RE: id # [redacted]Date: 11-12-2015Dear [redacted],This is in response to claim id #[redacted] for [redacted]. He claimed a dispute of damage to his car on 10-9-2015; however, our liabllity is limited to the following as per our contract which limits our liability, see attached...

ticket/contract. The customer receives this ticket on the day that they enter the lot. SDAP maintains the upper portion which is filled out by the customer; the customer maintains the bottom part of the ticket as their contract and claim stub. Mr. [redacted] received ticket number 11-312, see the attached ticket that he filled out when he entered the lot; and see the attached sample ticket for your reference. There has been an investigation on this matter as Mr. [redacted] submitted a complaint form after he had left the property on 10-9-2015 with his vehicle and later returned to fill out the form alleging that there is mechanical damage to his vehicle. Upon SDAP’s investigation we concluded that there is no proof of any sort that the damage is from SDAP as SDAP is not llable for mechanical damage or claims that are submitted after leaving the premises. SDAP has no liability to the [redacted] claim. SDAP allows customers to file a claim in the office when damage to a vehicle is alleged, this helps the company investigate all complaints to help satisfy liability. SDAP concludes that there is no proof that SDAP caused the damage; thereby, the alleged information submitted by Mr. [redacted] and the estimate that he submitted for repairing the vehicle are denied and a follow up to Mr. [redacted] will be submitted. Mr. [redacted] was first contacted about one week after his claim by [redacted]. SDAP has no liability as per our contract. Please advise us if there any further issues otherwise SDAP considers this matter closed.Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: I recently used SDAPCo. to provide airport shuttle service & keep my car while we went out of town for 8 days. I contracted w/ them on 9/20 when I left the car in their lot & we returned on 9/28, when I paid their fee for 8 days: my name is [redacted]. [redacted], & this is the name on the credit card. [redacted] is my husband, & the car is his.

Once we loaded our baggage into the car & got on the freeway, around 5:30 pm, [redacted] noticed that the steering wheel had a powdery substance on it, that the car's clock read 10:10, that the electronic miles-per-gallon readout said 1.0 , that there was a scrape on the side of the leather stickshift [redacted] that approximately 1/4 of a tank had been used. I had filled the tank immediately before the trip, & it averages 500 miles per [redacted], so there was no way a trip to the airport from Santee would use 1/4 tank.

As soon as we arrived home, [redacted] lifted the hood, suspecting that someone had either switched or disconnected the car battery, the only reason we know of that would re-set the electronics. What he found was a rusted socket, stuck under the hood up close to the windshield. We don't do our own auto repair: [redacted] has it serviced by the dealer, so it appears very clear to us that someone used our Altima for their own purposes in our absence.

Now I don't know whether this was done by a rogue employee, or whether the management has some involvement in this scam. I suspect the former, as I've never had anything like this happen in the many times I have used their service over the years. However, [redacted] has advised me not to report this to SDAPCo's manageement myself, because there is so much cross-border trafficking of God-knows what in San Diego. He fears our car was used for some unsav[redacted] transaction & suspects that there might be retaliation against us if we confront them, so we're only reporting it to your agency to create a paper trail if in fact this is part of a trend w/ this airport shuttle company.Desired Settlement: I would like SDAPCo's management to evaluate their staff, particularly any recent hires & especially those working the night shift, as these may be the likely suspects to have done this. *ecause of this situation, we will never use this company again.

Review: My automobile was damaged while being handled by the Company's staff during its storage in its parking lot. This damage was reported, documented, and a request for repair submitted by way of a repair estimate. On two occasions I was asked to allow up to 72 hours for a response, yet no-one called me back. I accused them of giving me a run-around during my last call to them. Damage repair estimate is $2148.01 plus cost of rental car for use during repair.

The damage report was filled in person with [redacted]. The evidence he agrees seems to indicate damage occurred between 12/27/2015 and 1/17/2016, due to the fact the vehicle's custom fit car cover I had requested be used, and was agreed by the valet to be used, was not in fact used. The car was filthy and the damage to the paintwork could be seen only after it had been later cleaned. [redacted] felt the damage would not have occurred if the cover had been used. I feel the damage may have occurred when the car was parked, which would perhaps be a reason the cover was not subsequently used so the car would become filthy and the damage not visible.

