After months of trying to establish grocery delivery service and of being ignored by Safeway's customer service, registering a complaint on Revdex.com finally got a response. The result? Passing the buck by the respondent who said he'd follow through on resolving the issue. I have spent hours on the phone with supposed customer service reps who have no ability to solve or pursue issues based on the lack of response. I've even been lied to and made to wait by the phone for hours, having been repeatedly assured that the rep would call back and update any progress made. The problem has been dumped into yet another black hole. Nick E of Seattle is the one who should have followed through. No wonder Safeway rates a D- as a business. I would leave negative stars, if I could. Incompetency and dishonesty are Safeway's hallmarks.

This complaint is about the Junction City, Oregon Store. Ir has gone down hill in the past two months. It is understaffed, for one.

Items are marked at a price on the display shelf then ring up for more at checkout. No explanation. I found that today with an item that I was over charged for and it took me FIVE times to get the cashier to fix it!

I bought $50 worth of food today and when I got home my expensive mushrooms that I had paid for were not in the bags. I drive 30 miles each way to shop there. I was furious. I called the store and no one had seen them! Obviously they were given to another customer or the cashier took them for himself.

Horrible. Now I have to go down tomorrow to get my money back. What a waste of time. I do not trust this store. I tried calling the Store Manager but was told 2x he was not in today!

The Store director is never there and the employees have become rude and careless. Safeway does not care about me or their other customers and is dishonest about pricing.

They do not have a good policy for kicking out pets. Today was the last straw for me having to deal with my service dog being barked at by a pet in the store. The staff will claim they can't kick non service dogs out of the store, and it's becoming dangerous for people with service animals to even do GROCERY SHOPPING. This is disgusting. And the manager was not useful, either. AND, when I asked one of the staff if she asked the pet dog to leave (after she pet it), she said no and PET MY SERVICE DOG. Who does that!? Rude. Dangerous. Inappropriate. ILLEGAL.
I am APPALLED by the lack of respect for my service dog and the nonchalant attitude about an extremely poorly behaved dog being present in the store. Yet another symptom of the entitled Seattle dog owners thinking their untrained dogs should be welcome everywhere and that we should all love them.
They're lucky I had my service dog with me to help me through the confrontation, and they're VERY lucky that dog didn't get any closer to my dog, because I would have gladly brought an attorney into the loop.

I have been waiting for a refund for over a week now. I have called 6 different phone numbers, I have called corporate. All they kept doing was transferring my call, telling me they cant help me. The only number that can help me, is the one that keeps hanging up on me. I have spent 6 hours now trying to get ahold of someone. I have not been able to eat because they haven't given me my money back. No one will tell me the status of my refund. This is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I just want my money back.

Customers Service was outstanding! Very helpful. Willing and wanting to help. Never felt like I was wasting there time.

I am not sure this is the right Safeway, but their delivery service is awful. The first time they left all my groceries to melt on my door and the second time they did not show up at all. Nothing like getting charged 50 for groceries that were not delivered. Never use this service. EVER

Its not enough that you have to put in your phone number to get the lower prices on items, now you must get an app, that tracks you, and scan items to get savings.
Im stopping shopping there altogether now due to the increasing frequency of errors on ring ups, alway, yes always in Safeways favor.
Have to watch closely or youll get cheated. In my opinion a very dishonest store that is not only more difficult to shop in but wants your privacy information. Bye.....

We ordered 5 yellow roses, and 50 red roses for our 50th wedding anniversary. The roses were absolutely gorgeous, and very fresh.
The folks at our party were over whelmed by the roses, and asked were we purchased them, and we said East 1st St. in Safeway in Port Angeles.
We prefer to purchase our flowers from this Safeway compared to a florist shop for the simple reason of quality, price, and the excellent service by the staff.

My local Safeway supermarket has kept on giving me parking tickets when I parked my car to shop in the supermarket. At the end of March, they gave me a ticket after I finished shopping in the store. One week later, when I tried to shop in the store again, they tried to give me another ticket. Last year, they gave me a ticket at this very same store. I feel that they targeting me for some personal or malicious reasons. I tried to appeal their ticket to their parking service, and they just denied me. I rarely shop at this Safeway because there's one closer to me, but sometimes I would shop here if it's on my way home. It seems like they are actively looking for me to give me tickets. Moreover, I didn't even get a ticket, they just straight sent a bill to my home. I will never shop at their store again but I want this issue sorted out.

