Just finished buying a few pieces of furniture from Sam's Furniture on Hulen Bend BlvdDorthy meet us with the most pleasant welcome we could have hadImmediately was working to get us to the furniture we planned to look for and coordinate furniture with the colors and coverings that my wife was looking forIf your looking to buy furniture, you need to go visit Dorthy

I recently went into the store to purchase a recliner chair, when I went into the store I felt like maybe I should buy a bed and a dinning room setThe young lady advised me they had a lease to own agreement that reports to the three major credit bureausI agreed and I advised her, this would be short term and I would be back in January to purchase my furniture in fullI was told if I came in with a thousand dollars they would let me have the furniture but I had to pay it off by the 20th of JanuaryI go in today and the story change now she wants me to pay the full 1500, for my furniture after I have given the alreadyI told her my husband spoke with someone and they told him to bring back in the dollars and we can have itI just feel like I was robbedlike reallyI wouldn't recommend this store to anyone due to the horrible customer service and the lies they tell to their customers

On Nov 2016, we bought a coffee table (T478-20), two end tables (T478-17), zero wall recliner (3840052), love seat (3840094), and a 2-seat reclining sofa (3840081) at Sam's Furniture on North Storey Road, Suite 160, Irving, TX Prior to the purchase, we informed the sales rep (Gabriela Pineda) that I was in the military and we were stationed in San Angel, TXWe wanted to know if the warranty covers that areaGabriella went to go verify and upon coming back she informed us (my wife, father, and I) that their warranty is valid anywhere an Ashley's Furniture was located and San Angelo, TX is an area that is coveredMid-January we started noticing that the fabric was tearing in multiple areas and called the store to inform themInitially we were told by Kissie (817-945-1090) that another person would take care of the warranty info and we would get a call backWe waited two weeks and did not receive a phone call so we called againKissie answered and informed us that they could give us new furniture if we brought the furniture to themWe told her that we live over four hours away from the store and were told this area is covered under warrantyShe told us she would have the manager call usOnce again, the manager didn't call us and we had to call themAfter months of repeatedly calling the store manager (James McDonald @ 817-349-6119) told us all they can do is replace the furniture if we bring it to themWe explained that we did not have a truck and lived over hrs away and were informed before we purchased the furniture that the area we currently live in was covered by warranty which is why we purchased the furniture at Sam’s in the first placeAll he could say is that he apologizes if the sales rep "misspoke" and they have never covered warranty outside of the DFW areaKnowing that we are in the military and were only going to be stationed in San Angelo for months, we specifically verified the warranty information with the sales repJames would not address the lie we were toldWe even asked for a complete refund if we brought all the items backJames said no and that all he could do was replace the furniture that is ripped if we paid to transport both the old and new pieces

It appears that we are of a different opinion on the required steps to take for your concern Our counsel has advised us that because we have not received a case number and official notice as a listed creditor, we are not obligated to removing or adjusting your account history with Sam's According to the lease agreement you signed with us, you agreed to the payment terms of the account If you would like to pay the balance of your account, we would then be able report your payment history with a "Paid Charge Off" and reflect a $(zero) balance with us There is a helpful article from Experian here if you would like to read more: http://bit.ly/ShereeLoganThank you,*** *** * *** ***

I recently paid off an account with ***'s Furniture I was never late on my account and I paid it in full, however they reported my account as "Closed" which has negatively impacted my credit scores with the credit bureaus I contacted the company and they explained that is normal This is not "normal" practice and should be reported When a customer makes the effort to pay their account timely every month (and sometimes pays more than what is actually due), it is not ok for them to be able to misreport those efforts by calling the account, "CLOSED" It should be reported as, "PAID IN FULL." They are not willing to correct this issue and say it is their practice

We understand there was a miscommunication and greatly apologize for this. We are happy to discuss the situation with the customer, please call the South Fort Worth store and speak with *** (Lease Manager) or *** (Store Manager) at ###-###-#### Thank you, ***

Sam's
I am very sorry for your inconvenience. Clearly there is a breakdown with our process
and software and I have taken steps to help fix this issue. I am not sure how your number got on a call
list, but I assure you we will work hard to correct the issue.
If the number we are calling is the same on this complaint (###-###-####),
I do hope we have removed it from our system.
If we are calling a different number, please let me know. Also, if you do hear from us at point in the
future about this matter, please let me know personally and I will again get
involved to resolve it.
Thank you for letting us know the situation and I hope our
action does take care of your frustration and distrust of our company
