Leasing with Slosburg company in Houston, Tx was a very positive experience for me [redacted] and his team were very professional and forthcoming during the initial contracting stages for my commercial leaseI felt comfortable with them at every step of the wayEven after the contract was executed, they remained readily available and pleasant to deal withWhat I was most impressed and grateful for is the fact that they worked with me after I requested changes to the lease after some issues on my end Commercial leasing can be a daunting process but when you deal with such professionalism as the Slosburg Company and their team, you can be at ease and expect a smooth transaction

Since I moved to ***, my quality of life has deteriorated significantlyUpon move-in, this apartment complex was a complete disaster
I should have become suspicious when the apartment I was attempting to lease was not available for tourInstead, they took me to a modelThe model was gorgeousI got excited and signed my life awayI asked to see the actual apartment, or at least walk by it, and they would not agree to take me by it, assuring me that it was being worked on, and that it wasn't good timingThey led me to believe intense construction was under way "putting in new french doors," they saidAs a result, I moved from Beaumont, with my *** on move in day, and did not recognize the apartment I was being givenI had nowhere else to go and a new job that started in a few days' time, so I had no choice but to move in
I have dated pictures and a copy of my mocondition report which show exactly what I am about to describe:
Roaches everywhere (roach droppings, eggs, babies, and full grown roaches of the german and american varieties), even in the dishwasher, oven, and fridgeThe cabinets were defaced and had no knobs on themThe bottom cabinets had no shelves in themThe "shelves" the bottom cabinets have now, cave in with any added weightThe kitchen was unusableThe stove was disgusting, the refrigerator was disgusting, the washer and dryer were standing in the middle of the living room, uninstalledThe sliding doors to the laundry room were missing (I was told they were being "special ordered," and I have since learned that this is an often used phrase which means they are hoping I will forget to ask them about it again in the future)Beyond all of that, the kitchen was filthyThe cabinets, fridge, stove, shelves, and counters had not been cleaned since the tenant moved outThere was mold, rust, and food remnants on everything
The complex later sent a "cleaning crew" by to clean the houseThey had no cleaning supplies except for a couple of rags and a bucketNo cleaning supplies! Needless to say, I had to disinfect the place from top to bottom myself when I moved in
The crew repainted (but didn't clean) my kitchen cabinets and shelves, and they put knobs on the fronts of the cabinets and shelvesGetting the kitchen make-ready took an entire weekThe apartment smelled of fumesI was not reimbursed for the non-use of my kitchen, and *** knew full well that it was in violation of my lease (to provide a habitable home for me and my child)I asked ***, the manager, if we could be reimbursed for costsI also called *** corporateI was denied on both frontsI was naiveI did not think to put my complaint on the Revdex.com website or to pursue legal action
The following week, my kitchen was still in disuse because I had to deal with the roach infestationI asked *** to schedule a pest control service, and he agreed to do soHowever, the next scheduled pest control would not be for a little over a week (I had already been out of my kitchen for an entire week, and the cost of eating out three meals per day cost us a fortune)They would not rush the service for me, so I hired my own pest control*** managed to do it days before *** could, and I have had *** service ever sinceThat amounts to weeks without the use of my kitchen, cleaning, plus pest control fees, for which I was never reimbursed - not to mention the TAA lease contract violation
Continuing on with the inventory of what the place looked like when I moved in:
The blinds were destroyed in every roomThe front door was hard to open and close and let the elements in (light, bugs, water)We asked for a front door immediately (August 2014), and I got it a couple weeks ago (January)The door was also on "special order," or so we were told from the time we moved inNothing gets done, unless you have access to their online maintenance appAs new tenants, we did not know thisWe moved from a beautiful apartment complex in Beaumont, TX, where customer service was keyWe had to "learn the ropes" hereYou will get the run-around until you put everything in writingThe mocondition form apparently does not count
Roof leaks in the upstairs bedrooms
We also experienced an unofficial change in parking rules while we lived hereAs a result, my car, my husband's truck, and my mother's car were all towed on three separate occasionsWe have dated pictures demonstrating that cars regularly parked in the places from which we were towedThe last time my husband's truck was towed from a particular spot in front of our complex, a white *** parked there and stayed for an entire month without being towed (its owner had gone on vacation)That is a total of over $*** for which we have never been reimbursedWe complained to the management office about these irregular and unfair towing practices

Even after the contract was executed, they remained readily available and pleasant to deal with. What I was most impressed and grateful for is the fact that they worked with me after I requested changes to the lease after some issues on my end. Commercial leasing can be a daunting process but when you deal with such professionalism as the Slosburg Company and their team, you can be at ease and expect a smooth transaction.
