I been wanting to go to sesame place for a while now so we bought 4 season passes last year. When we bought them they were bid bird passes but the said it would change to gold passes and that we were able to have special parking for free and are able to bring a friend for free. We were able to park free for a while then one day they told us we couldn’t park there and was very rude. They accused us of lying about being told this information and made us feel like criminals. We went to member services and they also told us that our membership wasn’t gold even though it has a sticker on it that says gold. They were also rude and not very helpful. For paying $800 plus I have no benefits and it makes no point to have this membership. No one helps us with this problem and always makes us seems like bad people. Every time we go a ton of rides are closed for repairs. So after a couple of months of feeling like a criminal and being embarrassed we finally called the help line and talked to a guy there that said we were right and we should be getting the gold advantages. He ensured us he would call the park and fix this so they don’t harass us and make our visits miserable. We went today and again we got hassled and the member services said the people on the phone didn’t know what they were talking about because they are in Florida and it’s different there. So again no one helped us and a bunch of rides were stopped or closed for repairs. My experiences have been horrible and I have no desire to renew all my passes even though my daughter loves sesame. I don’t know who else to contact and I hope I could get a higher person that can fix this problem ASAP. I am very unsatisfied especially with all the money I put into that place with my season tickets and all the merchandise I buy. Someone please contact me because your gonna lose 4 members. Thanks jackie Linn

Below is the letter I sent to my local NBC news station:
Sesame Place Experience- Monday October 31, Good Afternoon MrWilliams,
I wanted to share with you my horrible, racist experience at Sesame Place on Saturday October 29, At 3:40pm my year old daughter and I went to line up for the Sesame Street paradeIt was quite crowded but we were able to find a nitch to squeeze into so she could see the parade To my right were a white woman and her family (husband & young kids in a stroller) Minutes later, 3-young African-American kids came and stood near my daughter almost blocking this woman’s children’s view; causing her to move her stroller back and I’m assuming bumped into the people behind herShe then proceeded to utter the words “well if you didn’t have all your damn kids there this wouldn’t be a problem.” I wasn’t sure who she was talking to; but as I looked to the right she was staring at me and “yes I am talking to you.” I replied “I’m sorry but these are not my kids, I have child up there and we have been here for min now; so you have to speak to those parents.” She became irate and stated “this is what’s wrong with the world; people like youYou’re an animal and need to be caged up”Of course I became enraged hearing these words and knowing my 4-year old heard them as wellSo I yelled at her saying “if you ever call me an animal again; I will *** you up ladyDon’t speak to me like that; I am not your child and don’t appreciate it.” We exchanged words and her husband was shouting at me to “shut up you ***You’re an animal and despicable.” So I directed my anger towards himAt which point the wife called security, who were in close proximity to us, and stated she “doesn’t feel safe here and is being threatened by me.”
white security guards approached just me and said I had to leave because I was being disruptive without hearing the storyI asked them if they heard what the man & woman were calling me and they both said “yes but you are being disruptive because you said the “F” word in front of all these kids, so you need to leave.” I refused to leave until my daughter either saw the parade OR they escort both families outThis continued on for about minutes; as I still refused to leaveThe guards then proceeded to threaten me with calling the police and have me arrested; I told them to go ahead and call because I did nothing wrong and was defending myselfThey said I could be charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing because I refused to leave; which I still wasn’tUntil I saw the look of fear in my daughter’s eyes and her crying hysterically; which made me angry because she saw the way I was being treated; this was the only reason I decided to leave DURING the paradePrior to this the white woman and her husband said “we are leaving; we don’t feel safe and she is an animalWe will see ourselves out.” Of course they allowed them to walk freely to the exit; while escorting me out personallyAs we were leaving the guards were following so closely behind me they kept stepping on the back of my sneakers and nudging me in the direction they wanted me to go I was holding my daughter this entire time and had to stop times and ask them to not follow so closely behind me as they were scaring my child; and made it seem like I stole something from the parkTheir response was “no you are the one scaring her; we have to make sure you exit the park.” I was so embarrassed and frustrated during this walk; they diminished me as a person and completely disregarded the fact I had a child with meThey were mocking how I was acting in the crowd and said I should be ashamed of myselfWhen we approached the exit; I asked to speak with their manager and they refusedI stated I wasn’t leaving the park until I spoke with someoneSo Mike from Security (a white male who wouldn’t give me his last name; said he is the ONLY Mike in security) approached me asking how he can helpI explained what happened; he disregarded it and again said because I used profanity I had to leave and apologized for the language used against me He said he couldn’t really do anything else for me and leftI started crying at this point because I was so angry, frustrated and hurtI then noticed Mike and the other security guards talking to the woman and her husband (who were allowed to walk on their on free will to the front of the park; while I was being followed)I overheard the woman asking for a security escort to their car because they didn’t feel safe with me thereMrW*** I am 5’2” pound woman; what could I have possibly done to that family AND with the children thereMike approached me again and said I had to leave; finally I was followed out of the park by white male security guards to the cross walk of the parking lot; while another personally escorted the family of to their carI am well aware of what is going on in this country but I couldn’t believe this was happening to MEI am a year old professional, black woman and NEVER have I been spoken to like thisI was a paying customer; spending over $150; just like anyone else who entered the park and to be treated in such a manner and not feel protection from the park was VERY disappointingI will NEVER visit Sesame Place again and I will let anyone who listens hear this as wellThank you for your timeIssa B***

