on may 21st, first choice home services cleaned our air ducts and in doing so stepped onor drug a machine over a water pipe in attic. the pipe broke and water flowed thru theceiling causing damage to ceiling, wall and floor.when we got home at about 930pm there wasa mess. I found the leak and called a plumber we knew for emergency repairs.we paid him 100 dollars. The next day we called first choice and informed them of damages. They sent the same twoguys out and they painted the wall and ceiling with some paint that I had left over. I driedthe floor with fans. The two employees told me to call their office to request a refund of my out of pocket expenses and it would take about 2 weeks to get refund. We called office andfurnished a receipt for charges which first choice acknowledged getting. since that timewe have had numerous promises that the check would be mailed. each time there was some excusethat prevented mailing check.Mr [redacted] who is an officer at first choice has promised over andover again to make refund. as of this dare july 15,2015 I have mot received this check and have little hope of receiving it. CUSTOMERS BEWARE especially if you are seniors!Desired SettlementI want my refund and other potential customers alerted! this company sends out flyers inthe mail

Appx 3 months after servicing ducts and central air unit, damage done by service person caused water damage. When the company serviced the AC unit it pulled the piping loose from the drip pan. The humidity increased causing more moisture to be removed from the air handler. Beings the drain lines were damaged during servicing the pan leaked water instead of draining. This caused water damage to the ceiling and walls. The following required either repair or replacement. The pan under the furnace, Insulation needed replaced to prevent Black Mold. Sheetrock required repair. Walls and ceiling required repainting. Wood needed treated to prevent mold and required drying out. Desired SettlementRefund entire amount charged.

Window cleaning was horrible-streaks, cobwebs, or left untouched. Called company twice after the service was done but no return calls.I purchased a voucher from[redacted] for window cleaning from 1st Choice Home Service which was for interior and exterior window cleaning. Two men came to my house on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 to clean my windows. They attempted to clean the windows but actually they look worse now-streaks, spots and some were not even touched. They did not have the equipment to clean the exterior of the windows and some exterior windows could not be cleaned from the inside. Some interior windows were also left untouched as evidenced by remaining cobwebs. After two attempts to talk to the company about my dissatisfaction and no responses, I felt I had to complain to the Revdex.com as it it seems apparent that 1st Choice Home Service does not care about the inferior job that was done or about my concerns.Desired SettlementAt this point, I would like a refund. Business Response We are sorry for the dissatisfaction. We would honor a full refund. please contact[redacted] local for a refund to your cc.

Complaint[redacted] poured a shower pan and and had his employee tile the shower it does not drain. A concern was raised prior to work completion to no avail.[redacted] was hired to pour a shower pan and tile a shower as well as tile a bathroom floor. The shower does not drain because the pan/floor he is responsible for does not have the proper grade/pitch toward the drain. Water pools and stands on the shower floor. A concern regarding the shower pan was raised but [redacted] insisted it would be fine after the tile was laid.Desired SettlementI wish to be refunded the amount it will cost me to have the shower floor issue fixed my a qualified professional.

Company did not delivery purchased window cleaning services. I have not been able to reach anyone at the company to get a refund. I purchased the service this past summer as part of an internet buying deal. The price was $99 to clean the inside and outside of my windows. In early November I contacted the company to schedule my service. They indicated they were having difficulty in finding a vendor in the area and that they would call me back within two weeks to schedule. I heard nothing from the company and have tried all types of communication to reach a human. All calls are dumped into voicemail and no emails have been returned. My conformation code was [redacted] and the number I was given to call to schedule was X-XXX-XXX-XXXX.Desired SettlementRefund of purchase price of $99

Did not show up or kept rescheduling appointments.I bought a voucher from [redacted] Local as a gift for my dad to have his windows cleaned. My dad called and scheduled appointments on four separate occasions and they failed to show up or rescheduled on each occasion.Desired SettlementI want the company held accountable and to have to respond to our complaint. They have inconvenienced us on four separate occasions and I want to know their reason. I want other people to see how unreliable this company is so they can make an informed decision whether to use them or not.Business Response There is no particular reason why we missed your appointment this last time. If you would like to reschedule please feel free to contact:1888-258-2021 asap!Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Because they need to say why they didn't show up and own up to the fact that they were unprofessional. Their answer was ridiculous.Final Business Response We are very sorry we missed your appointments that any times. We will be happy to offer you another appointment or a full refund of your cc. We failed you terribly we recognize.

