The Driver Update scanning screen comes up every morning when I reopen my Windows with a misleading request to use their paid service to update drivers that anyone can do for free on the website using the drivers. I've been unable to remove the pop-up banner software and the company's phone number listed by Revdex.com is always busy.This is obviously a scam to get people to subscribe and get nothing of value for their money. This should be removed as spam and action against Slimware Utilities Holdings should be taken. should be taken.

I sent the following response on Friday, and tried to call today...

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please uninstall the program using the steps below:
 
1.Make sure the program is completely turned off. Even if you can't see DriverUpdate, it might be running in the background. Look for the small DriverUpdate icon in the taskbar (the area in the bottom right-hand corner next to the clock).
 
If the icon is there, right-click it and select “Exit.”
 
If the icon is not there, the program is completely shut down.
 
2.Once the program is no longer running, please go to Start >> Control Panel >> Uninstall a Program
 
3.Find DriverUpdate in the list of programs, highlight it and click, “Uninstall.”
 
You can also delete the following folder:
 
C:\program files(x86)\DriverUpdate
 
If you still have an issue, please let me know and I will provide further instructions. Thank you.

I have repeatedly asked Driver Update renewal ads to be removed. No amount of clicking No or no renewal works. A "would you like to renew box arrives on my desktop every time I turn my computer on. Clicking NO just leads to another box wanting me to renew - there the NO doesn't do anything. Ads just continue!
What kind of a company is this? How do I convince them I DO NOT want to renew?

I am a software engineer and request a full investigation by the FBI into this software company. I have read the complaints given by the Revdex.com and find that the Revdex.com is too accepting of the response of this company. My mother is blind and has two applications by this company on her computer, both that she did not download or ask for. When you try to remove the cleaner--- the cleaner asks for administrative permissions. There are two things going on that should be sending up huge red flags. First... The products are placed on the computer whithout the users permission. Second it is seeking administrative permissions to remove ...If there are 20 complaints to the Revdex.com there are thousands maybe millions that do not make it to the Revdex.com. When you go into their software properties they do not even give a company name. I had to search the internet for the products company. This is a nifarius company and I would ask that the Revdex.com investigate further, or send up red flags to the appropriate parties.

The charge you referenced is for the purchase of DriverUpdate that was made on February 11, 2016. After the purchase, you received an email with registration details and  the statement Your bank statement will show a charge by "Slimware Utilities.”
Also, it’s worth noting that before receiving a payment confirmation email, all Slimware Utilities installations features two confirmation prompts that users must click to confirm their desire to continue the purchase; if the user does not consent to the purchase terms on these screens, then no payment is charged.

On Dec.06 / 15 by error I downloaded their program 'Apple Quick Time 7' But I
never activated it, and minutes later left a message to the effect of having a refund
issued by this company: 'Slimwares Utilities Holdings, Inc.' In the meantime, I
left two more messages, but to this day (Dec.08/15) no response yet. Another
startling discovery I made is that 'Apple' offers the download of that program for free.
I don't care about other positive reviews of this company. Based on my experience this company is guilty of software-piracy, and its business modus operandi is an
outright scam.
