Review: We have NOT requested or agreed to services with this company, yet they continue billing for bogus services.Desired Settlement: Removal from listing - and investigation to insure that they are not targeting other small businesses hoping for those that do not catch their scheme.

Sincerely,

Review: Strategic Business Communications sent us an advertisement presented as an invoice. The invoice made it appear as though we had procured advertising services from SBC Worldwide and were now obligated to compensate them in the amount of $3,499. We have never entered into a relationship with this company, nor have we at anytime request any services from them. Fine print at the bottom of the document indicates (though not clearly) that this is in fact an advertisement or quote of services which would be available to us upon receipt of payment. The document however was labeled "Invoice" and presented on a company letterhead.Desired Settlement: Explanation from Strategic Business Communications about why they would sends us an invoice in order to advertise for services, or determination that this invoice is a scam perpetrated by an unknown third-party.

Review: I received an invoice from this company stating that we ordered a full page advertising insertion in their directory. We have not done any such thing. The invoice is for $3499 and states that it is due by Dec **,2014Desired Settlement: please void this invoice as we never ordered these services

I received an "Invoice" from Strategic Business Communications asking me to pay money for services that they had not provided. It was addressed to "Accounts Payable" at my company and the charge was for "Advertising Insertion Order (full color standard page)."

At the simplest level, this is a scam and "Strategic Business Communications" should be shut down immediately. They are do not conduct themselves ethically.

I am not the first person to receive this "Invoice." There are over 60 businesses on [redacted] all saying the same thing: [redacted].

Review: This company appears to have attempted to misrepresent themselves as a vendor I requested services from to my accounting department, by sending them an invoice for advertising services that were never ordered (but upon payment of the invoice, they would deliver these services that were never ordered).

The accounting department at my company received an invoice for an advertising insertion from Strategic Business Communications/SBC Media Group requested by ME (they used my name as the "requestor"), yet I have never even spoke to anyone at the company, let alone requested an advertising insertion. It appears to be instead a sneaky solicitation for business (the fine print at the bottom of the invoice says that upon payment, an advertising insertion will be confirmed). NOWHERE ON THE INVOICE does it indicate it is an advertisement or solicitation for services; it appears to be just a regular invoice. If we did not have the correct approval processes in place here at my company, and my accounting department had not sent me the invoice for approval, they could have just paid it, assuming I had in fact ordered it since the invoice named me specifically.

The fine print on the invoice says "Advertising insertions and premium listings are reserved for a period of 30 days from the invoice date and will only be confirmed when payment has been received. Due to the high demand for advertising insertions and premium listings in Strategic Business Communications publications, our standard policy is to automatically void any invoice that has not been paid within 30 days and release the reserved advertising space or premium listing opportunity to other customers...."

However, we did not reserve advertising space or a premium listing, nor are we or have we ever been a customer.Desired Settlement: Don't send invoices to companies for services unless they are ordered, and apologize to me in writing for misrepresenting yourselves to my accounting department as a vendor I have requested services from.

We received an invoice for $3,495 for Qt1 1 Advertising insertion order (full color standard page) in their [redacted] Vendor Directory. We have never even talked to anyone from this company and therefore never authorized this charge. We will not be paying and would like this invoice to be voided.
