon was to place a dumpster on 8/1/18. They did not. I have talked with Bobby on 8/5/18, Bobby on 8/6/18 and *** on 8/6/18. I called again today 8/7/18 *** put me to ***'s email.

We need a dumpster.

We found a trash service that will pick up our trash. The refund of 105.00 has not been received but we were told they will refund the delivery fee of the new dumpster.

We started using Rubicon for two commercial building locations in April. Since then the drivers for their subcontractor have twice run into and broken dumpster enclosure gates (one driver told a tenant it was his first time driving the truck) and twice have driven into and damaged the corner of a building including breaking off a security camera. One time an 8 yd dumpster was only partially emptied (same time building was damaged & security camera broken) leaving the dumpster about 40% full. We have been unable to get any response from Rubicon regarding repairs to the building or reimburse for dumpster gate repairs. At the 2nd location, we had to call to remind them the dumpster needed to be emptied in a timely manner

It is clear that the subcontractor Rubicon is using does not have sufficiently trained drivers or doesn't have the proper vehicles to properly service this type facility

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) We want to be repaid for damages to the building and be released from the contract so that we can use a more reliable company

Rubicon Global was contacted by Mr. regarding property damages caused by our contracted hauler. Mr. reported damages to enclosure and, more recently, damages to security camera mount and siding. Rubicon Global is reimbursing Mr. the cost of repairs to enclosure and we are in the process of estimating cost of repair to security camera mount and siding.
