On 6/8/2015 1st Choice Bartlett came out to clean my home's air ducts and A/C coils. Clumps of junk were blown out of the vents and into the house. Took photos after tech left and found the ducts to still be dirty. Also the coils had not been properly cleaned. Sent photos to the owner and he said a different tech would come out and make things right. So far, no one has shown up and phone calls are not returned. Out over $400. Bartlett and Shelby County can find NO business license for these people. They have offices in about 38 states so be forewarned.","neg-1

Purchased [redacted] for air vent and dryer vent cleaning. My dryer vent was left clogged and disconnected and I was overcharged. Unable to get response.I purchased a [redacted] for air vent and dryer vent cleaning. The initial visit by the company's technicians [redacted] and [redacted] was on 12/21/13. When they checked the HVAC unit in my attic they said they had bad news. They said I had mold in the unit (evaporator coil). They went over paperwork for the price of cleaning air vents, treating mold/mildew, dryer vent, etc. and gave me a price of $854. We agreed on $700 for services as I declined some options. They "worked" for approximately 45 minutes.[redacted] said I didn't have much in the dryer vent and carried out a small fabric bag which he said contained the lint from the dryer vent. When they were finished, I wrote [redacted] a check for $700 and we engaged in small talk (unrelated to work) for a few moments. When they were walking out the door, [redacted] said "We just scammed you." Because we had been chatting and in a casual light mood, I had to believe he was joking. It bothered me but I just brushed it off not thinking that anyone would say such a thing even if they had scammed me. I didn't know what to make of it. My dryer never worked well after their visit. I called to have a follow up visit made and had it scheduled for after 5:00 PM on March 5, 2014. No one every showed up and no one called me. When I called the next business day, I was told that the technician confirmed the appointment with me for March 4 and then I was told that he confirmed it for March 5. Either the tech was lying to the scheduler or the scheduler was lying to me. By the way, I experienced other instances similar to this when trying to contact and schedule with the company. On March 19, [redacted] and [redacted] were the techs that came this time. They were very professional and seemed concerned with my issues. They found the dryer vent pipe clogged and disconnected in my attic. They told me they fully cleaned and reconnected it. They seemed concerned about my prior experience. [redacted] sent a picture of my invoice to the company owner (who I believe is [redacted]'s uncle) and gave me an email address to contact the owner so that I could explain my prior experience. On March 19, 2014, I sent an email to [redacted]@hotmail.com explaining what had happened. I received no response. Several weeks later, I sent a follow up email, forwarding the one from March 19. I received no response. Around the beginning of June 2014, I turned on my air conditioner for the first time this year. I noticed that the condensation was not draining in the usual location (a drainage tube on the side of my house). A few days later, I noticed water dripping from the eaves of my house. I had my gutters cleaned since I believed that was the problem. That was not the problem. The water continued to drain from the eaves of my house. I had two different HVAC companies inspect my system. Both told me that the evaporator coil drain pan (allegedly "cleaned" and "mold treated" by this company) was broken and rusted causing the primary drain to be bypassed. I had no alternative but to replace the HVAC system at that time. On July 25, 2014, I sent a certified mail, return receipt requested (signed for 7/29/14) detailing my experiences with this company. My complaints were (1) the dangerous incomplete dryer vent cleaning; (2) whether the mold treatment was unwarranted due to the condition of the drain pan; and (3) requesting reimbursement for overcharges and unnecessary work. I don't know how to fully describe the bad faith that this company has showed by not responding to any of my attempts to contact them. I also contacted [redacted] to see how this company was selected as a vendor and was told that they had completely checked them out. Documentation of these efforts can be provided if requested.Desired SettlementOptimally, I would like to request a full refund of $700 for the total amount paid to this company. That does not include any reimbursement for missed work for appointments not kept, or for the added expense of having to have the HVAC system replaced. At the very least, I would like to have the cost of the mold/mildew treatment and the dryer vent cleaning refunded.Business Response Its been almost a year since the service was done. Customer has buyers remorse. NO refund will be issued!Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I am not at all surprised to receive this response from this business. No, I do not have buyer's remorse. Not everything is someone else's fault! I would have appreciated some kind of response during the times that I attempted to reach this business. Those efforts began months ago. I really didn't expect anything meaningful to come from the Revdex.com complaint because of the type of values (or lack thereof) of this business and its owners, but would have been satisfied with a statement from the business expressing regret for the way I was treated, my attempts to contact ignored and now dismissed. I would have appreciated any show of responsibility.Final Consumer Response I have not received the offered payment from 1st Choice. Please review prior correspondence including offer of $150 total reimbursement and my acceptance. Thank you.

Advertised deal offered through[redacted] Local was not honored. Details of deal were changed. I purchased a deal through[redacted] Local to get 25 interior AND exterior windows cleaned for $99. Deal stated there would be extra charge for additional windows and screens. On October 7, 2014, technician came to clean windows. He claimed I had 38 windows. What it did NOT state in the dad was that each window pane over 2 feet tall counted as a separate window for additional charge. He also charged for screens saying that it would cost more to remove and not clean than to pay extra for cleaning. (Note: cleaning the screens involved NO additional work.). He informed me there would be an additional $150 charge. I was upset with the charge but agreed to pay to get clean windows. When he finished cleaning the exterior windows, he asked for payment. I asked about the interior windows and he said it would be $150 more. I told him the voucher had said for interior AND exterior cleaning. He told me it was not. I gave him a check and asked him to leave. Desired SettlementI called company and related story. I was promised either a $99 refund or cleaning of my interior windows. Neither happened. I contacted Amazon and they issued me a $99 credit. I don't want these people back in my home. I just want other people to know they advertise one thing and deliver something different.Business Response Customer is more then welcome to contact [redacted] Local for a full refund of $99 since the voucher terms were not honored in her opinion. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)If the company had read my response, they would have seen that [redacted] has already issued me a refund. It is a fact, not an opinion, that the terms were not honored. I want no further action from this company. I just want others to know about their business practices. Final Business Response I understand that the issue is you requested a refund and that refund was given to you even though we when to your house normally we do not allow refunds if we show up someone's home the details states it's per window a window defined as a single sheet of glass. I'm terribly sorry that you are I wish there was something we can do to help you ease your mind I'll be happy to send a technician back out there to clean the inside windows if that'll make you happy. Just please let us know if you would like that thank you. We care about 100% customer satisfaction.

I must write and tell you about the most pitiful carpet cleaners I have ever had. They left water standing and then mold grew on it. They said they would come back, but to no avail. Desired SettlementPoor service.
