Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Reviews (30)

We purchased three new vehicles from them within 2 weeks of September 20, 2015. One of their 2015 Dodge Journey SUV they sold to us has a recall issue at the time of sale. At the time of signing the contract, dealership informed us the vehicle recall was full done. Within days, we found out online the recall has not been completed. I phone up the dealership and service department getting nothing done besides giving us the run around. Lastly, we scheduled an appointment twice with the dealership service department. As we arrived, my name wasn't input in the system, they said, I don't have any appointments with them. My time was greatly wasted driving back to their dealership twice because non of their staff there knows what their doing and giving customers false informations.

Review: I am disputing this collection account due to fraud by the dealer to obtain a car loan. Due to the fact that I, [redacted] went to the Sacramento Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep Dealer [redacted] in hopes of buying my dream car. The date was 8/28/2014. I looked at a Chrysler 300 and I liked it. I decided to purchase it. The salesman gave me a credit application and had me fill it out. I did that under income I wrote down. Currently I make $854.00 a month. Owners e-mail at the time of purchase was [redacted].

The next day 8/29/2014 the dealership called me in the afternoon and said I was approved. I said I was doing errands and as soon I was done I would come down there. When I got to the dealership the salesman handed me a second blank credit application and told me to sign it. I said I had filled out one yesterday. I was told it was okay, just sign and I was approved. From there I went to finance. The lady I finance said she got the payoff of my trade in from the credit report. I asked why the credit report and I thought she would call for a payoff form the people who financed it. She said it was late. She was trying very hard to sell me other things; extended warranty, some sort of “gap” insurance coverage. I told her I had declined because I could not afford any more payments. The payments were stiff as it was, I agreed to the total price but no more. I signed the paperwork. Took the delivery of the Chrysler 300 on August 29, 2014. Contract loan #2[redacted].

After a few days I got a call from the finance lady telling me I owed an extra $500.00 for my trade in. I said maybe I should just take my old car and not do the deal because I agreed to the price she told me. She told me it was too late. My old car was gone. I said said I didn’t think it was fair because she should have called for an exact amount before we completed the deal. I agreed to the deal based on all the amounts she told me. She said if I didn’t pay immediately I would be sued. I was scared. I paid the $500 because she made a mistake, not me. I didn’t do anything wrong.]

After making a few payments on my car loan, about 29 Oct. 2014 I went to [redacted] I applied for an unsecured loan of $14,900.00. The financing person helping me was Ms. [redacted]. She said she used the info form my car loan credit application to process the loan. I was approved for the loan Acct. #1644743. Loan 2 my payments is $315.00/mo.

On February 2015 I went [redacted]. and spoke to Ms. [redacted] to fill out my application for a Visa card. That is when I found out what the dealer had put down for my income. Ms. [redacted] said according to the credit application the dealer submitted, I ma $2,900.00 a month. I was shocked. I told her that I had never made that much money. I told her the most I ever made was $1,000.00 to $1,200.00 a month. I was turned down for the Visa because my income was too low. I had to use my friends income, Mr. [redacted], credit to get a joint Visa Card approved. At first she said it was approved for $500.00 then said no I could only be approved for $2,000.00. Very embarrassing.

I feel I did nothing wrong and did everything in good faith. I feel the dealership fraudulently fill out my incoming without my permission or my knowledge. So they could sell me a car.

[redacted] used the credit and financial info from the dealer so I could get an collateralized loan. Again without me knowing what they were doing.

I do not want to hurt my credit rating because I work hard to pay my bills and keep up my credit rating. I pay my bills on time to get my credit rate to 726 and higher to have a good credit. I came to America to do good things. I want to keep my [redacted] One membership and I do not want this to be bad for me or my credit ratings. I did nothing wrong. I trusted the dealer to be honest with me. Now I feel the dealership cheated me, and was not honest, telling me to sign a blank form and to trust them to get me financed.

I am sending copies of all the forms and my statement to the following.

Fraud unit of the [redacted]

State licensing Board for car dealership.

State licensing Board for car salesman.

