I was told today that because of Corona virus they would not accept any returns. I purchase groceries and then when I was loading them into my vehicle noticed a gallon of water for my son who's a infant had a leak so just wanted to return for a quick refund. The little tiny short angry Manager guy told me rudely no refunds and he would not go to back of store and look for more water whatever was on the shelves was it. He then forces me to return my gallon for a different kind that I did not want and I was just stuck with item and have to leave. This is a gallon of water like 1 dollar they are so rude and not good customer service. Imagine if you buy a more expensive item and they have no more to replace and refuse a refund. What Safeway is doing is illegal and they should be immediately shut down. I've spent thousands of dollars here and was a loyal weekly customer. No more I refuse to ever come back. The little short tiny angry Manager with horrible customer service should be fired.

This store employs very rude and unhelpful employees. Also, a lot of the packaged food product I have bought here has been stale, and the food prepared in-store is always left out all day. For example, the chicken wings near the salad bar are heated by a lamp for longer than 6 or 7 hours rendering them almost inedible. In addition, this store is exremely slow to restock anything, oftentimes to the point an item will no longer be sold once it is gone. However, the worst part by far are the employees. They are always standing around having conversations with each other and can't be bothered to help anyone. The worst thing they do (that frustrates everyone) is when they close all but 1 register after around 10/11pm. There's always a very slow-moving cashier they leave to tend the single check stand, and almost every time there are SEVERAL employees nearby that refuse to open another check stand to get the customers out the door. They do this every single night and it is due to a complete lack of trying. On top of all this, I am not even exaggerating, there were a few times I came in and the store smelled like feces. To make matters worse, restrooms are closed constantly without explanation -- for very long periods -- and whenever they get around to restocking, all the inventory is laying about blocking the aisles.

I have a blood pressure health issue that requires medication on a daily basis.
I have been buying my medication from Safeway pharmacy and have not had a problem until almost March 2019.
the customer service and the follow up with the medication went down. I had to call multiple times in order to know if my medication is ready or not. Then, used to receive a text message to pick up my medication.
The pharmacy has had my prescription for almost a year and the process should have been standardized to receive a notification on time and pick up my medication on time, yet this has not been the case for the past 6 months.
I called Jef from the pharmacy 5 days ago after a week of being late and asked him, why I did not receive a notification to pick up my medication. There was no issue and my prescription is on file for Losartn 90 tablets.
Now it is the 17th and I have not gotten a call or message to pick up my medication and its almost late for 2 weeks.

I called customer on Monday 12-30-19 and left a message. I also followed up with an email asking him to email or call me regarding his complaint.

I reached out to customer 01-02-20 and was able to speak with him. His issue is regarding a prescription for Losartan- a medication to control blood pressure. He has a prescription for a 30 and 90 day supply of this medication.

He states that starting in March 2019 he had an issue with not knowing if his medication was ready for pick up. He use to receive a text message letting him know it was ready and he would just come down an pick it up.

He switched his prescription to a 90 day supply in an effort to not have this issue arise every month.

I apologized to him for this issue and let him know we did have an issue with our vendor who administers the text messaging to all our patients. Many patients were not receiving text messages after their prescription had been filled.

This issue was finally fixed the week of Thanksgiving. I also told him I would contact the pharmacy and ask them to call him every time his script was ready just in case he did not receive a text message. He was very happy and said if the situation continued he would get an attorney.

I called the pharmacy yesterday and spoke to Jason the Staff RPh. He put a note in ***'s profile stating they will call him whenever this prescription is ready for pick up.

I am rejecting this response because: Stephen C the director of the pharmacy mentioned that This issue was finally fixed the week of Thanksgiving and this was not correct I have not gotten my medication for 1 month. The only way this issue would be resolved is by getting my medication ASAP.

I went to the store to get lunch today like I have many times in the past and was informed that they will not accept my gift card anymore. I paid for this gift card and it still have a balance on it. I find this to be completely unacceptable. They have stolen my money and I want it back!

