Tried to order an entertainment center that was over 1k. Per their shipping page it would be free delivery and assembly to where I live. Also, on the item page, when I put in my zip code, it said free delivery. However, on the actual order page it showed $50 for delivery and another $50 for assembly. When I called to find out what was going on, the guy I spoke to took 10 minutes to "find out what was going on" only to tell me that I was right but there would be a delivery and assembly fee, despite what the other pages on their site said. He chose to lose this sale rather than do the right thing and take care of the fees. Also, when I asked to speak with a manager, he said they were a small business and that he was a manager. I tried to explain to him good customer service as I'm a veteran retail manager, but he was not having it. I would absolutely NOT recommend shopping with them. I can only imagine what I'd go through if I actually placed this order, let alone if there was a problem with it. Based on this experience, I'd give zero stars if I could.
I placed an online order for two chairs with confirmation they were in stock and available for prompt, in-home delivery. Per their standard policy in-home delivery is included in the purchase price. My credit card was charged. Subsequently I received email correspondence from sohomdo.com informing me the chairs were not, in fact, in stock, that they would have to ship from the [redacted] (to [redacted] area) with associated delay and they would be delivered curbside only. I am currently awaiting return of my money; lets see if this shoddy company gets that right.
So disappointing. We ordered a couch only to learn the next morning that it wasn't available. We then tried to contact them via chat, kept getting asked to submit email. Finally, we tried to call but we could not understand the guy on the phone. Definitely looking elsewhere.

Any online store charges before the order are processed/shipped. It is the procedure of any online business. But, the money was refunded the SAME day to the customer. And the customer was notified and explained the issue with his order. We try to explain to our customers, and it is mentioned at our store, that we are RETAIL, not the manufacturer. We do not stock any items, as there are thousands of them. We buy the original and new items directly from the manufacturer and provide the delivery service. We cannot update the inventory daily if the manufacturer doesn't do that. In the furniture business that is possible. Not everyone keeps up with the times. We provided the service we could from our side; We responded timely. And we didn't keep the money. We are sorry. If you hesitate and don't want to place the order, please check the availability in advance and the delivery time-frame over the phone first and then place the order.
