The experience in water damage clean up and restoration with SavOn was not good. Poor customer service to the degree of being bullied when the work was reported to be unsatisfactory. The supervisor never evaluated the work that was deemed unsatisfactory; instead we were scolded and told we would never be happy so we would need to purchase our own cabinets after a cabinet maker was brought in and did sub-par work. The color of the boxes were different than the original doors and door fronts that were used, the drawers did not open correctly because hardware was cut to fit in the new boxes. Paint was spilled in areas that were being repaired, molding was not replaced and tile was chipped. They left the job unfinished then requested more money. An estimate was never provided, and invoices were never provided. SavOn agreed to use the insurance companies estimate, but never followed through with the work on the estimate.

Review: I hired Sav On Home Improvement to repair water damage that is in my house. In the course of fixing the repairs they chipped tile, created dents in the walls, and lied about pricing. They also ate food out of my pantry and left all of their garbage for me to clean. They borrowed my materials such as vacuum cleaners and ladders. They did not complete the work and sent me a bill for items that were never done to the property. I have lived in my house now for about 3 weeks and the carpet has yet to be cleaned or “kicked in”. Every time they come to my home they create more damages. I have pictures and emails of proof that this event has been horrendous. In fact, they tried to super glue my carpet down. They also are very rude and have poor customer service. This has been a complete nightmare. My house to this day has yet to be put back together. Yesterday, I received a call from the owner yelling and screaming saying, I have 20 days to let him back on my property and that he wants his money now. As you can imagine I was in utter shock. I was expecting an apologetic call for all of my inconvenience considering I let them into my house for 3 days and they would show up around 12 or 1 when they stated they would be here early morning; still did not barely finish any of the work. I am filing complaints with the registrar of contractors. I have also contacted my attorney, 3 on your side will be next.Desired Settlement: All I want is the house put back together and for the repairs to look presentable. Also, for them to correct the total that they are invoicing me for, it should only be the work actually completed. They have been charging me for work that has never been done to the property.

We currently have an appointment with [redacted] on Saturday June 7th, because that is the earliest she can meet. We hope to make amends with her and complete her job on that day. We were not finished with her job when she made this complaint, but we plan to resolve any issues with her by taking her on a walk through and repairing what is needed. We will have more information after Saturday June 7th, 2014.

VAGUE UNSIGNED CONTRACT, NEVER CLARIFIED CHARGED HUGE SUMS OF MONEY, FOUND OUR HE WAS UNQUALIFIED FOR ANY OF THE WORK SO HE LIED AND ONLY ALLOWED TO PAIN,NO SANDING TEXTURING DRY WALL NADA . NOT LICENSED FOR THAT. NO MOLD REMEDIATION LICENSE AS HE CLAIMED, NO MOLD CERTIFACATION, ONLY OTHER THING HE CAN DO IS DEMO WORK TO BUILD TEMPORARY RAMPS AND REMOVE THEM KIND OF DEMO. NOT TAKING APART WALLS, PLUMBING, CARPET PAINT DRYWALL, ETC. HE CHARGED $9800 WITHOUT TELLING US WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHAT IT WOULD COST. WE NEVER GOT ANY DETAILS. TORE UP THE HOUSE AND LEFT CONTAMINATED MATERIAL MATERIAL TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN...... TRIED TO TAKE MORE WITHOUT PERMISSION, AND NEVER WALKED THE JOB WITH US. HOW COULD HE? HE TURNED A 3 WEEK JOB INTO A FEW PART TIME DAYS WITH A CREW (2 OF HIS SONS UNTRAINED )VERSUS 4 MAN CREW AND HIM WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SKILLED, AND TAKE 3 WEEKS. Family members and friends were sick from the contamination. One person hospitalized extensively. life threatening kind of stuff.