I bought an offer for discounts on window cleaning with this company. I made an appointment, and was told they would call the day before to say when they were coming. They did not call to confirm. I left a message that went unanswered. Day of appointment, I called again, got message machine. This call also went unanswered and no crew ever showed up to clean windows. I wasted most of a day staying home waiting for them to show up. Very annoying and unprofessional.","neg-4

They never showed up for the appointment and never called back for a reason.I bought a voucher from [redacted] for window cleaning from 1st Choice Home Service. As per the voucher, I called to set an appointment for 9/12 and was given one for between 8-12 am. I received a confirmation call from the Tennessee home base on 9/11. All was supposed to be a go. I took the day off work for this. When no one showed up by noon, I called the XXX-XXX-XXXX number and was told to hold while she called the technician.she came back on the line to say she could not reach the technician but would call me back as soon as she did. I never received a call back. When I tried to call her back (twice) it went to voicemail. I did leave a message of dissatisfaction. No call back. I then called Amazon customer service with a complaint of no follow through and a day off work for nothing. Upon further review, it seems that this company has done this to other people before. This is unprofessional and unethical and others should be aware of this supposed company.Desired Settlement[redacted] is willing to refund the money I spent to buy the voucher but 1st Choice should be responsible for making up for my wasted day. If they are even a business, they should perform extra at little or no cost for my inconvenience and waste of time.Business Response Even though[redacted] has already refunded your purchase we will gladly give you an appointment for our next available dates. We think its fair to perform the same amount of work that your coupon covered and you can pay the difference if you have additional work not covered by the offer. Contact Scheduling toll free 1[redacted] or email [redacted]@hotmail.com with your decision. Thanks in advance for understanding as this is our peak-season and our operators are very busy all day booking customers. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I emailed the 1st Choice Services with my concern that I needed some kind of reassurance so that I wouldn't have to take another entire day off from work for nothing. A verbal guarantee that I would be the very first customer on a mutually agreeable date or weekend day might have worked. Of course, not to my surprise, I received no reply. I have no desire to do any business at any time with this company. I strongly recommend that everyone else be very cautious when dealing with them. It is my hope that the Revdex.com take a serious look at their business practices. Customer service is certainly NOT a priority for them.

Revdex.com , you have several complaints and an alert ABOUT THIS CO. this company should be flagged , they are not an honest up front organization. by missing 2 days of work waiting on this service and being out $ for the purchase, we hope you can do something to stop them from doing this to others. advertised and sold a whole house air duct cleaning cleaning for $49.00 upon arrival of the crew I was told it would be an additional $275 I purchased a voucher for $49 for a whole-house air duct cleaning, I had to wait over 6 weeks for an appointment, then when the service men arrived, after walking throughout the house without removing their shoes I was told it would be an additional $275 if I wanted the cleaning. I lost a whole day of work as I never received a call the evening before to give me a time frame and I left messages with no return call. I also called the company to complain about my disappointment talked with a gentleman who said his name was[redacted], who said he would investigate and follow up with me and he never followed up. In summary I di not receive ane air duct cleaning and I lost a days work. very disappointed.Desired Settlementposting to inform others of this company's practiesBusiness Response We highly appreciate your feedback and we apologize if the advertisement was miss understood. It is because of you that we are able to improve customer service. Thank you again for your feedback.

