We couldn't be happier with the service we received at One Hour. We had a 25 year old unit that was not efficient and needed duct repair because there was no air getting through to two bedrooms.

One Hour replaced it with new equipment that functions properly and efficiently. Our experience was very positive, from diagnosis to completion of the job. Patrick is an extremely hard worker and very professional. His crew (sorry - bad with specific names) did very nice work and left our home clean from all the removed old equipment and duct work.

We would recommend their service to anyone in need of replacing old heating and air-conditioning equipment.

Sincerely,

Leslie C.

Oxnard, CA

Senior Technician Jeff LeMoine conducted his inspection in a most exemplary fashion.

He was punctual, courteous, extremely knowledgeable, fast working and precise, going out of his way to explain his actions in professional, but understandable terms,

answering all our questions and giving us a greater understanding of how our heating & AC systems work.

We were truly impressed.

Review: One hour heating and air contacted me with a service tune up special for $99 dollars. We scheduled the appt. for 9 am on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. The technician, D[redacted], arrived on time and began the servicing of the heat and air units. When he was close to finishing, he informed me that it looked like the condenser for the blower motor was close to going out. He informed me of the price ($193), and also informed me that he "punctured the condenser". I told him that they needed to repair the unit before I paid them anything. He assured me that they had someone coming out asap to make the necessary repairs. I talked with his supervisor, (D[redacted])?,and again was told that they were looking for a new condenser to replace the damaged one. Finally, 2 technicians showed up at approx. 4:40pmto make the repair. We told them that we were leaving at 5pm, and if they could return tomorrow morning. They assured me they could be here by 8am.Well, here it is Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, and they don't show up. I called the office of One Hour and talked to Nicole. She informed me that they were already scheduled for other service calls, and would be able to make it out here on Monday, Aug. 31, between 11am and 2pm. I informed her that this was ridiculous and I would file this formal complaint with Revdex.com. The air conditioner was working fine prior to the arrival of One Hour. This is a health issue in that daytime temperatures have been above the 100 degree mark here for the past 4 days! I have elderly (88+)in - laws, plus seniors staying with us, with NO AC!Desired Settlement: Fix the damaged unit NOW!!!

Response:

The repair was completed on 8/31/15. We repaired the leak on evaporator coil and charged the system with R22 refrigerant. No other recommendations at this time. Customer ok.

Great service - will ask for Jeff/Brett again.

Review: Called one hour heating and air conditioning company because our heater didn't work.My husband was out of town, and it was beginning to get very cold at night and mornings. We called to get their call center out of state. They gave us a 4 hour window 2 days later! Ft hey called 30 minutes prior to the driver reaching our address. I said I wouldn't make it in 30 minutes, and could they be there in 45 minutes? The receptionists became very rude and said that we made the appt and we were suppised to be there! My bookeeper went to my house and they wrrent tbere fore another 30 min! The technician looked at my heater and told me he couldn't fix it because my heater was aplrox 20 years old. If I wanted heat, I either had to buy a new board panel, which would cost me $800-$1000.00 dollars or I need to buy a new unit at approx $3000.00 to $5000.00! He said I needed to give him an answer in 15 min for him to get my heater working! I told him I would need the weekend to discuss that with my husband when he got home! He told me he needed $89.00 for his time. I had to pay him.My husband called another heating company who is lical and wanted a 2nd opinion. The tech fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. It was the gas valve needed to be replaced! He said our heater was fine. It is now working fine! I called one hour heating and air conditioning to ask why they mislead me and took my $89.00 three times today, Oct 14, 2013. There is no access to the local company, only their call center?I have not received a call back and this appears very suspicious to me! I feel what they are doing isn't justified. They are misleading the publuc. They do not have a direct line to their business?Desired Settlement: I would like my $89.00 returned and an explanation on why they couldn't fix my heaters simple problem?

Technician arrived on time and was patient, courteous and professional.

Dan D. worked in a very professional manner. We were pleased with the installation and the fact they cleaned up after they were done. They took the time to explain and answer any questions we had. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing heating and A/C work.

Mike was very friendly and professional he did a great job and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire project I would absolutely recommend one hour heating and ac to everyone. Thanks guys for a great job.

I was very pleased with the inspection service provided by Doug F. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction and gave me more tips and info that I needed to know. The whole process was completed in a timely fashion to my satisfaction.

Re William G and Kaycie R.

Once I decided to have the security alarm system installed, William G. and Kaycie R. worked in tandem to insure the installation occurred smoothly and in a timely fashion. I have had one occasion since the installation to have a "tune up." It was again performed well and in a timely fashion by installer William G. and dispatcher Kaycie R.

We were quite pleased with the professionalism and expertise shown by Mike Brown plus his courteousness. He kept us Informed throughout on all aspects of his service so we new exactly the cause of the problem and what had to be done to remedy the situation.

We would definitely call him again if any problems arise.

Jeff came by to do the one-year maintenance on our AC/heating unit. He was on time, explained everything very clearly and was extremely professional. He couldn't be happier and now we are Club Members too!

