I contacted Ivan this morning, the samples were completed by 2pm! I told him I didn't have the full amount and he is working with meHe is absolutely wonderful! The tech who came out was very nice and made sure he was 15ft away from the doorI would highly recommend this company!

In early March I contacted Savon Home Improvement, (Owner Ivan Money), to conduct a mold/environmental test at a property I own in PhoenixIvan responded immediately, same day, and the lab tests were sent later the same dayThe quick response was unexpected and appreciatedHowever, the quality and integrity of the process coupled with Ivan’s follow up and poor customer service skills were not worth the money I spentSavon conducts the environmental tests, but they are also in the business of remediation
After the tests were completed, Ivan sent me the wrong customer report which indicated moldThis created a high degree of stress and trouble for my familyIvan realized he sent the wrong report then sent the correct one apologizing for the mistakeIvan said that although there was no excessive mold present, he did suggest I do a cleaning of the A/C system and promptly sent me an estimate for the work, $
I would have considered hiring him for the A/C work, but wanted first to clear up a serious problem I had with the reporting of the testIt did not have my full name or address on the report (several blanks on HIS paperwork) and was essentially useless to meI spoke to Taylor at Savon and told her my concernsOnce Ivan realized I may not being using his company for the A/C work, Ivan sent several texts that showed his true customer service skills
After my conversation with Taylor, Ivan sent a text that included the following excerpts:
“…just to let you know when I fill out paperwork it’s got nothing to do with you,” and then mentioned he could write down anything he wantsIvan went on to write, “…you need to get all this cleaned so you should find someone to do this because I really don’t have the time….” I trust if I agreed to pay the $750, Ivan would find the time
I immediately called Ivan to discuss the lack of completeness on his paperwork but he said since I was considering not hiring him he would not listen to anything I said and abruptly hung up the phone
Ivan’s performance shows that he is only interested in doing quick work and being paidIvan’s estimate, which did have my name and address, did have a list of the services to be performed, fogging, ac cleaning, air scrubber but only showed the overall total cost of $
Ivan said he would send a corrected report but I have yet to receive it

Unfortunately, this person is a tenant and he wants to get out of the property.  The owner of this property is happy with our services and she advice us about the tenants intentions before he actually submitted the review against out company.  We were hired to take care of a mold...

problem in the kitchen per the owner. That job was completed as requested on November 30th, 2016. After that we got a call to go back to check a crawlspace and our technician went back and treat the area and remediation was completed in that area as well. See attached pictures.Owner, called us and advise that her tenant was very upset and mentioned that he will "talk trash" about our company. At that time we contact him directly and provided him with pictures and proof that the job was completed and he started the "bad review campaign" against us.
You can contact owner directly to verify that job was completed and done satisfactory.

Regarding his comments about our company, our license is active not sure where he got that information from because everything is in order.
Any questions, please call us directly for additional information.

In regards to Mrs. [redacted] complaint #[redacted], we have finished the job that we were hired for at the time.  Sav On Home Improvement was hired just for mold and water damages, this is what we got paid for, not to repair or put back the house. This has been verified by the...

ROC. Mrs. [redacted] is confusing us with the other people who hired us to complete the mold and water damage.  We were hired by her plumber and the A/C representative.
In order to prove Mrs. [redacted] and anyone else that might read this complaint that she's confusing us with the other contractors and that we are the type of company that you want at your house, we are willing to go back to Mrs. [redacted] to put house together and no charge.

