My pc is very old. I never bothered to upgrade because I only use it for Word and Skype. One day, it suddenly started having problems. I asked my buddy to check it out and he said its memory needs replacement. He told me to look for two 1gb DDR2 RAM. He also warned me that DDR2 components have been long phased out so I might have trouble finding them. The alternative of replacing the motherboard and possible other parts of the system unit is simply too costly so I was determined to find thos DDR2 RAM, used or not, doesn’t matter.

I looked online and found Server Parts Warehouse. At first I was reluctant to deal with them because of their many poor reviews on this site. Fortunately, I was always one to check other opinions so I checked other review websites. The first two sites I checked had very good reviews of SPW so I decided to just go and give SPW a go.

I gave them a call. Their representative and I talked about what I was looking for. He also asked me about my pc to make sure about the RAM I need. Some seconds later, he said they have exactly what I need. They gave me quite an affordable price so I made the purchase and gave them my order details. Delivery was prompt and the 2 pieces of RAM I received worked perfectly.

Review: SPW’s telephone lines not attended despite several calls over four days during posted business hours. Item ordered online but payment did not process, so within minutes of payment rejection, payment information was telephoned in again but did not process. Within minutes of second attempt, another form of payment was used and processed successfully before 1pm for overnight shipping that day. A verbal confirmation with Sammy and confirming e-mail with tracking number was provided ensuring that item would be received next day. The next morning, inquiries online with tracking number provided yielded errors of shipment not found. SPW’s telephone lines not attended and emails to SPW went hours unanswered - $900 was charged and SPW could not be reached and no part was received! Finally an e-mail was received, which indicated there was a problem with the shipping company. Then after a while, it was explained that because of payment issues early on the shipment did not go out that day. This was contrary to verbal and written assurances the day before that payment was processed timely and shipping was being done in time to go out that day for next day receipt. A reply email was sent asking for a reduction/refund of expedited shipping since item would now be received 3 days later than originally arranged. No one responded via telephone or emails. Consumer telephoned credit card company to inquire on charge, who conference called SPW. Supervisor Peter at SPW indicated that a full refund would be issued and a short time later an e-mail came through that stated there were too many telephone calls and it wasn't worth the "hassle" so they cancelled the order.Desired Settlement: How unprofessional! This business turns off their telephones so you cannot reach them. They make promises that aren't kept, despite verbal and written confirmations. Then, when you finally get a hold of them, panicked from thinking you just got scammed out of $800, they are annoyed that you called so many times to resolve the issue, don't apologize for THEIR error, and leave you high and dry with no computer part that you needed delivered when promised. This is not the way to do business, and they certainly will not be recommended to others in the future.

[MESSAGE TO SERVER PARTS WAREHOUSE: Any company has the right to refuse to do business with anyone, however, when shipments were promised both verbally and in writing, plus payment was accepted for those terms, a contract was made. It is not unreasonable nor is it demanding for a customer to expect the product as promised and per the contract terms. It was only after your company couldn't perform their duties as contracted that they backed out and then blamed the customer for the company's error. No worries - the refund has been received and we will NEVER attempt to do business with Server Parts Warehouse again. As always, thank you for your professionalism and courtesy.]

Review: [redacted] told us they had 4 units in stock. I told him we would buy them and purchase 2 more off ebay. I then tried to purchase the 2 units off ebay and they were just sold to [redacted] at Server Parts Warehouse. We paid server parts warehouse for 4 units, and they only shipped us the two unis from ebay. Now they are ignoring our calls, and are unresponsive. It is unethical to say that you have 4 units, then buy the 2 off ebay right from under us, and then to only ship the 2 units that you bought from ebay when we paid for 4 units.Desired Settlement: We would like the 2 units refunded.

We replied to your company email and stating that we charged the customer for 2 units and we shipped 2 units, we did not overcharge or promise the customer anything else.
