Sheraton Hotel Reviews (27)

I highly recommend Alpha Omega Garage Doors. [redacted] is always prompt, professional, thorough, honest and reasonably priced. AO was a referral from a friend that spoke very highly of [redacted]. The reviews from other customers are spot on. I am very happy to use AO and to refer them to others needing their services. One of the best services around with impeccable customer service.

Randy Hartwright of Alpha Omega Garage Doors and Gates was hired by myself (Jim Butcher) of Trophy Club, Tx 76262 for repairs to our garage doors and our gate (which did not work at all), He assess the problems at new home and fixed the gates to work properly and the two garage door openers all worked together. I was very pleased with his services and have used him on a couple of occasions now. I am making this recommendation because it is important to let people know when a company does good work and takes care of their customers in a professional manner. We even installed a keypad that works all three devices (doors and gate) from the outside with security codes. I am very pleased with the work of this company and Randy.

We have had Alpha Omega out to her house several times as the house has aged. The repairs done have always been effective, reasonably priced, and prompt. We rely on [redacted] for all of our garage door needs.

Review: I used their phone to make phone calls since I do not have a cell phone. I have a phone card, and called the 800 number eight times. They charge me $2 each time to call the 800 number, resulting in a bill of $16. I did not see any mention on fees associated with dialing an 800 number on their phone. In addition, when I checked out, they did not give the receipt or print out. I only found out after they sent me a bill by email. This could have been simply avoided if there had been a specific mention that using a phone to make an 800 number will automatically result in charge or they had printed out the bill. I called and complained to somebody at the front desk. I was told that somebody will immediately call me back, but it never happened. The amount is small, but I find this irrelevant, absurd and ridiculous. There should not be any cost to hotel except for electricity. What would be the next? Charging a customer when he/she changes a temperature setting?Desired Settlement: Refund. It does not make sense at all to charge a customer for dialing an 800 number.

Review: On February 7, 2014 I booked a room at the Sheraton New Orleans (Reservation #[redacted])for the July 4th weekend. On April 21, 2014 I was informed that my room was cancelled due to the lack of payment of a deposit. I was never informed that a deposit was needed I would've gladly paid it to secure my room. Not only did I lose my reservation I was then told that a payment of $257.00 would be taken from account for the the first night payment. I explained that that would not be aproblem if it could be applied to the accomodations that I had in place for three months. I was further informed that although the deposit was forfeited the hotel and been sold out and no addition arrangements could be made. I am now forced to find other arrangements considering flight reservations and Essence Festival tickets were purchased. At this late date alot of Hotels are sold out & I am left scratching my head as to what to do. I would like to be reimbursed for that deposit that was taken from me, considering no one ever said anything about a deposit on a hotel. I was told that the hotel e-mailed me, however, I am not one who checks email on a daily basis unless I am looking for something specific. The hotel was given a phone number why didn't someone called I would have remitted payment at that point. Normally, hotels charge you when you check in. This type of practice is just foreign to me.Desired Settlement: 1. I would like to be reimbursed for that deposit that was taken from me.2. I would like my initial reservation put back in place.

Review: I stayed at this property on 1/23/2015 and checked out on 1/24/2015. I was travelling on official business as a government employee. I provided state of Louisiana tax exempt form upon check in and was told to provide it to the front desk upon check out which I did. I was given a hard copy for the correct amount and I was emailed a folio with a "updated and final" in the same amount. Out of the blue a few days later, on 1/26/2015 my card on file with SPG was fraudulently charged $22.27 (lodging taxes from which I was exempt) This unauhorized charge posted to my travel card statement a few days later on 1/28/2015. I spoke with the accounting and billing department at the Sheraton New Orleans a [redacted] and was told I need to email a copy of the tax exempt form to their office which I did. Then I received a very flippant email saying that what I emailed them wasn't correct. I asked for a fax number and then faxed the form to the accounting and billing office. In ten years of travelling for work and leisure with SPG I have never experienced the level of rudeness and unprofessional business practices that I experienced during my dealing with the billing and accounting department at the Sheraton New OrleansDesired Settlement: I want the $22.27 in lodging taxes credited back to my travel card on file as the trip was official business.