It is true that we performed a mold inspection at [redacted]. It was performed on August 7th, 2014 (as shown on the contract ATTACHMENT 1) and he was charged $165.00 for the inspection, lab test, and report. Visible mold was found, and a tape test was used to render the...

particles in the bathroom for analysis. The lab results were expected to be returned from the lab by the following Monday morning. Before sending Mr. [redacted] his lab results, we called him to let him know that he must pay for our services before we send him our reports. On August 13th, he finally called us back around 1:30pm, ready to pay with his credit card (ATTACHMENT 2). At the same time, we had sent him his lab results and mold report (1:26pm) to [redacted] as well as to his wife, [redacted], at  [redacted]. (ATTACHMENT 3) Later that week, we received a phone call from the property owner. I did not record her name, but she was upset that her tenants, [redacted] and [redacted], had not been paying rent and were trying to justify it with my mold inspection. She told us that this couple had been giving her problems for the last two months with not paying rent. She asked if we could send her the lab results and explain them. Unfortunately we were unable to do so. I explained to the owner that due to the chain of custody, I am not allowed to show the results to her, but that she may obtain them from the tenants or have a mold test taken for herself by another company. The following week (Aug1822), [redacted] called and requested that we perform another mold test, this time an air sample. We informed him that this test would be $295 because the labs that we use charges extra for analyzing air samples, and we have to use a special machine to obtain the air sample. [redacted] agreed that that was okay, so we put him on the schedule for August 25th, 2014. Before arriving to the home on [redacted] for the second appointment on Monday, August 25th, 2014, the coordinator, Alyssa, called [redacted] and asked if he would like to pay by credit card or check. [redacted] said he would pay by credit card when the test was taken. The air test was taken at about 2 PM (08/25/14) and pictures were taken. Later that day around 6:40 PM, [redacted]’s lawyer, Chinye, sent me an email asking if I would attend court as the mold expert for [redacted] and [redacted] (ATTACHMENT 4). I did not see this email until the next morning (8/26/13). [redacted] had called the office on the same day (8/26/14) asking for the lab results, [redacted] informed him that again he must pay for our original services first. [redacted] stated that he wanted to speak to [redacted]/me first to see if I would go to court, and that he did not have his credit card on him.   I then replied to Mr. Chinye, and informed him that during the mold inspection on the day before I had not agreed to go to court (ATTACHMENT 5). By 6:00 PM Mr. [redacted] had not paid for our services, so we sent him and his lawyer an email informing them that we would be cancelling the lab results and not continuing to go any further.   At no point in time, did we ever try to run his card a second time. Not only do we not have his credit card on file, but there are no transactions in our point of sale system that indicate any type attempt to take his money without his permission. He also claims that we did not comply with the contract. There is no contract whatsoever stating that we would go to court, and we especially would not do that for free when he had not even paid for the test that he wanted us to support. I would also like to add that our[redacted] licenses (#[redacted] and #[redacted]) are valid in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah under the license reciprocity, allowing us to be an alien contractor.

Sav On did a great job measuring the mold content of our house. Unfortunately, the first time they came out we did not have entry to the house but they were very courteous and came back the next morning to finish the job. The report was done professionally and fast. As a result of their findings we did not purchase the house because the mold content in the air turned out to be very high. We were lucky to have SAV ON check it for us. Great job guys!

Terrible company. I repeat TERRIBLE. These men are crooks. I had a $30,000 mold removal/renovation done by them and I was disappointed on a constant basis. [redacted] and his "builder" [redacted] run this game of manipulation from the start. [redacted] makes the client feel sorry for him by talking about how [redacted] cheats him out of money, then he says he's doing you all these favors that he can then try to use later on to try to weasel you out of more money in the end. [redacted] never seems to pay attention and for as many times as I asked him to send me an itemized list of work and supplies he never did. [redacted] takes control of the insurance company to "help you get the most money" but it is a way to take control of your money.

It took him a whole month to take the moldy wall pieces and carpet and misc trash from my yard and then in the end I had to pay $500 dumping fees out of my own pocket to dump it!

The word done was beautiful at first, but at closer inspection floor boards were cut too short and I had to have 3 of them replaced even though I was told several times they would expan a whole centimeter in some areas! The tiles started pulling away for the wall and I found out that the grout was never sealed. Now I am looking at having to spend yet another $3000 to fix a shotty plumbing screw up they did in the master bathroom where they did a double shower. I have water running down the back of the house where the shower they just did less than a year ago!