Revdex.com.

DMV.

Best Service Company Collection Agency.Desired Settlement: English is not my first language but I have a witness to all these transactions. All my [redacted] friends and withing the [redacted] community told me to file a complaint about being defrauded. Before I go to the [redacted] to see if everything that was done was legal and honest and in good business practice, I want to know what other things you can help with to make things right.

This has caused me many problems and many sleepless nights. I had to borrow a lot of money from family and friends trying to do right.

On numerous occasions I went to [redacted] to get help and all I got was threats and the run a round. We’ll repossess the car and sue you. One time on September 9, 2015 I got hep from [redacted] at [redacted], he tried to help me get a resolution to my problem. It took me almost my whole life to come to America, and saved up to buy my “dream” car. After almost ten years of doing good and saving to get my credit to [redacted] and enough money to get my dream car, I lose it, because they cheated me. Now I am brokenhearted. I am forced into letting it go. My family helped me as much as they could. We are all hurt and disappointed to be lied to and treated this way.

Recently I found out that the owner of the dealership where the care was purchased, was also owner, or had owned Folsom Lake Dodge, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep had been found guilty of numerous offenses. i.e., falsifying documents on financial applications, salary amounts false or incorrect Social Security numbers.

Response:

I'm sorry to hear of this complaint. I find it odd that [redacted] and [redacted] think this way because they recently purchased another vehicle from our store in November 2015 trading in the vehicle they purchased in 08/28/14. The store went through ownership/management change on 09/2014. We are not affiliated with [redacted] that is who [redacted] and [redacted] purchased there vehicle from in 08/14. But again find it odd they felt like the dealership is dishonest but Purchased another vehicle from the same location.

Review: I went to Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to buy a key for my sister's truck a 2005 Dodge Durango. They sold me a key for $227.33 that doesn't work. I asked for a refund and they said they wouldn't give me my money backDesired Settlement: I want my money back and I'll give them back their key that doesn't work.

Business

Response:

Tell us why here...Mr. [redacted] came in and bought a key from parts and then had us program it to his vehicle. The key wouldn't program because the module wouldn't accept the new key. He didn't want to buy the module, but wanted his money back for the key. I wouldn't give it to him. I told him we diagnosed it for free, and he just had to pay for the module. He didn't want that. I feel we did our best to try to help Mr.[redacted]

Review: The first weekend of February 2015, I bought a new [redacted] (or so I thought). I was told my financing was approved. I had walked in with my own Bank's approval and insisted on using them only, but the Chrysler Dodge [redacted] Ram Dealer said they got me a lower APR with "their bank." So I signed all the paperwork and drove off. A couple of days later the Salesperson called and asked how I liked driving the car and I asked if there was a problem, he said "no." I then was called from Service to bring my car in for Xylan coating. I took my car in. I got my warranty through the mail everything was indicating I was the owner. But as I looked at the paperwork there was no "proof of financing." Nothing on any of the paperwork told me the name of the bank financing me, even though I was verbally given the name of a bank. I've now had the [redacted] for 12 days. I've left messages for the Finance department asking for proof of financing and surprise...no return phone calls. I'm now talking with my bank and seeing what legal means are available to me. This scam is called "Spot Delivery."Desired Settlement: I would like Revdex.com to spearhead change. Help get Federal law changed so that Car Dealers can face criminal charges and closeures for pulling off "Spot Delivery" scams. This is fraud! They lie to people and say a bank approved them, people take the car home and show their friends, co-workers and families. So not only do you not have transportation but it's an emotional embaressment to tell people why you don't have the car anymore.

Thank you for all your help, I got help fast after contacting you. The car dealer faxed over proof of financing to me at 11am today (2/19/15). Please cancel or delete my complaint # [redacted] and let the business know. Attached is my request in writing. Thank you!