The vehicle was stored from 12/20/2015 through 12/26/2015, again from 12/27/2015 through 1/17/2016. The parking-storage fee of $125 was via 'Long Term Contract' for the period from 12/20/2015 through 1/20/2016.

I contend this damage is due to negligent handling by the Company's employees, and that there is legal recourse in this case despite any possible language to the contrary in their contract form, to wit language that is not permissible for legal defense is not enforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction.

I expect to now file a claim through my insurance company, and then possibly through small claims court. I have spoken on the phone with a Company manager, [redacted], and informed him the possible consequences of court action may include collection fees that could quickly increase the total.

I am now inclined to want a court judgement on record!Desired Settlement: Complete repair by my preferred repair shop (approved by [redacted]) according to estimate submitted, as prepared on 1/27/2015 by [redacted], [redacted] and full cost of car rental from [redacted] for the duration of the repair (estimate $250.00).

Additional costs that may result from slow action, such as changes to estimate.

Response:

This is in response to claim id # [redacted] for [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] claimed a dispute to the Revdex.com alleging damage to his car on 1-21-16 while parked at SDAP; however, our liability is limited to the following as per our contract which limits our liability, see ticket/contract attached. The customer receives this ticket on the day that they enter the lot. SDAP maintains the upper portion which is filled out on the same day as parking; the customer maintains the bottom part of the ticket as their contract and claim stub. Mr. [redacted] received ticket number [redacted], see ticket that was filled out when he had entered the lot; also included with this response is a sample ticket for your reference of the contract portion. There has been an investigation on this matter as Mr. [redacted] submitted a complaint form after he had left the property on 1-17-2016 with his vehicle and later returned to fill out a complaint form alleging that there was damage to his vehicle. Upon SDAP’s investigation we concluded that there is no proof of any sort that the damage is from SDAP; moreover, SDAP documented this damage on the date of entry as per the key tag that is completed on the day the vehicle enters the lot, plus he also submitted the claim after leaving the premises which was 4 days following from being parked at our lot. Mr. [redacted]’s 13 year old vehicle had other noted damage on the day it was parked in our lot as well as the same area that he indicated was damaged in the complaint. Our records indicate this damage previously plus it is impossible for us to assume damage after a vehicle has left the premises. Regardless of Mr. [redacted]’s alleged damage, there is no proof that SDAP caused the damage; thereby, the alleged information submitted by Mr. [redacted] and the estimate that he submitted for repairing the vehicle are denied. As stated on our claim form, the company is not responsible for damage unless we caused it and specifically our claim form states the following in support of SDAP’s position: 1) “SDAP assumes no liability except through our own proven act of negligence” 2) “Claims not reported immediately in writing prior to you leaving the property will not be considered.” In further support, SDAP followed up with Mr. [redacted] and spoke with him personally about his complaint as we were willing to allow our vendor to look at his vehicle to provide an expert opinion through our vendor; but Mr. [redacted] refused. We are always willing to try to satisfy a customer as our relationships with transportation and automotive vendors are business to business relationships, we are well taken care of and can always get great work with great prices and we were willing to try to see if we could find a way to satisfy Mr. [redacted] through one of our vendors; however, he was dissatisfied with any our suggestion and became angry. SDAP has scheduled for a gift to be sent for Two-Unlimited Parking Stays for his inconvenience and dissatisfaction. The letter is attached and he should be receiving this gift this upcoming week. Please advise us if there is any further issues otherwise SDAP considers this matter closed. Sincerely, [redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response contains falsehoods (so-called offer to inspect was actually in fact an offer to repair using their shop instead of mine; the damage did not previously exist, and in fact no noticeable damage or defect had been present or noted when car was entrusted to them) and lacks specific information of witness names that would implicate any parties who supposedly attest to the damage being pre-existing. The damage was not present upon storage entry. The car cover was not used, as it was requested to be and agreed by the valet to be; a layer of dirt best described as crud covered the vehicle when I picked it up, hiding the paint damage from my view. No one previously contested the obvious conclusion that their staff was responsible for causing the damage. The proposal (when I supposedly became 'angry', though I would say 'annoyed' instead) was that I trust them to restore the paint condition by using their repair person, whose work quality is unknown to me. They refused outright to let my preferred '[redacted] certified' repair shop do the paint match. I received just yesterday the two parking passes - should I wish to let them further destroy my vehicle following the evidence of their demonstrated untrustworthiness.