[redacted] left work undone. Sinks unfinished, tile unsealed, floorboards pulling up under the trim and terrible work. He also left a sick military wife of a 1year old (also sick) to clean a 2770sq/ft house of a centimeter worth of dust all over everything AND put ALL furniture back. Said it wasn't his job.

I spoke with [redacted] to express my concerns with all the dust and that I felt that the dust was very unhealthy for my daughter and I to be in because of the mold particles. He assured me they were all "dead" and that we probably are sick from something [redacted] was sick with. I had a separate company come and do a lab test for the dust/air in our home and guess what!? You've got it! Mold. Fully alive AND toxic black mold spores all over in our home. In the dust , in the air we're breathing. Follow this with another week stay in a shady motel and my being another $1000 poorer.

The only positive thing I can say is at least he didn't steal my money and not do any work, but a 3 month long mold renovation where at the end I was being kicked out of the hotel because the insurance company wouldn't pay for more time where the workers worked only 4 days a week and would go weeks without working because they would work until I got the check from the insurance company is just ridiculous.

Review: This company offered a service to perform a mold inspection, they presented them self as licensed in California. They collected the money and provided a report and offered to support they report in a deposition, once they colected the money they tried to cherge again and refused to comply with the contract.Desired Settlement: Refund of the money paid.

Review: They have collected the funds but have not finished the work. He frauded my insurance company for thousands of dollars for work he submitted but didn't need or do. My home insurance rate has gone up because of this. One of his staff actually divulged to me that he had done to several other people around the valley.

The contractor, Money, has on multiple occasions threatened and berated me to give him MORE money even though he received the money directly from the insurance company to do the job. On one occasion his was inches from my face yelling at me to sit down and cut him a check for $200.

The cabinets were not installed correctly. They are uneven and have gaps in the doors. They installed a used sink that doesn't function properly. There is damage to my kitchen floor which was never repaired. My home was left in disarray after they stopped the job. My electrical outlets are still missing their covers. Cheap piping was used for my dishwasher and I had to pay someone to fix and replace it.

Mold was allegedly found on the cabinets. The contractor placed it in regular trash bags, it was not labeled as hazard, and was sitting on the back patio. I requested on multiple occasions to have it removed and finally had to remove it on my own.

I was without water for 36 days. Other companies that I talked to said I would of had my water back within 5-7 days. He is not licensed to do plumbing and is not licensed to hire a plumber but still brought in his own plumber and was reprimanded through the Registrar of Contractors. On one occasion I came home to find the plumber he hired jumping my fence out my yard and when I confronted him he took off running.

This job was estimated to take two weeks to complete but it took him a month to fix the plumbing and close to 4 months to get the cabinets installed. A total of 4 months for the job and still isn't completed.

He has on several occasions not showed up or called when he was scheduled to work. Excuse after excuse why thingDesired Settlement: I would like their rating to be changed from A to F. This is a disgrace that they have an A rating after the nightmare that they have put me through. This should not be allowed to happen to other people. The job isn't finished but I will never allow this company back in my home. They made me feel like I was in danger of being hurt.

Review: [redacted]/Savon Home Improvement acted fraudulently and in bad faith. [redacted] did

demolition and renovations not authorized or warranted. Mr. [redacted] acted fraudulently

in representing the cause a water leak and the extent of the water damage. Mr.

[redacted] also committed insurance fraud in submitting an estimate for work performed that

he did not perform or was not necessary in order increase his cost. Mr. [redacted] took advantage of a man

who was 96 years old and hard of hearing at the time he signed contracts and used

intimation and abuse to try to extract payment.

List of complaints against [redacted]/SavOn Home lmprovement:

1. Mr; [redacted] had home owner sign an open contract not listing the work to

be performed.