Second Request for Safeway Purchase Dispute

Safeway needs to be held accountable because they cannot keep selling compromised gift cards. They sold us not one but two gift cards that we compromised before we could use them.
We bought a $400 gift card from Safeway in March 8th. The gift card was for ***. When we tried to use the gift card at *** in Kent, next to our house, it said the pin was invalid and our purchase was declined. The cashier told me to go back to Safeway since we bought the gift card from them.
We went back to Safeway (Location No. 1966) and talk to the Manager. She stated that the same thing happened before to another customer that bought a *** gift card. Then they said we need to go back to *** because it was a *** Card.
We went back to *** and had the bookkeeper look up our gift card number. It had been used at a *** in Everett, WA and there was nothing we could do to trace or get the gift card balance back.
I assumed it was only a *** issue because the Safeway store manager said it happened to another customer. But in May we bought a $15 gift card for *** from the same exact Safeway and it was also declined at the register.
Safeway needs to be held accountable because they cannot keep selling stolen/compromised gift cards and just blowing us off as not their problem.

was a safeway customer for food delivery , now they are refusing to deliver or give a refund . Very bad service . got ripped off.

I purchased a $300 gift card for *** at the Marysville Wa Safeway. Fifteen minutes later I went to use the gift card at the Marysville *** and they told me the gift card was empty. I went back to Safeway and they said it wss ***s issue and *** said it was a Safeway issue. I've been going back and forth with both businesses and no one will refund my money.

I HAVE RECEIVED 3 GIFT CARDS FOR SAFEWAY.. I HAVE LEARNED THAT I CANNOT USE THEM FOR DELIVERY. I SUFFEER FROM RA, AND PARKINSONS, AND CAN NO LONGER VISIT YOUR STORES. HOW CAN I USE THESE CARDS ? I HAVE SENT 5-6 E-MAILS WITH NO REPLY, PJONED 4 TIMES TO BE PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE FROM YOUR FINE CO, CONTACT ME.

I placed by first Safeway order on December 4th, 2017 and chose a 7:00pm-8:00pm delivery window. My delivery was not made and at 8:20pm, I placed a call to their customer service number provided on their website. The website specifically states that their customer service line is open until 9pm local time. However, when I called, the recording said they were closed and to call back during normal business hours tomorrow. I've called about five times since then and I've spoken to three different supervisors, the last one being extremely rude and refusing to give me the name of the Operations Manager that supposedly called me on 1/21 (stating privacy laws). To this day, I have not gotten an explanation of why my order was cancelled. Per the representatives that work at this company, every time an order gets cancelled, they are supposed to provide a reason (in the system). There is no reason for the cancellation, nor has anyone reached out to me since.

I know it was not my form of payment, as I regrettably had to order from them two more times since December. The second order was late and the third order was okay. However, they are poorly managed, they are "third party" and per customer service, are separate from Safeway. Their workers/delivery people leave the grocery store around 1-2pm and so I kept getting the run around before I found out what happened to that first order. Horrible company. The first delivery person that showed up told me that the four customers he'd delivered to previously that night all had the same complaints.

For such a large company, you would think they would have better customer service and follow through. At the very least, you would not expect supervisors to be so ill-mannered, condescending, and responding to you with the phrase "Whatever", all the while telling you that you are wrong and "what do you want me to do about it?" I will never do business with them again, even if I'm too sick to leave the house.

I was over charged $8.59 tonight (ad clearly states 4 for $8.88, was charged $17.47 plus taxes) and was late to my volunteer work at my church so left but got even madder thinking about going back tonight so I came home. I live 15 minutes away from Safeway when the traffic is good, 25 minutes when it is not, so at least 30 minutes round trip plus gas. I have been overcharged before but only a dollar or so and I am very tired as it should never happen.