Using a leaf blower and a shop vacuum to "clean" my air ducts in my condo unit & part of the vacuum came off inside the unit vent causing damage.Problem Date: 9/12/14, Voucher Purchase Date: 7/21/14 from[redacted] Local for $49.00 w/a Total Value of: $369.00. Voucher Code: [redacted] Order #: DXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX Sold by 1st Choice Home Service (XXX)XXX-XXXX. [redacted] and another man went to my condo unit located in The [redacted] in Oklahoma City at[redacted] on September 12, 2014. My renter, whose name I can give you later, met them at the unit. I was told by my renter after paying them $240.00, besides the $49 voucher, that they used a leaf blower and a shop vacuum to "clean" out the air ducts. They didn't remove any supply vents, just stuck the leaf blower right up to them and turned it on while the other guy sucked up whatever came his way with a shop vacuum. While using the shop vacuum, the hose end of the nozzle came off inside my unit. Monday morning at 4:58 a.m. I received a text from my renter stating, "We've had some sort of issue, I believe with the a/c. Please can me as soon as you get up", and of course the can meant call. I called and found out that a very loud noise woke them up earlier like shoes in a dryer but louder and then it stopped. Next they started smelling something burning so luckily my my renter decided to turn off the air unit. I had my air conditioner guy go out that same day. He made it over there around or little after 10 a.m. With his investigation he found a wrist size piece of hard plastic aka the hose end of the vacuum nozzle loged in the van blade inside my a/c unit. It damaged the blade slightly and was the cause of the burning smell because the fan was still trying to turn. The bill from that was $134.25. His bill says, "Blower not working due to end of vacuum hose being jammed in blower wheel. Removed blower assembly and took vacuum hose end out of blower assembly. Re-installed blower assembly." So for a whopping $423.25 I got my ducts "cleaned out" with a leaf blower and a shop vacuum which I could have done for free since I have access to both! I emailed 1st Choice concerning the vacuum hose end on September 15, 2014 at 11:03 a.m. and have not received a response. I did call the technician, [redacted] and spoke with him about the vacuum hose end but he denied losing anything. I told him I'd call him back with what my bill cost. He now will not anser my phone calls. [redacted]'s number is (XXX)XXX-XXXX. I contacted[redacted] Local and they have graciously reimbursed me the price of the voucher and have turned in my complaint with their corporate office on September 16, 2014. I was told I'd hear back from them in a week. This is obviously a scam and I would like to get my money back and by a/c bill paid for.Desired SettlementI want a refund in the amount of $240 plus my a/c bill of $134.25 paid for. Sincerely, Mrs.[redacted].Business Response Unfortunately The issues that resulted, where not the cause of the cleaning technicians performed. We are glad you've been refunded already. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have attached a picture of [redacted] MISSING hose end of the vacuum nossle and a copy of the invoice from my air conditioning unit company stating that it was JAMMED inside my air conditioning unit! Yes very nice of [redacted] to refund the amount of my coupon. I expect 1st Choice Home Service to refund the so called cleaning amount of $240.00 that was on top of the Local [redacted] payment of $49.00. The ducts in my condo will still need to be cleaned knowing your workmen, to include [redacted] only used a leaf blower and a shop vac which during the so called cleaning lost it's nozzle tip! I contacted [redacted] immediately when I found out what caused the damage. I also let him know that I would be calling back after the damage assesment. He is now not returning my phone calls and neither is anyone else from 1st Choice Home Service. I see online how your company has a bunch of complaints against it. I suggest you refund me $240.00 for the shotty clean up job and you refund me $134.25 for the damage your vacuum caused my unit.Final Consumer Response Just wondering how/when I will get my settlement check?

