Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Several weeks ago I filed the original complaint with the Revdex.com against Seaport Auto WholesaleAs a resolution to the complaint, Seaport offered to refund to me $for the purchase of an anti-theft device on the car I boughtAs of now they have not compliedPlease advise me of how I can go about getting my refund.Sincerely,*** ***

Seaport Auto puts pushing a car for sale before being honest about who is actually buying the vehicleI was in need of a reliable vehicle, and I was needing a co-signer, because of my credit issues Instead of my boyfriend being put as the co-signer on my account he was put as the primaryWe were never informed that this was going to be the case, and in turn it has now made it impossible to pay MY car loan on- line, with my personal bank accountWe now have to set up a separate, joint account, from our personal onesWe do not have the same days off, and one of us will have to take time off work to do this unnecessary leg workHad Seaport informed us of the necessary changes to acquire a loan, I could have then made the decision to either go through with the loan, or walk away from the loan

Everyone is very kind and attentiveThey work hard to help you get the car that you want at a great deal that is within your budget!

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Yes what they say is TrueHowever, during the sales process the salesman lied about the truckI asked him if it had been lifted and he said no, and it had been, I didn't realize how much it had till driving it homeHe made several other statements about the truck tooAfter driving it home I realized it was not what it was represented to beI decided to try and unwind the dealI went back to them to express what I wanted to do and they were not willing to work with me at allThe deal happened late Fri afternoon and the F and I man told me that the contract would not even make it to the bank till MondayThe assistant manager I worked with on Satmorning said that it had already been funded by the credit union and there was nothing he could doThat was a lie because the F and I man told me otherwiseI told them I was willing to pay an appropriate rental fee for having the vehicle overnite which they rejectedOne of the forms I signed said that if the deal didn't happen that a rental fee would be chargedI was willing to pay thatThey tried to steer me into a different truck but they had nothing I was interested inThat is why I was forced to buy my old truck back for the price of $None of the paperwork had been submitted to DMV or the bankThey just gave me back my title to my old truck because they still had possession of itThey could have just as easily voided the deal and resold the truck and everyone would have been happyThe deal they made me do was dishonest and unfair. I feel I was taken advantage of and request $back, keep the $500.oo for a fee for rental overniteI feel that is more than fair. The experience I had with them was not buyers remorse, it was having wrong information about the truck told to me, there is a difference Sincerely,*** ***

We have spoken to the consumer While we do not agree that the consumer did not know the price or was told that he had to purchase the product, the refund of the $was offered to consumer and he declined stating he wanted us to repurchase the vehicle in full The consumer was told
this in not an option It appears from the complaint that the consumer would now like the $refund Upon confirmation of this from the consumer (to insure no further miscommunication) we will cancel the product and refund the $to his lienholder

These guys are simple bait & switch con artist,I could go in to detail however just read their other reviews

When I purchased my Kia Optima vehicle in priced at $8,988.00, I paid just over $2,down on the vehicle and then had the rest on loan from Rivermark Credit UnionI was given a CarFax report that stated that the vehicle had other owners besides myself and no accident reportsLast Friday June 3rd, I went to CarMax and was told that the vehicle was not entirely original (the hood and rear sidings were replaced with non-factory parts)I was not informed this when I purchased the vehicle and as the only person with the title on the car I should have been informedNow the value of my Kia is near worthless to how it should beAlso after speaking to one of the representatives on the phone I received only one call back after which I was unable to hear from anyone elseHad I not been moving from the area would I have not known that this happenedI also believe that they added additional charges and tax to the sale and as a new car buyer I trusted them to be honestI have r

I had a very pleasant experience with SeaportJason was a great salesperson

About years ago we bought a Ford Explorer and its extended warranty that was to cover the moter power train and transmissionWe have had to use this numerous times becuase of things we have asked them to fix and were not fixed properly now we have a blown moter because of itWe stopped taking it to them due damage everytime it came back to usfor example our back up camera was messed with when they had to replace the altanator not once but twiceOur raidator heating core needed to be fix and it was not properly done and led to a blown moterit now apparently was in an accident that seaport never reported I could go on we have moved our services to Canby ford they even believe what they have done is wrongNow the warranty will not help or fix itI believe seaport has sold us a warranty that is useless and now we are out We have two children who need care and we are struggling both financially and with only one working carI asked them to help usChris the man

I know most people take the time to write a negative but I believe it's important to write when you have a positive experience buying a vehicleWe went to Seaport to look at used vehicles and were surprised to see the quality of vehicles they had to choose fromWe found a three your old Tundra and saved a lot of money versus a new oneI'm not a fan of shopping for used vehicles but if you have to do it I would give them a shot

Finally I can post this in hopes this will help someone elseDO NOT buy any car from #Seaportauto on Mcloughlin Blvdin Portland Oregon I just spent almost 11,dollars, and almost months of my life in putting a new diesel engine in this truck because they are buying garbage outta Canada masking issues and selling for a premium, and selling a Red shield protection plan warranty that is completely worthlessKnowing the truck will not be covered due to preexisting problems they have masked over long enough for you to get down the road To make a long story shortThese people are wolves in sheep’s clothing and I wouldn’t PISS! on them if they were on fire! They are absolute crooks, and should be out of business for fraudulent practices and bt paperworkThat being said please share the hell outta thisEven if you don’t live in the PNW just to keep these crooks outta car auctions!
On a positive note I thank Cordray’s Continental in Albany, oregon for being the best shop to work with during this time they were very forgiving and basically stored my truck while battling with attorney’s and warranty crooks and those scam artists at Sea-Port auto

The consumer can contact me directly, Julie D*** and I will have an additional release for them to sign and we can make arrangements for them to pick up the check and sign the release

I've now purchased vehicles form this dealership in the last years and have never had a bad experience

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

Great customer service

I responded to them originally via the internet for a used Chevrolet pickup that I found out was soldThey said they would keep an eye out for what I wanted so I told them my criteria and priceA few days later I got a call from them telling me about a truck they got inThey wouldn't tell me the price over the phone and gave me the excuse that their used car manager was gone for the eveningI live in Salem and he got my curiosity so I went to look at it the next dayWhen I get there the price was $more than my range and there were several other things about the truck that did not match what I was looking forThe salesman was very pushy and highly energetic, I wondered at the time if he was on speedThis all happened on Fri the 22nd of JulyI had told them I didn't want anything that had been lifted, only stock suspension, he told me that it had not been liftedI eventually mad a deal and on the way home realized that this was not the truck I had been looking forI went

They sold me a truck that had modified exaughst that wouldn't pass DEQ The check engine light came on a couple weeks later and I found that it was modified to ignore broken parts in the engineThe dealership was not willing to pay to have it fixed

The consumer did purchase a 2002 Toyota in October of 2014.  The consumer did return in December 2014 stating the vehicle was using oil, we were unable to locate any obvious cause and recommended that the consumer take the vehicle to a Toyota dealership for further diagnosis.  The present...

complaint of a broken valve we have not been able to verify.  We have checked with the warranty company that has stated that the present complaint the consumer had was a misfire with the vehicle and the consumer would not authorized the dealer to do teardown to verify the cause of the problem, however they did believe that it was due to a burnt valve not a broken internal component.  The warranty company would cover a broken part but will not cover an issue that they consider to be caused by wear and tear on the vehicle, either due to age and/or mileage or misuse.  The consumer can cancel their warranty and a refund of the unused portion would be sent to their lienholder, if they wish to do so.  In order to cancel the warranty they would need to complete a cancellation form.

We have worked with the consumer to resolve this complaint.  I do believe that the consumer is satisfied with the outcome.