On Saturday 23rd 2019, I was shopping at the Safeway(#***). I often sit at the lounge area across from Starbucks kiosk. I have done the same routine almost over a year. I have been shopping at Safeway stores more than 40 years without any problems or issues. I am a retired70 years old, class 1980 Portland State Univ. Alumni member. At about 9:00pm on that date
I went to bathroom area for a short time. Upon my return from bathroom, one of Safeway guy(No Tag) who also gone to the bathroom came out yelling and shouting at me, telling I clogged up the bathroom by putting napkins in there, and also he told me that " I come to
the Lounge area to eat every day, and make a big mess putting my foods on the table. Well
I did not reply to his first charge about the bathroom problem, because I actually did not use the bathroom Toilet on that occasion ( I mostly use Safeway bathroom for my medical and medicine replacements), And for his second claim about me sitting in the lounge and
make a mess, I told him yes, I have several item which I put on the table and make a full meals out of, but when I leave the area, the table is completely clean and wiped off. But,he
didn't agree with me,and keep yelling at me. I told him if he doesn't believe me, check the video camera installed right there over the Lounge are. Anyways, I left the Safeway, trying not to complicate problems. Then on Tuesday Nov.26th, 3 days after when I went back to the same Safeway, the same employee(No name-tag) provocatively approached me and told me to leave, and further to threatened me to call the Police. Then he changed his mind
and called the PIC. then shoppers listening to my explanations, and a shopper (by the name of Kara) came to assist me from that employee still raising his voice, and Pic(DAVID) told me I am 86 from store. I believe the PIC or other employees would support that particular employee, for one thing per say, he probably the most senior Safeway personnel, and I've seen him for 4 years.

first the location of my complaint wasn't listed so I selected the close the actual location is 1401 NE Mc Williams Rd Bremerton WA 98311. as for my issue I have been scammed 5 times in the last 2 years by their prices 3 of which have been from their "Just 4u" app. this app gives you additional savings over your already club card membership. however 3 times it's not given these savings the last of which what my complaint is of was a deal they offered $1.99 each with a limit of 4 instead of the $2.99 for just club members. I want them to either fix the program or stop it all together. I'm not looking to be reimbursed for the loss as I am not going out of my way for $4. this program as it is now is just a scam and only held accountable when users see the issue during customer service hours (9am-9pm) if not you are screwed over and have to eat the loss.

I shopped at Safeway on 5/14/2019 after loading “just 4 U” deals onto my store loyalty card. When I checked out my receipt states the time and date of 12:04am 5/15/2019.
Here is some of what I wrote to Albertsons in an attempt to be granted the deals for the shopping I did on 5/14/2019-
Upon examination of my Safeway receipt from 5/14/2019 I see that SEVERAL of the just 4 u and weekly add offers I added onto my loyalty card were not accounted for. Below is an accounting of them or lack thereof.
Save $9 when spend $90 (not applied)
Classico pasta sauce was supposed to be $1.99 each (charged 2 @ $2.50 each)
Oreo cookies were supposed to be $2.50 each (charged $3.34)
Gatoraid were supposed to be .79¢ each (charged 4 @ $1.25 each)
Lucern butter were supposed to be $2.50 each (charged $7.18 for 2)
Signature select ice cream were supposed to be $2.50 each plus save $1.00 on 2 (charged 3 @ $3.00 and 1 @ $2.24)
All of the simply juice and simply lemon aids were supposed to be 2 for $5.00 (charged 4 @ $4.49 each!)
My receipt shows I have been defrauded of $20! $19.84 to be precise. My total seemed high, at the store, so I questioned the cashier about the discounts; I was assured firmly that they had been applied correctly. I then asked the cashier for rain checks, they declined citing the store was closing an was told to come back the following day (for which products would no longer be on special) as what I was looking for would likely be restocked by then.
I did not return to the store the next day. I shouldn’t have to! One trip for the price of 2? in energy and time and gas to drive there spent, that doesn’t make the “sales” I was supposed to get a very good “deal” anymore.
I asked Albertsons to fix this n they declined stating that my receipt shows I shopped on 5/15/2019 and those deals expired on 5/14/2019. I replied to them about this discrepancy and noted that I was at self checkout and but made to stand in line at only manned-checkout, n that my receipt says 12:04am

It is clear that Safeway computer does not sum items to figure out balance properly. I paid more than needed to buy things. I am more interested to help Safeway do a better business with their customers than the refund they should give me. Thanks for your help.

