Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory...

to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
Regards,
[redacted].  It is worth noting that their websire says approx. 10 days turnaround time, not 4-5 weeks, as they are now asserting.

OK why am I receiving a second complaint from the same person regarding the same claim.  The customer final communicated with us directly and gave us the correct name an address of the order. The person making this claim is not the same person we received an order from.
The...

order was processed on the 28th of Dec. And our website on the front page clearly stated a two week turn around. The client actually has the items now. They where never sold on eBay.... the order was simply one week late. And because the claimant has their items sharpened and returned in perfect condition we are consider this case closed. By the way we never received a voicemail or an email from this claimant but they did call and hangup without leaving a message.

Website says 4 to 5 week turn around we are still working on it!!! Will be out by the 10th priority mail.

The items where returned sharpened as paid for.  My father passed away, I don't know what he wants but the golf clubs did  it even have a value of $30. They we're all severly damaged and we did our best to try and regroove the 6 golf clubs.

We will ship the chisels out as good as new on Monday Sept.14th.  We will also include a credit for $50 toward a new sharpening for our delay.  We are a small family owned business and my father had to have triple bypass surgery in Early Aug. and that put us behind for all orders....

Please accept the credit for the delay.
Regards,

Greg, I too was ripped off by this bogus outfit. I sent in two hunting knifes with a check for $24.00. The check was cashed and my knives were never returned. I called them multiple times, sent emails, and even filed a complaint with the Revdex.com of S. California, and both their queries were never answered. I suggest filing a police report with Chula Vista P.D. It costs nothing to file and it will be investigated as a theft. You can also file a civil claim against this fake outfit in court. I am planning on doing both this week .. Its time this thieving b[redacted] is jailed.

This Review is about the following Co:

The Sharpening Shack

Sent my knife in 9 weeks ago, their communication is terrible THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE OR MULTIPLE EMAILS!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFIT!

Review: I mailed in THREE straight edge razors valued in the hundreds of dollars to this business as per their instructions, over a month ago. They cashed my check On 6-1-2014(over a month ago) I still have not received my items back. I have called them ofer 12 times and left over 6 messages. I have also emailed them several times , with no response.Desired Settlement: I would like my items back.

You're wasting your time dealing with this bogus outfit. The Revdex.com sent two letters to this "business" and both went un-responded to. They suggested filing a police report with Chula Vista P.D. and also file with the small claims court for that district. This is the only way this thieving b[redacted] will be held accountable for online theft. I will be filing with the P.D. this week and following-up with legal action pending the P.D.'s response.

Review: I sent 7 chisels to this company to be sharpened and cleaned in mid July. My check was cashed immediately.I have not recieved my chisels yet, even though the company website promises 10 day turn around.

I have repeatedly called, only to get voicemail with no response. I have also sent multiple emails. The company has yet to respond to any of my inquiries causing me to suspect fraud.Desired Settlement: I just want my chisels back, sharpened or not. If not, I expect a full refund of $62.25.

My employer sent in 2 knives to get sharpened - which were received by the company almost a month ago. With multiple e-mails and calls and no response as to any details on the knives or whether they would be sharpened or even if they had any plans to give them back.

The e-mail addresses on their site have been reached out to with no reply, and the phone number goes to a directly-to-voicemail message.

Very disappointed in the level of service from this company.

Review: I shipped a fairly expensive knife and custom sheath to The Sharpening Shack on July 8th for sharpening and reconditioning. The check I wrote for payment cleared my bank on July 18th. I have not received my knife back from the company, and they do not answer their phone or reply to email.Desired Settlement: I wnt my knife and custom sheath returned to me, preferably expertly sharpened and reconditioned.

Review: I sent a knife to the Sharpening Shack for sharpening and reconditioning. It was returned to me moderately sharp; but they did so much grinding on it they actually changed the shape of the blade and the grind angle is off by a sixteenth of an inch from one side to the other. They also do not answer their business telephone or respond to emails.Desired Settlement: This knife is moderately rare and valuable, having been out of production for about 25 years. Similar models can by found on the used market or from other manufacturer. I want the $40 I have into their service with shipping returned to me and another $110 to cover what I paid for this knife 2 months ago. (Total $150).

Business

Response:

We performed a Wicked Edge Sharpening that is done using digital angle measuring devie o get edge within one degree. The original manufacturers primary grind is off so when we grind a new edge perfert on an imperfect primary grind it may make one edge slightly larger tha the other side because of the original imporfection. The customer requested a Wicked Edge sharpening service and that what we delivered a knife that you could shave hairs on you arm with.

Review: sent 7 expensive products to be sharpened 12/22/2015 along with check for $33.75.

Check was cashed 12/28/2015, products have not been returned

There is no way to contact by phone

they have not replied to emailsDesired Settlement: want products returned and refund for $33.75

if this vendor has similar complaints I suggest further action be taken by Revdex.com to report possible fraudulent business and to warn consumers of this non responsive business

Review: This company provides the service of knife and tool sharpening. I have had a previous positive experience with this company. A check, service order, and my property were sent to said company on the 1rst of February. The check was cashed shortly after but I have yet to receive back my property. Multiple phone calls and voicemails were made, I have inquired by email multiple times, and have mailed my question but have received nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like my property returned and money back.

Review: I sent some golf clubs for repair in june- was told they were completed in june and would be mailed to me that week-they are FULLY PAID FOR--since then IF they answer the phone or email all I got was the run around--check [redacted] their are others with same experience-now they don't even answer--I have already replaced the clubs to my customers out of my pocket--I just want those clubs returned so I can recoup some of that loss--Desired Settlement: just want my clubs back and an it sign for my hat---

Review: Back on 5/19/2014 I sent four wood chisels and a plane iron blade to be sharpened. Also included with the tools was a check in the amount of $35.75 to cover the cost to have the tools sharpened. They have chased my check for the services to be performed, but to this date I have not received my tools. I have called them several times, but all I get is a voicemail and my messages have not been returned. I have also emailed them, and have not received a replay to my email. So if this does not get resolved, I am out the $35.75 plus the replacement cost of my tools. Was also thinking about filing a report with the city attorney in Chula Vista. I first contact by phone was to let them know that I failed to include the return shipping charge of $10.75, and that I would be willing to give them my credit card # to cover that cost. Left this message on their voicemail.Desired Settlement: Perform the sharpening services requested and return my tools. If services cannot be performed, return my tools and a refund for the check that I sent. If they would also contact me as soon as possible would be great, so I know what is going on!!!!

Received my tools today. Service was performed to my satisfaction. No explanation from vendor as to why they took so long to perform the service, and why they never replied to my e-mails or phone calls.

Thank you for your help. Maybe all it took was a letter form you to get vendor to complete the service??
