I am sorry the consumer still feels the matter is not resolved
There are always several circumstances and two sides to every story
Due to third party collection laws we are not at liberty
To discuss such in an open forum
My suggestion is that the consumer contact us directly
In the event he wants to resolve his issue

Please note that I spoke to them on Friday and was told that the $12.50 was a courtesy to remove the item from my credit report.  When I asked to view the bill, they said that I "REFUSED" to give my current address.  They never asked for my address and now they are telling me that I refused to give them my address.  [redacted] from Southwest Collection told me that I do not understand how their collection business works and that I should hire a lawyer to explain to me how to settle a $50 bill.[redacted] said that she will mail me the bill but it was too much of a hassle for a $50.00 bill.  If $50.00 is too little, then STOP ACCEPTING COLLECTION BILLS FOR THIS AMOUNT.  Obviously you don't want to due your job for a small bill, then DON"T take these type of bills for your business.Yesterday I finally got my bill, it was $49.80, but to my surprise, SOUTHWEST COLLECTION now shows a bill of $61.00.  I called to request an explanation and KELLIE DAY told me that it was the INTEREST THAT ACCRUES DAILY.  Funny how last Thursday my bill was $50.00 plus $12.50 to remove from the credit bureau, and now that I told them that I don not want to pay the $12.50 and just settle my bill they come back and add the INTEREST that was not mentioned to me on my original call.  Later I was transferred to the SUPERVISOR, JOE, who told me "STOP BEIGN CHEAP" and pay the $61.00.  They don't have time to waste for a $50.00 bill. AGAIN, if a bill is so small TO WASTE YOUR TIME, you are in the WRONG BUSINESS or you are taking business that you obviously are not willing to work for. SOUTHWEST COLLECTION SERVICES INC in ORANGE, CA is the worst collection business.  I talked to them 3 times to settle by bill which I was not aware of until I CALLED THEM, and the 3 times, I get 3 UNPROFESSIONAL people that treat you like their time is gold and they don't want to bother with small bills.

an email to consumer that only the principal balance is paid. The remaining balance is due the collection agency.The account will be reported to the credit bureaus as "paid in full"once the account has been PAID IN FULL (This includes interest charges)

Nothing has been resolved.  This will be in an open forum.  You have placed a collection account on my bureau in which doe's not belong to me.  Once again, if you call the Dentist accountant she will say this is a true statement.  I reside in the   
state of Texas and you do not have a license .  I demand a letter from you to remove from my bureau.  My name is nowhere on this bill.

According to the original creditorthe consumer has paid the remaining balance.We can now consider this matter closed And update credit reporting accordingly.

Please see attached correspondence with [redacted] direct. Please note I never had a contract with [redacted] and have never been provided with any signed contracts allowing said interest in the event of non payment. The attached letter is confirmation by them that the account was paid in full. The collection company was collecting for a creditor by the name of [redacted] I had requested on multiple occasions copies of any billing statements and or contracts and was only provided one by [redacted] direct at my request on 12/8/2014 after I found out their identity by SW collections. Legally since I never had any contracts I cannot be charged interest per codes below:
Interest on Debts (when no judgment exists)
Section 808(1) prohibits debt collectors from collecting any amount unless the amount is expressly authorized by the agreement creating the debt or is permitted by law. For purposes of this section, “amount” includes not only the debt, but also any incidental charges, such as collection [53 Fed. Reg. 50108] charges, interest, service charges, late fees, and bad check handling charges.
808(2) Legality of charges. A debt collector may attempt to collect a fee or charge in addition to the debt if either:
(a) the charge is expressly provided for in the contract creating the debt and the charge is not prohibited by state law, or
(b) the contract is silent but the charge is otherwise expressly permitted by state law.
Conversely, a debt collector may not collect an additional amount if either:
(a) state law expressly prohibits collection of the amount or
(b) the contract does not provide for collection of the amount and state law is silent.
808(3). If state law permits collection of reasonable fees, the reasonableness (and consequential legality) of these fees is determined by state law.
808(4). A debt collector may establish an “agreement” without a written contract. For example, he may collect a service charge on a dishonored check based on a posted sign on the merchant’s premises allowing such a charge, if he can demonstrate that the consumer knew of the charge.

