[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: My alternator was replaced with a refurbished alternatorWhen asked why didn't they replace the alternator with a new one, I was told that the refurbished alternator cost $dollars and it was the same as a new one, with an attitude that they were doing me a favorI told them they should have replaced it with a new alternatorSince the replacement of the refurbished alternator my car makes this airy noise while drivingI have taken it back to Sheehy but they were unable to duplicate the sound and find the problemI have to take it to them when it is making the noiseTwo weeks ago (Sunday, June 2015) while driving home from Williamsburg, VA the car would not accelerate when pulling off at traffic light twice and the car would not come out of first gearI took the car into Sheehy on Monday, 15, June and left it there for the dayUpon picking my car in the evening I was told they could not find anything wrongThey also said they connected it to a computer and got no readingBecause the car would not accelerate and would not come out of 1st gear I took my car to [redacted] Transmission; they hooked the computer up to the car and got a reading that the Computer could not read the speed of the transmission and it would not change out of 1st gear to protect the engineMy car was running fine until they messed it up with the oil changeI believe the refurbished alternator may be causing the problemsI am not satisfied with replacing my alternator with a refurbished alternator instead of a new alternatorAlso, The hood cover was damaged when the oil was cleaned off of the carI pointed that out to the manager and I was asked if I wanted it replaced and I told him yes and the manager said he would When I mentioned this to the intake person on the 15th of June I was told I will have to take that up with the manager Thank you for your assistance Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:My primary complaint was that one of Sheehy's sales people - Conrad - verbally told me that we had a deal at $17,and shook my hand. My son also witnessed this exchange. After the handshake, we sat for minutes waiting for the next steps before another Sheehy representative came over and said that they would not honor the deal Conrad and I had made. A person from Sheehy did call me over week later after I had already contacted Revdex.com, Hyundai Corporate Office and Sheehy management. After I explained the situation he said he would check into it and call me back. That was weeks ago and I have not heard from him since. I also heard from a Sheehy representative via email who said "I am embarrassed by this situation." I have not heard back from him either.In what business is a handshake agreement not considered the end of a negotiation? How can a manager come over and back out of a deal made between a customer and one of his employees? This is dishonest and is the primary reason why I contacted the Revdex.com in the first place

Contacted Customer on 7/She took her vehicle to Our Nissan White Marsh location as she lives in BaltimoreWhite Marsh determined that is was not just a bulboffered for *** *** to bring the vehicle back to us for a diagnostic however that was inconvenientWe discussed a suitable

The customer's vehicle was finished on October 10th, She was contacted on the 10th and twice after to inform her the vehicle was readyThe customer states she never received the calls or voicemailsA few days later the customer stated her husband received a voicemail from *** rental

alternator.  The charging system light did illuminate within a couple of days and on 05/22/2015 Sheehy Hyundai did replace the alternator on the vehicle at no charge to the customer.  The customer was provideded transportation during this time.The customer has written that they wish Sheehy to held liable for any damage to her car.  At this time it appears that any damage to Mrs. [redacted]'s [redacted] due to the oil spill has been rectified.

I am rejecting this response because:  My alternator was replaced with a refurbished alternator. When asked why didn't they replace the alternator with a new one,  I was told that the refurbished alternator cost $400 dollars and it was the same as a new one, with an attitude that they were doing me a favor. I told them they should have replaced it with a new alternator. Since the replacement of the refurbished alternator my car makes this airy noise while driving. I have taken it back to Sheehy but they were unable to duplicate the sound and find the problem. I have to take it to them when it is making the noise. Two weeks ago (Sunday, 14 June 2015) while driving home from Williamsburg, VA the car would not accelerate when pulling off at traffic light twice and the car would not come out of first gear. I took the car into Sheehy on Monday, 15, June and left it there for the day. Upon picking my car in the evening I was told they could not find anything wrong. They also said they connected it to a computer and got no reading. Because the car would not accelerate and would not come out of 1st gear I took my car to [redacted] Transmission; they hooked the computer up to the car and got a reading that the Computer could not read the speed of the transmission and it would not change out of 1st gear to protect the engine. My car was running fine until they messed it up with the oil change. I believe the refurbished alternator may be causing the problems. I am not satisfied with replacing my alternator with a refurbished alternator instead of a new alternator. Also, The hood cover was damaged when the oil was cleaned off of the car. I pointed that out to the manager and I was asked if I wanted it replaced and I told him yes and the manager said he would.  When I mentioned this to the intake person on the 15th of June I was told I will have to take that up with the manager.  Thank you for your assistance.