I purchased a Whole-House Air_Duct Cleaning with this company 1st Choice Home Service. When I went to redeem the voucher, I called and left messages at least 3 times with no response. I called A[redacted] and was given the number to the CEO (901) 239-3970. I called James J[redacted] and left a message explaining my issue. To this date, I still have not heard anything. I came to this site and read dozens of comments identical to mine. I called A[redacted] for a refund. Beware, poor business practice. ","neg-2

The[redacted] Local deal was called a "Whole House Air Duct Cleaning" but we were told at our appt that we needed to pay $300 more for it to be that.We scheduled a "Whole House Air Duct Cleaning" as it was called in the[redacted] Local deal for [redacted], PA. When the technicians arrived, they informed us that the "deal" would only clean part of the system. We would need to pay $300 more (we'd paid $50 for our voucher) to include the other elements, otherwise the cleaning would be pointless. Nowhere on the voucher did I ascertain that this service would do anything but leave my air ducts clean. I was aware that there was a limit on air mains and returns. The main culprit seemed to be the two plenum boxes, which were apparently not included. This "deal" was incorrectly named and I feel very scammed.Desired SettlementI am seeking a partial refund. Services were performed, and I am not against paying for them. However, $300 seems excessive for services beyond a voucher that called what they were going to do "whole house."Business Response Please contact [redacted] local for a full $50 refund back to your card and company will be glad to issue $100 refund.

Scheduled 3 appointments with them for service. They never showed up to any of the appointments. No call or follow up for rescheduling.I booked appointments with them on 3 separate occasions for window cleaning. They never showed up to any of the appointments. No one ever called to confirm the appt. or reschedule. Each time I called to confirm someone was coming and was told that they were. I was given the name of the "manager". I emailed him with my frustration. He emailed me back asking for my address and I never heard back from him. This company is not professional and has been a complete waste of time. Desired SettlementThis company needs to be told how to run a business because they clearly have no idea. They waste people's time.Business Response We are sorry for causing such frustration in your life. You may request refund through whom ever you purchased your offer from.

I have never made a complaint on any company before but I do not want anyone else to go through this feeling of being ripped off, as I do.For the first time ever, I purchased a service (in advance) from the internet. This service was to have my air ducts cleaned with the company (1st Choice Home Service Vent Cleaning. I purchased this voucher through [redacted] Local. I received my voucher and it took 3 weeks of talking to a voice mail recording during normal business hours to get a rep to return my call. She was as sweet as could be but informed me that she would take my information and someone from my local ([redacted]) area would call me back within a week. She told me the [redacted] area was pretty open so I would not have to wait long for an appointment. The local office did not call me and I called back to the central office. This time, the central office made the appointment for me but the best they could do was approx. 3 months out. I took the appointment. 1 week before the appointment (6/4th 8am-1pm) I received a call that the trucks engine blew up (Im not kidding!). We rescheduled for the appointment to 6/26. This day came and went. No one showed up or called. So, at this point, I went to the web site and found an executive of the company email address. I explained all to this person ([redacted]) and requested that my voucher be refunded in full ($49). I did not get a return email but did receive a call from a rep of the company asking that they be allowed to come out around my schedule ("whenever is convenient for you"). So I allowed them to make an appointment for the next morning to show up between 8 and 9 am. The rep informed me prior to hanging up that he had all the information he needed and "they will be there between 8 - 9am tomorrow). No one showed up and no one called. I asked for a refund immediately following this "last chance" and I get no response.Product_Or_Service: whole house vent cleaningOrder_Number: XLTH-V3F2-67ZN4Account_Number: XLTH-V3F2-67ZN4Desired SettlementPrice of voucher refunded.Business Response customer has already been refunded![redacted]V3F2-67ZN4Whole-House Air-Duct and Dryer-Vent Cleaning: Includes Unlimited Supply Vents, One Main, One Return, and One Dryer Vent up to Six Feet[redacted]Offer Type: DealOffer Starts: 2/10/2014Expiration Date: 8/9/2014Refunded08/04/2014 10:14amEmployeeTotal Bill info$