Review: February 22, 2016 [redacted] This e-mail is to follow my telephone conversations with your dealership since 2/15/2016. The BMW that I purchased on 2/12/2016 from your lot was listed for having navigation. (See attached). When checking the car before I drove off, I inquired if it as well as several other items were working. The Salesman, [redacted], told me that he did not know anything about BMWs, and he told me to take the car to the BMW dealership and that your dealership would take care of it. I went to the BMW dealership on 2/15. Everything checked out okay except for the navigation. I was told that car did not have navigation nor could they retrofit it. I sent an e-mail below and I have made several calls to the dealership. [redacted] and [redacted] told me that I had to contact you as the manager of the dealership. I live in Berkeley and I drove to Sacramento to purchase the car because of the specifics of your listing. Navigation was one of the main items that I was looking for. Your advertisement was a false advertisement and I am asking compensation for this error. This item if installed at the factory costs $2750 and I was asking this compensation for your false advertisement. I am also sending a complaint to the consumer agencies below because I was disrespected when I discussed this matter with you today. Please respond within the next five days or else I will have no other choice than to seek consumer and legal assistance. [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the money BMW would have charged me to add the package $2750. Or I want them to take the car back.

Review: In September 2015 I had my 2005 PT Cruiser towed to their service center for a diagnostic inspection since the car was undriveable due to a fluid leak. I was told by [redacted] the service advisor I was dealing with stated that it was leaking fluid and that it could be the water pump or seals and a tear down would be necessary to verify the issue at a cost of around $1400.00 to $1500.00. Since my extended warranty would not cover the cost I decided to take the vehicle to the original mechanic who initially worked on the car before since he was willing to work with me on the price. I had the car towed since I was still under the impression that the car was still undrivable since the dealership had done no repairs to it other than their $140.00 diagnostic. Upon arrival at the second repair facility, I was told that the car was full of fluid, not leaking and that a tear down and tow was not necessary. I contacted [redacted] at the dealership (in person), and asked him about the discrepancies (which were not explained or answered),and that I would like to be reimbursed for the tow that was never needed and for the oil dipstick that was missing. I was told that they would not reimburse for the tow, only the dipstick. I then asked to speak to the General Manager, [redacted], who stated that he was far to busy to listen to me or address my complaint.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for the tow and missing dipstick, and a letter of apology from the the General Manager, [redacted] for his arrogant attitude and poor customer service.

Response:

Customer had vehicle tow. We did not tell them it needed to be towed out. Customer just assumed because they had it towed to us that it would need to be towed out.Tech never removed dip stick only radiator cap to diag. Coolant leak concern.I have had no communication via email, phone call or say other form with Mr. [redacted]. This was the first I heard of the issue. I believe we handled it correctly and professionally.Thank you,[redacted]General Manager Sacramento CDJR [redacted]

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I cannot believe the response sent from Mr.[redacted]. I will start by stating that yes I did have the vehicle towed from his dealership because It was never indicated to me that the vehicle was driveable and that it was not leaking any fluid. What I was told was that the vehicle would need over $1400.00 worth of repairs (From [redacted]t, his "Service Technician") which the car did not need. A statement from the second repair facility can be provided indicating that the dipstick was missing and that the total amount of repairs stated by the dealership was totally false. Would he drive a car supposedly needing that much work and with a possible fluid leak? Probably not. He'd have it towed. Second, as for the mechanic not removing the oil dipstick, on the inspection report I received It clearly shows that the oil level was checked by his "mechanic" and that it was within normal levels. This report can be submitted to the dealer if requested, but he has the same documentation I do so either his "mechanic" falsified the inspection report or he did check the oil. I am not a mechanic, but I'm pretty sure you need to remove the dipstick to do this.As for Mr. [redacted] never hearing from me or knowing about this issue, this again is not true.. After speaking to his "Service Technician" [redacted]t, I asked to to speak with the General Manager (Twice!) which is what I believe he calls himself, and I was told by Mr. [redacted] that " He was to busy to speak with me and would not discuss this issue". Unbelievable. After leaving, I called Mr.[redacted] (Twice!) Both times I was sent to his voicemail, but my calls were never returned. I am once again asking for the reimbursement for the towing, $95.00, and the cost of the missing dipstick. If this matter is not resolved with in the next 7 business days, I will have no other option buy to file a complaint with the B.A.R. and the States Attorney Generals office. I have spent to much time on this already.[redacted]