I went to sesame place on Thursday 7/19/18 , We went into Cookies Café, to eat and one of the young lady staff name Jen ,was being so rude and nasty to us. Remind you we were with children. I ask where do we get adult chicken tenders because, I did not see any nor was on the menu, so I did not know if you need to ask or they will put them up.. She immediately caught attitude and started to throw tenders into plates that they were flying off and I told her why she had attitude because I only asked her she said because no body don't know nothing and was rolling her eyes, I Told her she shouldn't be working in a kids place if she going to act like that she left serving area was talking to other young ladies and started to be on her phone. I proceed with my order and went to eat upstairs I was so frustrated I ask one of the young ladies cleaning table to get a manager.. Manager Angel said sorry , and he said she think she can do what ever she wants, he asked what do you want us to do about the situation I told him to give her a warning.. But threw out the park a lot of the young people working or very nasty and rude can't believe they hired these people in a so called friendly and family place. I think they need to re train them or get rid of them. I have the platinum pass and I say to one of the lady oh the kids can stay on because they have the pass, she said what pass. I told her the platinum pass she asked a coworker and he said oh I don't care what ever. How they work there and don't even know the policy or benefits to certain pass..

Review: I purchased four tickets at $34.00 per ticket through [redacted] for admissions to Sesame Place. The promotional period expired in June; however, based on my [redacted] the purchase amount for each ticket never expires. I contacted cust service at Sesame Place in late August and told them that I was online looking at tickets and wouLd like to apply the credit that they have for me to four tickets at $53.00/piece. After an hour on the phone they finally came back with a decision that they will not apply the credit to an online ticket pricing because my purchase has to be made at the gate at the price of $63.00/piece. After the end of that call I got on the phone with [redacted] with my dispute, they in turn referred the issue to Shari S[redacted] a rep from Sesame Place. She informed me that I cannot apply two promotions to one ticket. I explained to her that my intention is to apply the credit that I have with Sesame Place to upgraded ticket prices, I am willing to pay the difference, but I thought that it was wrong for me not to be able to purchase tickets at online prices when I am in essence using a credit of $136.00 of my money that I initially paid to purchase the promotional ticket (which I never used therefore I really didnt use a promotion). It baffles me that this company has my money and is unwilling to apply my money to a product that is offered by them! Please note that within the fine print of my [redacted] there is nothing that states that tickets have to be purchased at the gate it says that the amount paid will be applied to an upgraded ticket.Desired Settlement: What I really want is a refund from this company because I am disgusted with their customer service even at an administrative level i.e. Shari S[redacted]. Shari S[redacted] had the audacity to tell me I would have to forfeit money they have for me if I dont agree with them! She is very condescending and spoke to me as if I was inferior to her when I'm referring to money that I spent as a consumer for a product that I did not use! I started this process in August when weather permitted me to visit the park to enjoy all the rides and activities the park has to offer. Now that the weather has changed and it's back to school they have deprived me and my kids of that experience. I would like for Sesame place to allow me the opportunity to apply my credit to the upgraded ticket of my choice.
