home, and he recharged the system.  The other contractor left notes on his invoice to come back in 30 days to check the refrigerant charge in the system.After receiving a letter from Ms. [redacted] claiming that we sabotaged her air Conditioning unit, we contacted her, and sent the owner of our business out to talk with her.  We explained to Ms. [redacted] that we did not sabotage her unit, and that her unit has a leak in it.
We prepared a letter for Ms. [redacted] to sign that had her admit that the complaint was false.  We paid her $325.06 the amount she paid the other contractor, to withdraw her false complaint.  This letter is attached
The complaint however made it to the Revdex.com.  We contacted Ms. [redacted] and she said that she would contact you to withdrawal the complaint.

Service tech [redacted] and his trainee Andrew provided a thorough check of both my A/C unit and Gas heater today. After the inspection [redacted] went through several details on how the units operate, their condition, and service options for annual maintain. I was very impressed with the quick response, friendliness and attention to detail they offered. I would highly recommend SMW Refrigeration and Heating.

Tweo days ago around noon, a received a call out of the blue from SMW Refer & Heating. They offered a general A/C service for about $39.00. However, if I was to accept a service the next day, the cost would be $29.00 The service was the usual long list of checks but no coil cleaning which was $200 or freon added. They would clean the drain pipe with forced air. Though not my normal reaction, I said suer. had a scheduled service from another company on the calendar for next week & I thought for the nominal fee I would check both companies out.
SMW sent a talented tect named [redacted]. very communacative about what he was doing. Showed me various reading of which I had no idea what spec was. He indicated I needed two capacitors. They would cost over $250 installed. At that time I thought yep, this is a scam. However over 2 hours & a mechanical background, I felt [redacted] knew his stuff but I was not buying in until he offered a 2 year maintenance contract. Cost: $400. This included the service call, 2 capacitors & a total of 4 service calls over the next 24 months. Normal service calls run here about $50 & I have never had my furnace checked in 7 years, so for what would be approximately $200 over the next 24 months for service calls, I thought it would be a fair dea. It included a discount, quick service, etc. and included the days bill of $489 for 2 capacitors & coil clean with foam.
That;s my story & time will tell if my 7 year old system, last serviced 2 years ago, hangs in there for an expected 12 - 15 years. Neighbors have already had major A/C problems.

there are a lot of A/C companies out there good, bad, better but SMW Refrigeration stood out for many reasons.

I called them to diagnose a old unit that would not efficiently cool my first floor on very hot days and was wanting for them to clean the coils/blower motor. The gentlemen I spoke to was very knowledgeable and not just a sales guy; he explained to me that the unit was on his last days and that a clean-up tune up wasn’t going to help much. I was really trying to save $ (for the second year) knowing that a replacement was due…

So we spoke about replacing our 27 yrs old gas furnace / 17 years old compressor with a new Trane system to match the one on the second floor. I immediately felt like I was getting a good price and service and I asked a bunch of technical questions which have been answered one by one.

I obviously did some more research about the equipment and obtained a quote from another company which had very aggressive pricing. I ended up getting a great deal, better equipment and unbeatable financing option (and a awesome thermostat).

This company was able to schedule me for a new installation within a few days and sure enough, they showed up at 8am as they said they would. 2 gentlemen, very polite and professional started working on the unit; they took their time and did not rush the installation. I kept checking their work , asking questions and they were always happy to answer them for me.

Luckily they didn’t encounter any roadblocks so by mid afternoon the new system was blowing cold air.

What a difference!

They kept the working area clean and they also went ahead and explained a few features of the new thermostat.

I also got a follow up call 24 hours later to make sure everything was working as expected.

I am very pleased with the work performed and the people I have dealt with so I made sure I told them they would get my business on my mom’s house and her rental house as well. I would not hesitate to refer them to my friends and family.