Review: Greetings,

On Saturday, May 25th I checked into the Sheraton [redacted] Hotel (Formerly Sheraton [redacted]) on [redacted], VA [redacted] for what I thought would have been a great 3 night experience but it was not. As a proud graduate of one of the top hospitality schools in New England, I wanted to make mention of the incidences that happened in the hotel. ~ [redacted]

CHECK-In

I had just booked the hotel through [redacted] earlier that afternoon. [redacted] was terrific. When they booked the hotel which I verified online I reserved 1 room with a king size bed, high floor, view and a refrigerator. I arrived to the hotel that evening around 8:30pm or so and the front desk staff checked me in but said they didn’t have that room available. He said sometimes it happens that you book a room and you get to the hotel and it’s just not available. I looked at him very calmly and said I just booked the room less than a few hours ago and so I’d like that room. He then took a few minutes and then came back and said, okay the room is available. Why would he even say anything of the sort I’m not sure and had I not pressed the issue I’m unsure which room he would have put me in.

REFRIGERATOR

I get up stairs and realize the refrigerator wasn’t in the room, which I thought no problem I will just call down stairs to the front desk. I pleasantly asked for one to be sent up. About 45 mins goes by .no refrigerator so I call again, and they ask me if it has arrived. I said no that’s why I’m calling again. Another half hour goes by and nothing. Finally about another 15-20 mins or so passes and I hear a knock. The lady comes in to say the front desk gave her the wrong room number 3 times and she was knocking on the wrong doors.

I then called early Sunday morning to have the refrigerator removed and they never came. I’m waiting to see my bill and if they charged me for the refrigerator even after I requested they remove it because I was all done.

MENU

The next evening I call downstairs to ask to be sent up a room service menu because there wasn’t one in the room. I called down stairs and the lady says sure we’ll have one sent up. A half hour + goes by and nothing was sent up. So I called downstairs again and instead of the guy who answers the phone saying, sure we’ll send one right up. He proceeds to argue with me and ask me to check in the desk drawer, clothing drawer, night stand drawer did I check in the other drawer because they are usually up there in the room. At that point I didn’t think I was going to be interrogated with questions. I said to him I’ve checked in all the drawers 2 times already and it’s not there can you just send someone up with one. He says fine and hangs up. Another 20 mins goes by and finally a lady comes upstairs with the menu.

NO TRASH TAKE OUT

At this hotel and others that I’ve stayed you have the option of not having your bed changed every day that you are there and if you don’t they will give you a $5 coupon to use anywhere in the hotel. Now I was only there for 3 days and I’m a single female, showers twice a day especially before bed so it’s no problem going green and not having the ladies come in to strip by bed. However, I did expect they would at least look in the room to remove the trash. They did not so I bagged up the trash myself went up the hall and asked the ladies who didn’t really understand me but I left it for them to take. It’s a great idea to go green but at the very least they should come in to remove the trash daily or call to ask me if they can remove it.

LOUD NEIGHBORS IN THE CONNECTING ROOM, RESULTED IN CALLING SECURITY

It was after 2am in the morning and there was a group of guys in the room next door yelling, laughing, and having a good time. Had it not been after 2am in the morning I may have been able to

deal. I called the front desk and asked for a manager. They said no manager was on duty but there was a supervisor. I spoke to the lady and told her they are so very loud and asked if she can have someone come up here and tell them to tone it down. She said she would get a security escort and she would go next door.

Now I’m right next door so I can hear everything. Whoever comes up stairs and knocks on their door, and less than 10 seconds later their door closes. There was no sternness, no consequences being shared, no conversation took place. As soon as their door closes less than 3 minutes later they were back at it. The supervisor did not call back to follow-up, apologize nor ask if the noise had stopped. The neighbors went on until around 3am in the morning and then some guys came out the room, slammed the door and you could hear them talking up the hallway.

LOUD & OUT OF DATE Air Conditioner (a/c) in the room

I stayed in what I believe was in room [redacted], don’t quote me but it was on the 9th floor. And the a/c in that room is not central air so you have the old type machine under the window and it was awful, so horribly loud. I need quiet to sleep but the thing sounded like a truck on its way out. I called downstairs and the supervisor said they would make a request.

NO WAKE UP CALL

I called on Monday evening for a wakeup call Tuesday at 11am since I had to catch my flight and no wakeup call came. What a great way to end my stay at the Sheraton Hotel in [redacted], VA.Desired Settlement: Refund