Review: We scheduled a $59 service tuneup with a One Hour rep at Home Depot for our heating and air conditioning unit. We were called by one of the One Hour reps prior to the service and asked several questions including if the unit was working. Our air conditioning portion of the unit was not working adequately so they said they would have to send another type truck which would cost $89. When the tech arrived and checked the cooling unit, he said that the dual capacitor needed to be replaced and showed my wife a colored paper that showed the cost for the replacement was going to be $358. After replacing the part in less than 20 minutes, I asked for the part along with the box that the new part came in. The part was a Mars Motor Run Capacitor part number 12294. I quickly ran a check of the retail cost of the part on the Internet, which listed the cost as under $20 at several sites. When I asked the tech about this, he showed me the colored paper with the company set price. While I realize by looking at their invoice the $358 price included labor, the cost of this part made the labor cost around $340 plus the $89 for the evaluation fee and a fixed $4 for an environmental fee.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the difference in the actual retail price of the product, which was under $20, and the $358 that I was charged less the billable cost for 20 minutes of labor. Since they charged an $89 evaluation fee, this should be minimal. I would also like them to provide on there cost sheet a breakdown of the part cost, labor cost, and any other cost associated with their repair of these type of items instead of just lumping it all into one cost.

Review: I contracted one hour heating and air conditioning to come to my home and do a general service on my heating and air conditioning units. During the inspection and service the service tech tried to up charge me several time above the general service fee. He finally came to me with pictures (from I do not know where) of cracks in my heat exchanger. He notified me he was going to disconnect my heating unit. I notified him that he was here for a service inspection and that was it. I did not want him disconnecting my unit and that I would get a second opinion before I committed to a 2000 dollar fix on a unit that is only 10 years old and that I have not had any issues with. This service rep from One Hour turned off the gas to my heater and lied to me about doing so.Desired Settlement: This complaint needs to be made and heard. What needs to be done with it should be decided by the Revdex.com. Companies like this send these service reps out to good peoples houses and try to up charge them from the time you open the front door.

Review: On Oct 12, 2014, [redacted] and a technician named John, insisted that both of my furnaces have cracked heater exchanger and that they are not safe to use. They then wrote up an order to install two new furnaces on Oct 17 for a cost of $10,0000. The next day, Oct 13, I informed David to cancel the order so I would have time to get a second opinion. On Oct 17, I'm told by another company that both heater exchangers were in excellent shape and had a 20 year warranty.Desired Settlement: That they pay service charge of $118.00 for the second opinion.

Response:

Thank you for communicating your experience with our company. Our goal is to make sure that all of our customer's are 100% satisfied with their experience with our company, and it would be our pleasure to refund you the money you spent for the second opinion. However, we must let you know that our technicians go through technical training on a daily basis, along with attending a yearly class that focuses their attention on Heat Exchangers, and the safety of our customer's furnace. Our goal is not to sell you anything, rather to do a detailed inspection of the unit to ensure it is working to the best of it's ability, while ensuring your families safety and comfort. During this inspection, if we find something that appears to be a hazard, we will bring it to your attention, but as a home owner it is up to you to decide what the next step will be in the process.Once again, I am sorry if you did not have a good experience with our company, but as requested we will refund your money. Thank you once again for your time and communication in this matter.

Excellent service by Jeff, will request him again next time.

Review: Three issues had been identified. Part of the 2006 furnace itself needed to be insulated, at an estimate of $358.00. The blower drum needed to be cleaned, amazingly enough, also at a cost of $358.00. The capacitor for the blower motor was at a reading of 9.46 and needed to be replaced. When I asked for more information on this capacitor I was told the following: It should be 10, the technician didn't know what units the readings were in, and that when it reached 9.4 the furnace would cease working. To fix was $153.00 for a new capacitor. I hesitated and the technician told me that the capacitor was the one item he deemed critical, but that I could wait for the furnace to fail and he would return to fix it afterwards, I would only be out of heat for the period to arrange a return.I asked about the warranty on the new capacitor to understand what my investment of $153.00 would get me in order to keep my furnace working. He responded that if the capacitor failed sometime in the next year, he would return and replace it for free. Nothing in writing.Despite my misgivings, I proceeded to authorize the replacement. He finished the job in under ten minutes. I asked him to leave the old capacitor and he hesitated, but upon my insistence he left it. I paid him a total of $193.00 for the replacement of the capacitor, parts and labor (less than ten minutes). I immediately went to the internet to look up this part. Here is a link to the part on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/97F9002-Volt-Oval-Capacitor-Upgrade/dp/B00EUGJ7FO It costs $11.52 at the time of this review. The company charged me some 12x the cost of the part on amazon. They charged me $40 for labor for the replacement. Here is the youtube video showing how to do it yourself in two minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPIZEFzalgII phoned the company within twenty minutes and have been unable to speak with any manager in the 24 hours since the call center told me I would be contacted.Desired Settlement: The company should refund the entire $193.00, parts and labor. I was badly advised and gouged on price.

We want to work with this customer and find out more details about his experience with our company, but we have been unable to contact him to this point. Voice mail message has been left. Please have him call our Operations Manager [redacted] when he has time, so we can resolve this matter.

Mike was awesome! Very knowledgeable and quick and took the time to answer all the questions my husband and I had about our old unit and new unit. Installed our new furnace and cleaned the ducts in just a few hours. Thank you!!!

Very prompt and professional. All of the employees were very polite and answered all of our questions. Our heater needed to be replaced and we decided to add air conditioning to our home. David & Nick explained all of my options. We made a decision to proceed the next day. They arrived right on time, were careful with walls, floor and furniture, and cleaned up when they were done. They were extremely friendly and explained everything that they were doing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of air conditioning.

[redacted] arrived slightly early and got right to work inpecting our heater and ducting. He knows his stuff! Our heater turns out to be 38 years old, and he showed us evidence of how the internal components were failing and seals were absent... inefficient and somewhat dangerous. Matt explained options that his company could do for replacing the heater and ducting, which include services such as permitting, inspections, and annual maintenance, and pricing that is better during the off-season. We are not quick to make big decisions like this, and did not feel pressed to do so as Matt was very pleasant and respectful. We are very impressed, and sincerely appreciate his level of expertise.