Review: We parked our vehicle in their lot on 4/18/13 and returned to pick it up on 4/21/13. Upon returning to the vehicle I found a large dent in the rear passenger panel. It was clear that they were aware of the damage because the large black Escalade that caused the damage had already left the lot and tried to claim that their vehicle had been damaged. The shift manager [redacted] reviewed the scene and agreed that there was no way that our vehicle could have caused the damage based of the dynamics of the parking spaces and the point of entry and exit. Not receiving a call back as promised we left our 1st message requesting a call back from [redacted] the owner/manager. We have repeatedly called the business and left messages for the owner to return our call over the last 5 weeks with a constant excuse that she is very busy and that we could not call her because she does not have a cell phone! Reading other reviews of this business we found the exact same complaint posted by a patron in March 2013. Its amazing that this business owner will leave me no option but to resort to legal action.Desired Settlement: To repair our vehicle for damaged caused while stored in their lot.

RE: id # [redacted]

Date: 6-17-2013

Dear [redacted],

This is in response to claim id # [redacted] for [redacted]. He claimed a dispute of damage to his car on 4-21-2013; however, our liability is limited to the following as per our contract which limits our liability, see attached ticket/contract. This ticket is a two part ticket that the customer fills out once they park the car in the lot. SDAP maintains the top part of the ticket; the customer maintains the bottom part of the ticket as their claim stub. Mr. [redacted] had self parked his car at the San Diego Airport Parking Company (SDAP) in assigned space # 446, see the attached ticket that he filled out when he parked; as such, the customer parks at his or her own risk. There has been a long investigation on this matter as a patron next to the [redacted] parked car had first claimed that the [redacted]’s had hit their car, and then when the [redacted]’s returned, they claimed that there car was hit. Unfortunately, both of these parties parked at the SDAP lot at their own risk and SDAP has no liability on [redacted]’s damage to his car that he claims happened while he was parked; there is no proof of any sort that the damage was there prior to being parked or while it was parked. SDAP has no liability to the [redacted] claim. SDAP allows self parked customers to file claims in the office when damage to a vehicle is alleged, this helps the company resolve cases whereby the responsible party comes forward and admits to being responsible for the damage to another car parked in the lot. SDAP received harassing calls from the [redacted]’s numerous times and whereby on the day of 5-31-2013 they called SDAP for a straight 3 hour time period utilizing various phone numbers of the following: ###-###-####, ###-###-####, ###-###-#### to try to get SDAP to be liable for the damage as they were not satisfied with the information that they got from the SDAP agent and thereby insisted to be contacted by [redacted] at this very same moment, they called approximately 100 times in this 3 hour time period after being told to stop the repeated harassing phone calls. This was the same date that [redacted] submitted his claim to Revdex.com. [redacted] then phoned [redacted] on 6-4-2013 to discuss his harassing phone calls and to ask him to stop. On the day of this phone call … [redacted] then submitted false information to [redacted] stating that SDAP had washed the car for them as they had requested this added service on the day they parked and thereby this could make SDAP liable for the cost of the damage that they were claiming. After [redacted] was working with the [redacted]’s to look into repairing the damage, [redacted] spoke with [redacted] again on 6-12-13 and he stated that he would be removing his Revdex.com claim. On 6-17-2013 the [redacted] claim investigation was completed and found that [redacted]’s statements to [redacted] were false regarding the car wash service---- supporting documentation validating the same is the attached [redacted] parking ticket that was filled out on the day that the car was parked, and it had no service for a car wash on it plus on the day of the return ----- the fee was only for parking as there was no charge for a car wash and thereby the [redacted]’s only paid a fee for parking the car. See attached credit card receipt.