2. Mr. [redacted] told home owner he would need to pay only the insurance

deductible of $1000.00 and Mr. [redacted] would get Insurance to pay the

remainder.. No estimate was provided directly then or later to

Home owner, [redacted] provided no contact to home owner

between 8113114 and4l23l15. :

3. . Mr. [redacted] submitted an Invoice to Insurance with fraudulent charges.

4. Mr. [redacted] did misrepresent the cause of the.leak to Insuranc adjuster several times

and to home owner's son on two occasions. Mr. [redacted] first stated to son

in September 2014 that the cause of the leak was an angle stop valve

behind the toilet. When pressed about removal of shower enclosure in master

bath on 4/24/15, Mr. [redacted] stated the leak was caused by installation,of

fiberglass shower enclosure in master bath. Mr. [redacted] first stated toInsuance adjuster

the leak was due to pipe burst under the shower. During the inspection by Insurance adjuster

, Mr. [redacted] remembered the cause of loss was angle stop valve to water

line to master bath vanity. When Mr. [redacted] was later pressed by insurance adjuster

about the removal of shower enclosure in master bath, Mr. [redacted] said the leak

was caused by shower valve leak. There is no evidence that the shower valve or

feed lines to valve were replaced or worked on (photos).

No item in Mr. [redacted] invoice mentions shower valve. One water pipe feed to

vanity was cut at about 3ft from where an angle stop valve would have been in

vanity ( photos) and was resoldered

together after drywall on kitchen side was re-installed ie burn marks

and repair in photos. Mr. [redacted] told owner's grandson he had to cut pipe behind

vanity to make leak more believable to insurance company. The real cause of the

leak is still unknown.

5. SavOn Home Improvement/[redacted] removed drywall and tiles from hall bath

then replaced drywall and tiles without written or oral approval from home owner.

No remodeling was approved. Home owner was waiting for

grandson to move out before doing any renovations so he could sell home.

Removal of drywall and tiles was listed on SavOn invoice but not the

replacement. No tub/shower faucet hardware was replaced (have

photos). The old tub was not replaced. Tub was going to be replaced

when renovations were to be done. So why just wall?

6. SavOn Home Improvement/Mr. [redacted] demolished kitchen cabinets and master

bath vanity without justification: No evidence was provided for their removal. In

previous water damage in May 2014 the water mitigation company did not

remove vanity cabinet or drywall in hall bath, but removed kick plate below

vanity and dried out undernebth cabinet and drywall.

7.Replacement of kitchen cabinets and vanity could cost between $5000 to $10000.

Removal of drywall on kitchen side could have been accomplished from master

bath side. No evidence was provided that drywall needed to be replaced. In a

previous water leak, it just needs to be dried out. :

8.No evidence was given as to origin of water leak, so removal of shower stall in

master bath was unnecessary. If water removal/repair was needed behind shower

stall it could have been accessed from hall bath when drywall/tiles were removed.

Access to shower stall valves and pipes could have been accessed from kitchen

side without shower stall removal as valve and pipes are behind refrigerator.

The invoice dated 4/30/l5 by [redacted]/SavOn Home Improvement is an

attempt to intimidate (charge for the lien and 10% interes|. Home owner is not

given credit for the $1000.00 he pre-paid in any invoices from [redacted].

To date no lien has been filed, as [redacted]/SavOn Home Improvement has

failed to meet the filing deadlines to file a lien.

[redacted]/Savon Home knprovement failed to provide evidence of damage to

home owner or insurance co.. This is a common practice performed by

contractors when they know insurance will be involved. This is an attempt by

[redacted] to cover up unnecessary demolition in kitchen and master'bath.

.Desired Settlement: Savon Home Improvement/[redacted] suspend attempts to collect any more [redacted] from home owner and accept his losses. Drop all collection threats such as law suits or liens. Leave an old man alone and let him live his last days in peace.

