Review: I just received my new OBDLink LX. Wonderful I thought.

I downloaded all the software and entered my licence key and was ready to scan my ** truck before going on holidays as I had some issue with the truck.

I plugged it in, nothing, no lights nothing.

I went back and re read the instructions, and went back to the truck and plugged it in, and nothing no little lights, nothing.

I tested the OBD2 port all was ok.

I tried a new car, nothing.

It seems the OBDLink LX that I got was faulty, what do I do now?

This is really frustrating, I wait to see if their is any real customer support for me before I go and write my reviews of this disappointing product .Desired Settlement: give me a refund or send me a OBDLink LX that is guaranteed to work ASAP.

I placed an order which never showed up. Giving them a benefit of doubt, I asked for a USPS tracking number for my order and they never sent it to me. I have lost money and time in dealing with this company which looks bogus to me.
Their phone calls are always unanswered and emails are replied to too late with no information except "contact your local post office".

Review: On December 2, 2014, I ordered some parts from [redacted] (Order #[redacted]) with "2-day Air Delivery" shipping, as of December 15th, 2014 the "ordered" merchandise has not been delivered. On December 4th, they billed my credit card for the "shipping costs" and merchandise. I have contacted them multiple times through their on-site support ticket system, since no phone number is "listed" on their website. They have not responded to my multiple "order status" requests and a request that they cancel the order and refund all monies charged. I did receive one respond, but it referenced the [redacted] "shipment delivered" date of a pervious order.

I believe "[redacted]" is owned by ScanTool, LLC.Desired Settlement: cancel order and refund all monies charged

Dear Revdex.com,We apologize for our customer's frustration. The item ordered is currently out of stock, therefore we have refunded the customer in full and notified him of this refund. A copy of the refund is attached for your records.Sincerely,[redacted]Operations AssistantScanTool.net LLC[redacted]

I ordered some software from Scantool.net, and shortly after ordering it I realized that I was unable to run the software on my PC. I requested that the order be cancelled immediately, during a stage in which the order was still processing and I should have been able to cancel. However, I received no reply from the company and the order was processed on my card. I submitted another contact request and never received a reply. After a LOT of searching, I was able to find the phone number to call Scantool.net directly. After being connected, I was told that they had a "problem with their eSupport system". She said that the emails could not be returned immediately because of an issue they had. But when asked to cancel the order, she brought up the timestamp on my initial request, which was supposedly stamped more than 24 hours later than what it truly was. She was trying to use their system as evidence that was skewed exclusively towards them. How can a system not return emails due to delays, but yet the timestamp still applies when asked to cancel the order? We agreed that they will refund the order, but I will wait to see if the money is actually refunded. If not, I will be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com

Review: On October 23rd 2014, I received an order that I had placed with Scantool.net. I was short shipped and was missing about $120 of paid for merchandise from my order. I emailed Scantool.net immediately and sent photos of all the billing & shipping receipts and never heard back. I used their sales contact form directly on their website and submitted a separate email complaint and haven’t heard back. I asked them to call me directly and provided 2 separate phone lines as well as my email. Scantool.net has not resolved the issue despite contacting them three times demanding to speak with a customer representative. They have removed their phone number from their website (I'm not the first to complain about this). It is now three weeks since submitting my initial complaint. I do not trust ‘Scantool.net’, they've ripped me off and refuse to contact me regarding their mistake. I will try to resolve this issue here first, but will proceed to try and resolve Scantool.net’s error with MasterCard or Amazon Payments if nothing happens in the next 10 days.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded or have the missing product shipped to me. At the very least I would appreciate a phone call from their customer service. Removal of the Revdex.com accreditation logo from their website should be reviewed.

Response:

It looks like the issue was that this customer ordered two of one of our products but only received one and we did try to resolve the issue. Mr. [redacted] contacted us on 10/28 via email and at that time we told him we would ship the missing unit. During and since that time, we have been training new staff members (new hires) in our shipping department so if he has not received the missing unit yet, unfortunately the shipping of the missing unit may not have been done. Mr. [redacted] has not contacted us since 10/28 so we had no idea that he never received the missing unit. We have issued a FULL REFUND, including shipping charges, to Mr. [redacted] today in the way of a PayPal payment for his troubles, apparent distress, and any inconvenience this may have caused him. A copy of the refund is attached. If you have any other suggestions on how to appease the customer, please do let me know. Sincerely,[redacted]Operations AssistantScanTool.net LLC | OBD Solutionswww.scantool.net
