Review: I was contracted to vendor for two days on October [redacted] and [redacted] at Shecky's Philadelphia at which I paid $600 for two days. On September [redacted] (after I have spent time and money advertising my business and that I will be vendoring for both days, I received the following email:

Dear valued Shecky’s vendor,

I’m writing to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances the Shecky’s Fall 2014 Season Philadelphia event has been consolidated to just one day . The new event date is: Wednesday, October [redacted]

The event hours and venue will remain the same:

· [redacted]

· Doors open to attendees from 4:30pm-9:30pm

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this change causes.

As a vendor that has already registered for both days of this event, what options do I have?

· You may keep your registration active for our Fall Philadelphia event and receive a partial refund.

· You may transfer your registration to any of our Fall 2014/Spring 2015 Season event days/cities.

· You may cancel your registration completely for the Philadelphia event, and then apply the amount that you’ve paid towards any other Shecky’s event in 2014/2015.

(If you’re not sure which other event you want to register for at this time, we’ll hold the amount that you’ve paid as a credit on your account.)

· Yes. You may cancel your registration completely, and your entire participation fee will be refunded to you.

I responded that I would like a partial refund - $300 for the one day that they canceled.

I have reached out repeatedly to follow up on my refund, and have not received any communication back and have not received my refund.Desired Settlement: I expect to receive $300 asap for the day that they canceled.

Review: I bought a ticket for "Girls Night Out" and received an email on October [redacted] saying the event was canceled and to contact our credit card company to reverse the charges. I have a different credit card now, so after emailing and calling several times (not being able to leave a message because the mail box is full), I have gotten no where.Desired Settlement: I would like my $11 back in full.

Review: I purchased a season pass as I always do in the amount of $70.77 which should have included 6 events for the upcoming year (on another purchase I also purchased a gift certificate in the amount of $15 which I can't use). Shecky's had 2 events and then disappeared. I reached out to them twice via their site and email regarding the circumstance and did not receive a response back. My order numbers are # [redacted] & # [redacted] which I have receipts for.Desired Settlement: I want my money back since I paid for something that I can not use and something that sheckys can not provide me services for.

Review: I worked the Shecky's Girls Night Out event in [redacted] on September **, 2014 between 12PM - 6:30PM as well as September **, 2014 between 12PM - 9:30PM. It has been 4 weeks since the date of the event, and I have not received payment for my work [the other two girls who worked with me have not received their payment either]. I have attempted to contact [redacted] at Shecky's Media, who was my point of contact at the event, and have been unsuccessful. I emailed him three times: first request sent on September **, second request sent on September **, and third request sent on September **. I stated the following in my first request email: "[redacted] - please confirm that the payment check has been sent." I stated the following In my second request email: "Second request - [redacted] - please confirm the payment check has been sent." I stated the following In my third request email: "THIRD REQUEST - please confirm the payment has been sent for the Shecky's Girls Night Out D.C. event I worked on September **, 2014. I have attempted to contact you twice, and this is the third and final attempt. If I do not receive an email response, I will be contacting the Revdex.com as well as the NY State Attorney General's office for mediation. PLEASE CONFIRM." All three of my emails went unanswered and ignored. I was also calling Shecky's, in addition to sending emails. I was never able to reach [redacted] at either of his extensions [he has two: x41 and x8]. I spoke to the receptionists almost every day who either told me that [redacted] "is out of the office today" or [redacted] is "unavailable". When I inquired as to which day/date he would be in the office or available, I was generally provided an answer of "tomorrow". However when I would call the following day, [redacted] was again either "out of the office" or "unavailable". Following my third request email, I called Shecky's main phone number again, as per my usual process to attempt to reach [redacted] and I was finally routed to him on the day following my third email. He claimed that the payment check was ready and said he would follow up with "the girl" to make sure it would be sent out. This was roughly two weeks ago. Today, 4 weeks after the event, I have not received any sort of payment. I have also contacted the [redacted] of the firm, [redacted], as well as various other individuals who have listed an affiliation with Shecky's Media on [redacted]. My requests have not been addressed or answered. In my research online, I have also come to learn that there is a community of individuals who are still awaiting payment for work performed in 2014 and even 2013! This is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional, to say the least. The company's questionable and disgraceful manner in conducting business and lack of paying employees has largely gone undetected, as most individuals have simply moved forward. However, I'll leave aside my intent to shed light on Shecky's shady business practices for the purposes of this claim, and focus primarily on the fact that I am owed payment for the hours worked on September [redacted], 2014. This company should be held liable for non-payment to employees who have in large part progressed and accelerated the success of the company's name across all of Shecky's nationwide events. To this date, I am still awaiting a response, whether verbal or written, from [redacted]/ any of Shecky's affiliated associates. I am also still awaiting the payment that is rightfully owed to me.Desired Settlement: Payment for hours worked on September [redacted], 2014 at Shecky's Girls Night Out in Washington, D.C.

Do not purchase tickets to any of their events in reading their complaints and from my own personal experience Sheckys seems known for canceling events and then not refunding back the money paid to attend these events. I filed a complaint if I hear back and my problem is resolved I will gladly update my review but as for now just stay away and avoid all the stress that this company brings. I have been waiting months for my refund of 3 tickets I purchased 2 months in advance for a Sheckys Girls Night out event in NYC on Oct. **/**. Which needless to say was cancelled. I have not been able to contact anyone and no one has even tried to contact me regarding my refund and I have been trying for months to get in touch with someone anyone at this point.

Review: On 9/**/2014 I had decided to purchase tickets for Shecky's Girls Night Out in Chicago, IL. A month later on 10/**/2014, I received the following email: [redacted] via [redacted]

Dear Ticket Buyer,

Unfortunately we have been forced to postpone The Chicago Shecky’s events until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. As we want to make sure you receive a refund in the most timely manner, we suggest that you cancel the charge with your credit card company. Unfortunately, we are a small staff and are not able to process the number of transactions in a timely manner as they are all done manually. We apologize again for this inconvenience.

I sent a request to them via their website regarding a refund in December I believe, but did not get a response back. I sent them another request today.Desired Settlement: Just a refund like they promised.

Review: On October **, 2014 I received an email informing me of the cancellation of an event scheduled for November **, 2014 in Houston, TX. The email suggested I contact my credit card company to cancel the charge in order to receive a refund. I originally made my purchase for the event ticket on July **, 2014, when tickets went on sale. Order #[redacted]. I've tried contacting Customer Service by email and phone to inform them that my credit card company will not do a claim for a purchase I intentionally made three months ago. After several attempts I have not received a response from Shecky's regarding this matter.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my refund in the amount of $10.83