It is clear that Mr. [redacted]’s anger has forced him to resort to false information to both Revdex.com as well as to SDAP. The [redacted] claim has no merit and even if it did SDAP has no liability. Please advise us if there any further issues otherwise SDAP considers this matter closed.

Sincerely,

[redacted]

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have just received Ms. [redacted]'s (Owner/Manager SD Airport Parking) response to my complaint and am absolutely flabbergasted by her statements. The only accurate claim is that our car was damaged while under her control on her property between 4/18/13 and and 4/21/13. Her own employee supervisor "[redacted]", after investigating the circumstances of the incident agreed that the damage was caused by a black Cadillac Escalade that was parked beside our vehicle and that there was no way our vehicle could of caused the damage. In addition we were never provided any contact info as to the owner of the other vehicle. It is true that we made multiple calls to Ms [redacted] in that she refused to return any of our calls for a six week period and only returned our call after we filed a complaint with the the Revdex.com. Then as recently as two days ago she agreed to repair our vehicle but we had to use her person who would do the work over the weekend off the books with no paperwork, obviously through some unlicensed, uninsured party.

Now she fabricates some story that we had requested that they wash our vehicle while in there possession (completely false) and since that never happened we are guilty of making a false claim and they have no responsibility. Ms. [redacted] is a piece of work and if you investigate other claims made on the internet you will find exactly the same "MO" of refusing to respond to claimants with damage to their vehicles while under their custody. She just refuses to return phone calls while her staff are coached to say she is "very busy" and then finally that "she doesn't have a cell phone" - also false! I intend to post these business practices of [redacted] and SD Airport Parking over the internet so that other members of the public understand the risk they are under by using their service. Hopefully the Revdex.com will see fit to warn other members of the public as well. I will also be filing a legal action to force Ms [redacted] to take responsibility for damage to our vehicle while it was stored on their property!

Review: I had them valet park my Dodge Challenger R/T (manual transmission) car while on a five day trip. When I returned on October 9 the interior smelled like the clutch was badly burned. When I started off in first gear the car shuddered (clutch chatter) so I immediately went back to file a claim with the counter staff. The staff at the counter was very nice and apologized and also told me the manager [redacted] should contact me in about three days. I have contacted them several times and now it has been over one week and they have not returned my calls to start the claim. They notified me not to take any action on the car until I am contacted by their manager [redacted]. I did take my car to a trusted garage to assess damage and get an estimate to have the car repaired.Desired Settlement: I want the car's clutch repaired and have their company pay for it.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have used SDAP to valet my car the last

three business trips prior to this incident. On this last occasion I

opted for a wash and hand wax. I am not sure how many of their employees

drove the car but it is obviously clear that the valet attendant who returned

the car to me did not know how to properly drive a manual transmission. I

also would like to point out the damage done by their staff could not be seen

from the outside of the car.

The car was parked in the street at the

entryway when the driver brought me my car. The male SDAP employee stated

as he got out of my car “Man, this car is a beast!”. As soon as I

got into the car, I distinctly noticed the smell of a burned clutch and when I

started off in first gear and the car shuddered. I drove about 20 feet and

stopped, but when I started off again the car shuddered again so I immediately

returned to SDAP’s parking lot and went in to file the complaint.

All this was less than two minutes of when I

was returned my car. After filing the complaint I was informed by [redacted]

at the front counter not to do anything, including repair the car, until I was

contacted by [redacted]. I did take my car down immediately after filing the

complaint to the [redacted], the garage that maintains my car so they

could get a look at the car and order any parts that may be needed later.

It took [redacted] 9 days to call me back, she then gave me a verbal agreement to

have the car repaired and to send in the bill and diagnosis for review by her.

Upon first inspection

on October 9, [redacted] wrote they could smell the burnt clutch and the

clutch chattered during their test drive. Later during the repair they

noted the clutch assembly showed signs of being extremely overheated.