It should be the policy of every business to give respect to their customers but in the two calls to my wife this policy was not in effect due to the rudeness of the agent and hung up on my wife as well. I am still requesting a formal apology from that business.

Review: I originally received a letter from them in 2011 requested copies of any contract I might've had with the creditor and never received a response. After multiple requests and multiple credit bureau disputes I spoke with Louis and requested the actual creditors phone number and information. I contacted them directly and received a copy of the billing statement which turned out in fact to be mine but was being mailed to an invalid address. I then made payment in full directly with the creditor and received a copy saying such. Within two hours I received a phone call stating that I now owed more money but it was two SW. collection directly. I again called original creditor and they confirmed that everything was absolutely paid in full. Louis then called me a child and said that he was going to leave it on my credit and ruin my report. I have previously filed a cease and desist along with debt validation letters via certified mail they have completely ignored the requests. They have also verified the debts with credit bureaus before validating with me violating FDCPA regulations.Desired Settlement: Resolution Sought: Report debt completely or report as paid in full nothing owed.

Review: I found that I had a collection against me for a mere $60. This collection was in part, keeping me from obtaining a home loan for me and my 2 little girls.I called this collection agency to pay the bill (not dispute it). In return I only asked for a letter of deletion.Instead of a letter and a thank you, I got scolded, berated, and treated like a war criminal. Each person I spoke to decided to give me a life lesson on why I should pay bills on time and that all the problems I was facing were my fault and not theirs.I understand collection agencies have to be aggressive sometimes. But this was one time where they did not need to be. I WAS CALLING TO PAY THEM!In either case, the level of mistreatment was insurrountable. Even if people owed me money, I would not ever want them treated this way.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to call me to tell me they will send my my deletion letter. I would also like to know they recognize the unprofessional behavior and will be more cognisant of their customer's perspective.

Review: My wife called this business for me as I work during business hours. The supervisor cussed her out and called her names rather than just stating he could not speak with her about my account.Desired Settlement: I would expect that an adult supervisor would be able to have an adult conversation without such rudeness and vulgar language. I believe my wife should get an apology.

Review: I am a medical doctor who provided services to my patients. This collection service company represents a Laboratory who came to my office and solicited business from me without any formal contract. While the third party insurance companies did not pay this lab. when he billed for his services he came after my practice and put me and my social security number for collection that ruined my credit. I spoke to "Joe Johnson" at Southwest collection several times that his client(The laboratory) needs to bill the patients directly or appeal to their insurance company but at no avail. There is no reason to put my name and my practice on collection and their client has failed to go through correct remedies. They need to immediately remove collection from my credit.Desired Settlement: I need them to remove the collection from my personal credit immediately and redirect their client to follow ethical and legal remedies.

Review: I just found out that Southwest Collection had put a negative post on my credit report.

Southwest Collection never contacted us regarding this bill. They say is for a medical bill from 2013.

When I asked them why we were never contacted, they claimed they send letters to an address that I have not been living at since 2009.

As soon as I find out about this bill, I wanted to pay immediately and have them remove the report from my credit report. The bill is for $50.00. I was told that in order for them to remove them from my report, I have to pay them additional $12.50.

They couldn't even find my bill at the beginning. They have the wrong spelling. Wrong name, wrong address but certainly no hesitation to put a black mark on my credit history.

This clearly is a black mailing to get more money.

I would have gladly pay the bill if I was contacted or seen a bill for the services.

It is outrageous the practices of this business that does little effort to collect on a bill and does not hesitate to ruin my credit report and when ask to remedy they ask for more money.

This collection agency should have the decency to remedy my status and not hold my report liable for additional profit. This unethical business tactic is costing me 100 points off my otherwise perfect score credit.

If you are in a business of collection, do your job and collect. Your job is not to ruin someone's credit without giving that person a chance to pay a bill that was never received to begin with.Desired Settlement: Remove the collection item from my credit report without asking for money to remove it.

I will gladly pay the original bill of $50.00 as soon as I get a bill for it.

As soon as I pay the $50, remove the item from my credit report.