I ordered a cooked Thanksgiving dinner from the local (29th St.) Safeway in Spokane, WA. The ads show a steaming turkey surrounded by steaming sides of food. Nowhere was it mentioned in print or the graphics that the entire Thanksgiving dinner is pre-packed frozen, generic-brand items - nothing in the dinner is fresh cooked or ready to be served. Also, the dinner was pre-ordered, but some of the sides were never delivered to the store. Customers were notified in person when they picked up their dinners Thanksgiving morning - most other stores are closed that day at options are very limited. I called the manager to complain and he stated he would offer me a full refund two hours before my guests are supposed to eat...really? Also, the frozen turkey in this dinner needs to be thawed for three days- if you know the meal is frozen and the customers don't, it probably makes sense to REQUIRE pickup three days before Thanksgiving? Pre-packaged frozen food also requires access to a stove, pots and pans, and a sink to clean up the mess - this was not a dinner ready to eat by any means. Safeway's false advertising led to a lot of unnecessary stress and emotional pain for our family this year (much more than the $59.48 we are out); hopefully, by requiring Safeway to use accurate advertising in the future - no other family will have to go through this nightmare on Thanksgiving next year...

Have purchase (grocery) through Safeway.com and 1 item of USD20 app. Was never delivered. I have sent more than 10 emails to their “delivery support” and called e eryday for the past 20 days and was never answered. No one picks up the call and I have waites in the line for more than 30 minutes and never managed to talk to anyone. No other way to contact. Physical store claims they cant do anything. Feeling harmed by a comoany thar has no respect to their consumer. I used to do my grocery every week for months and first time they failed with the delivery I had no assistance at all... appreciate if anything can be done.

On 10/4/2017 one prescription was renewed by telephone. This prescription is fully covered and costs no money. I asked my spouse to pick it up on 10/6/2017. When he did he was told it was almost $400.00, and not knowing what to do he paid for it. When he came home, I discovered that a very expensive inhaler (that is not covered by insurance) had also been refilled. I contacted the pharmacy and asked them who had authorized this prescription to be renewed because it was not the one I had called in. I asked them who had input the prescription into the computer system. After evading an answer they finally looked at all my prescriptions in the system and determined that when it was entered by their staff member it had been set at auto-refill. They also said another one had been set at auto-refill. I explained that this inhaler prescription had been filled a month ago for a one time emergency. I asked them if this was their policy to automatically do this without the customers notification or knowledge. They evaded answering. I also explained that this auto-renewal had decimated our HSA and now we know longer had money to cover a needed eye exam, and 2 dental appointments, one of which is for a child. They had no comment other than they could not help me because he had paid and left the store with the medication.

I placed an online order with Safeway.com on 10/1/17. I chose the time for delivery on 10/2/17 between 7-8pm. I received a call from a restricted number at 5:44pm on 10/2/17. The woman on the other end explained that the delivery could not be made that night and would need to reschedule for the following day. I chose the time between 1-3pm. I left work/school early to meet the driver. No one came and there was no phone call to indicate they were late. I tried called their customer service line but after 20 minutes and still on hold, I gave up. I emailed their customer service to complain and no one has responded. They charged my account in the amount of 41.17 altogether for a delivery I never received. This seems very suspect as it was intentional to not deliver my order but instead take the order and perhaps resell it, otherwise they would have either delivered my order or have called. The restricted number seems very odd to me as well.

Charging me to a total of 10 lbs of steak but only receiving 7.5lbs of steak.

When I called customer service 1-877-505-4040 to see why I wasn't given the total 10 lbs (5 - 2lbs) of steak I was told a number of different reasons listed below.
1) That I okayed subs. (which I did, but that doesn't mean I should get less then what I paid for)
2) That they don't guarantee 2 lbs quantities (I understand - but then I should only be charged for what I did get)

After being on hold and forwarded to three different people wasting 45 minutes of my time. I talked to a supervisor, Keela, who said I was out of luck that they would do nothing for me. I asked for either the remaining steaks be delivered or to credit me back the difference. (roughly $9 -10) She refused.
I told her that Safeway was charging me for product that I didn't receive and I don't understand how they could do that. She hung up on me.