Also noted in their receipt is they changed the tires about 2000 miles ago and

there were no clutch issues at that time. I have owned the car since

October 2009 when it was brand new, performed regular inspections since the

purchase, and have never had any clutch issues. I maintain my stance SDAP

employees were negligent and caused damage to the clutch in my car. I base that

on both the assessment provided by [redacted], and also the suspicious

comment that was said to me by the valet attendant. Please find attached [redacted] receipt with comments.

Review: I went to pick up my car from San Diego Airport Parking after a trip. They lost my keys including house key, car key, fob and a valuable key ring that was a gift to me. A woman named [redacted] seemed to be in charge and gave me 2 passes for unlimited future stays. She did not reimburse me for my parking fee. She also gave me an incident form to complete which required my address. Her company now had my keys (somewhere) and address. She asked me to call her after 4 or 5 days so that she could research the incident. I did so and left a voicemail. After 4 days she returned my call saying that she needed my vin #. I called her and said that this was all taking too long and that to minimize the vulnerability of my family, house and car, I would get all lost items replaced. She returned my call 5 days later and repeated that she needed my vin #. She didn't listen to my voicemail regarding replacing the lost items. I proceeded to re-key my house locks, replace my car key and fob, reprogram my car so that the old key would no longer work, and replace the lost key ring. These items cost $576.25 plus 10 hours of my time. I then sent her a letter with copies of all receipts and charges for my time and asked for reimbursement. I called 10 days later and left another voicemail. I did not receive a return call. A full 2 weeks after I sent my letter I received her response which included an apology, another free future parking stay and indicated that although the company "prided ourselves on behaving fairly and reasonably," it was bound by "the confines of our legal liability" to limit my reimbursement to $250. I sent her another letter stating that if I had been driving a late model car, the key/fob alone would cost over $300 and that her "confines of...legal liability" are arbitrary. I also indicated that I would engage my lawyer and make a complaint to the Revdex.com. I have not heard from her for more than 10 days.Desired Settlement: I do not believe that I should bear any expense for this debacle. I will waive reimbursement for my time and instead focus on being reimbursed for the balance of my expenditures, $326.25. Thank you.

Response:

