Mr [redacted] I apologize for the inconveniences you’ve had regarding your property, however this is not a roof issueWe have been to your property immediately both times that you have claimed that the roof is leaking, and both times you were informed that there is a large piece of siding missing near the roof causing the leak (photo attached)One of our employees did secure a piece of metal over the missing siding as a courtesy to stop the leak, and you were again informed that you needed to contact a siding installerWe offered to have a building inspector from the city of [redacted] inspect the roof since you are insisting once again that the roof is leaking, and you declined (text message attached)We attempted to have an inspector out anyway, however since you pulled the permit, it would have to be at your requestPlease note that in your contract it very clearly states that we are not responsible for any interior damages (contract attached), and especially considering that your roof is not leaking, we cannot cover the costs of any interior repairs

This matter was promptly attended to in August and drip edge installation was ordered by employee MK on the back of the house, over the problem areaThis was also installed within a week of your phone call notifying MK that there was a problemAs your contract states, the warranty is labor only and does not cover materials, therefore you should have been billed for drip edgeMK installed this as a courtesy to you at no charge in the interest of keeping you satisfiedAt that time there was no leak in your roofYour husband stated to MK that he wanted the drip edge installed around the entire house at no charge; of course this request was denied as we cannot install unnecessary materials at no chargeMK also spoke with you less than hours prior to your involving outside parties such as the Revdex.com and the city, and informed you that we are in our busiest season would be out there as soon as possibleAfter much screaming at him on the part of your husband, MK still agreed to come out at no charge as a courtesy, and you were more than fine with this at the timeWe have tried our best to accommodate your needs, however your leaving for Florida does not dictate our work schedule, especially considering you do not have an active leak damaging the interior of your home As you have been told several times, you do not have an active leak in the roofIf you remain insistent that there is a leak, we will need photos of the leak/area emailed to our office before any further action will be taken on our endWe have already installed additional drip edge in August to the back of the houseWe will not be installing any free drip edge to any other area of the house as this was done purely in the interest of putting your mind at ease, and was not a necessity to prevent a leakThis information was also sent to you directly in an email on 10/18/17; we have yet to receive a responsePlease send photos of the leak/area or we will consider this matter closed

Please stop with the reverse psychology tactics regarding our Revdex.com rating, which we have rightfully earnedWe have completed hundreds of jobs with just as many satisfied customersI am not sure why you are even stating that you "wouldn't have known our
company even exists were it not for the Revdex.com"You did not seek us out through the Revdex.com and you were not forced to hire usYour information was provided to us by a lead service, which you acquired via ***We drove to the property, gave an estimate, and agreed to help you out since you made it clear that money was an issueWe did everything to accommodate you from the beginning answering all of your questions and doing our best to be sure that you were comfortable, and gave you a fantastic price on your roof AND the extra chargesYou were also given the option of tarping off the roof so that it would not
leak, though our insurance would still be responsible, to allow you time
to decide what you wanted to doObviously these decisions cannot wait as we are paying hundreds of dollars in labor costs on every project, which is why we suggested tarping the roof while you made your decisionYou wanted us to proceed with the
work, and are now attempting to make it seem as though we removed your
entire roof then forced you to sign a payment agreement for additional charges We "admitted" nothing in the previous responses, but rather stated that very few large construction projects are without unforseen costs, and you are the only customer we have had that has made such an issue over this type of situationYou have made several ridiculous statements, including that we should
have known there was a third layer when we gave the estimate (impossible
to see without removing shingles, which again, no reputable company
will do without a signed contract in place, though you even suggested
that this is what we should have done), and that it should have been
indicated that a third layer is additional in your contract though it
goes without saying, being that the contract is written for two layers,
that anything beyond that is additionalMost homes do not have a third
layer installedOur contracts are not vague and have worked very well
for our company for several yearsI cannot keep responding with the same answer over and overWe have explained all of this to you several times and in several different ways, yet you still think we should be responsible for your home having a third layer of shake under the shinglesThe facts of this situation have not changedYou had a third layer on the roof, which costs extra money in labor for removal and additional materials to the hauling serviceWe did not put that third layer on your roof, and we do not own the property, therefore I fail to see your logic regarding your perception of our company's responsibility for these costsYou also signed a payment agreement and are now accusing my company of "coercing" you into signing this form in an effort to avoid payment, and that we deliberately did not include an additional cost in our contract so that we could "charge you whatever we wanted" to remove itBoth of these (now public) accusations are unfounded and egregious, and have been sent to our attorney for review. You can continue to slander our company via the Revdex.com, or you can contact our office as I have previously suggested and we will provide our attorney's information; the choice is yours but you will not be receiving any further responses on this forumThank you

