Wow! My experience with Southern Star was better than what I expected. They were recommended to me by a neighbor after we both had a not so professional contact with another roofing company. The process was very smooth from the initial call to Southern Star through the completion of my roof. I dealt with Greg and Alex and both were super nice and professional. Alex is awesome! I have told several people about Southern Star and what a wonderful job they did on my roof replacement. I definitely would recommend Southern Start Construction LLC for any roofing needs.

We had the best experience with Southern Star after a few false starts with some other roofing companies in the area (who knew roofing companies don't like to work with Allstate? ;)). They were responsive and professional and thorough. Definitely recommend!

My experience with Southern Star was second to NO one! The process for having my roof replaced honestly felt like I didn't have to do a thing. From the original call to Brandon and the high quality of professionalism in our conversation I knew I have chosen the right company to do the work. I am a VERY particular person about work being done to my home. When the crew showed up that morning, it was very professional and was very impressed how well they work together. Yes they were there to do a job, but at the same time they had fun with it. A happy crew is a valuable crew and makes for a quality job in my opinion. Anyone unsure about hiring a company to replace a roof, or, new roof I would highly recommend Southern Star.

As for the appearance after they completed the job I want to share this. I came home 3 days later to a woman in my driveway that mistook the Southern Star sign in the front yard for a For Sale sign and wanted to buy my home because she said it was beautiful.

We had a great experience with Southern Roofing. They came recommended by a coworker and so glad we used them. They were very professional during the entire process, and the project manager personally came to talk to us the day after we called, to review our damage and roof for an estimate. We were working with insurance and he was extremely helpful in getting our claim approved. Their team was very fast and efficient and the quality of the work is great! We were very pleased and would highly recommend this company!

We had damage to our roof and after contacting many contractors and roofing experts Southern Star was simply the best to use. Alex in their office was in constant contact on the best date to do the work, when they would arrive and what to expect. Their crew was right on time, you knew they were there and still invisible as it were. The final result was better then hoped and the best thing was unlike others out there they did not need their hands held. They showed up, got the job done, cleaned up and got out. Best experience you could ask for.

This company surpassed all my expectations. Phone conversations were polite and professional. They did what they said. They were on time. They wasted no time. The work was fantastic. Southern Star did an absolutely fantastic job fixing my roof & gutters. They were very prompt in originally coming out to look at the damage and providing an estimate. Hunter was very informative in letting me know what caused the problem and how they were going to be fixed. Then they were able to fix all the problems right away without there being any further damage. I'd highly recommend them for many reasons. Fantastic service from every representative I spoke with, quality of the work done to complete the job in a very timely manner, and of course it helped that they kept the pricing down. High recommend!

Southern Star was one of three bids we sought to replace our roof and gutters. Their knowledgeable and helpful representative had us leaning their way and their superior leaf guard sealed the deal. Their estimate was spot on. They tore off the old roof. Repaired wood as necessary and replaced the shingles in one day. Weather permitting, they returned to do the gutters and leaf guard. We were kept in the loop at every step. They protected landscaping and magnetically picked up nails. We are well pleased and highly recommend.

I had some siding damaged in various places around the house. Southern Star came out and inspected the siding then was able to match it perfectly and replace them all. Can't tell which pieces are the old siding and which are new.

Yes! A roofing company that is honest and dependable! Recommended by a trusted friend. When she mentioned Southern Star, I recalled a short tv news piece on a 'good neighbor' that put a new roof on a elderly person's house at no charge. In the piece I spotted the name of the company as Southern Star.
What makes them so good? They are honest and dependable. The owner and founder of Southern Star, Brandon J, came out himself to give me the estimate. He's definitely a 'hands on' owner that cares. He promised me he would only charge me the deductible on my home insurance no matter what. He worked with the Insurance company. That took a lot of extra time because of the insurance's mix up. (He patiently worked out the problem for me.) The materials he used was of the highest quality available, and he oversaw the entire process - - hands on. The work was done on time, and when he promised.
My new roof looks beautiful, the job is done very well, protecting all my perennial plants and lawn, and a very particular clean up. My expectations, were exceeded many times over. Seems like I should pay a higher price for such a quality job, but nope, just the deductible. Wow, I'm impressed!

We have recently worked with Southern Star Roofing & Construction company for our roof replacement as well as other repairs. The company owner Mr. Brandon J was very helpful and professional from the initial evaluation to assist in work with insurance company to schedule the detailed work. On the day of the roof replacement, with materials all pre-ordered and delivered as scheduled, Brandon came personally to inform us about the plan and to make sure the crew was in place to do a great job. The foreman on the job, Gerome is very experienced and provided his crew with all the decisions needed on the spot and ensured the job to be done not just on time but also with high quality. All the crew members are very skillful and well organized on their tasks. Roof replacement was completed from beginning to end on the same day! What an amazing job! When they left, we had a new roof and a clean front and back yard with a little sign of a major construction was done on that day. With some unfinished repair work, Brandon, Alex (office manager), and Gerome are in close contact with us for scheduling the work and we thank all of them for doing such a great job in helping their customers.

In summary, we are very impressed with the professionalism and thoughtfulness Mr. J and his company exhibited doing this job and truly appreciate their efforts to go extra miles in helping their customers. Therefore, we would highly recommend this company for roofing and construction related projects.
