Skinny IQ Reviews (30)

Wanted to use an app. In order to use the app you had to agree to try certain products/services. After doing all that was required (including choosing SkiinnyIQ as an option) the app still would not open. I immediately cancelled all the other offers, but SkinnyIQ requires you to pay $9 plus to keep their product because they claim they can't stop the delivery or you can return at your expense. Needless to say, I am extremely frustrated. I will be watching my credit card as they really want to charge over $94 for the product. They keep saying I agreed to a legal and binding contract, but I explained they are attached to a fraudulant app. I even tried to contact the app using the email provided and it came back failed to deliver.

Mr. [redacted],We recently received your complaint from the Revdex.com regarding your Skinny IQ account. We take complaints very seriously and we hope this response will provide you with additional information. According to our records, we received your order on...

June 17, 2013 and shipped your package the same day.The terms of the offer that you agreed to at the time of your order clearly state that you were to have a one week trial period starting from the date of your order processing in which you could cancel your account to avoid further charges.  They also indicate that “you must take affirmative action to avoid further charges or you will be charged in the amount of $94.31 eight days from the date of your order processing for the product.”  These terms were presented to you in multiple places on our website when you ordered our product. Additionally, you were sent an order confirmation email after your order was completed that provided a full written version of the terms you agreed to. When you ordered the product you also checked a box indicating that you had read and agreed to the terms of the offer. When a customer checks that box we must assume that they have actually done what they are stating they did. If there was any confusion with the terms you could have called our customer service team and they would have been happy to assist you.Since you did not cancel during your trial period, you were charged $94.31 on June 25, 2013. To date we have never received any correspondence from you to cancel your account or request a refund. Had you contacted us we would have been happy to assist you with a refund. On July 15, 2013 we received notification that you had disputed your charges with your credit card company in the form of a retrieval. Your account was immediately canceled and you have not received any shipments or charges since then.Since that time you have filed several frivolous chargebacks and retrievals against this charge and were unsuccessful each time. I apologize but you are not eligible for any refund. Your account remains canceled and you will not receive any further shipments or charges.[redacted]Skinny IQ

This purchase was part of one step of the promotion. This promotion had other steps which I did not complete. I thought or felt that if I did not complete all steps in the promotion, I would not be liable for any purchases. How come Skinny IQ was the only company out of 4 or 5 purchases that I was processing out of two or three steps of this promotion is the only company I am having difficulty resolving. I did the same thing on all pending purchases, where I returned all products via  United States Post Office marked with " Return to Sender ". In all cases except Skinny IQ's, there were no charges, or my credit card was refunded. Skinny IQ's charge of me not having any proof of them receiving the product back is "Very Questionable" . The return had my name and address on the package from their mailing of the product. They knew it was being returned from me. I say they failed to proceed on their end to follow up with appropriate steps to make sure I was refunded. The product was untouched, not opened, and good for resale. So what, they sold the product again and received their money. Twice ????

The first time we heard from you regarding the cancelation of your account was on March 10, 2014 when you used our automated phone system. At that time you

accepted an offer through our phone system to keep your initial trial shipment for an extremely reduced rate of $9.41 which also canceled your account.

You did have multiple options presented to you, including the option to return your product to avoid this, and all charges, however because you selected to keep your product for the discounted rate you are not eligible for a return or refund. Your account remains canceled and you will not receive any other shipments or charges.

Mr. [redacted],

We recently received your complaint from the Revdex.com regarding

your SkinnyIQ account. According to our records, we received your order on December

14, 2013.

The terms of the offer that you...

agreed to at the time of your order clearly

state that you were to have a one week trial period starting from the date of

your order processing in which you could cancel your account to avoid further

charges.  They also indicate that “you

must take affirmative action to avoid further charges or you will be charged in

the amount of $94.31 eight days from the date of your order processing for the

product.”

These terms were presented to you in multiple places on our website when you

ordered our product. Additionally, you were sent an order confirmation email

after your order was completed that provided a full written version of the

terms you agreed to.

When you ordered the product you also checked a box indicating that you had

read and agreed to the terms of the offer. When a customer checks that box we

must assume that they have actually done what they are stating they did. If

there was any confusion with the terms you could have called our customer

service team and they would have been happy to assist you.

We are unable to stop any

shipments. Once you process your order you are able to cancel your account and

arrange to return the product to avoid further charges, as specified in our

purchase terms.

Your product must be received back

by January 22, 2013 to avoid the full charge of $94.31 for the product. Please

note the return deadline date; I did extend it beyond our normal 15 day return

timeframe to allow you ample time to return the product.

Mr. [redacted], When you submitted your order you were required to agree to our purchase terms. Those terms state that you must take affirmative action to cancel your account. We have myriad ways that a customer can cancel their account. We have an automated phone system, an online cancellation form, and a customer service group at your disposal. All of these options are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unfortunately you failed to abide by the purchase terms and were charged for the product that you ordered and did not cancel. We are unable to issue a refund due to the fact that you have filed multiple disputes against the charge in question. Your account remains canceled and you will not receive further shipments or charges. I am considering this matter closed.