Mr*** does not have the authority to dictate our work schedule, and removed us from this project to complete another on Winchester Avenue in Lakewood insteadWe did not simply "disappear" for a month as he has accused us of doingWe also completed several other projects for this customer
while this project was ongoing, therefore the dishonesty is clearly not on our endThere was no start or end date outlined in the contract, and this complaint is a tactic used by the customer to swindle free work out of my company as he as attempted to do several times prior to this incidentThe unit that is requested to be finished in days has already been completed and paid for in full, and Mr*** is now attempting to force my company to complete additional trim work that was not outlined in the contractTwo of the units that he is now asking to be "completed" were finished several weeks ago and paid in full as agreed upon by both partiesMr*** also stated in a text message that one day per week was fine "as a show of good faith", and we have done thatThis project was never given a 6-week timelineMr*** added several extras and deviated from the original scope of work several times with an employee that is no longer working for my company, thus causing further delays all summer and a new contract to be writtenMr*** and his partner Dan Cull threw a fit when we attempted to charge them for the large amount of extras that were added, and a new payment schedule was outlined in July in order to make them feel more at easeMy employees did not "stage" any units to appear that work was completed, as this would be a waste of my company's time and resources to send a crew out to complete nothingThe employees were there for hours, although work was hindered due to Mr*** hiring someone else to install gas lines to the unitsTwo of the units are completed and paid for in fullIf they were not completed, then they would not have been paid for in full as this was the agreement made previouslyThe remaining two units will be completed in a reasonable time frame, however we will not be putting any time frame into writing as this was never outlined in any contracts, and as I've stated to Mr*** previously, I don't appreciate being bulliedA time frame could have been worked out professionally had Mr*** not threatened legal action and used every other method of bullying that he can compriseEven after Mr***'s partner bounced a check for $to my company, we still chose to allow them to make it right instead of contacting the authorities, though it left me little confidence that they would pay in the futureMr*** is not the only person whom has shown good faith on this projectWe have completed several extras in the interest of doing business together, but nothing seems to be good enough for himWe have done what he has asked and sent a crew once a week; they were dispatched to return today (10/29) until we received this egregious complaint Mr*** asked that a crew be sent out and we have done that, yet he is now using the Revdex.com as a new bullying tactic now that threatening legal action did not workWe have not collected final payment for this project, therefore the several attempts made by *** *** to slander my company are going to be reviewed by our attorneyMr*** hired a family member to complete another project at Bridge Avenue after promising the job to us, and his family member could not fulfill his obligations months laterHe has not taken this person to court or filed any complaints about this person, and my company has been abused by Mr*** for months as a result, likely due to the fact that I am a female and the only contractor they have hired with a legitimate company to go afterWe offered a very reasonable solution to have this project completed faster for the customer and he declined, and instead threatened to sue my company with no legal recourseWe have completed several projects for this customer and his partner with no issues, including stopping roof leaks for free (*** *** ***) and roofing repairs completed immediately for themMrM***, you will not be getting a time frame in writing, and work will not resume until our lawyer has had a chance to review this matter once again, since you are again lying and now slandering my company with the Revdex.com

As previously stated, we cannot alter the contract that is in place by
adding a date of completionWe hope to have it finished in
approximately days, and will continue to work 1-days per week as
agreed upon

We were not contracted to install a roof on your home, but rather a roof on the garageAs you have quoted our "day pricing" in the contract, please keep in mind that we honored the price given to you in March though we did not hear from you until July to confirm that you wanted the project done
We attempted to complete this project three separate times since receiving your deposit, and each time you cancelled with very little noticeWe also have text message conversations dating back to April between you and MK to corroborate this information We did not sell our power washer, and was it certainly not communicated to you that it was soldYou requested a "two week notice" from us prior to your start date, citing this as your reason for cancellingA "two week notice" is not possible as we cannot predict weather and availability two weeks outThis was also communicated to you by MKOur standard protocol is a 48-hour noticeAfter creating several delays, you requested to cancel the contract and were then instructed by MK to submit in writing that you wanted to cancel in order to receive your refundHe suggested you write an email as it would be much faster; no email was receivedAs you have stated, we did not receive a certified letter from you requesting to cancel, therefore the implication that we have been "ignoring" you is quite untrueWe did not deny you a refundYou were also informed by MK that per your contract, you will receive your refund less the 15% cancellation feeWe will gladly issue this refund immediately and you may consider your project now cancelled

