I am sorry that the customer was mistreated at the Newport dealership.The customer was directed to another dealership that is less than 12 miles from her home.We have chosen not to service her vehicles based on the tone of the conversations with her.

Somerset [redacted] can only say  that to our knowledge the oil consumption (16 ounces in 2,000 miles)falls within the limits of normal usage per [redacted] guidelines.We cannot explain any condition that may have occurred and we did not experience.We again suggest that Mr. [redacted] should address this matter directly with [redacted] at the phone number previously supplied to him by us.Best regards,[redacted]rSomerset [redacted]Tell us why here...

I am responding to complaint# [redacted] which was filed by [redacted], Mr. [redacted] purchased the vehicle at the end of October 2014 with 34583 miles on it and he did purchase and extended warranty on the vehicle which does carry a $100 deductible per repair visit that would go into effect at the...

end of the 3yr 36,000 mile basic warranty. Mr. [redacted] brought the vehicle in November 6th with 34583 miles with the complaints of an oil leak, emergency brake not holding and the trim bezel around the emergency brake handle broken, all repairs were taken care of under the basic warranty at no charge including a rental. The vehicle returned on November 10th with 35150 miles still leaking oil and the bezel around the emergency handle broken again, the repairs were again covered under the basic warranty at no charge including the rental. On December 15th 2015 with 36047 miles the customer complained of a tear in the seat which was again covered under the warranty at no charge. On February 25, 2015 with 37943 miles Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for a complaint of noises while driving and turning, the vehicle was inspected and the technician was unable to verify any of the customers concerns and performed a visual inspection of all steering and suspension components for safety which did not identify any problems, the customer was notified and was charged a $35 diagnostic fee as the vehicle was out of basic warranty. Mr. [redacted] came in on June 19th 2015 with mileage over 45,000 miles and complained of a check engine light on at which time he was quoted a standard diagnostic fee of $109 and was told that if what was found was covered under his extended service contract he would only be charged the plans $100 deductible and the diagnostic fee would be waived, Mr. [redacted] did not like that he had a deductible and argued that he should not have to pay it, he proceeded to go to the sales department and try to argue his point that he does not want to pay the deductible for whatever repair was required. Mr. [redacted] has been difficult at every visit even though we have covered questionable issues with his vehicle and we have emphasized to him that we have repaired his issues to try and keep him satisfied, I as the service manager made the decision to not service Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle here any longer and informed him that his extended warranty is good at any [redacted], [redacted] or [redacted] Dealership in the U.S. If you have any questions for me or require any documentation as to my claims please feel free to contact me at [redacted] ext.