To Whom it May Concern at the Revdex.com,My name is [redacted] with Sav On Home Improvement, head of quality control with our business, in response to [redacted] complaint. We were called out to take care of a water damage for Mr. [redacted], whom is the legal owner of the property. This complaint is not being sent in by the customer that hired me, but rather submitted by [redacted] who tried to fix the property himself and actually further damaged the property. He caused the water damage and the mold problem resulting in the illness of his relatives. Not only did we help [redacted] take care of the water damage and mold present at the home, but we also helped obtain full payment from his insurance company to cover the costs. If the work was fraudulent, the insurance would have disputed the costs rather than pay the [redacted] to Mr. [redacted]. After the [redacted] family received full payment for our work, they refused to forward the [redacted] to us. Furthermore, we had to hand over the lien to our legal department. Mr. [redacted] brags about being able to rip us off by stating it is too late to put a lien on the house, and therefore I will be forwarding over the verification of the lien. Please inform to Mr. [redacted] that I will not be handling this anymore and that our legal department is. I do not believe this complaint should be held against us because the accusations are untrue.

Response:

To whom it may concern at the Revdex.com and [redacted],While customer satisfaction is a huge priority to Sav On Home Improvement, we can not agree to waive over $7,300 for a job that we successfully completed. We have pictures (attached) of the water damage and of our company extracting the water. If you would please re-read this whole case [redacted] is asking us to "accept our losses" with his father's job. Again, I would like to point out that [redacted] is not one of our customers- we do not have a contract with his name on it. It is sort of ironic as we should be the ones putting in a complaint for [redacted] because he took advantage of our company and let us perform all of the work and then kept all of the [redacted] from the insurance company. It has been confirmed by the insurance company the a check for our services has been send to [redacted]. At this point in time, this file has already been sent over to legal and I believe a fair settlement would be for Mr. [redacted] to pay us the $7,327.35 and we will remove the lien and tell our attorney to stop calling. I am also wondering where I can report a complaint on the Revdex.com because this claim is very unwarranted, yet the Revdex.com expects us to reach a settlement otherwise our rating may go down. Are there any tips or recommendations for a complaint such as this? How can we keep our rating up?Thank you.

[redacted] is a hot head. We did not hear from them for over three months and then we received a threaten phone call to sue us because we had "his" money. Well, He is dealing with two third parties. That is where the problem is. The checks for him came to us to sign, the checks also included our mortgage company as a third signature. So when we signed them, they were now in the hands of the mortgage company. The mortgage company did not deliver them. How can I keep the money when the checks required three signatures? Before dealing with this company, get all of your ducks in a row. They do good work but, his handling of business leaves a lot to be desired.

Do not use this company for a mold inspection.

In order to conduct a sound assessment for the presence of mold in a home, one needs two air samples–one inside the home and the other outside. The spore count outside provides a baseline for which to compare the spore count inside the home to.

The two Sav-On representatives who visited our home took one air sample with the doors and windows wide open! This led to a high spore count. The data we were sent made no sense because it was just one sample and there was nothing to compare it to. Sav-On then highly recommended we start remediation as soon as possible based on their nonsensical tests and “professional opinion”, which brings me to my next problem. This company also remediates homes (CONFLICT OF INTEREST!).

When looking for a mold inspector, make sure you are not dealing with a company that remediates homes. They may alarm you for no reason and make you sign a contract which locks you into using their remediation service. After educating ourselves a little on the inspection process, we went with a second opinion that was more expensive but well worth it. Sure enough the presence of mold was negative (spore count inside the house was 3 versus 150 outside). We also got a thorough analysis of the results indicating possible allergens, water damage indicators… (We had none of these!).

Mold is everywhere so don't be alarmed if a few spores are detected in your home. Certain types of mold (Chaetomium, Memnoniella, Stachybtrys, Ulocladium etc.) ARE indicative of water damage so watch out for those!

My recommendation would be to analyze the types of mold spores in the lab report yourself and if anything looks questionable, get a second opinion.

Good Luck! Hope you have a better experience than I did!