No one was coerced into signing anything; that is a quite a serious and unfounded accusationYou agreed to pay the additional cost, and now you are trying to avoid paymentYou had a third layer of shake on your mansard roof that should never have been installed in the first placeI am not sure
why you think my company should be responsible for those costs, as this created over a half day of extra labor as well as additional charges to the hauling service for extra materialsThe contract is attached, along with the invoice for the additional $for which you agreed to payYou also signed off on the job upon completion and paid us in full, and we agreed to let you do a payment plan for the additional $chargeWe also amended the original contract because you did not feel comfortable with the down payment amount, so please do not imply that we are unprofessional and were not willing to work with youYou also asked to rewrite the invoice in your company's name, which we agreed despite the fact that the original contract is in your nameAgain, we made an exception to make you feel more comfortableWe have completed hundreds of jobs with extra costs such as this, and not once had an unsatisfied customerThe contract is written for two layers, which is standard building codeAnything beyond layers (which would constitute improper installation by the previous owner) is always an additional chargeWe have never had a customer complain that they had to pay for a third layer removal, as most people understand that this is not our unforseen cost to payYou were sent pictures and informed immediately when the third layer was discoveredWhen giving an estimate, NO respectable roofing company will remove layers on a roof to check for a third layerWe also will not remove layers of any roof prior to having a signed contract in place as we would then be responsible for damages to your roofWithout removing layers, we have no way of knowing that there is an additional third layer to be removed as we obviously not see through shinglesYou also were not charged for any of the wood that was replaced as a gesture of good willRotted wood and a third layer on a roof are unforseen costs, and again, most customers understand thisYou will be billed starting January 1, for the additional charges as you agreed upon yesterdayWe have gone above and beyond for you, including doing this job for substantially less than most companies would as you made it clear that you had a limited budgetWe have rewritten contracts and invoices, and kept you informed every step of the wayNo more exceptions will be made on this project

No one was coerced into signing anything; that is a quite a serious and unfounded accusation. You agreed to pay the additional cost, and now you are trying to avoid payment. You had a third layer of shake on your mansard roof that should never have been installed in the first place. I am not sure...

why you think my company should be responsible for those costs, as this created over a half day of extra labor as well as additional charges to the hauling service for extra materials. The contract is attached, along with the invoice for the additional $800 for which you agreed to pay. You also signed off on the job upon completion and paid us in full, and we agreed to let you do a payment plan for the additional $800 charge. We also amended the original contract because you did not feel comfortable with the down payment amount, so please do not imply that we are unprofessional and were not willing to work with you. You also asked to rewrite the invoice in your company's name, which we agreed despite the fact that the original contract is in your name. Again, we made an exception to make you feel more comfortable. We have completed hundreds of jobs with extra costs such as this, and not once had an unsatisfied customer. The contract is written for two layers, which is standard building code. Anything beyond 2 layers (which would constitute improper installation by the previous owner) is always an additional charge. We have never had a customer complain that they had to pay for a third layer removal, as most people understand that this is not our unforseen cost to pay. You were sent pictures and informed immediately when the third layer was discovered. When giving an estimate, NO respectable roofing company will remove layers on a roof to check for a third layer. We also will not remove layers of any roof prior to having a signed contract in place as we would then be responsible for damages to your roof. Without removing layers, we have no way of knowing that there is an additional third layer to be removed as we obviously not see through shingles. You also were not charged for any of the wood that was replaced as a gesture of good will. Rotted wood and a third layer on a roof are unforseen costs, and again, most customers understand this. You will be billed starting January 1, 2016 for the additional charges as you agreed upon yesterday. We have gone above and beyond for you, including doing this job for substantially less than most companies would as you made it clear that you had a limited budget. We have rewritten contracts and invoices, and kept you informed every step of the way. No more exceptions will be made on this project.

I agree that the estimate/contract was for my garage roof and not my home. However, I disagree with me having 48-hours notice. 1st attempt - MK called on July 20th at 6:06 pm to commence work on the job for the next day. I responded by voicemail and text within an hour of receiving the call and proposed July 22nd.2nd attempt - MK called on August 12th at 10:06 am to commence work that day at 11:00am. I explained that I would not be home until after noon. MK responded later stating that he did not want to rush the guys and we would try another time. 3rd attempt - On August 30th, I requested my refund to be returned. After several attempts between August 22 and 25th, to the office and leaving at least two messages asking for a return call. On August 31st, MK inquired about setting up a time for the upcoming week.4th attempt - On September 22nd, MK inquired again about a start date.