Review: My story begins with a telephone call from SMW Refrigeration & Heating offering to provide a maintenance inspection for a cost of $29.95. I accepted the offer and setup an appointment for the inspection. Mind you my system was working fine -just needed an inspection to maintain the level of operation. This is important to keep in mind!On the appointed day the technician arrived. I showed him where the internal system was located and he proceeded to check the air flow from one of the vents. Not much of a comment was made re this check. He then proceeded outside to the main compressor. When he came back into the house he stated that the compressor was leaking oil and the amps were high and then told me that I needed a new system. He then proceeded to make a phone call after which he quoted me a price on a new heating/air system with all the accompanying finance possibilities. Since I had not had an opportunity to comparison shop, I said no to his offer. After some discussion, he then told me he needed to "button up" things outside and returned to the main compressor. Wben he returned, he asked about the thermostat setting I was using to which I responded "I will take care of that". He was obviously preparing to leave so I asked him if he was going to do anything else. He responded with a no and then he left. The only good thing about his visit was that there was no charge.Now here is where things get murky. Keep. in mind,the AC s.ystem was working beautifully before the SMW technician's visit. After the SMW technician left, the AC system ran and ran and ran, struggling to reach the set thermostat temp.After some time, I cycled the system manually to keep it from imploding. The next day, I examined the system and discovered that the gas line which needs to be cold to the touch was now warm to the touch. Obviously the compressor was not functioning properly. I then calfed a friend who gave me the name of a refrigeration and air conditioning company who came out an inspected my system. I explained what had happened, the technician then checked the Freon gas level in the system and lo and behold discovered that the system was just about empty. He then proceeded to check for a leak and discovered none. He then recharged the system with 4 pounds of Freon gas, told me to watch how the syste m operated for about a week and then to give him a call. I did this and the system performed beautifully. For this service I was charged $325.06. I now knew that the SMW technician had sabotaged my AC system and his sabotage had cost me $325.06 (copy of receipt enclosed).Certainly there needs to be some relief for me. I wouk:J hope that SMW Refrigeration & Heating as an ethical company would do the right thing and reimburse me for the unnecessary repair work their technician caused by his sabotage. Desired Settlement: Can I expect a check in the amount of $325.06?

SMW Refrigeration has been servicing my home for the past 2 seasons. They just installed a New Trane Split Gas system on our home. The Work was extremely professional. The service installers were courteous and knew the products being installed. They worked hard in extreme heat and late into the evening to get the entire job finished that day and everything worked perfect.

They are a fantastic local Company with Outstanding Customer Service.

I would recommend them to anyone to handle their HVAC needs.

The team from SMW did an unbelievably great job! My family had two ACs ([redacted]) replaced this month. SMW offered a competitive estimate, but more importantly the work was completed impeccably. The staff was professional, the products are high tech, and the system is working better than I have ever seen it. All of the features of the system were explained; which is great because I do not speak HVAC.

SMW Refrigeration & Heating installed a 5 Ton and a 3 A/C Split air conditioner with 2 furnaces. They were extremely efficient, working late into the evening to make sure all work was done. The work they did was very neat and professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone to use. The installers worked very clean, leaving our house neat. They even did touch up painting to make sure all looked good.

These folks are simply awesome! A/C went out at 5p.m., and by 6:00 p.m. they had one of their techs ([redacted]) out and diagnosing the problem. No fancy, slick talking, no pressure sales, no emergency charges or fees, just down to earth simple facts and options for us to consider. Very pleasant and respectful gentleman. Will not hesitate to call these folks again if we ever have a problem with A/C or furnace. These are people that really seem to want to help you.

SMW Refrigeration and their team are true professionals and we're very happy with their service. Both AC units were inspected and problems were noted and repaired immediately. We purchased the preventative maintenance package and glad we did, as these units were both in need of a good cleaning.

Everything was explained in great detail, and the technicians took their time ensuring the job was done right the first time. I've seen several technicians here that are in a hurry to move on to the next call and have failed to properly complete the repair.

I highly recommend this company and service they provide to anyone, believe me you wont go wrong, and it's money well spent.

I would recommend this company to anyone who needs their serves. They were prompt and took us through the process of getting our air conditioning replaced in great time. The owner and employees were friendly and I am very satisfied.
