I have been a customer of esurance for several yearsWhen I purchased a new vehicle they needed some documents signed and sent in, when I sent the documents in provided by them I thought everything was fine until I got an email saying my policy has been canceledI caked then to try to resolve the situation and talked to several people only for them to tel me they can't reinstate my policy and the reason it was canceled was because the document was unacceptableNeedless to say they provided the document in the first place so with no warning my insurance got canceled!

Esurance requires you to provide them with a credit card or bank account which they can access at will, in order to have auto insurance with themThen my experience has been that they continually look for ways to hit me up for more money and because they have my account info and can take money out of my account whether I agree to the additional expense or notTheir biggest gimmick has been a device I accepted to be used on a car driven primarily by my son, which was supposed to lower my rate, if he maintained a good driving recordMy son has done his part, but this device has not saved us any money and Esurance is continually trying to bill additional fees related to this deviceTo get rid of it, I have to pay them a restocking feeThey also tried to bill me additional fees when they found they did not have a device available for my carEven though they never sent the device to me, they tried to bill me a restocking feeIf I had not vigorously protested their action, they would have taken money out of my account for something that was entirely their own faultMy experience with them has been annoying and frustratingIn addition, they quoted me a price for home insurance, then after payment, sent me a note saying they would not insure the roof of my home because the roof had not been recently replaced

Upon review of my insurance I was given a price They ran my MVR & that price went down I paid for the first two months I was transferred to another individual, & was asked a series of questions that should have been provided through the MVR report I answered all questions truthfully They then added an additional $per month to my policy!!!!

The worst company for claims got into a motor vehicle accident And it was ok in the beginning after the adjuster came it became nothing but hell and fustration, and had to ask for help from the state

Esurance increased rates 31% on first renewal after switching to them last AugustSame vehicles, same drivers, no change in credit rating, no accidents, no violations, no claims, the only thing to was the 31% increase in ratesThe original policy cost was $which was increased to $1,with the only explanation being; "The increase to your premium is the result of an update to the way we calculate rates in Minnesota."I've already switched to another carrier with pricing very close to the original $6-month rate which seems to be fairly consistent pricing with other providersIncluded the customer service explanation letter of the significant rate increase belowPosting this just to see if others are experiencing similar price gouging with esuranceDear ***,