I placed an order for groceries to be delivered. Paid and received confirmation that the order would be sent at 600p. I receive a call from Safeway in Renton stating..."The higher ups said they could not deliver the order today, do you want it to be delivered tomorrow or do you want to cancel?' I requested the order to be canceled and requested a refund. "The manager is not here until Tuesday and a refund could take a few days after that" I explained that I have no money left and need to eat today. I cannot wait until Tuesday. Shortly thereafter I received an email stating the delivery was being shipped along with a receipt that the money was debited from my account. I called back to the store and was told "yeah the order was pulled and charged while you called.
This is completely unacceptable. Now I have no food and no money to eat because of a "delivery coverage issue and management availablity issue. Safeway should be more responsible and have immediate accountability issues in place to refund money when a transaction did not take place. Safeway has basically taken food out of my children's mouth.

Today I came into the store to purchase groceries but I forgot my debit card so I decided to use a check. I have used a check in several businesses without a problem but this is the second time they have given me a problem. I know that once you process the check through their system to verify funds that should be it as long as you have sufficient funds. I have overlooked $4000 in my checking account and it definitely should of never been a issue yo cash a check for $90. The cashier left her station to talk to manager for what I font kno. Then she comes back and tell me if I have another form of payment and I yell her I shouldn't have to use another form since I know Ihat my account is way over 90 dollars. Another manager yells me the bank is holding up my check due to me not using checks alot. I call the bank they say no. Another manager tells me to make the payment a lower amount. Finally after me waiting 20 to 25 minutes for nonsense my check is ok. This is unacceptable and no o e should have to go through the embarrassment of having people look st you like your trying to scam. VERY UNACCEPTABLE and o request a apology

I just sent the Revdex.com an email today, Safeway delivers groceries to me sometimes when I have heavy things like cat liter. So, this is the 3rd time they screwed me over, I ordered stuff that was supposed to be dropped off between 9-11 AM well 11 comes and goes and I am pissed so I call corporate ( who knew they were there on the weekend?) So here is my response:

I am writing about the delivery service for Safeway. This is the 3rd time that they have either been late or not shown up. Presently, they are an hour late without a phone call from the driver. I had another appointment that I had to cancel. This happened another time when my groceries were 3 hours late and all I got was "whhoops sorry here iour next order": and now it has happened again. I tied to call and was put on eternal hold. Finally someone talks to me from the call s 50.00 off ycenter ( very pleasant) and tells me they will Refund my delivery fee. She also emailed the supervisor.
They admit they put it in their system as 9PM and not AM Therefore, it messed up my appointments for the day and I had to wait for another truck to go out. It will be after 4pm when they deliver them,. Unacceptable.
The reason I use Safeway is because I have a disability and they are good about carrying my groceries up the stairs but it exasperates my condition when I have to go up and down the stairs looking for my groceries.
This company should be ashamed of themselves.. It is disrespectful at the least. After many emails ( texting pictures of my delivery time) and phone calls. They admit they put it in their system as 9PM and not AM, Whoops it was an IT issue. They offered a 50.00 credit . Since this happened before Nope. not going to fly this time

Pharmacy gave wrong prescription and would not correct their error. Contacted pharmacy to have prescription moved from another pharmacy to them, explained that they had a better price ob the 20 mg pills over my old prescription of 40 mg pills. They said transferring prescription was no problem then contacted me by text several days later stating that the prescription was ready. I picked up prescription and paid for it but before leaving store noticed it was the wrong prescription, it was 40 mg pills not 20 mg pills. They honored my GoodRX coupon which clearly stated 180 - 20 mg pills so there was no reason to question the prescription. The pharmacy clearly made the mistake but would not correct it so I left the prescription with them and left the store.

On April 13th 2019 I went to Safeway on Pearl Street in Tacoma Washington I had purchased some items when I got up to the register there was a gentleman at the register who said that I did not have a price on the ham that I was purchasing. My daughter told him I was disabled and was there a way he could help us he continued to stare at us and not answer. So I walked back to the meat department and got a price on it. I am fully 100% disabled I have a brain injury I have a severe back and hip and arm injuries when I came back up to the register the cashier was gone a manager was standing there arguing with my daughter and threatening and told us that we would both need to leave the store or he would call the police. I feel I was violated I feel the manager nor the cashier knew how to help somebody that was disabled. I have been going there for three years I live one block from that store I have never had any problems before. My daughter was trying to explain to him that I needed assistance and obviously that was not welcomed in their business. So as of now I will have to go two and a half miles to another Safeway due to the fact that he didn't seem like he needed to help us. I have filed a complaint with the Disabilities Act as I feel I was unfairly judged.