Business

Response:

I [redacted] General Manager, stand behind the original statement sent back in previous response. I stand behind Mr. Scott's repair order documentation. If Mr. [redacted] did ask to speak with me, I may have been busy but if that was the case, I would have referred him to speak with my service manager [redacted] I will replace the missing dipstick without acknowledging blame of loss.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: On September 30, 2015 I went to Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram located at [redacted] To get my brakes pads replaced and cut rotors torqued lugs to specifications also had my rear brake scuffed up the rear brake pads and reinstalled them. Five days after these repairs was done I begin to hear a squeaking sound at every attempt to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. They were also supposed to changed my oil filter but the sticker date placed on my vehicle for re-service states a date of March 3, 2015 (which is before I took my vehicle into this dealership) Also I was billed for my tires air pressure that was supposed to be set back to factory setting, however; when I accelerate from a complete stop a squeaking sound occurs which indicates low air pressure in the tires. They also did not reconnected my air pressure gauge to the vehicle's computer which indicates when air pressure is low. I was charged for a service that was not completed and this can jeopardize the safety of Myself and any individual that rides in my car. For this reason I want a complete refund of $447.11Desired Settlement: I would like a total refund of $447.11 for the services that was not provided by Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Response:

To Whom in may Concern: Until this letter dated November 2, 2015 from your office we were unaware of any concerns that our customer had with the repairs of their vehicle. After review on {[redacted] vehicle history in our system we show that the vehicle has never returned to the dealership. We will try to reach out to the customer and have them return to us and we will be more than happy to look at the vehicle and determine what the concern is the consumer is having at no charge to the customer. If you will pass along this information along to the customer as well and have them contact any of our consultants to make an appointment that would be great. Sincerely,[redacted]

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:Good Day, [redacted] I am requesting for a full refund of $447.11 because the Sacramento Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram did not do the work that was requested and paid for. A Oil change and breaks were not corrected. When I questioned [redacted] what item she had place on the order she could not explain it to me. She ([redacted]) stated that the mechanic did this action regarding the brakes then to justify her action called the mechanic to the payment office. At the this point she question the mechanic asking him "Did he perform this work ?" his reply was "I did not say that, nor did u do that". Then [redacted] requested that I wait so the mechanic do the work. I agreed to stay for two more hours. I did not know there was a time limit on this compliant when the individual in business takes a customers money with improper service. The final result of the work was not done. By the following week the squeaking, and squealing on the brakes was back. Also when I checked on the date of the sticker for the oil change next service next service due: 3/30/15 which has past. So I don't even know if they really did my oil change as well.Since then I have my brakes check again at Good Year Auto Service Center which they stated I need work done on my breaks. I want a refund so I can get the work done properly. Besides being disabled, and my grandson that just recently was murdered. And not this business taking payment for a service they did not do. I want to make sure that I am not taken advantage of.Thank you [redacted]

Review: I purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee from California Superstores on 6/1/15. The following week the vehicle started making a loud vibration/rattle noise when I used the cruise control. I discovered that the sound occurred when maintaining a constant speed. Slowing or speeding up stopped the sound temporarily. I took the vehicle to the service department on 6/16/15. At that time the service tech said that the tires needed to be rotated, realigned and pressure adjusted. When I left the dealer there was no change in the noise. It still occurred as before. I spoke with the manager when I went back to sign some papers. He dismissed my complaint and told me that it was likely a normal sound from the air suspension. I took it back again on 6/22/15 to be looked at again as it was continuing and the entire vehicle would shake with vibration. The service tech identified the sound and said that it wasn't normal. He worked on it that day and did a search with Chrysler. Chrysler stated that it was a known noise related to the air suspension at freeway speeds. I drove it after that and tried not to keep a constant speed on the freeway. This fall the problem has progressed to happen at any speed. I took it back to the dealer on 11/18/15 and again a tech heard the noise and told me it wasn't normal. He worked on it and found a bracket loose. Unfortunately this did not fix it. I spoke with the service manager [redacted] on 11/24/15. He told me that he would escalate the problem with Chrysler and keep me informed. on 1/7/16 I called and spoke with [redacted] and refreshed his memory of my problem. He reassured me that he would again reach out to Chrysler about my problem and keep me informed. I have not heard from [redacted] or Chrysler. My Jeep continues to make an abnormal vibration/rattle. Can you please help me resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: I would like my Jeep Grand Cherokee fixed so that it doesn't make this rattle/vibration. It is tied to the accelerator. If they can not fix it, I would like it replaced.

