Sonsio, Inc. Reviews (22)

Hello,We have reviewed the claim for the right rear tire on Mr. [redacted] vehicle.    He originally reported he had two tires damaged on his vehicle on December 6th.   On that  call we did explain he would need to take his tires to tire facility and have them call us with...

them in front of them to give us all the damage to both tires and not to dispose of either tire until he knew his claims were processed. Our first contact from a facility was on Dec 13th where we spoke with Guiselle at [redacted] and she gave us partial information on the tires but stated at the time she didn't have the tires in front of her to give us damage or information from the tires.    We asked her to call back with this information. On December 14th Michael from the same [redacted] facility called us back and gave us some tire information, but that did not match the tires Mr. [redacted] had bought from [redacted], we asked if he had the tires in front of him he said he didn't and thought Mr. [redacted] still had the front tire but they had already disposed of the rear tire.   At that time we did request photos of both tires from Mr. [redacted] so we could verify his tires and damage.   We have received photos for his front tire and were able to process and pay that claim.Without the rear tire being available to verify any information or damage we are not able to proceed.    The terms and conditions of the program does require the tires to be available for verification throughout the process.   Also Mr. [redacted] has had prior claims that he was told we needed the tires to verify for claim coverage. So without the rear tire available we are not able to verify road hazard damage or if it was a tire covered by the road hazard warranty. Please let us know if you have any further questions.Thank you Brian K[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/14) */
Based on the contract cancellation request that Sonsio received from the selling dealership, the Tire and Wheel contract in question was not paid for by the customer.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/21) */

I have a contract that shows I paid for the service, not the dealership. The contract says that only I can request to cancel the service, or the lien holder if I default on the loan. I have not requested to cancel the contract nor have I defaulted on the loan. They paid the dealership money that I paid for the service.
I have contacted them by phone several times and each time they tell me they are working on it and will get back with me. This is the first response that I have gotten, and it is not true, and I can prove it with the contract. I can send a copy of the contract, all five pages if you would like.
They sent the money to the wrong place someone got the money and now Sonsio, Inc is trying to cover it up.
I will continue to pursue this, everyone should be very careful of dealing with this company. Fortunately in Texas they are governed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which is where I will file my next complaint. Then the Texas Attorney General's consumer complaint office, and I will see if I can get one of the local TV watchdogs to do a story on this group.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/11/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Sonsio sent me an email with an attachment from the dealer that shows I paid for an extended warranty on the truck. They say I did not buy the extended warranty on the tires and wheels, but I have a contract with them that shows I did. I sent them the a copy of the contract, at their request, they then asked for me to send them more information which I did, they then asked for me to send more information. All of these requests were a week apart, they are delaying solving this issue by continuing to ask for more information from me that is irrelevant to the contract I had with them. Now they say that I am not providing information. They are just delaying so they do not have to refund the money that they say they sent back to the dealer, when they should have sent it to me. The contract specifies that only I or the lien holder can cancel the contract and neither one of us did. They say that they did not receive funds on this contract, but the first conversation I had with their company said that they had refunded the money to the dealership. If they never got the money, how could they refund to the dealership. Their stories do not line up.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/11/10) */
Please see attached the purchase agreement and the retail installment sales contract. Both of these contracts show that the customer paid $2,390 only once. The retail installment sales contract specifically states that this amount was paid for the Daimler Chrysler 72 month / 72,000 mile contract. The purchase agreement shows the amount was paid for the extended service program. This is not Sonsio's contract.
[redacted] from the dealership explained to Sonsio that the dealership mistakenly filled out a contract for the Tire and Wheel program. The dealership did not receive any funds for this contract even though the contract mistakenly shows the $2,390 amount that was paid for the contract with Daimler Chrysler.
The customer needs to take this to the dealer. The customer did not pay Sonsio directly. He correctly states that Sonsio was paid for this contract. The amount that Sonsio received was $189. The dealer then contacted Sonsio and stated that they had not received any consideration / money for the Tire & Wheel contract. The lack of consideration leaves the customer without a contract. Sonsio then refunded the $189 that the dealer had sent to us. Because of this refund, Sonsio has not received any consideration for the contract. Again, Sonsio did not receive money from the customer and therefore Sonsio does not owe the money back to the customer.
There is nothing further that Sonsio can do to help this customer. He will need to contact the dealer to discuss with them.