I've got the $49 coupon for Amazon.com for this First Choice air duct cleaning. The deal was that this coupon was supposed to cover most of the job.....
First of all, it took me 3 days to get in touch with the customer service (voice mail, no response, 30 minutes waiting on the line...). So, the beginning wasn't smooth.
Two guys came to my house with shop vacuum. They informed me that the job will cost me $365..... What a surprise!
I just finished my house renovation that was dusty and messy and I agreed to proceed with the service because I was hoping for some kind of special duct cleaning that will get all dust out from the ducts. I have small kids at the house and we want to keep our air supply clean.
Well, the "duct cleaning" took ~40 mins. They opened the air duct junction box in the attic and removed all grills from air returns in every room. After that they did vacuum the returns and got everything back. ...... A lot of work for $400, heh? It would be necessary to mention that while one guy was vacuuming air returns another guy was smoking outside..... Oh, I forgot! He cleaned my dryer's vent with a brush.
So, there was NO MAGIC tools inside of the supply air ducts and this kind of cleaning everyone can do with shop vacuum everyday. The price for good shop vacuum is $80-120.
Button line: 25-30 mins of vacuum cleaning shouldn't cost $400. Will not order this service again and will not recommend it to anyone. Pretty much looks like scam!","neg-3

Complaint1st Choice damaged my HVAC units while servicing them, then promised to reimburse me for damages but will not return my calls or email.I purchased a[redacted] (Voucher #1000198515187) on April 12 for $49 ([redacted]) to have 1st Choice Home Services clean my HVAC vents and dryer duct. They came to my home on June 3 to perform the service. When the technicians opened up the units, they told me they were unable to perform the duct cleaning without first cleaning the units of mold and other buildup inside. I agreed to the additional service, totaling $619 (paid with [redacted] upon services rendered). Soon after they left, my husband and I noticed the downstairs unit was leaking water. There has been a constant stream into and across our garage floor. The upstairs unit has not been cooling to the set temperature. It is set to 75 degrees but has trouble cooling to less than 80 degrees. I tried calling one of the technicians, [redacted], as well as 1st Choice Home Services on June 4, June 6 and June 13. I left messages on 1st Choice's voicemail, but was unable to leave messages on Ian's voicemail, receiving a message that his number was not set up for voicemail. None of my messages were returned. I tried calling both numbers multiple times on June 13, when I finally reached [redacted]. He said he would report to the office and have headquarters dispatch another technician to check out my problem. When I heard nothing back from him or 1st Choice, I called again on June 16. I spoke to a man who claimed to be[redacted], who is listed on the Revdex.com's website as the company's CEO (http://www.Revdex.com.org/memphis/business-reviews/cleaning-services/1st-choice... He told me he would be unable to send a technician until July, and that if I needed repairs done immediately, he would reimburse me. He asked me to send an email with all of these details to [redacted]@hotmail.com in order to begin the process. I sent an email on June 17. I received no response, and called back on June 20. I asked to speak with[redacted] but was told he is out of the country for over a month. I spoke with [redacted]' brother, who is listed on the Revdex.com's website as the COO. He asked me which email I sent my message to, telling me there are multiple emails for such complaints, and that he would look for it and call me back. [redacted] did not call me back or return my email, so I called again on June 23. I spoke to [redacted] again, who told me his finance department ranks response priorities based on the level of damage, for example, $20,000, $10,000, $5,000, and so on. When I told him I just needed him to confirm my email that they would reimburse me for damages, he said he didn't have it in front of him then and asked me to call back the next day before 3 pm so he could get in front of the email.I called back 3 times on June 24. None of my messages have been returned. I called today, June 26, at 10 am and spoke to a representative who said he could do nothing but pass along my message to [redacted]. I expressed the intention to take legal recourse if necessary. I have not received a call back. Desired SettlementI am seeking a refund of $619 for payment made, plus reimbursement for the cost of repairing the damages incurred by 1st Choice Home Services.