Review: I took my car into the dealership (where I bought the car brand new) to have it checked out for not starting, after having my car for a week they could not tell me what was wrong with the car they wanted me to authorize an engine tear down and hopefully power train warranty would cover it, so I continued to wait why they tore down the motor she sit to warranty and get it approved, close to 3 and half weeks later, once it finally got approved, I did receive a rental car. Once they told me warranty approved a new motor, the bad news was the motor was on back order and they didn't know when they could give me my car back. I finally got a call on nov 2 saying they found a motor and it would be there at 2 on the following day and my car would be ready sometime that week. I received a call at 3:45 on nov 4 saying my car was done and the rental would not be paid for anymore but my car now needed a starter. The service department said they did not check that in the inspection and never once mentioned it until after 5 weeks of having my car.Desired Settlement: I would like for the starter to just be put in my car and not have any additional charges, I have not had a good experience with the service department or the sales department when I tried to just make a deal to let my car go, I would like to drive my car out with any additional charges at this point

Response:

[redacted] Brought her Car into Sacramento Dodge for a no start condition, vehicle was towed in, battery was dead, charged battery, checked fuel pressure, fuel pressure was good, removed spark plug to check for spark found water on spark plug, inspected cylinder and found water in cylinder, pressurized cooling system found that head gasket was leaking water into cylinders causing no start condition. Per Chrysler’s warranty guidelines customer is responsible for all repairs until it is determined that the failure is a warrantable concern. Customer then approved tear down of motor to inspect for possible head gasket failure. Head was removed from engine and a head gasket failure was confirmed. Head had over 10 thousands of a inch warpage and engine block had over 10 thousand of a inch warpage indicating that this was a extreme overhead event or the overheat of the engine happened several times causing more damage every time it overheated. Also upon inspection of vehicle it was noted that it appeared that there was no coolant in cooling system, only water, performed refractometer test, confirmed that no antifreeze was present in cooling system, indicating that water was repeatedly added to system causing further harm to engine. Took pictures of engine and head, summited all info to Chrysler’s powertrain warranty service center. Chrysler had many questions over the condition of the engine, how long it had been leaking, how long it was driven with the leak, spoke with Chrysler with of the next couple of weeks about engine replacement each time I was escalated to a different manager higher up in the department Chrysler was going to deny the warranty due to customer lack of addressing the cooling system issue earlier causing extensive damage to engine but in speaking with the top level managers in warranty it was agreed to cover the replacement of the engine, engine was finally approved and ordered, but engine was on back order, customer was put in to a rental as a good will gesture and was not paid for by Chrysler, it was paid by Sacramento doge. As soon as motor was received by us we went to work on the vehicle right away. Upon completion of engine installation it was noticed that vehicle had a slow crank, vehicle was test drove and all fluid were rechecked and a inspection was done to ensure that work was completed properly. Technician went to start car again and noted that vehicle had a very long crank to start, tested starter, found that started was pulling 360 amps to start, (spec is 180-240). Called Chrysler again to discuss starting issues and Chrysler refused to cover starter, starter is not covered under powertrain warranty and will not be covered under consequential damage for head gasket leak. Customer then request that Sacramento dodge be responsible for starter replacement at no cost to them. We feel that we have all ready gone above and beyond to have this customers motor approved from Chrysler warranty and paid for the rental car. Saving the customer over 5000.00 in repairs and rental costs. [redacted]