This is in response to claim id # [redacted] for [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] claimed damages of $1,634.75 for cost to replace items that are not covered as per our contract; however, we will always cover items for a reasonable cost and will be fair to any party when we are negligent. In this case we are responsible for the reasonable value and costs of his vehicle keys which we discussed that we would replace, in fact regardless of $100 or $500 if that is the value for us to manage the incident -- we would pay it. Our cost to get Mr. [redacted]’ keys replaced would be $120 and we were willing to give him an additional $130 to cover other reasonable costs. If an individual wants to leave us with his diamond key chain ring or in this case his Tiffany key ring, we are not responsible as stated on the contract; however, we will do are best to be reasonably fair so as to try to satisfy the customer; but we are not responsible for personal items. Personal items are left at their own risk. We compensated Mr. [redacted] for the reasonable value of our same costs for his vehicle keys plus the additional $130 so as to be as fair as possible. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] paid 130% more and $270 for the vehicle keys that what we could have done for $120 and then Mr. [redacted] wanted to assume that we would take care of all other personal items plus his time. We have been in business for 25 years, we charge a daily parking rate of $9.75 per day – our goal when solving problems has always been from the start of being in business --- to be fair and to try; plus remain open in each incident as each issue is not always the same. In this case, we have given Mr. [redacted] 3 gifts of unlimited parking. Each can be valued at $125 per stay so we feel that we have been reasonable with our ability to try to find a way to bring some satisfaction to Mr. [redacted]. As noted our tickets do not have reference the customers address as Mr. [redacted] implied. The only time we would ever obtain an address is due to the complaint form. Regardless of Mr. [redacted]’ estimate that he submitted we have responded and SDAP concluded that $250 plus 3 unlimited stay parking coupons is fair and reasonable; moreover, we do not support a calculation for his time that he expects compensation. As stated on our contract, the company is not responsible for the damages that Mr. [redacted] states unless we warrant it to be reasonable, then we will always pay for the fair and reasonable cost or reasonable value of damages when we are proven to be at fault at that would be covered items. The following is in support of SDAP’s position as per the contract: 1) We require the customer to leave only their key that starts and opens the door. 2) We accept no liability for additional keys or damage to additional keys or other valuables left on the key ring or inside the vehicle. 3) Claims below $250 may be reasonably considered. In further support, SDAP followed up with Mr. [redacted] and spoke with him personally about the incident. Calls were made on Jan 2, Jan 5 and Jan 6th to request the VIN # to order his key. Mr. [redacted] called on Jan 8th and gave his VIN # for us to order the key and he indicated that he had been busy working; however, on this very same day in the afternoon, he went out and got the key without our knowledge until after it was done. We are always willing to try to satisfy a customer as our relationships with transportation and automotive vendors are part of our business to business relationships; as such, we are well taken care of and can always get great work with great prices. We wish that Mr. [redacted] would have given us a chance to handle his incident as once we get the VIN#; we get the key mailed overnight. Please advise us if there is any further issue otherwise SDAP considers this matter closed. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: Dear Revdex.com,The complaint is against San Diego Airport Parking for a parking overcharge from Friday, May 24 - Tuesday, June 4. I had a coupon for $7.75 per day (coupon number: [redacted]) downloaded at: http://www.[redacted] . I contacted San Diego Airport Parking and I spoke with [redacted], Customer Service Representative on Wednesday, May 15 to verify the $7.75 coupon price per day and she indicated yes theyll honor the coupon price, please bring and present the coupon when you check-in, so I reserved parking for Friday, May 24 - Tuesday, June 4. However, on May 24 when I arrived several hours before my flight and presented the coupon to Customer Service Representative [redacted] he was quite argumentative and indicated the San Diego Airport Parking would not honor the coupon because it was a holiday weekend. But, the coupon did not have blackout dates and my parking extended beyond a 3-day weekend; I was charged $8.75 per day for 11 days of parking which is unethical. As a senior citizen on a fixed income, I'm requesting an investigation of San Diego Airport Parking business practices because if I had known they would not honor the coupon; I would have made arrangements with another airport parking company. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Sincerely[redacted], **.Desired Settlement: A refund of $11.88 Breakdown - $11.00 price difference per day of parking for 11 days and 8% sales tax (.88 cents) = for a refund of $11.88

Revdex.com of San Diego

A great deal of money and two gift cards were stolen from my purse. It was dumb to leave a purse in the car, but I did not think I would be valet parking it. I expected to park and walk away with the keys. When I got there, they forced me to have my car valet parked. I was worried about arriving late for our flight, so I agreed. Big mistake! I should have left and parked someplace I would get to keep my keys. At least then, if your car is broken into, there are obvious signs like a broken window or lock.

The money was stolen either by one of their employees or when they left my van unlocked and completely unattended when they went to retrieve it. When we arrived on the shuttle it was sitting out front completely unlocked and unattended. Either way, they are responsible.

There were also several small scratches on my bumper. I could tell they were fresh because they still had the paint puckered and hanging on.

I have filed a claim with them, but their only response was that they asked their employees and they all denied taking the money (big shock.) The fact is, they are certainly liable for the conduct of their employees. Their employee either stole the money, or left my van unlocked so that someone else could steal it! I have learned a valuable lesson that I want to share with future unsuspecting customers. If an employee will steal money, he/she will steal anything left in your car. Change from an ashtray, a ring forgotten in the console, or a child's ipad left in the backseat would all be fair game. No vehicle can be completely cleared of valuables before allowing it to be valet parked. Leaving valuables in your own car is not a license to steal for the person parking or retrieving it. Someone from this company stole from me, and it could happen to you. The company will then do absolutely nothing to help you. Beware!

The woman investigating asked me what happened. After I told her the entire story she told me she completely believed me. They still declined doing anything to help me. They did not reimburse my money, fix the bumper they damaged, or even offer to refund the very large fee I paid for parking in their lot. (A fee that was higher than it should have been since I had a coupon that they had told me via email they would honor, but refused to do so when I brought it to them at the office.)

I just wish someone had warned me about parking there prior to my losing so much money.