We paid for professional duct cleaning. Instead, cleaning was performed with a cheap vacuum and hair dryer. Below is a message we sent to the business that describes the problem well.We had purchased a voucher for your services at[redacted].com, voucher #: DPJ[redacted]. We accepted to pay additional $150 for 3 additional mains + $50 for 2 additional return vents for a total of $250 of duct cleaning service. We expected the service to be performed professionally with professional grade tools & equipment. We expected the following 3 steps to be performed:1. technicians remove vent covers and insert a power-driven rotary brush into each of the ducts. This brush works itself into the duct, dislodging dirt, debris, pet hair, and allergens along the way providing a complete air duct cleaning - THIS STEP WAS NOT PERFORMED AT ALL, INSTEAD THE TECHNICIAN BLEW THROUGH THE DUCTS (without removing them) WITH A HAIR DRYER!2. compressed air is blown through each air duct to ensure the dirt loosened by the brush is dislodged from the sides of the air ducts - THIS STEP WAS NOT PERFORMED EITHER, NOR THAT YOUR TECHNICIANS HAVE ANY EQUIPMENT CAPABLE OF DOING SO.3. technicians connect a powerful vacuum to the main trunk line. This vacuum collects the dislodged contaminants and disposes of it in a hopper in the truck mounted system - YOUR TECHNICIANS USED A HOUSEHOLD GRADE GRADE VACUUM THAT COULD ONLY PICK UP DIRT SUPERFICIALLY (ABOUT 1 FOOT DEEP).As for the dryer duct, I did a better job myself last year, with tools from walmart, similar to the ones that your technicians used, except that the snake that I used was long enough to drive the gunk to the outside of the house, which they did not do, and dryer is not working any better. Also their card reader did not work so we paid $200 cash.I don't blame the technicians, they were nice kids, but obviously did not have the tools, equipment, training, or uniforms, and they tried to do the best with what their management provided for them.I have no idea what the [redacted] did I pay $250 for. You have two choices:-either provide a full refund of the $250, or send a professional to do the job professionally. I know that once you have my money, my options are limited, but they do include Revdex.com, and telling my story on the web in a review. You can contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX, and I will be calling to follow up on this message too.[redacted]I tried to call multiple times, spoke with multiple people to no resolve. Desired Settlementfull refundBusiness Response company has agreed to reimburse customer partial refund of $75 in addition to full refund from Amazon $50 if the customer agrees to satisfy this complaint. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)A fair offer would be $140, in addition to $50 from Amazon, which we have received already.

They caused 1200 worth of damage to my unit. They said they would pay have it looked at I called over 50 times. I have been with out AC for 2 months.I purchased a[redacted] to have the company clean my vents. While cleaning the vents they ruined my air conditioner. After they left the unit would run, but no longer cool. I had a technician come out to look at it just in case it was coincidence. The next day they sent a technician who went off what the 1st Choice employee told them about hitting a wire and said that could not be the issue and did not further investigate. I later found out that it was the TXV. The Manager, [redacted], said they would pay to have someone come quote the repair. I had someone take off work to be there on Monday for this to happen. I called and the HVAC company called [redacted] the manager over 50 times to get payment information and he never answered. I left voice mails with the front desk, owner, and receptionist with no responses. I got a hold of the technician that actually made the mistake and he apologized saying he would pay for the repair out of his pocket. However, now he no longer works there and said sorry he couldn't do that now. I have been without AC for over 2 months because of this company and can not afford this repair that their insurance should pay for because it was their fault. I don't know what to do or how to handle the situation, but I do not have $1200 to fix my air conditioner.Desired SettlementI just want them to pay the $1200 dollars which would be the cost of repair to get my unit fixed. Business Response The average cost to repair a TXV or also called thermal expansion valve is $50 to $300 if unit need refrigeration. We will be happy yo offer a refund in the amount of $175 Thanks, [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I called another HVAC company and they said the cheapest would be around $300, but because mine is a weld in TXV it will be lowest $400. If I can just get a refund of the $275 dollars that I was originally charged the day of the service I will close the case. Thank youFinal Business Response