Signature kitchens brand grape Jam. When selecting Jam over jelly it's not the taste that's the big change it's the consistency. Signature grape Jam that I purchased has the consistency of jelly not Jam. I remember the difference. If you remember jams or preserves as a child this is not it. There's very little difference between the grape jam and the grape jelly. I have both and you cannot tell the difference.

Tried to buy wine with my official temporary Hawaii ID. waiting to get my real one in the mail. Waited to buy wine for my dad’s birthday party tonight. Was denied at Kaneohe bay shopping center Safeway. The cashier and manager said it’s a company wide policy that they don’t accept paper IDs. It’s not just a print out or comply of my ID it’s an offical temporary, the back of it has a plastic protectant later. I’m clearly over 21. I’m 28! I’m extremely upset because this is so inconvenient!! Everywhere else accepts the temp ID. I will also take this up with the dmv, because these temporary IDs are supposed to be legitimate until the plastic card comes in the mail. This is not a deterrent for underage people this is just inconvenient for legal adults.

In November, 2018 I bought peeled garlic, arugula and a copy of The Oregonian newspaper. The bag of garlic was rotten and out of date. The box of arugula when opened smelled and looked like compost. It is unsafe and unhealthy to sell spoiled food!

I won't even get into my complaints over late deliveries, missing items not included in deliveries or items they don't deliver but charge me for. I just am asking for a refund for the disgustingly rotten produce and 3 day old Sunday newspaper sold to me mid week as the current paper.

I have written Safeway a whopping 19 times in the several months that have not replied to my emails sent via their site's form and through regular email. I know they're receiving the emails because they click on the Return Receipt Requested. They just ignore each request to be refunded for the 3 day old Sunday paper that they sold me mid-week in Cottage Grove. They also ignore the request to be refunded for the spoiled produce bought at their Woodburn store. I didn't even ask for refunds on the botched deliveries but in any case, they are apparently happy to keep my money for out-of-date and useless purchases but I see it as stealing.

Please let Safeway know that they must give me a refund or credit of some sort and that can't just keep ignoring me. They seem to think they are too big to have to take the time to reply to emails they receive. Please show them that is not the case.

I have shopped at Safeway for 45 years and at this location, for 37 years, including when it was two blocks north.

I am a reputable businessman in Bellevue and the founder of a local non-profit.

Tonight, January 10, I was seated at the tables. There are no signs stating any rules whatsover.

This is in an extremely wealthy neighborhood.

There were a few other customers at the tables also.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the night manager, a middle aged man, in a vest, came abruptly to all of us, and ordered us out of the building.

I left and as I walked past him, he said that I was not walking toward the door and told me where the door was, as if I didn't know!

I politely left as did the other customers. This was a few hours before the store closed!

A few weeks earlier, this same man actually asked me to open my jacket, as if to accuse me of theft.

I followed his request and showed that I had nothing in my jacket and he said it was OK.

This is henious . It is a total breach of trust, and is libel.

I didn't report it because I try to be a nice person, but with today's debacle, the relationship with Safeway is strained, at best.

I got a gift card for 25.00 I used it to buy bagels cigs and popsicles. on xmas. the next day o got bagels vitiman water and dairy free ice cream. I was walking out and saw the sushi and I attempted to buy it at the deli counter the lady said I needed 2.95 extra and my card only had 2.04 so I left. this monring I entered safeway I wanted to get 2 donuts for 1.00 my card didnt work, the lady who helped me out with the sushi transaction was working the deli and asked her why my card didnt work. she promised she voided it. my card should have 2.04 on it but it haas 0 zero. someone I assume the deli lady didnt void the sushi transaction

I was charged a service fee of 3.95 today, even though I chose the 4-hour window (1pm-5pm). I have been receiving groceries from Safeway for years, but this is the first time I've been charged like this. I talked to two customer service agents who couldn't help. I'm living on just social security and so I must watch every dime I spend!
